Мета роботи. Розробка методів ідентифікації багатокомпонентного рослинного збору в фільтр-пакетах за характерними макро- і мікроскопічними ознаками, вивчення хроматографічного профілю вихідної сировини і порівняння його з профілем потенційного збору на предмет виявлення характерних зон за допомогою методу ТШХ. Матеріали і методи. Вихідна сировина (череди трава, нагідок квітки, глоду листя і квітки) зібрана на території Харківської області та зареєстрована в ДП «Фармакопейний центр». Сировина була подрібнена до розміру частинок, що проходять крізь сито 3000. Виконання роботи включало три етапи: на 1-му етапі проводився макроскопічний аналіз суміші лікарської рослинної сировини, на 2-му етапі - мікроскопічний аналіз, а на третьому - проведення ТШХ аналізу вихідної сировини і передбачуваного збору з подальшим детектуванням характерних зон. Результати й обговорення. При проведенні макроскопічного та мікроскопічного аналізу збору виявлені всі характерні частини кожної із рослин, що входять до його складу. При проведенні ТШХ випробування на виявлення зон флавоноїдів і гідроксикоричних кислот на хроматограмі збору виявлені характерні зони, властиві череді траві, нагідок квіткам і глоду листю і квіткам, а також ідентифіковані зони календулозидів, діагностичні для нагідок квіток. Висновки. Розроблені методи ідентифікації багатокомпонентного рослинного лікарського засобу – збору череди трави, нагідок квіток, глоду листя та квіток в фільтр-пакетах за розділами, які є обов’язковими для рослинних лікарських засобів: ідентифікація А - макроскопія, ідентифікація В - мікроскопія, ідентифікація С - ТШХ і доведена можливість розпізнання всіх його рослинних компонентів при їх спільній присутності.

Within September–April 2016–2017 potato tubers affected by the potato rot nematode Ditylenchus destructor were selected in the potato storage facilities of the Institute of Potato Production of NAAS. 18 species of phytonematodes were identified, including an edificator species of microparasitocenosis and 17 satellite species of this pathogenic phytohelminth, mycohelminths (6 species) and saprobiotic nematodes (11 species). These phytonematodes are representatives of two orders, Rhabditida (11 species from 4 families) and Tylenchida (7 species from 4 families). Nematodes that are part of the group formed by D. destructor and its satellite species are divided into five groups according to quantitative indicators (the prevalence of invasion P and intensity of invasion I). The dominant is one species — D. destructor. Satellite species of D. destructor are divided into four groups, these are subdominants (4 species) and common species (3 species), which together with the dominant species form the core of the group, as well as rare (6) and accidental (4). It was shown that in the course of the disease a regular succession occurs, the species composition of phytonematodes, the grouping structure, the relationship between the number of species of various trophic groups, and the number of certain species change. There are five stages in the course of the disease, from D. destructor colonisation of the tuber, the penetration of the mycohelminths and saprobionts into the focus of the disease, and the disappearance of D. destructor. The maximum number of D. destructor occurs at stage III, mycohelminths — at stage IV, and saprobiotic nematodes — at stage V. Infracommunities consist of from two to seven species. The distribution of all the studied tubers by the number of species in the infracommunity is close to normal, most often 3–4 species of nematodes were found, several species of nematodes of the same genus are extremely rare in a particular infracommunity.

Мета роботи. Дослідження анатомічної будови та встановлення основних діагностичних ознак шліфованих та нешліфованих плодів моркви дикої та моркви посівної. Матеріали і методи. Досліджували 10 серій нешліфованих плодів моркви дикої та моркви посівної, а також 5 серій шліфованих плодів моркви посівної. Мікропрепарати готували відповідно до загальних правил. Результати й обговорення. Як основні анатомічні діагностичні ознаки нешліфованих плодів моркви дикої та моркви посівної обрано наявність чотирьох виступаючих ребер на опуклому та двох на внутрішньому боці мерикарпію, простих одноклітинних волосків із бородавчастою поверхнею. На мікропрепаратах шліфованих плодів моркви посівної виявлено фрагменти цих структур, що може бути пов’язано з особливостями їх заготівлі. Спільними діагностичними ознаками для усіх зразків було наявність чотирьох округло-трикутних канальців в головних ребрах і двох овальних на увігнутій стороні мерикарпію, наявність в ендоспермі клітин з алейроновими зернами, друзами та поодинокими кристалами кальцію оксалату. Висновки. Результати дослідження анатомічної будови плодів моркви дикої та моркви посівної використані при розробці проекту розділу «Ідентифікація В» національної частини монографії «Моркви дикої плодиN».

Objectives Dementia is a rapidly growing public health problem in low and middle income countries. There is an urgent need, in the absence of formal services, to develop interventions designed to improve the lives of people with dementia, and their families. This study tests the effectiveness of the 10/66 caregiver intervention among people with dementia, and their carers. Design A single blind parallel group randomized controlled trial (ISRCTN41039907). Setting Moscow. Participants Sixty family caregivers of people aged 65 and over with dementia were randomized to receive the intervention and medical care as usual (n = 30) or medical care as usual only (n = 30). Caregiver and person with dementia outcomes were assessed at baseline and after 6 months. Intervention The caregiver education and training intervention was delivered over five, weekly, half-hour sessions and was made up of three modules: (i) assessment (one session); (ii) basic education about dementia (two sessions); and (iii) training regarding specific problem behaviors (two sessions). Measurements Dementia was diagnosed using DSM-IV criteria. Caregiver: Zarit Carer Burden Interview; carer psychological distress (SRQ 20); and carer Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF). Person with dementia: Behavioural and Psychological symptoms (NPI-Q); quality of life (DEMQOL). Results Caregivers in the intervention group reported large and statistically significant net improvements at 6-month follow-up in burden compared to controls. No group differences were found on caregiver psychological distress and patient and caregiver quality of life. Conclusions The low-level intervention seems to be as, if not more, effective than similar interventions applied in high income countries. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

We compared nucleotide sequences of exon 4 and part of exon 5 of alleles F and S of the Adh1 locus controlling alcohol dehydrogenase in sugar beet. The Adh1-F and Adh1-S sequences of the examined fragment were shown to differ by two nucleotides. Adenine (A) and cytosine (C) of Adh1-F were substituted by respectively thymine (T) and adenine (A) in Adh1-S. Consequently, glutamine and asparagine from the F subunit of ADH1 are replaced by valine and lysine, respectively. Because of differences in the amino acid content, the F subunit is by two elementary charges more negatively charged electrically than the S subunit, which correlates with differences in their electrophoretic mobility. Comparison of the examined Adh1 fragment of sugar beet with its counterparts in other plants showed that the sites bearing substitutions in the former species are classed as variable.

The interest in tissue- and cell-specific S100 proteins physiological roles in the brain remains high. However, necessary experimental data for the assessment of their dynamics in one of the most important brain activities, its plasticity, is not sufficient. We studied the expression of S100B, S100A1, and S100A6 mRNA in the subfield CA1 of rat hippocampal slices after tetanic and low-frequency stimulation by real-time PCR. Within 30 min after tetanization, a 2–4 fold increase of the S100B mRNA level was observed as compared to the control (intact slices) or to low-frequency stimulation. Subsequently, the S100B mRNA content gradually returned to baseline. The amount of S100A1 mRNA gradually increased during first hour and maintained at the achieved level in the course of second hour after tetanization. The level of S100A6 mRNA did not change following tetanization or low-frequency stimulation.

The expression of egr-1, junB, c-jun, and c-fos genes in rat hippocampal CA1 fi eld was studied by the real-time PCR 30, 60, and 120 min after induction of long-term posttetanic potentiation. The content of egr-1, junB, and c-jun mRNA gradually increased and doubled 120 min after tetanization. The increase in c-jun mRNA level lagged behind the increment of egr-1 and junB. The level of c-fos mRNA increased 30 min after tetanization, returned to the initial level by min 60, and again increased 120 min after induction of long-term posttetanic potentiation.

Neuronal plasticity--a fundamental feature of brain--provides adequate interactions with dynamic environment. One of the most deeply investigated forms of the neuronal plasticity is a long-term potentiation (LTP)--a phenomenon underlying learning and memory. Signal paths activated during LTP converge into the nuclear of the neuron, giving rise to launch of the molecular-genetic programs, which mediate structural and functional remodeling of synapses. In the review data concerning involvement of multilevel gene expression into plastic change under neuronal activation are summarized.
