More specifically, the main target of the study is the region that runs between the Guaxupé and Socorro nappes where Itapira Group rocks (Orosirian and Statherian) and their basement, the Pouso Alegre Complex (Rhyacian), occur. The study area is part of the interference zone between the Brasília and Ribeira belts. It is characterized by the interference from central Ribeira Belt structures into the southern Brasília Belt context. Through geological mapping on a 1:25 000 scale, two distinct lithological domains were recognized. The Inferior domain consists in a metavolcanossedimentary sequence equivalent to the Itapira Group, composed, from base to top of: Metabasic to intermediary rocks (Amphibolite, ultramafic and hornblend-biotite gneiss); Quartz-rich (Garnet) Biotite gneiss with intercalations of amphibolite, gondite and (sillimanite) biotite schist; Quartz-sericite schist/phyllite; (sillimanite) biotite gneiss/schist with intercalations of graphite gneiss and sparse amphibolite and feldspathic quartzite bodies. This sequence lies over ortho-derived rocks of the Pouso Alegre Complex, represented by the migmatitic biotite orthogneiss and porphyritic (hornblend) orthogneiss units. Itapira Group rocks are locally intruded by dikes of a hololeucocratic metagranite, correlatable to the Taguar metagranite (Statherian). The Superior Domain is represented by the Guaxupé (to north) and Socorro (to south) nappes. They are composed of rocks with igneous protoliths, corresponding mainly to (mega)porphyritic orthogneiss of the Pinhal-Ipuiuna and Serra da Água Limpa batoliths of Cryogenian age, with a hololeucocratic charnockitic gneiss on the base. These rocks register three different metamorphic events and at least three ductile deformation phases. The oldest metamorphic stage (M1 Rhyacian/Orosirian limit) is evidenced only on Itapira Group basement rocks, by partial fusion of Pouso Alegre Complex orthogneiss. The main metamorphic event (M2) of the area is preserved on all described units, and unfolded under medium to high amphibolite facies with intermediate pressure, in the sillimanite zone. The M2 event is contemporaneous to the main deformational phase (Dn), which produced isoclinal folds and oblique thrust-related shear zones with ENE vergence. This puts Guaxupé and Socorro nappes rocks over the Itapira Group and Pouso Alegre Complex, and is associated with the collisional stage of the southern portion of the Brasília Belt (Cryogenian/Ediacaran limit). The third metamorphic event is of local influence, and occurs in green schist to low amphibolite facies on the shear zones of the Ouro Fino shear belt. This belt consists in nine E-W to NE-SW oriented shear zones with mainly dextral throw and subordinate transtensive and transpressive domains which connect locally through smaller shear zones, producing a regional anastomosed pattern. Closed to tight folds with subparallel axis, stretching lineations and NW vergence develop associated to the previously described shear zones during deformational phase Dn+1.

With the use of tools like petrography, geochemistry, and more importantly geocronology U-Pb in zircon, two granulitic outcropping rocks, that until now were considered the same unit were able to be differentiated (named in this tesis as heterogeneous granulite and enderbitic granulite). It is still a part of the scope of this work a third unity, the Biotite Charnoenderbite, regarded in the literature as a part of the magmatic arc of the Araçuaí Belt. Although the data obtained by the geochemical analysis didn t offered good results for the individualization of each unity and thus differentiate them, the data from the field pointed towards a magmatic origin for the biotite charnoenderbite and the enderbitic unity. This is mainly due to its intrusive form of occurrence with the presence of xenoliths and the observation of igneous textures with oval and euhedral phenocrysts, respectively. The analysis of the zircon grain s population corroborate to the igneous origin of both unities, that together with the ages provided suggests that the edification of the magmatic arc around 586-583 Ma. Although the origin of the biotite charnoenderbite and enderbite are different, because in the second is possible to observe several inherited grains with the average age of 2.2 Ga..

The CSB is characterized by type I calc character of magmatism, generate in volcanic arc environment (Monte Verde Suite) and crustal reworking (Leucocratic ortogranulites). The Fine grained Greenish, is considered in this research as the embasement rock for the Oriental Terrain, crystallized during the Paleoproterozoic - Riacian (2184.3 ± 21 Ma) and recrystallized during in the metamorphic event in the Neoproterozoic - Edicarian (607.2 ± 1.5 Ma), whose TDM age is 2936 Ma. The Medium grained Leucocratic Ortogranulite was crystallized in the Neoproterozoic - Edicarian (between 592 and 609 Ma) and its TDM age is ca. 2100 Ma, which features heritage record in the Paleoproterozoic. The Monte Verde Suite is characterized by a magmatism calcialcalin and the Córrego Fortaleza Suite, magmatism calc-alkaline high K, both show magmatic arc signature. Records two magmatic pulses in a sample (JP-RM-08A) in the Neoproterozoic - Edicaran: the first one in 592 ± 2 Ma, and TDM age 1797 Ma, and the second one in 571.2 ± 1.8 Ma (injecting a charnockitoids). For all CSB rocks, protomylonítics, Mylonitic and locally ultramilonítics features were portrayed. Geochemical data show these SSJP granitoids are the calc-alkaline series of high-K, crystallyzed in Neoproterozoic (ranging from 610.3 ± 4.7 Ma to 592.2 ± 1.3 Ma). TDM ages show outliers in two samples: 1918 Ma and 2415 Ma, suggesting that have been generated from different sources. The Gray Foliated Granite belongs to the shoshonitic series, type I and metaluminous and are intraplate granites. However, could have been formed into arc cordilheirano, with crustal contamination of other sources. This fact would be confirmed by the TDM ages calculated ≈ 1429 - 1446 Ma. The Isotropic Leucogranite occurs in the form of dykes, NW direction, has massive texture and is inequigranular. Geochemical data show these granitoids are metaluminous the type I shoshonitic series. They are intraplate granites. The Isotropic Leucogranite represents the post-collisional magmatism which took place between 80 and 90 Ma years after the collisional event in central sector of Ribeira Belt.
