The main challenge for solar cell devices is harvesting photons beyond the visible by reaching the red-edge (650–780 nm). Dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) devices combine the optical absorption and the charge separation processes by the association of a sensitizer as a light-absorbing material (dye molecules, whose absorption can be tuned and designed) with a wide band gap nanostructured semiconductor. Conformational and environmental effects (i.e., solvent, pH) can drastically influence the photophysical properties of molecular dyes. This study proposes a combined experimental and computational approach for the comprehensive investigation of the electronic and vibrational properties of a unique class of organic dye compounds belonging to the family of red-absorbing dyes, known as squaraines. Our focus lies on elucidating the intricate interplay between the molecular structure, vibrational dynamics, and optical properties of squaraines using state-of-the-art density functional theory calculations and spectroscopic techniques. Through systematic vibrational and optical analyses, we show that (i) the main absorption peak in the visible range is influenced by the conformational and protonation equilibria, (ii) the solvent polarity tunes the position of the UV–vis absorption, and (iii) the vibrational spectroscopy techniques (infrared and Raman) can be used as informative tools to distinguish between different conformations and protonation states. Resonant intermediate states have been proposed to increase the efficiency of entangled two-photon absorption (ETPA). Although resonance-enhanced ETPA (r-ETPA) has been demonstrated in atomic systems using bright squeezed vacuum, it has not been studied in organic molecules. We investigate for the first time r-ETPA in an organic molecular dye, indocyanine green (ICG), when excited by broadband entangled photons in near-IR. Similar to many reported virtual state mediated ETPA (v-ETPA) measurements, no r-ETPA signals are measured, with an experimental upper bound for the cross section placed at 6(±2) × 10−23 cm2. In addition, the classical resonance-enhanced two-photon absorption (r-TPA) cross section of ICG at 800 nm is measured for the first time to be 20(±13) GM, where 1 GM equals 10−50 cm4 s, suggesting that having a resonant intermediate state does not significantly enhance two-photon processes in ICG. Developing dyes with high open-circuit photovoltage (Voc) is a vital strategy to improve the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of co-sensitized solar cells (co-DSSCs). Herein, three organic fluorine-containing dyes [YY-ThP(3F), YY-ThP(2F), and YY-ThP(26F)] are designed and synthesized for investigating the fluorine-induced effect on photophysical and photovoltaic performances. Consequently, this effect can significantly broaden the UV–vis absorption spectra of dyes but fail to improve the light-harvesting capability of DSSCs. Strikingly, YY-ThP(3F), featuring 3-position fluorine substitution to cyanoacrylic acid, yields a relatively high Voc compared to the corresponding fluorine-free dye (YY-ThP). Furthermore, the co-sensitization of YY-ThP+YY-ThP(3F) achieves a remarkably high PCE and long-term stability. Multinuclear (di/tri) copper(II) complexes bridged through hydroxyl groups are very interesting coordination complexes owing to their potential applications in various fields. In this work, three novel dinuclear (μ-hydroxo)-bridged copper(II) complexes in the crystal form, namely, [Cu2(3,5-DIFLB)2(H2tea)2](H2O) (1), [Cu2(4-ClB)2(H2tea)2](H2O) (2), and [Cu2(4-ETHB)2(H2tea)2](H2O)2 (3) (where DIFLB = difluorobenzoate, CLB = chlorobenzoate, ETHB = ethoxybenzoate, and H3tea = triethanolamine), were isolated at room temperature using methanol and water in a 4 : 1 v/v ratio as a solvent. Furthermore, all three complexes (1–3) were characterised using spectroscopic (UV-vis, DRS, and FT-IR), electrochemical (CV) and single-crystal X-ray diffraction techniques. Structural insights gained by packing analysis revealed the role of steric constraints of substituents and various non-covalent interactions in lattice stabilization, which were indeed supported by theoretical and molecular electrostatic potential illustrations. Hirshfeld surface analysis provided quantitative verification about various non-covalent interactions (interatomic contacts) involved in the packing of molecules. Interestingly, as a potential application, complexes 1–3 all exhibited remarkable visible light-mediated photo-Fenton degradation of approximately 98% for 50 ppm concentration of organic dyes (fuchsin basic (FB) and methyl orange (MO)) in 90 minutes with the optimized conditions of 1 mg mL−1 of dye solution. In all the cases, dye degradation by these materials was ascribed to the symbiotic relations among the molecular structures of complexes 1–3, which were endowed with various electron-withdrawing and electron-releasing substituents and ionic strength, with respect to the structure, shape and interacting patterns of dye molecules. The adsorption mechanism indicates that various weak interactions between the donor and acceptor groups of complexes and dyes, such as electrostatic, hydrogen bonding, and direct coordination to metal sites, play a crucial role, which is confirmed by molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Theoretical studies by DFT-based descriptors, molecular electrostatic potentials, and band gaps provided deep insights into various electronic and reactivity parameters. For subsequent processes of dye degradation, complexes 1–3 were stable and recoverable. The successful integration of experimental and theoretical approaches sheds light on copper-based dinuclear stable coordination complexes, showcasing a significant step towards the development of novel heterogeneous photo-Fenton catalysts. Background: Typically, organic dyes show lower excited state lifetimes, a key hindrance in the development of efficient photoredox processes. Due to their distinctive qualities and efficiency, a particular class of organic chromophores has drawn considerable interest from the scientific community. Thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF), is only seen in molecules with a minimal energy gap (usually less than 0.2 eV) between their lowest two excited states, i.e., singlet excited state (Si) and triplet excited state (TJ, is a distinctive property of the molecules under study. Isophthalonitriles are a promising family of chromophores for use as organic photocatalysts because of the ease with which their redox potentials may be adjusted and the prolonged singlet excited states resulting from TADF. Methods: A sustainable process for the photosynthesis of polyfunctionalized dihydro-2-oxypyrroles has been developed using the Michael-Mannich cyclocondensation of amines, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates, and formaldehyde. The development of a green radical synthesis strategy for this family of chemicals is discussed in detail in the current work. This work used a novel halogenated dicyanobenzene-based photosensitizer was used as a photocatalyst. It was dissolved in ethanol, exposed to air at ambient temperature, and triggered by a blue light-emitting diode as a renewable energy source. This project's main goal is to use a novel conveniently accessible, reasonably priced donor-acceptor (D-A) based on halogenated cyanoarene. Findings: When exposed to visible light, the 3DPAFIPN [2,4,6tris(diphenylamino)-5-fluoroisophthalonitrile] photocatalyst, which is a thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF), can induce single-electron transfer (SET), providing a simple and green method that is highly effective, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly. Also, we calculated the turnover number (TON) and turnover frequency (TOF) for polyfunctionalized dihydro-2oxypyrroles. Environmental remediation evinces sensitive detection and elimination of contaminants from the environment. Recent investigations delineate nanomaterials as potentially useful agents in environment remediation. In this investigation, we have developed multifunctional CdO‐ZnO nanocomposite (NCs) for efficient degradation of organic dyes and sensitive detection of nitrite ions which also exhibits excellent luminescence and antioxidant properties. The CdO‐ZnO NCs were developed through a facile method which improved the yield quantity by decreasing the energy consumption there by reducing the cost. Thus synthesized CdO‐ZnO NCs were characterized through X‐ray diffraction, FT‐IR, SEM, TEM, EDX studies. These studies confirmed the successful formation of CdO‐ZnO composite and the average particle size of the NCs was found to be ~50 nm. Selective reduction of harmful industrial organic dyes from the water bodies is one of the important aspects of water pollution. As prepared CdO‐ZnO NCs degraded the MB dye completely in 30 min under visible light irradiation. The effect of various parameters such as catalytic load, dye concentration and pH on the degradation of dye was assessed and the NCs exhibited maximum degradation efficiency at 25 mg of catalytic load and alkaline pH of 11. The photoluminescence studies reveal that the NCs have inherent excellent luminescence property by exhibiting the emission band at 277 and 282 nm. From electrochemical studies, the CdO‐ZnO NCs proclaimed magnificent nitrite sensing property with the LOD value of 9.8 μM. Additionally, antioxidant studies disclosed that NCs remarkably scavenged the DPPH free radicals with IC50 value of 249 μg/mL. Thus, this study establishes simple method for the development of efficient mixed oxide material CdO‐ZnO for multifunctional properties that could find industrial applications. Cerium‐doped zinc oxide (Ce‐ZnO) nanocones with cerium concentrations of 0, 0.5, 1, and 2 % were synthesized using a sol‐gel method. Their effectiveness as photocatalysts for degrading dyes such as Rhodamine B (RhB), Methylene Orange (MO), and Methylene Violet (MV) was evaluated. The optical and structural properties, particle size distribution, and morphology of these nanocones were examined using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and ultraviolet‐visible (UV‐Vis) spectrophotometry. XRD results confirmed that the nanocones were highly crystalline with a hexagonal wurtzite structure, and a noticeable blue shift was observed in the Ce‐doped ZnO nanocones compared to pure ZnO. The photocatalytic performance under UV exposure showed that cerium doping significantly improved the degradation of RhB, MO, and MV. Notably, ZnO nanocones doped with 1 % cerium exhibited the highest photocatalytic efficiency, achieving 100 % degradation of RhB within 60 minutes. ABSTRACT The versatile application of metal‐based nanoparticles has led to a recent rise in interest in the low‐cost and eco‐friendly green chemistry‐based development of metal oxide nanoparticles. This work focuses on the photocatalytic and antibacterial uses of the zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) that were produced based on a green approach employing stem extract of Piper chaba. The formation of ZnONPs was preliminary validated by the appearance of an absorption band at 373 nm and a stretching band due to ZnO at 480 cm−1 in UV–Vis and FTIR spectrum, respectively. The crystalline nature of ZnONPs with a hexagonal wurtzite phase and an average crystallite size of 25 nm was validated by XRD analysis. ZnONPs' crystalline nature was further supported by TEM, which further showed that they were mostly cubic in form and had an average length of 30 nm. Synthesized ZnONPs demonstrated significant antibacterial activity against Salmonella typhi, Vibrio cholerae, Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus and lucrative photocatalytic activity with the rate constant value of 0.0273 min−1 towards the degradation of methylene blue under sunlight exposure. Therefore, a facile, affordable, and ecologically sustainable method like this might be used for the large‐scale synthesis of ZnONPs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this research, Sr-doped hydroxyapatite, HAp and NiO nanoparticles were used to produce a novel nanocomposite, Sr-doped HAp/NiO. Various analytical and instrumentation techniques such as FTIR, PXRD, UV-DRS, SEM, TEM, and XPS were used to characterize the as synthesized composite material. The nanocomposite acts as an efficient photocatalyst and is able to degrade Congo red (CR) dye up to 95.6% within 40 min under solar light irradiation without any kind of external additive. The HR LC–MS spectrum was recorded to determine the degradation products of the chosen organic dye. Furthermore, the as prepared nanocatalyst also effectively reduced 98.7% of carcinogenic Cr(VI) to Cr(III) within just 10 min. In order to propose the photocatalytic mechanism and to detect the active radicals present, a radical trapping experiment was conducted. As an appealing photocatalyst for wastewater treatment and reduction of toxic chemicals, the research concluded with a methodical and cost-effective process for producing the Sr-doped HAp/NiO nanocomposite. A hydrogel consisted of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylic acid) (PNIPAAm-co-AA) and Prussian blue (PB) was synthesized for a cargo carrier by controlling the release of organic dye under near infrared (NIR) light. The AA moiety of the hydrogel provided chemical bonding with Fe (III) ions for further PB formation. Biocompatible, NIR-responsive PB generated heat and the heat was transferred to the hydrogel. The NIPAAm moiety in the hydrogel was shrunken because of the low critical solution temperature behavior of the hydrogel, and the hydrogel released the loaded dye with 62%. Photocatalysis is considered as an environmentally friendly and sustainable method as it can produce active species to degrade pollutants. However, its applications are hindered by the turbidity of pollutants and the requirements for continuous or repeated in situ irradiation. To avoid the need for continuous in situ irradiation in the photocatalytic process, herein we report the doping of Cu(II) ions into zinc gallate (ZnGa 2 O 4) as traps to capture photo-generated electrons. In this way, long lifetime charge release and separation were effectively achieved for the persistent degradation of organic dyes in wastewater. The Cu(II) doped ZnGa 2 O 4 (ZGC) nanoparticles with a small size about 7.7 nm synthesized via a hydrothermal method exhibited a persistent photocatalytic activity with continuous production of reactive oxygen species for at least 96 h without in situ irradiation due to its unique electronic structure and carrier transport path, and enabled to degrade 82.2 % of rhodamine B in 1 h. Further investigation revealed that the doped Cu(II) ions occupied the octahedral sites of ZGC and highly increased the persistent production and availability of active species for the persistent degradation of organic dyes under pre-illuminated conditions. MIL‐53(Fe)‐GO composite photocatalysts were successfully fabricated via a simple solid‐phase synthesis strategy, and they were applied as efficient visible‐light‐driven photocatalysts for the oxidation of organic dyes and the reduction of Cr(VI). The experimental results demonstrated that MIL‐53(Fe)‐GO composites exhibit enhanced photocatalytic activities compared with the pure MIL‐53(Fe) sample. Based on the photoelectrochemical analyses, the loading of GO could enhance visible‐light absorption and accelerate the separation and transfer of charge carries, leading to the improvement of photocatalytic performance. Moreover, more intimate interfacial contact and active sites in the system could be achieved via a simple solid‐phase synthesis strategy. The structural uniqueness of covalent organic frameworks (COFs) has brought great potential for their applications in photocatalysis. Two novel azo‐linked COFs AZO‐B‐COF and AZO‐T‐COF were successfully constructed by the monomer exchange method. Significantly, two as‐synthesized azo COFs presented a much higher photodegradation rate of 96 % and 51 % for AZO‐T‐COF and AZO‐B‐COF, respectively, which was in sharp contrast to the almost 0 degradation rate of imine COFs. And as expected, AZO‐T‐COF could be cycled at least 5 runs without a significant decrease in catalytic efficiency. Systematical experiments and theoretical calculations showed that comparing with imine COFs, conjugated structure of azo COFs broadened the visible‐light absorption range and improved the transfer efficiency of the photocarriers. The N‐rich azo bonds acted as an electron acceptor and made the materials better planarity. This work not only enriches COFs family but also demonstrated the superiority of azo‐linked COFs. Bacterial cellulose (BC)/kappa carrageenan (κ-C) hydrogel was synthesized via in-situ method by inoculating the κ-C into the Acetobacter xylinum cell culture medium. The structural features of the hydrogel was characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. The presence of both biopolymers in the hydrogel was confirmed by the O–H stretching of BC at 3390 cm−1 and the sulfate group (-SO3) of κ-C at 1226 cm−1. Scanning electron microscope images of the hydrogel showed A 3-D network of fibrils with high porosity. The enhanced swelling capacity of the hydrogel in water at pH 7 is due to the combined number of hydrophilic groups from BC and κ-C. The conductivity of the hydrogel increased with increasing κ-C due to the increased number of sulfate groups (-SO3). The hydrogel had the ability to adsorb organic dyes; Congo red, Crystal violet and Methylene blue from neutral water at 27 °C. All the dyes fitted the pseudo second order kinetic model and followed both the Langmuir and the Freundlich adsorption isotherms indicating monolayer adsorption on heterogeneous surfaces. The ΔGoad was negative indicating spontaneous physisorption for the three dyes. The prepared hydrogel being environmentally friendly also showed an improved ability to adsorb the organic dyes. Purpose: The accuracy of surgery for patients with solid tumors can be greatly improved through fluorescence-guided surgery (FGS). However, existing FGS technologies have limitations due to their low penetration depth and sensitivity/selectivity, which are particularly prevalent in the relatively short imaging window (< 900 nm). A solution to these issues is near-infrared-II (NIR-II) FGS, which benefits from low autofluorescence and scattering under the long imaging window (> 900 nm). However, the inherent self-assembly of organic dyes has led to high accumulation in main organs, resulting in significant background signals and potential long-term toxicity. Methods: We rationalize the donor structure of donor–acceptor-donor-based dyes to control the self-assembly process to form an ultra-small dye nanocluster, thus facilitating renal excretion and minimizing background signals. Results: Our dye nanocluster can not only show clear vessel imaging, tumor and tumor sentinel lymph nodes definition, but also achieve high-performance NIR-II imaging-guided surgery of tumor-positive sentinel lymph nodes. Polysaccharides are widely represented in plants and bacteria, where they are distinguished by their extraordinary structural diversity and the performance of various functions. To study the functions of polysaccharides, their fluorescent labeling is needed. This review discusses methods for introducing fluorescent labels into polysaccharides by chemical modification of certain functional groups of these complex biopolymers, as well as using the so-called bioorthogonal reactions, which allow labeling in a cell without affecting its viability. Organic dyes that absorb light in the visible to near‐infrared region have garnered significant interest, owing to their extensive utility in organic photovoltaics and various biomedical applications. Aza‐boron‐dipyrromethene (Aza‐BODIPY) dyes are a class of chromophores with impressive photophysical properties such as tunable absorption from the visible region towards near infrared (NIR) region, high molar absorptivity, and fluorescence quantum yield. In this review, we discuss the developments in the aza‐BODIPYs, related to their synthetic routes, photophysical properties and their applications. Their design strategies, modifications in chemical structures, mode/position of attachment, and their impact on photo‐physical properties are reviewed. The potential applications of aza‐BODIPY derivatives such as organic solar cells, photodynamic therapy, boron‐neutron capture therapy, fluorescence sensors, photo‐redox catalysis, photoacoustic probes and optoelectronic devices are explained. Cyanine derivatives are organic dyes widely used for optical imaging. However, their potential in longitudinal optoacoustic imaging and photothermal therapy remains limited due to challenges such as poor chemical stability, poor photostability, and low photothermal conversion. In this study, we present a new structural modification for cyanine dyes by introducing a strongly electron-withdrawing group (barbiturate), resulting in a new series of barbiturate-cyanine dyes (BC810, BC885, and BC1010) with suppressed fluorescence and enhanced stability. Furthermore, the introduction of BC1010 into block copolymers (PEG 114 -b-PCL 60) induces aggregation-caused quenching, further boosting the photothermal performance. The photophysical properties of nanoparticles (BC1010-NPs) include their remarkably broad absorption range from 900 to 1200 nm for optoacoustic imaging, allowing imaging applications in NIR-I and NIR-II windows. The combined effect of these strategies, including improved photostability, enhanced nonradiative relaxation, and aggregation-caused quenching, enables the detection of optoacoustic signals with high sensitivity and effective photothermal treatment of in vivo tumor models when BC1010-NPs are administered before irradiation with a 1064 nm laser. This research introduces a barbiturate-functionalized cyanine derivative with optimal properties for efficient optoacoustics-guided theranostic applications. We have demonstrated a single‐crystal‐to‐single‐crystal (SCSC) transformation from a two‐dimensional noninterpenetrated layer to a microporous three‐dimensional fourfold interpenetrated MOF. The centrosymmetric [Co2(μ2‐OH)(EIBA)3]n (SNUT‐25) transforms into a microporous [Co(EIBA)2]n (SNUT‐26), which is triggered by the reaction time with DMF that acts as a structure‐directing agent (HEIBA = 4‐(2‐ethyl‐1H‐imidazol‐1‐yl)benzoic acid; DMF = N,N′‐dimethylformamide). Despite the distinct structure and coordination arrangements of SNUT‐25 in contrast to SNUT‐26, both Co‐MOFs were synthesized using the same ligand. Fascinatingly, upon introducing a specific quantity of DMF combined with a negligible proportion of nitric acid, SNUT‐25 will progressively and completely transform into SNUT‐26. Under the synergistic induction of solvent molecules and temperature, SNUT‐25 changed from the original two‐dimensional layered structure to the three‐dimensional pore structure of SNUT‐26. In addition, SNUT‐25 and SNUT‐26 are efficient photocatalysts for the degradation of organic dye methyl blue (MB) under visible light irradiation. In piezoelectric catalysis, the interaction between reaction molecules and the catalyst surface is of great significance for designing highly selective reaction processes. In this study, chemically functionalized BaTiO 3 nanoparticles were fabricated using the hydrothermal method, and the piezoelectric catalytic activity was evaluated for degradation dye reactants by ultrasonic vibration. Due to surface modification of BaTiO 3 nanoparticles, the carboxyl groups will be applied on the surface of BaTiO 3 nanoparticles, resulting in the reduction in particle size and an increase in specific surface area. The adsorption of the carboxyl groups on the surface can also improve the ability of the BaTiO 3 nanoparticles to capture the organic dyes. A high piezoelectric catalytic reaction rate constant of 0.0716 min−1, together with a degradation efficiency of >90 % was achieved within 30 min under 60 kHz and 100 W ultrasonic conditions. These results show that the surface modification of BaTiO 3 nanoparticles brought excellent performance of piezoelectric catalysis by controlling the precursor and hydrothermal parameters. The Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) is a widely used mechanism harnessed for sensing applications. For temporal stability of the energy transfer between donor and acceptor molecules their photostability and maintenance of the coupling geometry are important. A donor‐acceptor system was created from silicon nanoclusters (Si NCs) and silver nanoclusters (dihydrolopic acid (DHLA)‐protected Ag29 NCs). Optical spectroscopy and lifetime measurements helped to understand the energy transfer process between the Si NCs and Ag29 NCs. Compared with donor‐acceptor pairs based on gold nanocluster and organic dyes, the FRET pair formed between Si NCs and Ag29 (DHLA)12 NCs reaches a coequal efficiency of 60 %. BACKGROUND: Anthraquinone dyes have an anthraquinone structure as their nucleus, with one or more substituents forming different organic dyes. Anthraquinone dyes have a complex structure that allows them to exist stably in water environment, but also makes them more toxic than azo dyes. This results in varying degrees of harm to both humans and the environment as a result of residual dyes in the water or on the material' surface. Sodium percarbonate (SPC) is a highly promising oxidant due to its green end product. Therefore, in this study, the catalytic performance and kinetic study of cobalt oxide (CoO) on SPC under different conditions were systematically investigated using RB19 as the target pollutant. The Box–Behnken Design (BBD) model was used to model the degradation of RB19 by CoO/SPC system, which gives the basis for practical application. The types of reactive oxygen species that effectively degrade RB19 and the potential degradation mechanism of the CoO/SPC system were revealed. At the same time, the CoO/SPC system was evaluated in terms of its practicality. RESULTS: In this work, the activation of SPC using CoO towards reactive blue 19 (RB19) degradation was explored. Experimental results showed that nearly 93.8% of RB19 could be removed within 30 min using 1 mmol L−1 SPC and 30 mg L−1 CoO. The three‐factor interaction effects of SPC concentration, CoO dosage and initial pH were investigated. The BBD model was set up to obtain the optimum working conditions of 1.039 mmol L−1 SPC, 33.35 mg L−1 CoO and the initial pH of 7.82, which gave a degradation rate of 95.372%. Additionally, it was confirmed that the solubility of Co2+ is consistently <150 μg L−1, meeting the emission standard (1 ppm). The presence of Cl−, NO3–, and HA had a similar profile, with a slight promoting effect in small amounts and an inhibitory effect when introduced in excess. The introduction of SO42– had a negligible effect on RB19 degradation, whereas the presence of HCO3− produced a slight inhibitory effect. Furthermore, the presence of PO43– showed a strong inhibitory effect. The CoO/SPC system is suitable for other organic dyes (32.7%–100%) and antibiotics (97.1–100%). Electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) analysis and quenching experiments confirmed the presence and relative contribution of free radicals in the CoO/SPC system as CO3•‐ (88.12%) >O2•‐ (51.11%) >1O2 (37.21%) >•OH (5.27%) > SPC (3.33%) >CoO (0.09%). It has been confirmed that CoO activates SPC through electron transfer. CONCLUSION: The present study describes a less time‐consuming, and more efficient method of treating anthraquinone dye wastewater that requires less oxidizer and catalyst, making it more economical. Photo-Fenton catalysis plays an important role in the degradation of organic pollutants in environmental sewage. In this paper, magnetic 0D/1D ZnFe2O4/ZnCO3 rod-like nanocomposites were fabricated by a simple one-pot solvothermal method, and then the produced magnetic 0D/1D ZnFe2O4/ZnO rod-like nanocomposites were formed via calcination at high temperature. The obtained 0D/1D ZnFe2O4/ZnCO3 has been fully investigated by x-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and vibrating sample magnetometry. Furthermore, the photocatalytic Fenton reaction of these two catalysts has been preliminarily evaluated for the degradation performance of organic dyes and antibiotics in wastewater. The results showed that, under visible-light irradiation, the ZnFe2O4/ZnCO3 composite material and its product, ZnFe2O4/ZnO, after high-temperature firing can achieve more than 90% photo-Fenton catalytic degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) and tetracycline (TC) within 30 min, superior to that of ZnFe2O4, ZnCO3 , and ZnO monomers due to their larger specific surface area and more active sites. The magnetization saturation values of ZnFe2O4/ZnCO3-2 and ZnFe2O4/ZnO-2 were, respectively, around 34.20 emu/g and 15.00 emu/g, indicating that both have good magnetic recovery properties. After five cycles of experiments, the photo-Fenton catalytic properties of ZnFe2O4/ZnCO3-2 and ZnFe2O4/ZnO-2 on TC decreased slightly within 30 min, but the Fenton catalytic properties of RhB still maintained more than 98%, indicating that both have good magnetic recovery properties and strong structural stability. A possible photo-Fenton catalytic mechanism has been proposed based on free radical identification, electrochemical impedance spectra, photocurrent curves, and a Mott–Schottky diagram. This study aims to explore how altering solvothermal duration influences the characteristics of the resulting products, spanning crystal structure, band gap energy, morphology, and photocatalytic performance. Bismuth‐rich oxyiodide was synthesized via the solvothermal method by dissolving Bi(NO3)3 ⋅ 5H2O and KI in ethylene glycol. The mixture underwent heating in a Teflon autoclave stainless steel at 120 °C for durations of 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours. Analysis using FTIR revealed the presence of Bi−O and I−O bonds. Diffractograms indicated that all products exhibited traits of Bi4O5I2, with slight traces of Bi5O7I. Distinct band gap energies were observed across the solvothermal durations: 2 eV for 6 hours, 2.08 eV for 12 hours, and 1.89 eV for both 24 and 48 hours, delineating temporal nuances in product properties. Noteworthy, the morphology of the 12 hour variant revealed surface pores, indicative of intricate structural features. Notably, the 12 hour product exhibited the pinnacle of photocatalytic efficacy in methyl orange decolorization under UV light. Furthermore, investigations into photocatalyst mass variations and the inclusion of additional dyes, such as rhemazol black B, further elucidated the robust photocatalytic potential inherent in the B12 variant. Encapsulating luminescent dyes within delignified wood templates is a promising strategy for developing wood-based composite luminescent materials. However, the interactions between the nanopore structure of delignified wood, the loading efficiency of luminescent dyes, and the resulting luminescent properties of these composites remains unclear. In this study, we developed a series of wood-based luminescent composites using delignified wood templates as a dispersion platform for encapsulating classical organic fluorescent dyes. By extensively exploring the interrelationships among the delignification degree, organic dye loading efficiency, and luminescence properties, we uncovered the influence of delignified wood templates on the luminescent characteristics of wood-based luminescent composites. Furthermore, we demonstrated that the luminescent color could be controlled by encapsulating varying proportions of blue-, green- and red-fluorescent dyes, thus enabling the achievement of full-color fluorescence in wood-based luminescent composites. These wood-based luminescent composites hold great promise for applications in data anti-counterfeiting and light-emitting diode technology, offering valuable theoretical support for the development and utilization of innovative wood-based luminescent composites. The presented study was focused on the simple, eco-friendly synthesis of composite hydrogels of crosslinked carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC)/alginate (SA) with encapsulated g-C3N4 nanoparticles. The structural, textural, morphological, optical, and mechanical properties were determined using different methods. The encapsulation of g-C3N4 into CMC/SA copolymer resulted in the formation of composite hydrogels with a coherent structure, enhanced porosity, excellent photostability, and good adhesion. The ability of composite hydrogels to eliminate structurally different dyes with the same or opposite charge properties (cationic Methylene Blue and anionic Orange G and Remazol Brilliant Blue R) in both single- and binary-dye systems was examined through adsorption and photocatalytic reactions. The interactions between the dyes and g-C3N4 and the negatively charged CMC/SA copolymers had a notable influence on both the adsorption capacity and photodegradation efficiency of the prepared composites. Scavenger studies and leaching tests were conducted to gain insights into the primary reactive species and to assess the stability and long-term performance of the g-C3N4/CMC/SA beads. The commendable photocatalytic activity and excellent recyclability, coupled with the elimination of costly catalyst separation requirements, render the g-C3N4/CMC/SA composite hydrogels cost-effective and environmentally friendly materials, and strongly support their selection for tackling environmental pollution issues. Iron oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation using three different iron salt stoichiometric mole ratios. Powder X-ray diffraction patterns revealed the inverse cubic spinel structure of magnetite iron oxide. Transmission electron microscopic images showed Fe3O4 nanoparticles with different shapes and average particle sizes of 5.48 nm for Fe3O4-1:2, 6.02 nm for Fe3O4-1.5:2, and 6.98 nm for Fe3O4-2:3 with an energy bandgap of 3.27 to 3.53 eV. The as-prepared Fe3O4 nanoparticles were used as photocatalysts to degrade brilliant green (BG), rhodamine B (RhB), indigo carmine (IC), and methyl red (MR) under visible light irradiation. The photocatalytic degradation efficiency of 80.4% was obtained from Fe3O4-1:2 for brilliant green, 61.5% from Fe3O4-1.5:2 for rhodamine B, and 77.9% and 73.9% from Fe3O4-2:3 for both indigo carmine and methyl red. This indicates that Fe3O4-2:3 is more efficient in the degradation of more than one dye. This study shows that brilliant green degrades most effectively at pH 9, rhodamine B degrades best at pH 6.5, and indigo carmine and methyl red degrade most efficiently at pH 3. GaN is more stable than most metal oxide semiconductors for the photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants in harsh conditions, while its catalytic efficiency has been difficult to be substantially improved. In this study, the tribocatalytic degradation of organic dyes by GaN nanoparticles has been investigated. Stimulated through magnetic stirring using homemade Teflon magnetic rotary disks in glass beakers, the GaN nanoparticles were found to induce negligible degradation in rhodamine B (RhB) and methyl orange (MO) solutions. Surprisingly, the degradation was greatly enhanced in beakers with Ti and Al2O3 coatings on their bottoms: 99.2% and 99.8% of the 20 mg/L RhB solutions were degraded in 3 h for the Ti and Al2O3 coatings, respectively, and 56% and 60.2% of the 20 mg/L MO solutions were degraded in 24 h for the Ti and Al2O3 coatings, respectively. Moreover, the MO molecules were only broken into smaller organic molecules for the Ti coating, while they were completely degraded for the Al2O3 coating. Organic photoluminescent materials with room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) are of great interest, yet achieving RTP in hydrogels faces challenges due to water‐quenching effects. In this study, a straightforward method is presented to achieve RTP hydrogel using a self‐healing and salt‐hardening hydrogel. The hydrogel is synthesized by polymerizing acrylic acid (AA) with diethylenetriamine (DETA) as the dynamic crosslinker. The poly(acrylic acid)/DETA hydrogel could achieve an afterglow lasting 1.6 s after soaking with NaBr solution. The salt‐enhanced hydrophobic aggregation of the hydrogel network promotes the clustering of carboxyl groups and oxygen atoms, resulting in a rigid environment that suppresses nonradioactive transitions and leads to the manifestation of RTP. Additionally, the dynamic association of AA‐DETA allows the freeze‐dried hydrogel powder to be blended with various hydrophobic dyes, leading to a remodelable hydrogel with delayed emission of multiple colors. In general, by combining salt‐hardening property with self‐healing property together, a RTP hydrogel platform that can be facilely loaded with various organic dyes is proposed. Well-constructed photocatalysts with efficient catalytic activity have attracted much attention due to their efficient visible-light absorption and superior charge separation capability. Visible-light responsive Cu 3 Mo 2 O 9 nanoparticles are synthesized utilising a simple and environmentally friendly green combustion process with Butea monosperma leaf extract as a reducing agent. X-ray diffraction pattern confirms the formation of orthorhombic crystal structure of Cu 3 Mo 2 O 9 NPs corresponding to space group Pnma (62). Furthermore, the synthesized NPs were characterized using FTIR, UV-DRS, PL, SEM and TEM studies. It was found that the direct energy band gap was 2.29 eV. Through photodegradation in the presence of visible light, the dye-sorbed photocatalyst exhibited excellent results. The sorbents have also been examined for recycling, and it has been observed that they maintain their effectiveness even after multiple successive runs. These substances therefore appear to have potential as efficient industrial dye wastewater remediators. Moreover, the high intensity emission in the green zone is amply confirmed by the photoluminescence emission spectra and CIE coordinates. An efficient removal of the photocatalysts used in the decontamination of water is crucial after its application beside its expected visible light sensitive activities. This study presents the synthesis of magnetically separable CuFe2O4 nanoparticles (CFNPs) with enhanced photoactivity under AM 1.5 G sunlight. A simple two-step process involving co-precipitation and hydrothermal treatment is employed, with subsequent annealing at temperatures from 200 °C to 1000 °C to synthesize the CFNPs. The characteristic features of the highest photoactive tetragonal phase of CFNP are confirmed by powder XRD studies with Rietveld refinement. This scheme strategically controls the growth of a highly photoactive tetragonal phase with predominant (224) facets over other less active facets in cubic CuFe2O4. Mott–Schottky analysis confirms the p -type semiconducting nature of CFNPs. A favourable direct optical band gap of 1.73 eV, as well as photoluminescence emission quenching for visible photons, show that the (224) oriented CFNPs are good photocatalysts in the visible spectrum with demonstrated organic dye degradations, including methylene blue and others. A density functional theory-based approach validates that the adsorption of such dye is thermodynamically more favourable on (224) facets of CuFe2O4 to facilitate the redox action by the excitons. Three new chromophores based on difluoroborondipyrromethene dyes (Bodipy‐1, Bodipy‐2, and Bodipy‐3) are used as precursors to prepare luminescent solar concentrators (LSC) based on poly‐acrylate, following a thermally activated polymerization involving lauryl methacrylate as monomer, ethyl glycol dimethacrylate as cross‐linking agent, and lauroyl peroxide as initiator. The new dyes exhibit typical BODIPY absorption and emission properties in dichloromethane fluid solution, assigned to the lower‐lying singlet π–π∗ level, which in the case of Bodipy‐2 and Bodipy‐3, both containing diamino‐substituted styryl subunits in their structure, has a strong charge transfer contribution. The LSCs obtained starting from each of the three Bodipys are interfaced to silicon photovoltaic (PV) cells, and the PV light‐to‐energy conversion efficiencies ηopt for the three systems are calculated. The results yield ηopt of 4.53% for LSC‐Bodipy‐1, 5.26% for LSC‐Bodipy‐2, and 8.23% for LSC‐Bodipy‐3. The fields of biomedicine and catalysis have both shown a great deal of interest in copper oxide nanoparticles (CuONPs). Green synthesis methods are being frequently employed to develop highly active CuONPs. This research investigates the potential photocatalytic and antibacterial applications of two CuONPs that were synthesized utilizing extracts from Dillenia indica (D‐CuONPs) and Mikania micrantha (M‐CuONPs) leaves. Analysis using electron microscopy revealed that CuONPs are uniformly spherical and average size around 15 nm. The development of single‐phase CuONPs with a monoclinic structure is shown by X‐ray diffraction studies. The FTIR peaks at 695 cm−1 and 860 cm−1 represent a stretching of Cu−O, signifying the formation of CuO nanostructure. The EDX profiles stated that the CuONPs are correlated with compliantly intensified Cu and O signals. Under solar irradiation, around 90 % of congo red (CR) dye was degraded by both CuONPs in 120 min, with the rate constants of 0.0187 and 0.0174 min−1, respectively. Furthermore, CuONPs have excellent antibacterial activity against bacteria belonging to both Gram classes. Overall, CuONPs hold great potential for inhibiting the growth of pathogenic bacteria and for degrading organic dyes in the presence of sunlight. Industries persistently contribute to environmental pollution by releasing a multitude of harmful substances, including organic dyes, which represent a significant hazard to human health. As a result, the demand for effective adsorbents in wastewater treatment technology is steadily increasing so as to mitigate or eradicate these environmental risks. In response to this challenge, we have developed an advanced composite known as MOF-5/Cellulose aerogel, utilizing the Pampas plant as a natural material in the production of cellulose aerogel. Our investigation focused on analyzing the adsorption and flexibility characteristics of this novel composite for organic dye removal. Additionally, we conducted tests to assess the aerogel's reusability and determined that its absorption rate remained consistent, with the adsorption capacity of the MOF-5/cellulose aerogel composite only experiencing a marginal 5% reduction. Characterization of the material was conducted through XRD analysis, revealing the cubic structure of MOF aerogel particles under scanning electron microscopy. Our study unequivocally demonstrates the superior adsorption capabilities of the MOF-5/cellulose aerogel composite, particularly evident in its efficient removal of acid blue dye, as evaluated meticulously using UV–Vis spectrophotometric techniques. Notably, our findings revealed an impressive 96% absorption rate for the anionic dye under acidic pH conditions. Furthermore, the synthesized MOF-5/cellulose aerogel composite exhibited Langmuir isotherm behavior and followed pseudo-second-order kinetics during the absorption process. Mimicking the characteristics and achieving specific functions of biological systems is stirring but challenging. Generally, pigments in the commercial coating can only achieve a similarity in chromaticity, while cannot obtain a similarity in the solar reflective spectrum whose difficulty resides in simulating spectral characteristics simultaneously. Unfortunately, traditional organic pigments show poor weather and heat resistance. Herein, with the little difference in the color difference (ΔEab*), the high spectral similarity, as well as adjustable green peak and similar red edge slope compared with the common plants (pagoda tree leaf, etc.) in 400–2500 nm, is also attained. It is achieved by the interlayer confined organic pigment in Mg/Al‐layered double hydroxide (Mg/Al‐LDH) layers. The corresponding biomimetic leaf displays high hyperspectral performance with a spectral angle cosine of 0.9922 and heat resistance at 120 °C. The longer weather resistance than that of mechanical mixing is also demonstrated. The intercalated chromophores of sodium copper chlorophyllin in the Mg/Al‐LDH and the interlayer confinement of Mg/Al‐LDH contribute to the excellent performance. This work provides a green pigment and a biomimetic leaf requiring the same chromaticity and spectrum as green plants, filling the long‐term use demand gap for heat and weather‐resistant biomimetic vegetation. A new cadmium complex with a flexible imidazolinethione ligand has been successfully synthesized. The ligand acts as a bidentate chelating molecule, resulting in the structure being a monomer. In this monomer, cadmium has an octahedral geometry coordinated by four sulfur atoms from two mbit ligands where mbit = 3,3'-methylenebis(1-methyl-1,3-dihydro-2H-imidazole-2-thione) and two oxygen atoms from the DMF molecules. The $ \textrm{ClO}_4^ - $ ClO4− anions are uncoordinated and neutralize the positive charge of the cationic complex. Semiconductor photocatalysts are promising for Oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and also for reducing organic pollutants in wastewater. However, their limited activity under UV light and the fast recombination of electron-hole pairs, hinder their utilization in wastewater treatment. To address these challenges a novel photocatalyst based on carbon quantum dots (CQDs) supported Zinc–Cobalt Oxide (ZnCo 2 O 4) was developed, which demonstrated enhanced photocatalytic efficiency. Experimental findings indicated that 0.7 CQDs/ZnCo 2 O 4 exhibited superior photocatalytic performance compared to ZnCO 2 O 4 and CQDs/ZnCO 2 O 4 composites materials, achieving over 100 and 96 % decomposition of methylene blue (MB) and methylene orange (MO) dyes after 50 and 140 min under UV light. The enhanced performance of 0.7 CQDs/ZnCo 2 O 4 can be attributed to the charge transfer rate and synergistic effect between the coupled CQDs and ZnCo 2 O 4. Moreover, studies with radical scavengers reveal that •O 2 , •OH, and h+ play crucial roles in the breakdown of MB and MO dyes. Wood specimens were dyed by boiling them in the presence of walnut shells and dye to penetrate the dyestuff into the sample. Specimens prepared from Scots pine, oak, and beech woods were boiled separately in walnut shell, water, and NaOH environment, and the penetration of the dyestuff into the samples was ensured. Sodium hydroxide solution was preferred because it facilitates the dissolution of the hemicelluloses in the wood and the dyestuffs in the walnut shell. Alum was added in other samples to reveal the mordant effect on the adhesion of dyestuffs to wood. Thermogravimetric (TG) analysis revealed that wood degradation primarily occurs due to evaporation of free water at 50 to 120 ℃, followed by lignin and cellulose breakdown across a wide temperature range of 160 to 600 ℃. Treatment with NaOH and NaOH+alum notably reduced the peak temperatures in differential-thermogravimetric analysis by indicating an effect on lignin. This was supported by Fourier transform infrared analysis, particularly in the disappearance of carboxyl groups at 1710 cm-1 and significant decreases in peak intensities at 1027, 1247, 1315, and 1501 cm-1. Context: The world's energy and environmental requirements are changing due to rapid population growth and industrial growth, and solar cells can be used to meet these demands. Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) are solar cells in which energy conversion occurs via a process similar to photosynthesis in plants. DSSC development is still in its infancy. DSSCs can operate under cloudy conditions and indirect sunlight and have attracted considerable attention due to their low cost and high efficiency. We designed two metal-free TPA-based dyes (Dye2 and Dye3) based on the reference dye Mg207 (Dye1) by increasing the donor strength of the molecule, as such dyes have shown enhanced efficiency in DSSCs. Moreover, the triphenylamine (TPA) moiety has been demonstrated to be a good donor that prevents charge recombination. Intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) from the donor to acceptor moiety was found in the sensitizers, and electrons were promoted to the conduction band (CB) of the TiO2 semiconductor. The negative binding energy of the dye@TiO2 clusters indicated that dye adsorption on the semiconductor surface was stable. The double donor increased the electron injection and electronic coupling constants in Dye2 and Dye3, indicating that these newly designed dyes have superior charge injection capacity. Accordingly, the efficiencies of DSSCs with Dye2 and Dye3 were 9.77% and 9.62%, respectively, and substitution with the TPA unit at the -R1 and -R2 positions in Dye1 resulted in better power conversion compared to the parent compound (9.09%). Increased donor strength improved photovoltaic performance by increasing current density and light-harvesting efficiency. This is a good molecular design approach for preparing targeted donor- π -acceptor (D- π -A) organic dyes with high DSSC efficiency. Methods: To predict the charge transport and optoelectronic characteristics of the TPA dyes, quantum chemical calculations were carried out using Gaussian16. The ground-state (S0) optimized geometries of the sensitizers were computed by utilizing DFT at the B3LYP/6-31G** level. The absorption spectra (λ max) were computed by employing TD-DFT with various functionals (B3LYP, PBE1PBE, CAM-B3LYP, and BHandHLYP) in the gas and solvent (DCM) phases. Among the studied functionals, BHandHLYP was found to be best at successfully reproducing the experimental data. Thus, the absorption spectra of the newly designed dyes and dye@TiO2 were calculated at the BHandHLYP/6-31G** level. A honeycomb porous cadmium(II) metal–organic framework {[Cd(L)(H2O)] ⋅ NMP ⋅ 5H2O}n (1, H2L=1‐(4‐carboxyphenyl)‐1H‐pyrazole‐3‐carboxylic acid and NMP=1‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidinone) was obtained using the solvothermal method. The luminescent molecules rhodamine B (RhB) and fluorescein (FL) were encapsulated in 1 using the immersion method to prepare RhB@1 and FL@1 dual emission composites. Additionally, a series of RhBx/FL1‐x@1 composites with varying luminescence properties were generated by altering the molar ratio of RhB to FL. Furthermore, the photoluminescence of RhB@1 and FL@1 was demonstrated to be caused by photoelectron transfer and fluorescence resonance energy transfer from 1 to the encapsulated guest module. Notably, RhB@1 showed the considerable improvement in fluorescence selectivity and detection limit (10−6 M) for metronidazole and dimetronidazole with remarkable recyclability. Efficient photosensitizers are crucial for advancing solar energy conversion and storage technologies. In this study, we designed and synthesized a novel organic dye, denoted as YB6, for p‐type dye‐sensitized solar cells (p‐DSCs) and photoelectrochemical H2O2 production. YB6 features an extended conjugated π‐bridge derived from indacenodithieno[3,2‐b]thiophene and exhibits notable advantages: a two‐fold higher molar extinction coefficient at its main absorption peak and a broader absorption as compared to the PB6 dye. In p‐type dye‐sensitized NiO photoelectrochemical cells, the YB6‐based device demonstrated superior performance as compared to the PB6‐based device. It delivered nearly a 50 % higher H2O2 production over 5 hours. Furthermore, when fabricated into p‐DSCs, the YB6‐based device exhibited a 33 % higher power conversion efficiency. This enhancement is caused by suppressed charge recombination from the dye structure, which in turn may be traced to a larger thermodynamic up‐hill process for recombination losses in the YB6‐based system. As excellent functional materials, the composite materials based on graphene and its derivatives (GNDs) have lots of important application values in the emerging fields such as solar energy conversion, and the exploration of electron (or energy) transfer properties of those composites is the key for revealing their further applications. In this review, femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopy (TAS) has been introduced as an essential technique to understand the carrier behaviors in GNDs composites, as well as the advancements of TAS. The specific examples of electron transport in various composite materials characterized by TAS are summarized and discussed, which consist of GNDs with semiconductor quantum dots (QDs), organic dyes, organic polymers, perovskites and other materials, respectively. To screen efficient organic dyes, six novel XY1b-based molecules are designed by modifying electron-assisted acceptors, and their electronic structure, optical properties and photovoltaic performances are evaluated in detail with density functional theory (DFT) and time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) calculations coupled with the incoherent charge transfer model. Results show that benzoselenadiazole (BSD) and diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) are two best electron-assisted acceptors and replacing benzothiadiazole (BTD) with the BSD/DPP unit can redshift the maximum absorption peak by 13/67 nm. According to our estimation, the overall photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) of XY1b is as high as 13.09% with a Jsc of 16.261 mA·cm−2, Voc of 1.047 V and FF of 0.769, in good agreement with its measured value of 11.8 ± 0.2% (Jsc = 15.26 ± 0.18 mA·cm−2, Voc = 1.01 ± 0.003 V and FF = 76.3 ± 0.2%), verifying that the scheme proposed by us is reliable. With the same procedure, the predicted PCE values for dyes 1, 2 and 5 reach up to 18.00%, 15.95% and 27.37% respectively, indicating that these three dyes are potential efficient sensitisers and are worthy of further study by experiments. Repurposing enzymes to catalyze non‐natural asymmetric transformations that are difficult to achieve using traditional chemical methods is of significant importance. Although radical C−O bond formation has emerged as a powerful approach for constructing oxygen‐containing compounds, controlling the stereochemistry poses a great challenge. Here we present the development of a dual bio‐/photo‐catalytic system comprising an ene‐reductase and an organic dye for achieving stereoselective lactonizations. By integrating directed evolution and photoinduced single electron oxidation, we repurposed engineered ene‐reductases to steer non‐natural radical C−O formations (one C−O bond for hydrolactonizations and lactonization‐alkylations while two C−O bonds for lactonization‐oxygenations). This dual catalysis gave a new approach to a diverse array of enantioenhanced 5‐ and 6‐membered lactones with vicinal stereocenters, part of which bears a quaternary stereocenter (up to 99 % enantiomeric excess, up to 12.9 : 1 diastereomeric ratio). Developing economical and high‐performing sensitizers is crucial in advancing dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and optoelectronics. This research paper explores the potential of novel red light‐absorbing organic dyes based on Indolo[3,2‐b]carbazole (ICZ) as the donor applied in co‐sensitizer‐free DSSCs for breakthroughs in photovoltaic (PV) applications. DFT and TD‐DFT based computational methods were employed to calculate the conduction band levels, electron injection capabilities, and power conversion efficiency (PCE) of metal‐free organic dyes (ICZ1–ICZ9) having D‐A‐π‐A architecture. Comprehensive analyses included NBO, DOS, FMO, ICT, MEP, binding energy, and TDM analysis. Quantum chemical calculations of the structural, photochemical, and electrochemical properties, as well as the key parameters, reveals that all the designed dyes could be an excellent candidate for high‐efficiency DSSCs due the small energy gap (2.130–1.947 eV), longer wavelength absorption (759.47–520.63 nm), longer lifetimes (15.65–6.67 ns), a lower ΔGreg (0.29–0.14 eV), a significant dipole moment changes (31.489–16.195D), LHE (0.95‐0.46), the large qCT (0.962–0.689), small DCT (7.657, 4.897 Å), and VOC (1.13–0.86 eV). This quantum simulation showed that, when compared to reference D8, the photovoltaic dyes ICZ8, ICZ2, and ICZ7 are recognized as being eye‐catching. Furthermore, dye@(TiO2)9 cluster model results demonstrate promising prospects for enhancing the photovoltaic (PV) performance of ICZ1–ICZ9 dyes by electron injection and conduction band (CB) engineering. Ionic liquids attached to Bi7O9I3 fibers (located in the space between two fibers) can hold zinc oxide nanoparticles (NPs) well in this space and lead to the creation of a bifunctional nanocatalyst with high power (referred to as IL@Bi7O9I3-ZnO). The environmentally friendly and promising approach of photocatalytic degradation of organic dye residues serves as a means to address challenges that pose a threat to life forms. Here, an extremely effective Z-scheme heterojunction light-driven catalyst was deliberately formulated, constructed, and effectively employed for the eradication of erythrosine, methyl violet, and eriochrome black T. The outcomes acquired from the study revealed that the quantity of ZnO quantum dots directly impacts the degradation yield. The incorporation of quantum dots within the light-driven catalyst structure resulted in an enhancement in light-harvesting capability, charge transfer efficiency, and electron transfer rate. The evaluation of catalyst activity encompassed an examination of different elements in the catalyst used for producing and eliminating natural dyes. A prudent method has been suggested to optimize the collaboration between the Bi7O9I3 and ZnO groups at the nanoparticle locations on the catalyst, allowing for its recovery and subsequent reuse without any significant loss in reactivity for a minimum of ten successive cycles. In this research, the alginate doped graphene oxide (GO)-Fe3O4-TiO2 photomagnetic nanocomposite was synthesised through a three-step method. For comparison, alginate-GO was also prepared. The synthesised materials were characterised through FTIR, XRD, TGA, SEM, EDX, and TEM techniques. The photomagnetic properties of the resultant nanocomposite were evaluated by VSM. Degradation of Malachite green as a dye pollutant was studied in the presence of alginate (Alg), Alg-GO, and Alg-GO-Fe3O4-TiO2 nanocomposite using a sonophotocatalysis technique. The results showed, that, Alg-GO-Fe3O4-TiO2 nanocomposite has high efficiency in the removal of Malachite green. Recycling experiments displayed that the degradation efficiency dropped only by 12%, after five successive runs. and makes it a promising catalyst for efficient degradation of dye pollutants in the practical applications.
