Abstract

Análise do funcionamento diferencial do item (DIF) é de extrema importância quando se está desenvolvendo ou adaptando instrumentos psicológicos, já que possibilita verificar diferenças nos escores por conta de variáveis diversas àquela mensurada pelo instrumento. Neste estudo, verificamos a presença de DIF nos itens de uma nova medida de mindfulness (MAP), considerando o sexo, idade, experiência com meditação, e o uso de medicina alternativa da amostra. Participaram 788 adultos brasileiros, com média de idade de 26 anos (DP=9,59), sendo a maioria mulheres (79%) e solteiros (79%), os quais responderam a MAP. De forma geral, não foram encontrados DIF considerados moderados ou altos na subscala mindfulness. Os resultados indicam que os itens da MAP não favorecem, exclusivamente, nenhum dos grupos testados

Abstract

A partir de 1 de janeiro de 2018 todos os serviços e organismos da administração central, regional e local, que não tenham natureza, forma e designação de empresa pública bem como o subsetor da segurança social e as entidades públicas reclassificadas, tais como entidades do Serviço Nacional de Saúde, passam a aplicar o Sistema de Normalização Contabilística - Administração Pública (SNC-AP). Auscultaram-se os responsáveis pela contabilidade de 36 entidades do Serviço Nacional de Saúde sobre a mudança de referencial e as respetivas implicações. Em média, estes valorizam positivamente o SNC-AP, contudo atribuem maior importância ao Plano Oficial de Contabilidade - Ministério da Saúde. Estes profissionais reconhecem dificuldades técnicas na transição e impactos negativos nos ativos e passivos, mas positivos nos capitais próprios.

Abstract

Boron and Silicon site occupancies of the T2 phase in the Cr-Si-B system were investigated experimentally and by first-principles electronic-structure calculations within the scope of the Density Functional Theory (DFT). A sample with nominal composition Cr$_{0.625}$B$_{0.175}$Si$_{0.2}$ was arc-melted under argon, encapsulated in a quartz-tube and heat-treated at 1400{\deg}C for 96 hours. It was then analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Diffractometry (XRD) with synchrotron radiation. An excellent agreement was obtained between experiments and theoretical calculations, revealing that Si occupies preferably the $4a$ sublattice of the structure due to the presence of weak B bonds, making the site preferences a key factor for its stabilization. The results of this work provide important information to support a better description of this phase in alloys with Si and B, since T2 phases are known to occur in many important Transition Metal-Si-B ternary systems, such as Nb/Mo/W/Ta/V-Si-B.

Abstract

BTB/POZ domain-containing 3 (BTBD3) was identified as a potential risk gene in the first genome-wide association study of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). BTBD3 is a putative transcription factor implicated in dendritic pruning in developing primary sensory cortices. We assessed whether BTBD3 also regulates neural circuit formation within limbic cortico-striato-thalamo-cortical circuits and behaviors related to OCD in mice. Behavioral phenotypes associated with OCD that are measurable in animals include compulsive-like behaviors and reduced exploration. We tested Btbd3 wild-type, heterozygous, and knockout mice for compulsive-like behaviors including cage-mate barbering, excessive wheel-running, repetitive locomotor patterns, and reduced goal-directed behavior in the probabilistic learning task (PLT), and for exploratory behavior in the open field, digging, and marble-burying tests. Btbd3 heterozygous and knockout mice showed excessive barbering, wheel-running, impaired goal-directed behavior in the PLT, and reduced exploration. Further, chronic treatment with fluoxetine, but not desipramine, reduced barbering in Btbd3 wild-type and heterozygous, but not knockout mice. In contrast, Btbd3 expression did not alter anxiety-like, depression-like, or sensorimotor behaviors. We also quantified dendritic morphology within anterior cingulate cortex, mediodorsal thalamus, and hippocampus, regions of high Btbd3 expression. Surprisingly, Btbd3 knockout mice only showed modest increases in spine density in the anterior cingulate, while dendritic morphology was unaltered elsewhere. Finally, we virally knocked down Btbd3 expression in whole, or just dorsal, hippocampus during neonatal development and assessed behavior during adulthood. Whole, but not dorsal, hippocampal Btbd3 knockdown recapitulated Btbd3 knockout phenotypes. Our findings reveal that hippocampal Btbd3 expression selectively modulates compulsive-like and exploratory behavior.

Abstract

This article focuses on numerical thermos-structural behavior evaluation of composite steel and concrete beams under fire conditions. Several models of composite beams are analyzed, changing the following parameters: steel beam, span length, load level, slab thickness, concrete and steel strength. The numerical models, validated by experimental results of other authors, were developed using the finite element method on software ANSYS and the language APDL. It was observed that the structural load level is the main parameter that affects the structural behavior of composite steel and concrete beams under fire conditions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
