Renal tumors account for 2 to 3 % of all malignant tumors in adults. Of all patients with renal cell carcinoma, 30 to 40 % have advanced forms of the disease. In the literature, the term "giant renal tumor" is used for tumors larger than 20 cm. In this article, we report a case of surgical treatment for a giant malignant kidney tumor.Patient N., female, 54 years old, referred to an outpatient clinic with complaints of a change in the shape of the abdomen on the left with a palpable large tumor, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, weakness, constipation, episodes of blood in the urine and increased blood pressure. Body mass index 30.2 kg/m2. Ultrasound examination revealed a large tumor in the left retroperitoneal space. Laboratory testing of blood, urine was performed, findings were unremarkable. According to the data of magnetic resonance imaging, the left kidney was transformed into a large cystic solid formation, measuring 30.5 х 17.5 х 17.0 cm, heterogeneously accumulating a contrast agent with a solid component. Patient was admitted to the urology department for surgical treatment. We performed radical nephrectomy on the left with thoracolumbar laparotomy access on the left with resection of the 10th rib, resecting the renal tumor with the adrenal gland, total weight of the complex was 10.7 kg. The histological structure was determined as poorly differentiated renal carcinoma with invasion of the perinephric tissue. In the adrenal gland, fields of fresh erythrocytes with an admixture of tumor tissue were noted. Examined lymph node tissue was completely replaced by tumor cells. Postoperative period was characterized by episodes of dynamic intestinal obstruction. The patient was discharged from the department in a satisfactory condition on the 13th day after the operation, but died 1.5 months after discharge, the cause of death has not been established, as no autopsy was performed. Thus, the size of the tumor is not a contraindication to surgical treatment, which improves the survival rate of patients with malignant renal tumors.

We studied the differences in the characteristics of T-cell immunity in clinically healthy volunteers of three groups: "no previous COVID-19, not vaccinated", "recovered", and "vaccinated" as well as the relationship between the presence of IFNγ-releasing T cells in response to stimulation with peptide pools overlapping the main S, N, M, ORF3, and ORF7 protein sequences and the presence of IgG to the SARS-CoV-2 S protein. In the "no previous COVID-19, non-vaccinated" group, T cells specific to both S protein and other virus proteins were absent in 95% subjects. In the "recovered from COVID-19" group, T cells specific to the spike protein were present in samples from 39% subjects. In the same group, T-cell immunity to other viral proteins was present in 58% subjects. In vaccinated subjects, specific T cells responding to stimulation with S protein peptides were found in 47% cases and Т cells specific to N, M, ORF3, ORF7 proteins were detected in only 22% subjects.

The problem of antimicrobial resistance is one of the key challenges in the modern world. A global analysis of the resistance development to antibacterial drugs has shown that solving this problem requires designing of complex interdisciplinary approaches. Searching for tools that would prevent and suppress the development of antimicrobial resistance is an actual scientific task that has a clear practical orientation. Aim. To analyze modern approaches, to avoid the development of antibacterial drugs resistance and to determine the role of physicochemical research IN VITRO and IN VIVO (bioequivalence studies) in solving this problem. Results. While carrying out the research, we made a systematic analysis of modern international concepts, regulatory guidelines, recommendations and programs for a comprehensive solution to the global problem of antibiotic resistance. During this work, we identified the key areas directly related to the issues of proper pharmaceutical development and research of antibacterial drugs, as well as the introduction of new scientific approaches and procedures for preventing the resistance of these drugs. It has been found that physicochemical methods of analysis can be used for scientifically substantiated creation of regimens of sustainable antibiotic therapy, as well as biopharmaceutical modeling of interaction with other objects (drugs, mineral waters, drinks, etc.). Such tests are an additional tool for excluding the risk of mismatch evaluation when conducting an assessment of generic drugs both in the biowaiver procedure and in the study of bioequivalence. Conclusions. The analysis of modern approaches to prevent the development of antibacterial drugs resistance has shown that it is necessary to use comprehensive application of scientific methods when making a research of this problem. The developed classification of approaches to eliminate antimicrobial resistance highlights the methods of physicochemical and bioanalytical research as a promising tool to reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.

The need for careful therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) arises for measurement of drugs with a narrow therapeutic index (NTIDs), as well as for assuring their safe and controlled replacement with generics. In particular, this category includes anti-epileptic drugs, which use is associated with the range of issues during the management of therapy effectiveness and safety. One of these examples is valproic acid, which therapeutic concentrations vary greatly depending on the individual patient. The need to substantiate the choice and control of individual optimal dosing regimen of drugs, as well as to provide the rational use of generic NTIDs, determines the relevance of the introduction of TLM in the routine practice of standardized medical care for certain categories of patients, and it requires appropriate scientific and practical justification.Aim. To provide the scientific and practical substantiation of the procedure of TDM by validation of the laboratory method for determining the concentration of valproic acid in the blood plasma.Materials and methods. Analytical, statistical and biological methods were used in the study. Measurement of valproic acid concentration in a standardized sample of the blood plasma was performed by the photometric method using reagents produced by SIEMENS, Inc., USA and the control serum “Chemical control, level1” produced by Bio-Rad, Inc., USA. Measurements were made by a Siemens Bio Dimension RxL Max automatic biochemical analyzer.Results. The limits of intra-laboratory reproducibility by the factor of the laboratory assistant have been estimated as R = 3.25. The assessment of the repeatability and reproducibility of the method by the time factor and in different concentration ranges has shown the absence of gross errors and statistically significant differences in the measurements. It has been found that in the range of 73.8 ± 110 µg/ml valproic acid concentration values determined by this method using the Siemens Dimension RxL Max device can be considered accurate and reliable. The linearity of this method within the range of the concentrations measured has been also proven; it confirms the possibility of its use for measuring the concentration of valproic acid in the blood plasma.Conclusions. The scientific and practical substantiation obtained is necessary for the proper implementation of TDM in the process of providing medical care to particular categories of patients to optimize the individual dosing regimen of NTIDs. In addition, validation of the TDM method allows using it for assuring the safe and controlled generic replacement of NTIDs. The results of the work can be used in the process of further improvement and development of new analytical methods for TDM of valproic acid, as well as other NTIDs.

Background. The adrenal glands are one of the most common sites of metastases in malignant disease, particularly lung cancer. The frequency of adrenal metastasis in patients with breast cancer and lung cancer reaches 39 and 35 % respectively.Materials and methods. A total of 156 patients with adrenal tumors underwent surgical treatment in the Siberian State Medical University between December 1998 and July 2017. The study included 16 (10.2 %) patients (9 males and 7 females) with adrenal metastases. The mean age of study participants was 57.6 years (range: 44–73 years).Results. By the moment of surgery, the mean metastatic adrenal tumor size was 4.9 ± 3.0 cm (range: 1.0–10.2 cm). Thirteen out of 16 patients had adrenal metastases from renal cell carcinoma, one patient – from colon cancer, one patient – from lung cancer, and one patient – from breast cancer. Nine patients had left-sided adrenal metastases, whereas six patients had right-sided adrenal metastases. Synchronous adrenal metastasis was detected in two cases: one patient had adrenal metastasis at the side of the renal tumor; the other one had bilateral renal cell carcinoma with both adrenal glands affected.We identified three main variants of the disease course according to prevailing clinical manifestations of adrenal metastasis: no manifestations, pain syndrome, and arterial hypertension.Seven participants had no clinical manifestations; of them, 6 patients had renal cell carcinoma, whereas 1 patient had breast cancer. The mean time between surgical removal of the primary tumor and detection of adrenal metastases was 24.1 months; the mean tumor size was 4.5 cm.Pain syndrome was observed in 5 patients. In three of them, adrenal metastases derived from renal cell carcinoma, in one patient – from lung cancer, and in one patient – from colon cancer. The mean time between removal of the primary tumor and detection of adrenal metastases was 19.8 months; the mean tumor size was 5.4 cm.Arterial hypertension was diagnosed in four patients. The mean time between removal of the primary tumor and identification of adrenal metastases was 27.3 months; the mean tumor size was 4.1 cm. The five-year overall survival rate in operated patient was 47.8 %.Conclusion. Regular examinations of patients after surgical treatment of malignant tumors are needed to detect adrenal metastases; surgery can extend the patient’s life. can extend the patient’s life.

The ever increasing incidence of thyroid cancer throughout the world poses the problem of differential diagnosis of thyroid nodules at various stages of their formation. Objective: to determine the most important clinical, laboratory and instrumental parameters of thyroid nodules for the assessment of their malignancy potential and to identify "defects" of clinical and instrumental examination of patients with nodular goiter in clinical practice. Materials and methods: we analyzed the data of general clinical research, hormonal profile, and thyroid ultrasound studies performed on the basis of various clinics in the city of Tomsk (41%), Endocrinology Department of the OGAUZ TOKB consultative and diagnostic polyclinic (28 %), and Cancer Research Institute (31%) for the period from 2012 to 2014. The patients were selected for surgery. Pre-operative data were compared with histological features of the nodules. Results: we analyzed «defects» of patient examination, statistical data on clinical and laboratory-instrumental parameters of thyroid nodules. Conclusion: «defects» of description of ultrasound data significantly reduce sensitivity of the method for predicting malignancy of thyroid nodules. The description of the material obtained by US-FNA alone, in the absence of the conclusion of medical cytologists, has no informative value. Low specificity of a cytological study (48.4%) and its high sensitivity (95.8%) suggests overdiagnosis of thyroid cancer.

Nephroprotective drug development for optimizing treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is an important task of pharmaceutical science. Our study evaluated nephroprotective properties of the two glucosamine derivatives N-acetylglucosamine and glucosamine hydrochloride in a 3-week-long parenteral and oral daily administration at doses of 50 mg/kg in rats with doxorubicin nephropathy. Nephroprotective activity (NA) was evaluated by determining the functional state of the kidneys, the level of azotemia and the activity of free-radical processes in the renal tissue. The results show a significant increase in renal excretory function, normalization of nitrogen metabolism and a decline of free-radical processes under the influence of both studied amino sugars in rats with doxorubicin nephropathy. I. m. route of administration yielded the highest efficacy for both amino sugars with the highest level of NA (83.3%) shown by N-acetylglucosamine. Thus N-acetylglucosamine in i. m. injections has the highest NA among the glucosamine derivatives, and is a promising agent for CKD treatment.

Actuality. The differential diagnosis of follicular adenoma, follicular variant of papillary thyroid cancer and follicular thyroid cancer (TC) is one of the main topics of research. For this purpose several molecular markers were approbated, however their diagnostic effectiveness differs. Aim. Quantification of candidate mRNA markers for differentiated thyroid cancer (galectin-3, Ki-67, ubiquitin, HMGA2) using polymerase chain reaction in real time (RT-PCR) of thyroid nodules pre-operative material. To evaluate the efficiency of this method for thyroid malignancy diagnostics. Materials and methods. The study included 55 patients with a clinical diagnosis of nodular / multinodular goiter. A quantitative analysis of mRNA of galectin-3, Ki-67, ubiquitin, HMGA2 was performed on material puncture by reverse transcription and RT-PCR. The Second Derivative Maximum Method was used to analyze the results. Results. The study included 46 women (83.6%) and 8 men (14.5%). The average age of the patients was 52.1 (from 23 to 82) years old. According to the results of histological examination, there were 35 (63.6%) benign tumors, 20 (36.4%) – cancer tumors (papillary carcinoma). There were no cases of follicular cancer in the histological findings. We found significant differences in the expression of mRNA of the ubiquitin gene between malignant and benign thyroid nodules. Conclusion. The method of ubiquitin gene 8.24 mRNA estimation has a sensitivity of 68.4% and a specificity of 68.6% in the well-differentiated cancer diagnostics. The estimation of mRNA of gene Ki-67, galectin-3, HMGA by RT-PCR did not show itself as a reliable method for the differential diagnosis of thyroid nodules in the preoperative stage.

Background. Adrenal tumors occur in 3–10 % of the population and are mostly benign adrenal cortical tumors. Adrenocortical carcinoma is a very rare tumor and has an annual incidence of 1–2 cases per million people. The U.S. National Cancer Data Base registered 4275 patients with adrenocortical carcinoma in 1985 to 2007. It is extremely difficult to assess Russia’s epidemiological data, as reports on adrenocortical carcinoma are not presented separately. Materials and methods. A total of 133 patients (49 men and 84 women (1:1.7)) with adrenal tumors were operated on at the clinics of the Siberian State Medical University in the period December 1998 to March 2015. The patients’ mean age was 51.3 (16–80) years (median age 51.0 years). The right and left adrenal glands were affected in 49 (36.9 %) and 77 (57.9 %) patients, respectively; both adrenal glands were involved in 7 (5.3 %). A group of 21 (15.8 %) people with primary malignant adrenal tumors was identified among all the patients. The clinical manifestations of the disease were evaluated from the presence of hormonal activity, gastrointestinal symptoms, pain syndrome, and hypertension. All the patients were operated on under endotracheal anesthesia. The data were statistically processed using the program package Statistica 6.0. Survival rates were analyzed by the Kaplan–Meier method. The Gehan–Wilcoxon test was used to compare the groups. Results. The investigation analyzed treatment results in 21 (15.8 %) patients with primary malignant adrenal lesions (Group 1). The most common morphological form was adrenocortical carcinoma in 15 (11.3 %) patients (5 men and 10 women (1:2)); their mean age was 48.1 years. The right, left, and both adrenal glands were affected in 4, 9, and 2 cases, respectively. In Group 2, other malignant adrenal involvements were identified from 1 case of rare malignant adrenal tumors: malignant pheochromocytoma, sarcoma, melanoma, squamous cell carcinoma, Castleman’s disease, and oncocytic carcinoma. According to the tumor stage, the patients with adrenocortical carcinoma were divided as follows: Stage T1 (n = 3), Stage T2 (n = 3), Stage T3 (n = 4), and Stage T4 (n = 5). In the patients with adrenocortical carcinoma, the size of an adrenal tumor was 8.7 ± 4.9 cm; hypertension as a main clinical manifestation occurred in 5 patients; pain syndrome was observed in 10; hormonal activity was noted in 8, blood electrolyte disorders were seen in 3, and gastrointestinal manifestations were in 9 patients. In Group 1, 8 (38.1 %) patients were survivors and 13 (61.9 %) patients died. Moreover, the overall 5-year survival was 37.9 %. Five-year survival in patients with adrenocortical carcinoma was 42.4 % (6 (53.3 %) survivors and 9 (46.7 %)) dead persons); that in patients with other malignant adrenal tumors was 33.3 % (2 (33.3 %) survivors and 4 (66.7 %) dead persons). Conclusion . Surgical removal of an adrenocortical tumor is the only treatment option that can cure a patient or considerably prolong life particularly if the disease is detected at stage I or II.

We compared the results of gene molecular and immunocytochemical studies of β-catenin and E-cadherin in different variants of nodular thyroid disease (nodular colloid goiter, follicular thyroid adenocarcinoma, papillary thyroid cancer) and revealed changes of the function of the E-cadherin/β-catenin complex leading to switching from adhesion function of β-catenin in nodular colloid goiter to predominantly transcriptional activity in papillary carcinoma. The results confirm the important role of disturbances in E-cadherin-β-catenin interactions in the mechanisms of malignant transformation of follicular epithelium.

Aim . To establish the diagnostic value of liquid and traditional cytological diagnosis with immunocytochemical (ICC) detection proteins (galectin-3, nucleophosmin, Ki-67) in the preoperative diagnosis of well-differentiated thyroid cancer and analysis of the effect of the autoimmune process in the thyroid gland in the diagnostic accuracy. Materials and methods . The traditional liquid-based cytology was performed on 107 samples and immunocytochemistry performed on 56 samples with histological findings: colloid goiter in 24 cases, 4 cases of Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, 4 cases of follicular adenoma, 22 cases of papillary cancer. Results . The results of a comparison of cytological and histological findings. The results of studies of diagnostic accuracy expression of galectin-3, nucleophosmin, Ki-67 for the diagnosis of thyroid cancer. A formula was developed to help determine the presence of malignancy in thyroid with high accuracy. Conclusion . The diagnostic accuracy of the method of liquid-based cytology is higher than the traditional method of cytology. ICC expression of Ki-67 method has 81.8% of sensitivity and 100% of specificity for the preoperative diagnosis of thyroid cancer. Conjoint definition HS Ki-67 and liquid-based cytology increases the sensitivity and specificity of the diagnosis of well-differentiated thyroid cancer preoperative to 100%. There no detected relations between the expression of galectin-3, NFM, Ki-67 and the presence an autoimmune process in the thyroid.

Нестероїдні протизапальні препарати (НПЗП) є однією з найбільш широко застосовуваних груп лікарських засобів. Незважаючи на незаперечну клінічну ефективність, їх застосування пов'язане з ризиком розвитку ряду побічних ефектів, внаслідок чого актуальним напрямком наукового дослідження є пошук комбінацій НПЗП з іншими лікарськими речовинами з метою виявити такі поєднання, які дозволять знизити дозування НПЗП без втрати ефективності у впливі на запальний процес . У світлі вищесказаного, інтерес представляє новий комбінований препарат «Діклокор», що розробляється ПАТ НВЦ "Борщагівський ХФЗ" (Україна). У статті представлені результати експериментального дослідження протизапального ефекту комбінованого препарату «Діклокор» у порівнянні з його активними монокомпонентами – диклофенком натрію та кверцетином. Альтеративна фаза запалення вивчалася на моделі скарифікованих ран, ексудативна – на моделі карагенінового набряку, а проліферативна – на моделі «ватної» гранульоми; всі дослідження проводилися на щурах. За результатами експерименту Диклокор проявив перевагу у впливі на всі три стадії запалення в порівнянні з референс-препаратами у відповідних дозах. Найбільш виражену дію Діклокор справив на фази альтерації і ексудації, тому він може бути охарактеризований як перспективний препарат для лікування деструктивних і проліферативних запальних захворювань., Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are among the most widely used groups of medicines. Despite the undeniable clinical effectiveness, their use is associated with the risk of side effects. This fact directs scientific research to searching combinations of NSAIDs with other substances in order to identify compositions which will allow reducing the dose of the NSAID without losing its anti-inflammatory effectiveness. In view of all this, a new combined drug “Diclocor” developed by “Borshchahivskiy CPP” (Ukraine) is of interest. The article presents the results of the experimental study of the anti-inflammatory effect of the combined drug “Diclocor” in comparison with its active monocomponents – diclofenac sodium and quercetin. The alterative stage of inflammation was studied on the model of scarified wounds, the exudative stage – on the model of carrageenin edema, and the proliferative stage – on the model of cotton pellet-induced granuloma. All studies were conducted in rats. The experimental results have shown the superiority of Diclocor in influencing on all three stages of inflammation compared to the reference drugs in the appropriate doses. Diclocor has exhibited the most pronounced effect on the stages of alteration and exudation, and can be described as a promising drug for the treatment of proliferative and destructive inflammatory diseases., Нестероидные противовоспалительные препараты (НПВП) являются одной из самых широко применяемых групп лекарственных средств. Несмотря на неоспоримую клиническую эффективность, их применение сопряжено с риском развития ряда побочных эффектов, вследствие чего актуальным направлением научного исследования является поиск комбинаций НПВП с другими лекарственными веществами с целью выявления таких сочетаний, которые позволят снизить дозировку НПВП без потери эффективности влияния на воспалительный процесс. В свете вышесказанного интерес представляет новый комбинированный препарат «Диклокор», разрабатываемый ПАО НПЦ «Борщаговский ХФЗ» (Украина). В статье представлены результаты экспериментального исследования противовоспалительного эффекта комбинированного препарата «Диклокор» в сравнении с его активными монокомпонентами – диклофенком натрия и кверцетином. Альтеративная фаза воспаления изучалась на модели скарифицированных ран, экссудативная – на модели карагенинового отека, а пролиферативная – на модели «ватной» гранулемы; все исследования проводились на крысах. По результатам эксперимента Диклокор проявил превосходство влияния на все три стадии воспаления в сравнении с референс-препаратами в соответствующих дозах. Наиболее выраженное действие Диклокор оказал на фазы альтерации и экссудации, поэтому он может быть охарактеризован как перспективный препарат для лечения деструктивных и пролиферативных воспалительных заболеваний.

Background. Since NSAIDS have some detrimental side effects, studying new combinations of NDAIDS with other substances could provide a reduction of the dosage of the NSAID while retaining therapeutic effectiveness. Objective. To study the effect of Diclocor on the cartilage morphology in the course of collagen-induced arthritis in rats in comparison with sodium diclofenac and quercetin. Methods. Autoimmune arthritis was reproduced by subcutaneous injections of type II collagen ("Sigma-Aldrich", USA). Morphological studies were performed using standard light microscopy techniques. Results. After treatment with both Diclocor and diclofenac sodium no cartilage destruction was oberved and tissue hyperplasia was low. Some residual effects were observed in the synovial membranes in the Diclocor group, and in periarticular tissues – in the diclofenac sodium group. Under the action of quercetin, there was a sufficiently high level of hyperplastic processes and pannus formation in sinovium. Conclusion. Diclocor and diclofenac sodium express a profound normalizing effect, while Quercetin is less active. Citation: Popov OS, Zupanets IA, Shebeko SK. Quercetin is a polyphenol substance abundant in plants and used for medical and nonmedical purposes from ancient times. Nowadays medical usage of quercetin is justified by its antioxidant, antiinflammatory, antiplatelet, antiapoptotic, nepho-, gastro-, angio-, cardio- and chondroprotective properties.This chapter provides brief characteristics of these qualities of quercetin, based on the data of scientific literature, and then continues with a concise summary of preclinical and clinical trials, performed by the authors, of the quercetin/diclofenac and quercetin/glucosamine combinations. The study of these pharmaceutical compositions showed that combining quercetin with the mentioned substances not only allows enhancing pharmacokinetic properties of quercetin but also boosts particular effects of its multidirectional pharmacodynamics and, as a result, broadens the possibilities for medical application of this substance in treatment of heart, kidney, and joint diseases. The obtained data determine expediency of implementation of the new, highly effective combinations of quercetin into medical practice.

This investigation was conducted in women with small pelvic involvements. Thirty-five case reports were analyzed; treatment results were known in 33 (94.3 %) patients. The patients» age was 55.9 (34-82) years. According to the source of the pathological process, there were 3 patient groups: gynecological, urological, and colorectal. The basic surgical procedure was anterior or total pelvic exenteration. The specific features of all cases were locally advanced tumors, recurrences, and complications due to performed treatment (radiotherapy) for cancer of the cervix uteri. Surgical treatment was feasible in all cases; in this case bleeding was arrested, pain syndrome was relieved, and urination and defecation control was restored.

Synchronous bilateral renal cell carcinoma occurs in 1.4 % of cases. The probability of bilateral adrenal metastases from renal cell carcinoma is less than 0.5 %. The clinical observation presents a case of synchronous bilateral renal cell carcinoma and simultaneous metastatic involvement of both adrenal glands. A 55‑year-old male patient was adm tted with the signs of hematuria and anemia to the Unit of Urology, Clinic of General Surgery, Siberian State Medical University. He was found to have synchronous bilateral renal cell carcinoma and simultaneous bilateral adrenal involvement. Sequential surgical treatment – radical nephrectomy (with adrenal gland removal) on the right side and, after 3 months, adrenalectomy and kidney resection on the left side were performed. All the organs removed displayed tumors that proved to be renal cell carcinomas (a clear cell variant). There were lymph node metastases in the right-sided renal portal. Postoperatively, the investigators performed hormone replacement therapy for adrenal insufficiency, an immunotherapy cycle, three cycles of targeted therapy withsorafenib and sunitinib (at an interval of 0.5–2 years), and insulin therapy for new-onset diabetes mellitus. The duration of a follow-up was 6.2 years. When describing the case, the patient was alive and showed a generalized tumorous process with extensive tumor involvement of the solitary kidney. Sunitinib therapy was used.

During the hydrological survey from November 4 to 9, 2009, the underway measurements of pH, temperature, and salinity of the surface water in the Peter the Great Bay were carried out using the cell without the liquid junction in the running system. Using the measurement data, the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) was computed which was below its atmospheric value and varied from 290 to 360μatm. Thus, during the period under study, the surface water of the bay forms the runoff for the atmospheric carbon dioxide. The minimum values of pCO2 are associated with the warm stream entering the bay from the southwestern part of the open sea. The maximum values of pCO2 are associated with the local upwelling of bottom waters. On a thyroid disease conservative correction background, preoperative period is accompanied by the upcoming surgery risk and its optimal level assessment, as well as assessment of specific complications development possibilities. Typically, the thyreopathies pathogenesis is accompanied by the thyroid gland functional activity disorder, which provides variety and, in some cases, the clinical picture similarity. Also, due to metabolic processes endocrine regulation fail in the whole organism, it causes disorders development in various organs and systems. Each thyreopathy is characterized by the relevant homeostasis indicators and clinical finding, in the development of which, the role of thyroid gland hormone production variant (hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, euthyroidism) and the deviation intensity level are not significant only as a pathological process marker, but also determine the compensation of an adaptive disorder tactics in pre- and postoperative period.

The 105 patients were undergone the medical observation after operations of various volume on thyroid gland. The patients were divided into 3 groups — patients without additional changes (n = 74), with nodes in residual tissue (n = 20), patients with glandular tissue after thyreoidectomy (n = 11). The amount of relapses was increasing with prolongation of postoperative period. For specification of relapsing nodules and thyroid residue spreading after thyreoidectomy the complex radiological examination is proposed.

The aim of the present study was to investigate anti-inflammatory activity of Diclocor in the setting of collagen-induced osteoarthritis in rats in comparison with its active monocomponents—diclofenac sodium and quercetin. The study was conducted on the model of collagen-induced osteoarthritis and included measurement of sialic acids, glycoproteins, C-reactive protein, prostaglandin E2, 6-keto-prostaglandin F1α, thromboxane B2, and leukotriene B4. Lastly, morphologic study with morphometry was also performed. Diclocor is superior to quercetin and diclofenac sodium by the degree of pharmacological effect on some of the studied parameters. The differences between the values were statistically significant. Diclocor is a promising corrector of inflammatory and destructive joint diseases. Owing to the presence of both diclofenac sodium and quercetin in its composition, Diclocor exhibits a complex mechanism of anti-inflammatory action affecting cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase ways of arachidonic acid biotransformation.

The efficiency of thyroid tissue autotransplantation was studied in 150 male Wistar rats for 3 months. Comparative analysis of functional competence of the thyroid tissue transplanted into the great omentum showed restoration of the thyroid hormonal activity in animals receiving cell suspension of autologous adherent bone marrow cells.

The efficiency of autotransplantation of the thyroid tissue into the greater omentum was demonstrated in experiments on rats. High viability of the transplant and restoration of the hormonal thyroid activity were attained after a single injection of the cell suspension of autologous adherent bone marrow cells directly into the transplant.

Anatomic cadavers studies have shown the necessity of one-stage abdominoplasty during herniotomy for ventral hernias. An original method of hernioplasty was developed. It is demonstrated that abdominoplasty in all the cases reduces tension of tissues with maximal effect in defects of the anterior abdominal wall from 32 to 150 cm(2) and subcutaneous fat thickness more than 3 cm.
