Open source technologies offer significant tools for the contemporary visual artist to produce work that critiques the spectacular with its own techniques of representation. Simultaneously, these technologies allow artists to foreground and problematize issues of authorship, community and "the common," by which I mean contexts apart from capital's drive for accumulation and profit. In this thesis, I explore the artistic potentials of the maker movement as a means of what Paulo Virno terms, "the subversion of capitalist relations [which] can only manifest itself through the institution of a public sphere outside the state and a political community that hinges on the general intellect."1 Three machinic sculptures are discussed: A phone booth with a kiosk interface to access the data of the CIA's World Fact Book, a robotic chalkboard composed largely of modular, laser-cut components and a tracked robot suspended from the ceiling that draws in light within a large volume, but requires camera-vision to perceive the inscribed imagery. All machines are open source projects, in that their designs and software build upon existing work and will be released under complementary open source licenses. Connections between industrial automation and open source 3D printers are used to argue for the continued expansion of toolsets for artists through a reappropriative production of deinstitutionalized documentation.

The image of the Hussite movement as a phenomenon of the Czech nation of the Middle Ages and the present day was portrayed in the music of that time and also in the operatic works of the 19th and 20th centuries. The purpose of my work was to find a way to handle this idea of individual composers, particularly in Zdeněk Fibich's opera Blaník, in Karel Šebor's opera Nevěsta husitská and in opera written by Karel Bendl Dítě Tábora. I would like to highlight in my work how we perceive currently Hussite images captured in these two operatic works, written in thein particular time of the 19th century.

In the light of the dynamic societal changes that have occurred in the last few decades, the difficulties encountered by the church in her proclamation of the Good News of the coming of God's reign and in meeting the challenges posed by contemporary culture, the crisis of the missionary identity of the church and the inadequacy of its inherited ecclesiologies has been fully revealed. The Gospel and Our Culture Network (GOCN) in North America aims at the renewal of the church's missionary identity in order to help her to grasp better her task of witnessing in the world. GOCN argues that this goal cannot be achieved without thorough reflection on the gospel and culture and their dynamic interaction. This thesis Missional Church: The Characteristics of the Gospel and Our Culture Network's Conception of Missional Ecclesiology will acquaint its readers with GOCN, its historical development, its understanding of the gospel and the analysis of its context. Tato práce se věnuje milosrdenství v teologii osvobození u Jona Sobrina a prost ednictvím témat, jež Sobrino p ináší, a důrazů, jež klade, nahlíží na milosrdenství Svatého roku, který na konci roku 2015 vyhlásil papež František. Sobrinova chudých a je silně formována osobní zkušeností, již učinil Sobrino v Salvadoru. Chudobou má na mysli p edevším nespravedlivou chudobu Latinské Ameriky nebo ší eji T etího světa. Těmto důrazům odpovídá pojetí milosrdenství, jež je určeno zejména nespravedlivě chudým. Na jeho počátku stojí soucit, z něhož p ímo vychází pot eba druhému pomoci, osvobodit ho od jeho utrpení. ídit se principem milosrdenství pak neznamená pouze p ímou pomoc, ale také hledání p íčin utrpení. Ty jsou podle teologie osvobození systémové, a proto nestačí apelovat na změnu chování jednotlivců, ale také na transformaci společenských institucí. Františkovo pojetí milosrdenství je v rámci dokumentů, jež se vztahují ke Svatému roku, širší. Je určeno nejen těm, kte í trpí nedostatkem, ale také h íšníkům, kte í jsou si vědomi vlastní h íšnosti. Práce klade spolu se Sobrinem důraz p edevším na první stránku milosrdenství, a proto se podrobněji věnuje Františkovým postojům k p íčinám chudoby. In the second half of the 20th century, Latin American liberation theology has enriched the theological debate with the notion of social (alternatively structural) sin, which means a non-individual form of evil, often connected with institutions or social structures. The aim of this bachelor thesis The notion of social sin in the texts of liberation theology and the documents of the magisterium is to describe and elucidate the concept of social sin and to compare it with the similar thoughts developed in the documents of the magisterium. However, the thesis also points to the more general considerations about the nature of sin and evil, seeks the relation between the images of social and original sin and sketches the consequence of the concept of structural sin for social work. The dissertation of Petr Jandejsek analyzes Christologies of the three contemporary Jesuit theologians: Jacques Dupuis, Roger Haight and Jon Sobrino. In terms of method it calls their approaches "from below". Epistemology used by their Christologies proceeds from human, particular, historically- grounded experience toward its revealing source. Given that the three Christologies were subjected to a critique from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the dissertation raises questions regarding the innovative features of their Christologies as well as their limits. It is argued that they can complement the so-called "Christologies from above", which proceed "from God", from the divine revelation that has been given to the human beings and requires obedience. In this dissertation "theology from above" is exemplified by the work of Joseph Ratzinger. The dissertation identifies common sources of the Christologies in question. They are found in the Ignatian spirituality, the theology of Karl Rahner and the experiences gained in the missionary work. The aim of the present thesis is to offer an expository account of the themes and problems in contemporary Christian soteriology based on the introduction and evaluation of three contemporary soteriological concepts of the Irish Anglican theologian David Ford, the American orthodox theologian David Bentley Hard and the Sri Lankan catholic theologian Aloysius Pieris. In the Introduction the reasons for the choice of the topic, structure and method of this study are presented. Part I offers a brief overview of the key soteriological images and a discussion on the relationship of Christology and soteriology. Part II explores the theology of salvation of the three aforementioned contemporary theologians based on David Tracy's distinction of different but mutually interrelated notions of truth in practical, fundamental and systematic theology. Part III offers a discussion of the main soteriological themes and problems that were discovered. In the Conclusion Tracy's multifaceted hermeneutical concept of truth is argued to allow soteriology to affirm plurality of theology and, at the same time, to avoid the danger of falling into relativism unconcerned with criteria of truthfulness. Church-policy and theological evolution of Palestinian Churches in Jerusalem and in the West Bank is the main topic of a thesis entitled "Palestinian Churches after 1967. Evolution in Church Politics and Theology." Gradual process of politization and nationalization of Palestinian Churches is taken as a chief development leading towards ecumenically shared position denouncing Israeli occupation as unethical, statement commonly expressed by church representatives starting with the first Intifáda. Within context of growing national awareness, local Palestinian theology has emerged in the eighties trying to reflect upon the ongoing political conflict and its impact on churches. Similarly, Palestinian hermeneutics deals with political misuse of Old Testament struggling to create a genuine Palestinian reading of the Bible. To understand the situation of Palestinian churches better, historical and regional context of Great Syria (Bilad ash-Sham) territory is described in two first chapters. The first examines the historical condition of mutual Muslim-Christian and inter-church relations. The second identifies the main socio-political, ecumenical and theological problems of Churches in neighbouring countries of Syria, Lebanon and Jordan. Práce pojednává o spiritualitě celibátu v Římskokatolické církvi se zaměřením na kněžské povolání. Po uvedení do základní problematiky pojmů spiritualita a celibát následuje přehled vývoje důrazů na význam celibátu v historii křesťanství. Pro prohloubení tématu celibátu je do práce zařazeno i krátké seznámení s křesťansky pojatou antropologií Jana Pavla II. (Teologie těla) a Oliviera Clémenta (tzv. Teopoetika těla). Jejich tématem je tělo a sexualita. Oba autoři se snaží o pozitivní přístup k významu těla v našich vztazích. Vybrala jsem aspekty vztahující se k celibátnímu životu a možné pozitivní integrace sexuality do celibátu. Další část je zaměřena na soudobou praxi ve formaci kněží a jak se v rámci ní pracuje s otázkou sexuality. Dále je zaměřena pozornost na krizové situace, které mohou způsobit ztroskotání v celibátním způsobu života. Nabízí se však možnosti, jak s takovou situací zacházet. Je kladen důraz na pozitivní přínosy kněžského celibátu pro celistvost člověka a jeho autentický duchovní život. V závěru práce hodnotím, co můžeme v rámci spirituality celibátu čerpat z historické zkušenosti a co se rozvíjí nově a aktuálně v souvislosti s potřebami současné generace kněží.
