Phytosynthesis is a reliable way to produce metal nanoparticles without affecting the environment. Plant extracts act as reducing agent and favors nanoparticle synthesis. Recently, potential drugs were developed in nanotechnology platforms by the green synthesis approach. In this study, the leaves extract of ‘Moringa Oleifera’ (M. oleifera) used as a reducing agent for the synthesis of Lanthanum oxide nanoparticles (La2O3 NPs). The X-ray diffraction (XRD) confirmed the formation of body-centered cubic structure of La2O3 NPs. The optical behavior of La2O3 NPs was analyzed by UV–Vis spectrum. The bandgap energy of the La2O3 NPs was found to be 4.31 eV using Tauc’s plot. The morphology and purity of La2O3 NPs was analyzed by using Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectrum. High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope (HR-TEM) analysis reveals the morphology, lattice spacing, and selected area electron diffraction (SAED) pattern of the La2O3 NPs. The XPS analysis of the La2O3 NPs reveals the binding energy of La (3d5/2 and 3d3/2) and O 1s at 835.5, 852.3, and 536 eV respectively. The total antioxidant activity (TOA) of La2O3 NPs was found to be 75.32% at 500 µg/mL with the standard drug of vitamin C. The anti-inflammatory activity of the La2O3NPs was found to be 94.15% at 500 µg/mL using the bovine serum albumin denaturation (BSA) technique. The inhibitory activity of La2O3 NPs against α-amylase was found to be 79.99% at 500 µg/mL. In summary, the pure, highly stable and good biocompatible, greener approach based M. oleifera assisted La2O3 was synthesized for radical scavenging, α-amylase and BSA denaturation inhibition activities which can play a key role in the future biomedical and nano-biotechnological applications.

The development of nanoparticles (NPs) for biomedical and pharmaceutical applications is in high demand in the field of science and technology, due to their potential inhibition against pathogens. The eco-friendly green methodology is used for the synthesis of lanthanum oxide (La2O3) Nps using Eucalyptus globulus (E. globulus) leaf extracts. X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and selected area electron diffraction (SAED) studies reveal the formation of hexagonal structured La2O3 NPs. The vibrational modes of La2O3 were analyzed using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) analysis. The Ultraviolet–visible (UV–Vis) analysis revealed the optical absorption of La2O3 with a cutoff wavelength of 290 nm. The particle distribution and surface nature were confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM) analysis with an average particle size of 50.37 nm. The main aim of this study is to control various inflammations and diabetic diseases using La2O3 as a potential inhibiting drug.

Bio-nanotechnology is an effective technique for the synthesis of nanoparticles in a greener approach without affecting the environment. The present research provides the in-vitro synthesis of Zephyranthes Rosea flower extract substituted silver oxide nanoparticles by a greener approach for the first time. The formation of the face centered cubic structure of Ag2O NPs was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) analysis to confirm the chemical states and purity of Ag and O. The optical absorption peak of the nanoparticle was found to be at 420 nm and optical emission peaks were observed at 412 nm, 485 nm, and 530 nm. The bandgap energy of the Ag2O NPs was found to be 2.48 eV. The morphology of the nanoparticles was found to be spherical with the particle size about 10−30 nm and the lattice inter-planar spacing was found to be 0.222 nm. Ag2O NPs Zephyranthes Rosea were found to be a potential candidate for the antibacterial activity against the strains of Escherichia coli, Streptococcus mutants, and Staphylococcus aureus. The antioxidant activity of Ag2O NPs was found to be 73.82 % at 100 μg/mL with the standard drug of ascorbic acid. The anti-inflammatory activity of the Ag2O NPs was found to be 97.19 % at 500 μg/mL using the BSA denaturation technique. The anti-diabetic activity of the Ag2O NPs was tested by α-amylase assay and the inhibition percentage was found to be 75.7 % at 500 μg/mL.
