This paper stands up for the defence of writing as a hugely valuable resource for teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language or a Second Language. Specifically, it pursues two general targets: a) to highlight the importance of considering writing into the classroom of Spanish as a Foreign Language as a process that has to be constantly coached and developed; b) to emphasise how this way of teaching provides pedagogical benefits that go further the development of the writing ability itself, since it has an impact on other students’ general cognitive features. Methodologically, this text begins with a literature review that theoretically underpins the proposed targets, and, subsequently, our didactic proposal is exemplified by the use of a specific type of text (the match report). Then, a practical teaching resource is obtained as final result, which is supported by the recent literature on this issue. Finally, this contribution aspires to be implemented in different educative contexts by teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language

Este trabajo presenta los resultados de un estudio sobre la influencia de la composicionalidad semántica en la interpretación de unidades fraseológicas (UF) en lengua extranjera (LE) y su similitud con los procesos de interpretación en lengua materna llevado a cabo por aprendices de italiano como LE de nivel universitario. Los datos obtenidos indican que la composicionalidad semántica es un factor favorecedor de la interpretación de UF en LE, aunque los aprendices tienden a preferir la ruta intercultural en la interpretación de UF transparentes, lo que les induce en un alto porcentaje de casos a cometer errores de interpretación. This paper presents the results of a study on the infl uence of semantic compositionality on the interpretation of phraseological units (PU) in undergraduate students of Italian as a foreign language, and its similarity to the processes of interpretation in their native language. The data obtained indicate that semantic compositionality is a factor that favours the interpretation of PU in the foreign language. However, the data also show that students tend to prefer the intercultural strategy for the interpretation of transparent PU, which leads to a high rate of interpretation errors. Este artigo apresenta os resultados de um estudo sobre a infl uência da composicionalidade semântica na interpretação de unidades fraseológicas (UF) em língua estrangeira (LE) e sua similaridade com os processos de interpretação na língua materna realizados por aprendizes italianos como LE de nível universitário. Os dados obtidos indicam que a composicionalidade semântica é um fator que favorece a interpretação da UF em OE, embora os aprendizes tendam a preferir a rota intercultural na interpretação da UF transparente, o que induz em uma alta porcentagem de casos a cometer erros de interpretação.

El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar la evolución histórica del sufijo valorativo italiano –Vcchiare. Tras el análisis de la naturaleza sufijal de –Vcchiare, en relación con otras posibles categorizaciones (infijo o interfijo), proponemos una hipótesis sobre su origen etimológico y realizamos un estudio de las bases léxicas a las que se aplica. La relación entre los diferentes tipos de bases y el significado léxico expresado por el sufijo, desde una perspectiva diacrónica, nos ofrece una panorámica de su productividad y su variación semántica, además de una descripción mucho más detallada de las funciones y valores de los diferentes alomorfos a lo largo de la historia del italiano. The aim of this work is to present the historical evolution of the evaluative Italian suffix –Vcchiare. After analyzing the suffixal nature of –Vcchiare, in relation to others possible considerations (infix or interfix), we propose a hypothesis on its etymological origin and study the lexical bases to which has been added. The relationship between the different types of bases and the lexical meanings expressed by the suffix, from a diachronic perspective, gives us an overview of its productivity and its semantic changes and a more detailed description of the functions and values of its different allomorphs through the time.
