Abstract Background Cryptococcosis is an opportunistic infection caused by the encapsulated yeast Cryptococcus neoformans and most remarkably manifests in HIV-infected individuals, especially in the settings of very low CD4 count. Development of cryptococcosis in HIV-uninfected individuals is exceedingly rare and usually signifies a marked immunodeficiency. Cryptococcosis in association with myasthenia gravis or thymoma has been previously documented in only very few cases in the literature. Case presentation We reported a complicated case of severe cutaneous cryptococcosis in a 39-year-old Vietnamese male patient with myasthenia gravis on long-term immunosuppressive therapy. The patient presented with a five month history of recurrent and progressive skin lesions that later on progressed into cryptococcal meningitis. Conclusion Through this case, we aimed to emphasize the importance of including cutaneous cryptococcosis in the differential diagnosis of cutaneous lesions in patients on chronic immunosuppressive therapy. The cutaneous manifestations of cryptococcosis can be the first clue for a disseminated disease, which makes early recognition crucial and life-saving.

This paper addresses the influence of personal traits on the leadership outcomes of change by principals in primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary levels in Vietnamese schools. The research employed a survey questionnaire method to collect data, which was processed using SPSS software version 22. The design of the practical study was carried out based on the literature review and theoretical research. The paper did not use the original research ideas of previous authors but made certain adjustments to align with the research objectives and context. Linear regression analysis was utilized, with six categories of personal traits as independent variables consisting of thirteen specific traits, and two dependent variables representing leadership outcomes, including teacher leadership outcomes and general leadership outcomes. The analysis results revealed that teacher leadership outcomes are negatively influenced by arrogance, dominance, authoritarian thinking, emotionality, and balanced thinking, and they are positively influenced by proactivity, adaptability and discipline, perfectionism, curiosity, and eagerness to learn. The initial study results provide a foundation for applying the role of school leaders' personal traits in management, leadership, evaluation policies, and personnel appointments in schools today. Ngày nay, phép biến đổi wavelet liên tục được ứng dụng rất nhiều trong việc phân tích dữ liệu trường thế nhằm định vị các nguồn gây ra dị thường cùng các thuộc tính của chúng. Với dữ liệu từ vùng vĩ độ rất thấp như vùng Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long (vĩ độ 11,07o), phương của vector cường độ từ hóa và phương của trường từ Trái đất nơi đo đạc thường nằm nghiêng làm cho các dị thường từ có dạng bất đối xứng và nằm lệch đi so với nguồn. Do đó, dị thường từ những vùng này rất khó phân tích. Trong bài báo này, phép biến đổi wavelet liên tục hai chiều (2-D) sử dụng hàm wavelet Farshad-Sailhac sẽ được nghiên cứu, áp dụng để đưa dị thường bất đối xứng về dạng đối xứng và dịch chuyển tâm dị thường về tâm nguồn, từ đó, xác định được vị trí tâm vật thể gây ra dị thường bằng phương pháp cực đại độ lớn biến đổi wavelet, góp phần nâng cao chất lượng minh giải dữ liệu từ vùng này. Ngoài ra, để xác định các thuộc tính của nguồn trường được tốt hơn, hàm tương quan tuyến tính giữa độ sâu nguồn và tham số tỉ lệ ứng với hệ số biến đổi wavelet cực đại, cũng như hệ thức cho phép ước lượng kích thước nguồn đã được xây dựng. Sau khi kiểm chứng độ tin cậy của phương pháp được đề xuất qua các mô hình lý thuyết, quy trình phân tích dữ liệu từ vùng vĩ độ thấp đã được xây dựng và áp dụng để minh giải dữ liệu từ thuộc vùng Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long.
