Introduction Persistent pelvic pain (PPP) affects up to 25% of women (1) and 8% of men (2) and is a significant global health problem. PPP (also known as chronic pelvic [...], Objective. Persistent pelvic pain (PPP) is a complex condition often influenced by psychological factors that can alter treatment outcomes. These factors are potentially modifiable; however, currently there is no instrument to screen for them. The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) which psychological factors should be screened in individuals with PPP and (2) the most appropriate statements to represent these psychological factors. Methods. The study used a focus group design followed by an electronic-Delphi (e-Delphi) process. A focus group consisting of 8 experts was conducted to determine the relevant psychological factors to screen. These results informed round 1 of the e-Delphi process, consisting of a panel of 14 pain/pelvic pain experts. The e-Delphi process consisted of 3 rounds of online surveys and 2 teleconference discussions to establish consensus on the most appropriate statement to screen for each of the psychological factors. Results. The focus group identified 13 relevant psychological factors. During the e-Delphi process, relevant screening statements were assessed using a 100-point allocation system. Experts could reword and suggest new statements. Statements were assessed for consensus and stability and were eliminated as the rounds progressed if they met the exclusion criteria. At the termination of round 3, there were 15 statements remaining. Conclusion. The final list of 15 statements will assist clinicians in screening for psychological factors and is an important step for clinicians in providing psychologically informed care to people with PPP. Future research should determine the psychometric properties of the statements to determine their clinical utility as a questionnaire. Impact. This study has refined a list of statements to help screen for psychological factors in individuals with PPP Developed robustly using an e-Delphi method, this list is an important first step forward for clinicians to provide psychologically informed care to these individuals. North of Portugal ,Tourism management ,Outdoor tourism ,GIS ,Tourism planning - Abstract
Purpose: Outdoor tourism is a growing segment that still requires data for planning and management. Aimed to present the potential of the Geographic Information System (GIS) to improve outdoor tourism in the North of Portugal. To achieve this purpose, a case study was conducted on developing a Web-GIS in Northern Portugal. Methodology: Four steps were followed to develop the GIS tool with information about outdoor tourism in the North of Portugal. In the first step, municipalities in the North of Portugal sent information about outdoor activities. In the second step, the data were georeferenced and associated. In the last step, a Web-GIS was developed. Findings: The development of tools is an important source of support for tourism. This study identified that a tool such as the GIS could support a destination's decision-making and promotional processes, besides providing detailed information to the tourist and facilitating travel planning. Practical implications: GIS provides effective planning of outdoor tourism, once this tool allows an effective search of the tourist offer and, from the tourist's perspective, relevant suggestions of visits according to their location are presented, facilitating their experience in the region. Originality: Several studies relate to GIS and tourism, but there is still a gap in specific studies on outdoor activities. So, this study presents the importance of GIS to improve outdoor tourism in the North region of Portugal. Understanding this importance is essential in planning and managing tourism, helping further policymaking and marketing strategies. B913-0565-0908 | Elvira Vieira N/A

- Abstract

The use of mobile technologies by tourists is a subject of great relevance today. A recurring phenomenon is the use of mobile applications to search and/or book restaurants at the destination. In this way, the research problem is to understand the determining factors in the intention to use mobile applications to search for restaurants and/ or book tables in a travel context. Through literature review, TAM model was adapted, with the addition of the variables food involvement and perceived ubiquity, with the later measured through the dimensions of continuity, immediacy, portability, and searchability. For the operationalization of the research, online interviews were initially conducted, with results identifying the TripAdvisor as the most frequently mentioned application. After this, an online questionnaire was published, having the TripAdvisor application as the object, from which were obtained and analyzed quantitatively 167 valid answers. With the quantitative data analysis, it was possible to observe that utility and ease of use, as well as food involvement, are positively related to the intention to use the TripAdvisor to research restaurants and/or book tables in a travel context. Among the four dimensions of perceived ubiquity, only immediacy and searchability revealed a positive relationship with the intention to use the application. The contributions of the present research are centered on the adaptation of the TAM model with the investigation of the constructs of food involvement and perceived ubiquity, contributing to the deepening of the theme of the adoption of mobile technologies, with a focus on the tourism sector. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

Abstract - Nowadays there is a consensus that in order to maintain the biologic diversity, an integrated action in which the environment and organisms are protected is needed. The creation of marine protected areas seems to be an efficient alternative to preserve biological diversity and maitain and rehabilitate fish stocks. The efficiency of MPA’s is directly related to an adequate identification, from a physigraphic and ecological point of view of the area to be protected. This reserch had as its major goal the identification and understanding of the geological aspects that control the distribution of fish species inhabiting the continental sheld hard bottoms of the Dende coast. Traditional fishing areas of the Dende coast (State of Bahia) were used to identify the most important geological features to be considered in the identification of places for creation of MPA’s. The methodology used included: (i) GPS fixing of the most important fishing areas of the Dende coast, (ii) analysis of bathymetric profiles, (iii) collection of sediment and macrozoobenthos samples, (iv) analysis of fishlanding statistics. Main results show that: (i) the physiography of the outer shelf/upper slope is a determinant factor controlling the distribution of the fish species commertially exploited in the region, (ii) the surface sediment at traditional fishing areas are made up of sands and gravels of biogenic origin, (iii) the texture of surface sediments exerts an important control in the distribution of macrozoobentos, (iv) the dominance of coralline algae fragments in the surface sediments indicates that the micro-habitat created by these fragments positively influence the diversity of the macrozoobentos communities. The outer shelf/upper slope with their diverse topography, in association with biogenic gravels and sands were found to be the regions presenting the most favorable conditions for the demersal fish species that dominate the captures at the Dende coast, and therefore are the most adequate areas for creation of MPA’s.

- Abstract
The present paper aims to analyze the common aspects of two different faces of the year of 1968: the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship and the French May 1968. As similar points, we highlight the student movements at the Universities of Sorbonne/Nanterre, in Paris, and at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in Florianópolis. Another point we find important of both conjunctures is the role of the press. We intend to show how the press, either the French or the Brazilian one, has influence and capacity to manipulate social and political contexts. In order to allow this analysis, through comparative history, we delimited as our object of research the 1968's newspapers from Florianópolis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Despite having a delicate ecological balance, the sandy beaches have not been recognized as priority areas for conservation. For a large part of the population that frequents the coastal areas, the sandy beaches appear to be a biologically poor system and valued only for its landscape and recreation aspects. The intense recreational use of beaches and the disorderly occupation of the post-beach area increase the impacts on these environments, altering the deposition of sediments, hindering the displacement of biota and increasing erosive processes, compromising ecosystem functionality. Given this context, it is necessary to carry out studies of indicators that promote staggered coastal management, preserving the balance of ecosystems and maintaining their services, including those considered essential for a human species. Thus, the present work was divided into two stages. The first aimed to discuss how geoenvironmental processes, such as morphodynamic and climatic ones, act on the biodiversity of sandy beaches and how these phenomena can influence the ecosystem balance and the provision of its services. the state of the art of the aforementioned theme, which reinforced, as shown by the results, that the sandy beach, in addition to being a space for recreation and leisure, is also a delicate ecosystem and that its biodiversity is highly exposed, both to physical and climatic factors, regarding anthropogenic impacts. In the second stage, a survey was carried out with the objective of indicating ecological and use limits for the sandy beaches, using Imbassaí Beach as a model. Ten ecological indicators were analyzed, ranging from aesthetic and bathing conditions to the study of biodiversity and ecosystem services. Wave modeling and sediment transport were also evaluated. The results indicated that the sandy beach is affected by coastal dynamics and that its ecosystems have characteristics that favor the maintenance of important services such as support, regulation and production, which increase the quality of services provided to the human species itself, such as recreation and leisure. However, due to the perspective of increased use and occupation of the post-beach, as well as the panorama of future climate changes, especially the rise in sea level, it is necessary to formulate a coastal development model that integrates sandy beaches and that respects the load capacity and its resilience limits. Understanding that beaches are dynamic ecosystems, sensitive to human interference is essential, not only for the conservation of these environments, but also to ensure an orderly occupation of the coastal zone and the quality of services provided by sandy beaches to their users.

Objective Persistent pelvic pain (PPP) is a complex condition often influenced by psychological factors that can alter treatment outcomes. These factors are potentially modifiable; however, currently there is no instrument to screen for them. The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) which psychological factors should be screened in individuals with PPP, and (2) the most appropriate statements to represent these psychological factors. Methods The study used a focus group design followed by an electronic-Delphi (e-Delphi) process. Results The focus group identified 13 relevant psychological factors. Conclusion The final list of 15 statements will assist clinicians in screening for psychological factors and is an important step for clinicians in providing psychologically informed care to people with PPP. Future research should determine the psychometric properties of the statements to determine their clinical utility as a questionnaire. Impact This study has refined a list of statements to help screen for psychological factors in individuals with PPP. Developed robustly using an e-Delphi method, this list is an important first step forward for clinicians to provide psychologically informed care to these individuals.

ABSTRACT - The rapid loss of biodiversity and environmental quality in coastal and continental shelf are the result of rapid degradation by various uses of human activities and the concentration of world population in these areas. Thus, the ecological point of view, actions to knowledge, management of mineral and biological resources are important for the identification and establishment of the most sensitive areas, which provides a stage ecological for that, based on environmental aspects, efficient measures to management and conservation to be adopted. This work aims at the integrated study of geodiversity and benthic communities of the continental shelf of Una, southern Bahia, and the investigation of the possible influence of submarine canyons present in this excerpt. The methodology used in this study included: (i) location with GPS of sampling areas of the Cacau coast, (ii) analysis of 13 topographic profiles made with ecosounder, (iii) collection of 92 samples of water and surface sediment from bottom and (iv) collection of 92 samples of macrobenthos. The main results of this work show that: (i) the physiography of the continental shelf is characterized by a central region recessed, represented by Vale Inciso of Una, which follows in the direction from the slope to the Una submarine canyon, known locally as Rego of Una, (ii) the shelf waters are homogeneous in relation to environmental variables (temperature and salinity) with little variation in temperature throughout of the area, (iii) between textural components, gravel and sand predominated as the main textural types; and the highest levels of sludge are concentrated in the central region recessed, (iv) the texture of the surface sediment and negative relief features like canyons appear as the main factors influencing the benthic communities, (v) the predominance of biodebris sediment (as fragments of coralline algae and animals) in gravel indicate a greater availability of microhabitats that positively influencing the bigger diversity and abundance presented by macrobenthic communities on the outer shelf. The integrated knowledge and detailed through the use of thematic maps of substrates and resources of the continental shelf of Una underscore the importance of the region as a suitable place for the handling, management and establishment of areas with conservation purposes.
