Few-shot segmentation aims to achieve object-specific semantic segmentation in query images by conditioning on specific objects identified within support images. Previous methodologies predominantly relied on evaluating similarities between semantic-level prototypes of support features or comprehensive pixelwise support information and query images to inform predictions for queries. However, a significant domain discrepancy has been identified between the extracted query features and their support counterparts, resulting in a significant misalignment in the distribution of support and query features. As a result, direct analogies between support and query information cannot ensure the precision of query predictions. In this investigation, a distribution adaptation network is introduced, meticulously designed to learn discriminative representations and alleviate the distributional disparities between support features and query features. The adaptation network embeds both support and query features into Reproducing Kernel Hilbert Spaces (RKHS) and optimally aligns their distributions. The distributional gap is effectively bridged through optimal kernel embedding alignment, facilitated by a multiple kernel learning strategy. Extensive experimentation on datasets PASCAL-5i, COCO-20i and FSS-1000 unequivocally demonstrates that the proposed Kernel-Aligned Distribution Network (KADN) achieves state-of-the-art performance. In this study, a C-ALS underground cavity scanner was used to detect the shapes of mining goafs. In addition, GTS software was adopted to establish a three-dimensional geological model based on the status of the stopes, geological data, and mechanical parameters of each rock mass and to analyze the roof areas of the goafs. In regard to the morphology of the study area, based on a thin plate theory and the obtained field sampling data, a formula was established for the thicknesses of the reserved protective layers in the goafs. In addition, a formula for the thicknesses of the protective layers in the curved gobs was obtained. The thickness formula of the protective layers was then successfully verified. The detection results showed that the roof shapes of the goafs in the Yuanjiacun Iron Mine were mainly arc-shaped, and the spans of the goafs were generally less than 20 m. The stability of the arc-shaped roofs was found to be greater than that of the plate-shaped roofs. Therefore, by reducing the thicknesses of the protective layers in mining goafs, the ore recovery rates can be increased on the basis of safe production conditions. The formula of the thickness of the security layers obtained through the thin plate theory was revised based on the statistical results of the roof shapes of the goafs and then combined using GTS and FLAC3D. The modeling method successfully verified the stability of the mined-out areas. It was found that the verification results were good, and the revised formula was able to improve the recovery rate of the ore under the conditions of meeting safe production standards. Also, it was found that the revised formula could be used in the present situation. At the same time, it was also determined that the complexity of the rock masses obstructed the full identification of the joints and fissures in the present orebodies. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate C-ALS underground cavity scanners to regularly observe the shapes of the goafs in order to ensure that stability and safety standards are maintained. Lung cancer is the leading cause of global cancer-associated mortality. Genomic alterations in lung cancers have not been widely characterized, however, the molecular mechanism of tumor initiation and progression remain unknown, and no molecularly targeted have been specifically developed for its treatment and diagnosis. The present study observed the upregulation of Aldo-keto reductase family 1 member Bio10 (AKR1B10) lung cancer tissues by analyzing two public lung cancer gene expression datasets. Further experiments in silencing AKR1B10 demonstrated that the expression of AKR1B10 was associated with cell proliferation, cell cycle, adhesion and invasion, as well as extracellular-signal-regulated kinase/mitogen activated protein kinase signal pathway. The overexpression of AKR1B10 in lung cancer indicates the important role of AKR1B10 in tumorigenesis. These findings suggest that AKR1B10 could be a potential diagnosis and treatment mark of lung cancer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The adhesive strength between a phase change film and electrodes is important for the application of phase change random access memory. The adhesive strength between Ge2Sb2Te5 and various types of electrodes as a function of annealing temperature was investigated using Nano Indenter®. The structural transformation of Ge2Sb2Te5 during annealing was studied by X-ray diffraction. Results show that adhesive strength decreases with an increase in annealing temperature. The adhesive strength between amorphous Ge2Sb2Te5 and electrodes is higher than that between polycrystalline Ge2Sb2Te5 and electrodes, and TiN is a better choice as a heating electrode in the phase change memory application than W and Ti. Objective: To investigate the clinical application of perioperative nursing care for patients with osteosarcoma of the distal femur who received artificial knee replacement., Methods: A total of 80 patients with osteosarcoma of the distal femur admitted to our hospital from March 2019 to March 2020 were selected as research subjects and divided into the control group and the study group according to their admission sequence. The control group was given routine nursing care, while the study group was given perioperative nursing care. The negative emotions, sleep quality, limb function, pain, complication rate, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups of patients after nursing care were analyzed., Results: After nursing care, (1) the Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) and Hamilton anxiety scale (HAMA) scores of the study group were both lower than those of the control group; (2) the sleep quality score of the study group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.001); (3) the study group obtained higher limb function score and excellent-and-good rate than the control group (P < 0.05); (4) the pain score of the study group was lower than that of the control group (P < 0.05), and the time to functional exercise and length of hospital stay of the study group were shorter than those of the control group (P < 0.05); (5) patients in the study group had a lower complication rate than those in the control group (P=0.02); (6) the nursing satisfaction rating of the study group was higher than that of the control group (P < 0.001)., Conclusion: For patients with osteosarcoma of the distal femur treated by artificial knee replacement, in addition to the amelioration of negative emotions and sleep quality, perioperative nursing also improves the patients' limb function and satisfaction and mitigates pain and complications., Competing Interests: None., (AJTR Copyright © 2021.)

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a common lung cancer of high incidence. Since NSCLCs often grow rapidly, it is critical to elucidate the underlying mechanisms. Previous studies have shown that microRNAs (miRNAs) play critical roles in the carcinogenesis of NSCLC. Specifically, miR-1271 has been shown to downregulate in NSCLC cells. However, whether the downregulation of miR-1271 relates to carcinogenesis of NSCLC is unknown. Here, we analyzed the levels of miR-1271 and mTor in NSCLC specimens and studied their correlation. We performed bioinformatics analysis and luciferase-reporter assay to study the association of miR-1271 with mTor mRNA. We analyzed miR-1271 levels in NSCLC cells and studied their effects on mTor levels. The growth of miR-1271-modified NSCLC cells was evaluated in vitro in an MTT assay, and in vivo by bioluminescence. We detected significantly higher levels of mTor and significantly lower levels of miR-1271 in the NSCLC specimens, compared to the paired non-tumor lung tissues. We found that miR-1271 bound to the 3'UTR of mTor mRNA to prevent its translation. Overexpression of miR-1271 in NSCLC cells decreased mTor protein levels, whereas inhibition of miR-1271 increased mTor protein levels, without affecting mTor transcripts. Moreover, overexpression of miR-1271 suppressed the NSCLC growth in vitro and in vivo, while inhibition of miR-1271 significantly increased NSCLC growth. Together, these data suggest that in NSCLC, miR-1271 may inhibit the cancer cell growth through mTor suppression.
