In the present study, a new series of 3,4- dihydropyrmidine2-(1 H) one derivatives(4a-f) which linked to 2-mercapto-3-phenyl-4(3H)-quinazolinone were synthesized by using the nucleophilic substitution reaction of 2-mercapto-3-phenyl-4(3H)-quinazolinone (1) and an appropriate 6-bromomethyl-3,4- dihydropyrmidine2-(1 H) one (3a-f) in the presence of KOH as a base and in CH3CN as solvent. The chemical structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by means of IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, Mass spectroscopy, and Elemental analysis. The cytotoxicity of the newly synthesized compounds was evaluated in vitro against the human breast cancer (MCF-7) cell line and human colon cancer cell line (HT-29) based on the results of the MTT assay. Our results indicated that compound 4b exerted the most cytotoxic effect in the two cell lines and the IC50 values were (4.25 ± 0.16 μM) for MCF-7 cell lines and (12.11 ± 0.76 μM) for HT-29 cell lines. Also, compound 4b induced apoptosis more than other compounds in the two cell lines. Therefore, compound 4b may be a potential anticancer agent. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Investment Portfolio Optimization (IPO) is one of the most important problems in the financial area. Also, one of the most important features of financial markets is their embedded uncertainty. Thus, it is essential to propose a novel IPO model that can be employed in the presence of uncertain data. Accordingly, the main goal of this paper is to propose a novel Fuzzy Multi-Period Multi-Objective Portfolio Optimization (FMPMOPO) model that is capable to be used under data ambiguity and practical constraints including budget constraint, cardinality constraint, and bound constraint. It should be noted that three objectives including terminal wealth, risk, and liquidity as well as practical constraints are considered in proposed FMPMOPO model. Also, the alpha-cut method is employed to deal with fuzzy data. Finally, the proposed Fuzzy Multi-Period Wealth-Risk-Liquidity (FMPWRL) model is implemented in real-world case study from Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). The experimental results show the applicability and efficacy of the proposed FMPWRL model for fuzzy multi-period multi-objective investment portfolio optimization problem under fuzzy environment. The target of this study was to model of spinach leaves drying using microwave and hot air dryer. This test performed in combination treatment of temperatures (50?C, 60?C, and 70?C) and microwave (90, 180, 360, 600 and 900w) in 3 replications. Sample moisture measured within drying. All the results were fitted and analyzed with 8 mathematical models base on 3 parameters including determination (R2), Chi square(X2), root mean square errors(RSME). Results also revealed that temperature and microwave power effectively reduce the drying time when increase. Drying occurs in degrading stage; moreover the comparison of results exhibited that Page and Two sentences models were fitted appropriately to estimate moisture changing and drying description. Regarding all the results, it is cleared that microwave method is an appropriate method in spinach drying as a result of reducing drying temperature and its high efficiency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
