The growing awareness of environmental and public health problems linked to the excessive use of agrochemicals has stimulated interest in the search for bioherbicides. In view of this, alleopathy has shown to be promising because many plants are rich in biologically active compounds that can be exploited for the production of bioherbicides. In this sense, the objective of this study was to evaluate the allelopathic effect of different concentrations (0; 1; 2.5; 5 and 10%) of aqueous and hydroalcoholic extracts of eucalyptus (Eucalyptus grandis), mint (Mentha spicata), tansage (Plantago major) and jack bean (Canavalia ensiformis) on germination and initial growth of lettuce (Lactuca sativa) and wheat (Triticum sp.) plants, as well as analyzing the presence of secondary metabolites in methanolic extracts of the species. To obtain the extracts, 20 g of previously dehydrated and crushed plant was homogenized in 100 mL of solvent, for germination and growth analysis, 25 seeds of each recipient species were placed in a gerbox with diluted aqueous and hydroalcoholic extracts (0; 1; 2.5; 5 and 10%). The experimental design was completely randomized, with three replications per treatment, with analysis of germination percentage, germination speed index (GSI), radicle and shoot length. For the phytochemical analysis, the extracts were purified and evaluated qualitatively and quantitatively using a gas detector chromatograph based on the retention time in the column. The use of both aqueous and hydroalcoholic extracts of the species tested on lettuce and wheat showed a reduction in the analyzed variables and even total inhibition of germination at the highest concentrations used. The negative allelopathic effect was greater in lettuce and with the use of eucalyptus extract compared to the other donor species. In the analysis of the eucalyptus extract, 24 compounds were detected, the most representative of which were digitoxin (14.38%), hydrocortisone acetate (12.79%) and phloroglucinic acid (11.95%), while for the mint, 17 compounds were found, being the most representative of loxanol 95 (26.23%), retinal (19.41%) and creosol (15.21%). For the tansagem species, 14 compounds were identified, the most representative being hydrocortisone acetate (53.73%), retinal (18.04%) and cortisone (5.47%). The jack bean species had 12 compounds, the most prevalent being oleic acid (60.44%), palmitic acid (11.93%) and digitoxin (7.04%). This study revealed relevant bioactive compounds, which include glycoside agents, corticosteroids, phenolic compounds, among others, indicating that the four analyzed species are sources of bioactive compounds. The presence of these molecules is related to the demonstrated allelopathic potential, and thus, it is recommended that further studies be carried out for the isolation of compounds and toxicological studies. A crescente consciência sobre os problemas ambientais e de saúde pública, ligados ao uso excessivo de produtos agroquímicos, tem estimulado o interesse na busca de bioherbicidas. Diante disso, a alelopatia tem-se mostrado promissora pois muitas plantas são ricas em compostos biologicamente ativos que podem ser explorados para a produção de bioherbicidas. Nesse sentido, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito alelopático de diferentes concentrações (0; 1; 2,5; 5 e 10%) de extrato aquosos e hidroalcoólicos de eucalipto (Eucalyptus grandis), hortelã (Mentha spicata), tansagem (Plantago major) e feijão-de-porco (Canavalia ensiformis) na germinação e crescimento inicial de plântulas de alface (Lactuca sativa) e trigo (Triticum sp.), assim como analisar a presença de metabólitos secundários em extratos metanólicos das espécies. Para a obtenção dos extratos, 20 g de planta previamente desidratada e triturada foi homogeneizada em 100 mL de solvente, para a análise de germinação e crescimento, foram dispostas 25 sementes de cada espécie receptora em caixa gerbox com os extratos aquosos e hidroalcoólicos diluídos (0; 1; 2,5; 5 e 10%). O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, com três repetições por tratamento, sendo analisados a porcentagem de germinação, o índice de velocidade de germinação (IVG), o comprimento da radícula e da parte aérea. Para a análise fitoquímica, os extratos foram purificados e avaliados qualiquantitativamente utilizando cromatógrafo detector a gás com base no tempo de retenção na coluna. A utilização tanto de extratos aquosos como hidroalcoólicos das espécies testadas sobre a alface e o trigo apresentou redução nas variáveis analisadas e até mesmo inibição total da germinação nas maiores concentrações usadas. O efeito alelopático negativo foi maior na alface e com a utilização do extrato de eucalipto em comparação com as demais espécies doadoras. Na análise do extrato de eucalipto, foram detectados 24 compostos, sendo que os mais representativos foram a digitoxina (14,38%), acetato de hidrocortisona (12,79%) e ácido floroglucínico (11,95%), enquanto que para a hortelã, foram 17 compostos encontrados, sendo os mais abundantes o loxanol 95 (26,23%), retinal (19,41%) e creosol (15,21%). Para a espécie tansagem foram identificados 14 compostos, sendo os mais representativos o acetato de hidrocortisona (53,73%), o retinal (18,04%) e a cortisona (5,47%). A espécie feijão-de-porco apresentou 12 compostos, sendo os mais prevalentes o ácido oleico (60,44%), o ácido palmítico (11,93%) e a digitoxina (7,04%). Este estudo revelou compostos bioativos relevantes, que incluem agentes glicosídeos, corticosteroides, compostos fenólicos, entre outros, indicando que as quatro espécies analisadas são fontes de compostos bioativos. A presença dessas moléculas está relacionada ao potencial alelopático demonstrado, e assim, recomenda-se que mais estudos sejam realizados para isolamento de compostos e estudos toxicológicos.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES Introduction: Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood marked by physical and psychosocial changes, as well as conflicts related to uncertainties and insecurities. And in this sense, the school has a fundamental role in developing educational actions capable of covering this whirlwind of sensations and transformations. For this, it is necessary to approach contents, in a theoretical-practical way, that allow the student to identify problems, raise hypotheses, gather data, reflect on situations, discover and develop solutions committed to the promotion and protection of personal and collective health, and, mainly, apply the acquired knowledge. Objective: To outline a script of contents relevant to the topic of Women's Health, based on medical-scientific literature, which should be included in the teaching of science in high school. Methodology: The contents relevant to women's health were organized into thematic pillars: P1. anatomy of the female reproductive system; P2. histology of the female reproductive system; P3. physiology of the female reproductive system; P4. uterine, tubal, ovarian and breast pathologies; P5. family planning and contraceptive methods; P6. sexually transmitted infections; P7. gestation; P8. labor and delivery; P9. Puerperium and P10. childcare. The development of the sub-themes took place based on the use of active methodologies, specific according to the needs of each theme, after classes, for a group of thirty adolescent girls. A pre-test (PréT) with eleven open questions was applied in the first meeting and a post-test (Post-T) with sixty closed questions in the last meeting, to assess knowledge about women's health before and after the intervention, respectively. As well as, I asked them to build a portfolio during the meetings. Content analysis was used for qualitative data (portfolio); and descriptive analysis for the quantitative data. Results: The post-test revealed better performance in the pillars of family planning, childcare and contraceptive methods; and worse in the physiology of the female reproductive system. Adolescents showed great satisfaction in getting to know their own bodies better, in understanding the physiological changes of each period (menstrual cycle, pregnancy, puerperium, among others), in knowing and knowing how to differentiate the different contraceptive methods and adopting self-care and respect measures. to oneself and to others, according to the following categories of analysis: Approaching university and school; Differentiated methodologies and support material; Relation of contents with everyday life and Self-knowledge. Conclusions: It was observed that it is important to insert women's health content, based on medical-scientific literature, in the high school curriculum as a way of promoting health in the school environment, preventing future damage (health in general; STI; pregnancy unplanned; consequent school dropout, among others) arising from incorrect attitudes due to lack of information and/or dialogue with teachers, family members or health professionals on topics related to women's health. Therefore, the insertion of these contents can promote healthy lifestyle habits, including reproductive health, hygiene, nutrition, self-knowledge and self-care. Introdução: A adolescência é um período de transição da infância para a fase adulta marcado por transformações físicas e psicossociais, bem como por conflitos relacionados às incertezas e inseguranças. E nesse sentido a escola tem papel fundamental em desenvolver ações educativas capazes de abranger este turbilhão de sensações e transformações. Para isso, é necessária a abordagem de conteúdos, de maneira teórico-prática, que permitam ao aluno identificar problemas, levantar hipóteses, reunir dados, refletir sobre situações, descobrir e desenvolver soluções comprometidas com a promoção e a proteção da saúde pessoal e coletiva, e, principalmente, aplicar os conhecimentos adquiridos. Objetivo: Delinear um roteiro de conteúdos pertinentes ao tema Saúde da Mulher, baseados em literatura médico-científica, que deveriam ser inseridos no ensino de ciências no Ensino Médio. Metodologia: Os conteúdos pertinentes a saúde da mulher foram organizados em pilares temáticos: P1. anatomia do sistema reprodutor feminino; P2. histologia do sistema reprodutor feminino; P3. fisiologia do sistema reprodutor feminino; P4. patologias uterinas, tubárias, ovarianas e de mama; P5. planejamento familiar e métodos contraceptivos; P6. infecções sexualmente transmissíveis; P7. gestação; P8. trabalho de parto e parto; P9. Puerpério e P10. puericultura. O desenvolvimento dos subtemas ocorreram pautados no uso de metodologias ativas, específicas segundo a necessidade de cada tema, no contraturno das aulas, para um grupo de trinta meninas adolescentes. Foi aplicado um pré-teste (PréT) com onze perguntas abertas no primeiro encontro e um pós-teste (PósT) com sessenta perguntas fechadas no último encontro, para avaliar o conhecimento sobre saúde da mulher prévio e posterior a intervenção, respectivamente. Assim como, solicitado que construíssem um portfólio ao longo dos encontros. Utilizou-se análise de conteúdo para os dados qualitativos (portfólio); e análise descritiva para os dados quantitativos. Resultados: O pósteste revelou melhor desempenho nos pilares planejamento familiar, puericultura e métodos contraceptivos; e pior no pilar fisiologia do aparelho reprodutor feminino. Observou-se grande satisfação das adolescentes em conhecer melhor o próprio corpo, em compreender as modificações fisiológicas de cada período (ciclo menstrual, gestação, puerpério, entre outros), em conhecer e saber diferenciar os diferentes métodos contraceptivos e adotar medidas de autocuidado e respeito a si e ao próximo, segundo as seguintes categorias de análise: Aproximação universidade e escola; Metodologias diferenciadas e material de apoio; Relação dos conteúdos com o cotidiano e Autoconhecimento. Conclusões: Observou-se ser importante inserir conteúdos de saúde da mulher, baseados em literatura médico-científica, na grade curricular do ensino médio como forma de promover saúde no ambiente escolar, prevenir futuros danos (a saúde de uma forma geral; IST; gestação não planejada; consequente evasão escolar, dentre outros) oriundos de atitudes incorretas por falta de informação e/ou diálogo com professores, familiares ou profissionais da saúde sobre os temas referentes a saúde da mulher. Sendo assim a inserção desses conteúdos poderá promover hábitos de vida saudáveis, incluindo saúde reprodutiva, higiene, alimentação, autoconhecimento e autocuidado.

The lack of information about the existing relationship between the native field’s herbaceous vegetation and hydrological processes runs through the years, and makes it impossible to measure the impact that this change of the soil natural covering can cause in a river basin. Thus, this present paper had as general objective to evaluate the rain simulators as a method to determine the water retention by native and serrapilheira vegetation of Pampa Biome; and as specific objectives, contribute to the method of water retention determination by herbaceous vegetation: evaluate applicability of the rain simulator as a method to determine water retention by native and serrapilheira vegetation of the Pampa Biome; and estimate water intercepted by the air and root vegetation, using local rainwater data. The methodology used was the field research taken in Rosários do Sul town, in 2014, and in Caçapava do Sul, in 2021; where a rain simulator, structured samples of native field and soil vegetation, to the application of rain tests at 100 mm.h -1 , in order to determine the quantity of water that gets retained in herbaceous plants. From this, an estimation of water retention by vegetation during rainy events was made, from historical rainfall data. Numbers found were 13,2% retention to Rosário do Sul’s vegetation and 4,5% to Caçapava do Sul’s vegetation; showing an overall average of 8,9% of total rainfall incidence to this biome. The method used in this present paper showed itself as a favorable alternative for obtaining data on water retention by native field herbaceous vegetation, because, besides its limitations, numbers observed were similar to the ones found in literature. However, due to the uncertainties the method presents, especially to sensitivity to efficiently register a small portion of retained water; to the difficulty in obtaining samples with equal thickness, and to the association between root and air parts of the plant, it is necessary to hold methodological adjustments in order to increase the accuracy of data. A falta de informações sobre a relação existente entre a vegetação herbácea do campo nativo e os processos hidrológicos perpassa os anos, e torna impossível mensurar o grau de impacto que a alteração desta cobertura natural do solo pode provocar em uma bacia hidrográfica. Assim, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo geral avaliar o simulador de chuvas como metodologia para determinar a retenção de água pela vegetação nativa e serrapilheira do Bioma Pampa; e como objetivos específicos, contribuir para metodologia de determinação da retenção de água pela vegetação herbácea; avaliar a aplicabilidade do simulador de chuvas como método para determinar a retenção de água pela vegetação nativa e serrapilheira do Bioma Pampa; e estimar a água interceptada pela parte aérea e radicular da vegetação, utilizando-se de dados pluviométricos da região. A metodologia empregue foi a pesquisa de campo realizada nos municípios de Rosário do Sul, em 2014, e Caçapava do Sul, em 2021; onde utilizou-se de um simulador de chuvas, amostras estruturadas de vegetação de campo nativo e de solo, para a aplicação de testes de chuva a 100mm/h, visando determinar o quantitativo de água que fica retido nas plantas herbáceas. A partir disso, realizou-se a estimativa da retenção de água pela vegetação durante eventos chuvosos, por meio de dados históricos de precipitação. Encontrou-se valores estimados de retenção de 13,2% para a vegetação de Rosário do Sul e de 4,5% para a de Caçapava do Sul; apresentando uma média geral de 8,9% da precipitação total incidente neste bioma. O método utilizado no presente estudo mostrou-se como uma alternativa favorável para obtenção de dados de retenção de água pela vegetação herbácea do campo nativo, pois, apesar de suas limitações, os valores observados foram semelhantes aos encontrados na literatura. No entanto, devido às incertezas que o método apresenta, principalmente no que tange à sensibilidade para registrar eficientemente uma porção pequena de água retida; à dificuldade em obter-se amostras com espessuras uniformes, e pela associação entre a parte radicular e aérea das plantas, faz-se necessário realizar ajustes metodológicos a fim de aumentar a acurácia dos dados.

This research aims to analyze contexts explored by socioeconomic-financial situations in productions and textbooks of Countryside Education in the context of Mathematics Education. Therefore, a qualitative approach is adopted that follows the principles of content analysis, with the specific objectives of: mapping publications that take Countryside Education as their object in the annals of three editions of the National Meeting of Mathematics Education (ENEM); to characterize the PNLD Campo and the textbooks that compose it, identifying socioeconomic-financial situations in the everyday urban context, everyday peasant and interdisciplinary; to analyze activities that deal with socioeconomic and financial situations in six textbooks, intended for the 4º and 5º year of Elementary School, approved by PNLD Campo 2013 and PNLD Campo 2016. Among the results, it is evident that of the 49 works contained in the annals of ENEM, 10 productions emphasize contents of School Mathematics contextualized in everyday life, being that: four involve financial situations, as two address production and cost, one domestic and countryside economy, and one the idea of interest. In addition, two productions analyze books, but do not deal specifically with the PNLD Campo. When examining the Guide PNLD Campo 2013, the Guide PNLD Campo 2016 and the 4º and 5º year volumes of the “Projeto Buriti” (C1), “Campo Aberto” (C2) and “Novo Girassol” (C3) collections, C1 is classified as an integrated multidisciplinary series, while C2 and C3 are interdisciplinary series. In addition, C2 proposes articulation between the curricular components so that Mathematics is related to the Natural Sciences, in which both are physically presented together in all chapters, unlike C1 and C3, organized by curricular component. With regard to the socioeconomic-financial situations proposed in the six volumes, 21 prefixes identify 100 different activities, of which 49 belong to C1, 20 to C2 and 31 to C3. Through understandings about the context linked to interdisciplinarity, the urban daily life and the peasant daily life, it can be seen that the interdisciplinary context involves environmental themes, the historical evolution of numbers and currency changes; the everyday urban context, for the most part, emphasizes the recognition of banknotes and coins values and the calculation of the total cost in the acquisition of goods and services; everyday countryside context favor common rural practices such as raising chickens, selling food, values of rural areas and the use of money. Among the 100 activities analyzed, there are also contents of School Mathematics linked to the monetary system, with values belonging to the set of natural numbers, both to identify bills and to perform elementary operations, with or without the use of mental calculation strategies and estimated. Less frequently, activities involving rational numbers in decimal form are identified. In terms of representations, it appears that the statements of activities favor the use of natural language accompanied by numerical representations. In addition, there are some iconic representations such as, for example, tables, invoices, bank statements, advertising productions, bills and coins. Esta pesquisa objetiva analisar contextos explorados por situações socioeconômico-financeiras em produções e livros didáticos da Educação do Campo no âmbito da Educação Matemática. Para tanto, adota-se uma abordagem qualitativa que segue os princípios da análise de conteúdo, com os objetivos específicos de: mapear publicações que tomam como objeto a Educação do Campo nos anais de três edições do Encontro Nacional de Educação Matemática (ENEM); caracterizar o PNLD Campo e os livros didáticos que o compõe, identificando situações socioeconômico-financeiras no contexto cotidiano urbano, cotidiano campesino e interdisciplinar; analisar atividades que versam sobre situações socioeconômico-financeiras em seis livros didáticos, destinados ao 4º e 5º ano do Ensino Fundamental, aprovados pelo PNLD Campo 2013 e PNLD Campo 2016. Dentre os resultados evidencia-se que dos 49 trabalhos contidos nos anais do ENEM, 10 produções enfatizam conteúdos da Matemática Escolar contextualizados no cotidiano, sendo que: quatro envolvem situações financeiras, pois duas abordam produção e custo, uma economia doméstica e rural, e uma a ideia de juros. Além disso, duas produções analisam livros, mas não tratam especificamente do PNLD Campo. Ao apreciar o Guia do PNLD Campo 2013, o Guia do PNLD Campo 2016 e os volumes do 4º e 5º ano das coleções “Projeto Buriti” (C1), “Campo Aberto” (C2) e “Novo Girassol” (C3) observa-se que C1 é classificada como seriada multidisciplinar integrada, enquanto que C2 e C3 são do tipo seriada interdisciplinar. Além disso, C2 propõe articulação entre os componentes curriculares de modo que a Matemática se relaciona com as Ciências da Natureza, em que ambas são apresentadas fisicamente juntas em todos os capítulos, diferentemente de C1 e C3, organizadas por componente curricular. No que tange às situações socioeconômico-financeiras propostas nos seis volumes, identificam-se, por meio de 21 prefixos, 100 atividades distintas, das quais 49 pertencem à C1, 20 à C2 e 31 à C3. Por meio de entendimentos sobre contexto vinculado à interdisciplinaridade, ao cotidiano urbano e ao cotidiano campesino constata-se que o contexto interdisciplinar envolve temáticas ambientais, de evolução histórica dos números e de mudanças de moeda; o contexto cotiano urbano, em sua maioria, enfatiza o reconhecimento de valores de cédulas e moedas e o cálculo do custo total na aquisição de bens e serviços; contexto cotidiano campesino privilegiam práticas usuais do campo como criação de galinhas, comércio de alimentos, valores de áreas rurais e o uso do dinheiro. Dentre as 100 atividades analisadas, também, observam-se conteúdos da Matemática Escolar vinculados ao sistema monetário, com valores pertencentes ao conjunto dos números naturais, tanto para identificar cédulas quanto para realizar operações elementares, com ou sem o uso de estratégias de cálculo mental e estimativa. Com menor frequência, identificam-se atividades envolvendo números racionais na forma decimal. Em termos de representações, constata-se que os enunciados das atividades privilegiam o emprego da língua natural acompanhada de representações numéricas. Além disso, localizam-se algumas representações icônicas como, por exemplo, tabelas, notas fiscais, extratos bancários, produções publicitárias, cédulas e moedas.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES The Science curricular component taught during elementary school, requires an interdisciplinary practice from educators, since it comprises several branches of Natural Sciences. Faced with such possibilities and needs, during the training period, graduates are challenged, based on a curricular matrix, to establish an integration between the knowledge of Science to make it contextualized. When looking back at Science teachers, it is possible to see that there are professionals with different qualifications working in the classroom, more specifically graduates in the area of Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, due to their proximity to the area of Natural Sciences. Different formations sometimes provide certain insecurity to teachers when transposing certain contents, both theoretical and practical, especially when there are approximations with other disciplines within the same area. Such insecurities are associated with the need for an articulated initial training that provides support for future teachers to develop their professional practice in science teaching in elementary school. In this context, the objective of this work was to investigate the professional practice and the training path of teachers, with a Degree in Natural Sciences, its consequences, and implications for teaching and learning, in elementary education, in the curricular component of Science. A bibliographic review was carried out on the subject and qualitative research was carried out, in which the data analysis was based on Content Analysis. The instrument used was an online questionnaire. Ten science teachers who work in the elementary school participated in the study, in the Northwest region, of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. From this research, it was possible to perceive and relate the views and reflections of Science teachers in practice with their training and professional practice. It is noticed that, even with some professional obstacles, the teachers seek to develop teaching consistent with the current educational parameters. Among the obstacles, we can highlight their initial training process, specifically the curriculum, which, at times, was unrelated to the professional realities encountered. It is concluded that there are structural gaps in the training of Science teachers and these are reflected in teaching praxis. O componente curricular Ciências, ministrado durante o ensino fundamental, exige dos educadores uma prática interdisciplinar, uma vez que compreende diversos ramos das Ciências da Natureza. Diante de tais possibilidades e necessidades, durante o período formativo, os licenciados são desafiados, a partir de uma matriz curricular, a estabelecer uma integração entre os conhecimentos de Ciências, no intuito de torná-la contextualizada. Ao voltar o olhar para os professores de Ciências, é possível perceber que há profissionais com diferentes habilitações atuando em sala de aula, mais especificamente graduados na área de Biologia, Física e Química, devido à proximidade com a área das Ciências Naturais. Diferentes formações proporcionam, por vezes, certa insegurança aos docentes no momento de transposição de certos conteúdos, tanto teóricos quanto práticos, principalmente quando há aproximações com outras disciplinas dentro da mesma área. Tais inseguranças estão associadas com a necessidade de uma formação inicial articulada que dê respaldo para os futuros docentes desenvolverem seu exercício profissional no ensino de Ciências no ensino fundamental. Neste contexto, o objetivo deste trabalho foi investigar o exercício profissional e o percurso formativo de professores, com Licenciatura nas Ciências da Natureza, seus desdobramentos e implicações no ensino e aprendizagem, do ensino fundamental, no componente curricular de Ciências. Foi realizado uma revisão bibliográfica sobre a temática e uma pesquisa de caráter qualitativo, em que a análise de dados foi baseada na Análise de Conteúdo. O instrumento utilizado foi um questionário on-line. Participaram do estudo dez professoras de Ciências que atuam no ensino fundamental, na região Noroeste, no estado do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil. A partir desta pesquisa foi possível perceber e relacionar visões e reflexões de professoras de Ciências em exercício com o seu percurso formativo e exercício profissional. Percebe-se que, mesmo com alguns entraves profissionais, as professoras buscam desenvolver um ensino condizente com os parâmetros educacionais vigentes. Dentre os entraves, podemos destacar o seu processo de formação inicial, mais especificamente o currículo que, por vezes, não se mostrou relacionado com as realidades profissionais encontradas. Conclui-se que existem lacunas estruturais na formação de professores de Ciências e estas refletem na práxis docentes.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES Chemistry is perceived, by students, as a highly complex and difficult subject, which demands a great degree of abstraction in some of its contents. Such impasses often result in difficulty in understanding some concepts, leading to demotivation, disinterest and learning issues. Considered by students as one of most complicated contents in high school, organic chemistry has the responsibility of amplifying the students’ perspective towards life, the planet and its existing components, such as food, clothes, medicines, transportation and cosmetics. Cosmetics are utilized by the majority of global population and, as such, can be easily found in our daily life, becoming an accessible example of products that are directly associated to different scientific concepts approached in high school chemistry. Given that fact, the present research aims to promote a wider knowledge on the subject “cosmetics” through workshops on handmade cosmetics. Beyond that, the workshop aims to provide students with an alternative source of income, considering that the skills learned can be reproduced in their own houses and commercialized afterwards. The workshops were developed with senior high school students in the following schools: Escola Estadual de Educação Básica Prof.ª Margarida Lopes, Instituto Estadual de Educação João Neves da Fontoura and Instituto Estadual Couto de Magalhães, located respectively in Santa Maria/RS, Cachoeira do Sul/RS and Arroio dos Ratos/RS. These activities were performed in the following months: September and October of 2019 and May and June of 2022, during the afternoon in the schools’ science labs. The target audience were a total of 21 students between 16 and 19 years old. The activities could be classified as thematic workshops, as according to Marcondes et al. (2007), in thematic workshops the activities are based on experiments, interconnected from a generator topic. Six different activities were performed and carried out the following themes: (1) Developing soap; (2) Developing liquid soap; (3) Developing shampoo; (4) Developing hand-moisturizing cream; (5) Developing air freshener and fragrant sachets; (6) Toothpaste substance analysis, the latter being conducted only in 2019. The students were incited to perform the activities and later discuss and comment their learnings, attempting to relate them to classroom chemistry. Through the workshops, there was a noticeable relevant learning on the part of the students, because they were highly interested by the artisanship of the cosmetics and so they could relate the workshop topics with chemistry and their daily life. The workshops provide a connection between theoretical chemistry and real attainable work that may become a source of income to the students. In that sense, it is of great importance to approach day-to-day topics in classroom, once this connection instigate the students to seek knowledge and become more critic and active members of society A química é tida pelos estudantes como uma disciplina de alta complexidade e dificuldade, além de necessitar de um nível de abstração bem amplo em determinados conteúdos. Estes impasses acarretam na dificuldade de compreensão de alguns conceitos, provocando desmotivação, desinteresse e problemas de aprendizagem nos alunos. Considerada um dos conteúdos mais complicado pelos educandos do ensino médio, a química orgânica tem a responsabilidade de proporcionar ao estudante uma ampla percepção da vida, do planeta e dos compostos existentes, como alimentação, vestuário, medicamentos, transportes e cosméticos. Utilizados pela maioria da população mundial, os cosméticos são encontrados em nosso cotidiano, tornando-se um exemplo significativo de produto diretamente associado a diferentes conceitos científicos abordados na disciplina de química do ensino médio. Diante disso, a presente pesquisa visa promover um maior conhecimento sobre a temática “Cosméticos”, a partir da realização de oficinas de fabricação de cosméticos. Além disso, busca mostrar aos estudantes uma alternativa de fonte de renda, visto que as atividades preparadas neste trabalho podem ser realizadas pelos alunos em suas residências e, após o processo, os produtos poderão ser comercializados. As práticas foram realizadas com estudantes de 3º ano do ensino médio de três escolas: Escola Estadual de Educação Básica Prof.ª Margarida Lopes, Instituto Estadual de Educação João Neves da Fontoura e Instituto Estadual Couto de Magalhães. Essas instituições estão localizadas nos municípios de Santa Maria/RS, Cachoeira do Sul/RS e Arroio dos Ratos/RS, respectivamente. As atividades foram realizadas nos meses de setembro e outubro de 2019 e nos meses de maio e junho de 2022, pelo turno da tarde, no laboratório de ciências das escolas. O público-alvo total foi de 21 estudantes, com faixa etária entre 16 e 19 anos. Estas atividades podem ser classificadas como oficinas temáticas. De acordo com Marcondes et al. (2007), nas oficinas temáticas, as práticas são baseadas em experimentos, interligadas a partir de um tema gerador. Foram realizadas seis atividades diferentes, que abrangiam os seguintes temas: (1) Desenvolvendo Sabonete; (2) Desenvolvendo Sabonete Líquido; (3) Desenvolvendo Xampu; (4) Desenvolvendo Creme Hidratante de Mãos; (5) Desenvolvendo Difusor de Ambientes e Sachês Perfumados; (6) Análise de Substâncias presentes em cremes dentais, esta última sendo aplicada somente em 2019. Os estudantes eram instigados a realizar os processos e, posteriormente, a discutir e comentar sobre o que aprenderam, tentando relacionar esses conhecimentos com a química abordada em sala de aula. A partir da realização das atividades, pode-se notar um aprendizado muito relevante por parte dos educandos: a cada oficina, eles se interessavam mais pela fabricação dos cosméticos artesanais e conseguiam correlacionar todos os tópicos abordados com a química e com o seu dia a dia. As oficinas proporcionam um meio de ligação entre a química teórica e algo real, que pode tornar-se, futuramente, uma fonte de renda para os estudantes. Nesse sentido, nota-se a grande importância de abordar tópicos do cotidiano dos alunos em sala de aula. Isso os instiga a buscar mais aprendizados e conhecimentos, tornando-se mais ativos e críticos na sociedade em que vivem.

All water intended for human consumption must meet pre-established potability standards, and must be free from any impurity or pathogenic organism. In view of this, to guarantee the required potability standards, it is often necessary to carry out a series of treatment steps. Usually, to perform water treatment, chemicals are used, such as aluminum sulfate and ferric chloride, however, the residuals of these elements are related to neurodegenerative diseases, as well as implying damage to the environment. In view of this, an alternative is the use of organic cationic polymers to replace the chemical products used. Cellulose is one of the most important natural polymers, being the most abundant polysaccharide in nature. However, to use it as a cationic polyelectrolyte it is necessary to make changes in its structure. One of the most used reagents for the production of cellulose cations is 3-chloro-2- hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride (CHPTAC). In view of this, the present work sought the production of a cationic polyelectrolyte derived from cellulose, through the cationization process, through the use of the CHPTAC reagent, and its application in the treatment of water, in different pH ranges. The treatment system was simulated using the Jartest equipment, followed by filtration with filter paper. With the study it was concluded that the cationization of cellulose resulted in a degree of substitution of 0.02. And its use as a flocculant resulted in removals of up to 99% for turbidity and 99.6% for color, at pH 3, and a flocculant dosage of 100 mg/L. In the other pH ranges tested (4, 5, 6, 7 and 8) the removals ranged from 66.2 to 97% for color and 88.6 to 97.3% for turbidity, respectively. Thus, the use of cellulosic derivatives are promising alternatives to replace the inorganic coagulants usually used. Toda água destinada para consumo humano deve atender padrões de potabilidade pré estabelecidos, devendo estar isenta de qualquer impureza ou organismo patógeno. Frente a isso, para garantir os padrões de potabilidade exigidos, muitas vezes se faz necessário realizar uma série de etapas de tratamento. Usualmente, para realizar o tratamento da água, são utilizados produtos químicos, como sulfato de alumínio e cloreto férrico, no entanto, os residuais desses elementos estão relacionados a doenças neurodegenerativas, bem como, implicam em danos ao meio ambiente. Frente a isso, uma alternativa é a utilização de polímeros catiônicos orgânicos em substituição aos produtos químicos utilizados. A celulose é um dos mais importantes polímeros naturais, sendo o polissacarídeo mais abundante na natureza. Contudo, para utiliza-la como polieletrólito catiônico é necessário realizar modificações na sua estrutura. Um dos reagentes mais utilizados para produção de catiônicos da celulose é o cloreto de 3-cloro-2-hidroxipropiltrimetilamônio (CHPTAC). Frente a isto, o presente trabalho buscou a produção de um polieletrólito catiônico derivado da celulose, por meio do processo de cationização, através da utilização do reagente CHPTAC, e aplicação deste no tratamento de água, em diferentes faixas de pH. O sistema de tratamento foi simulado através do equipamento Jartest, seguido de filtração com papel filtro. Com o estudo concluiu-se que a cationização da celulose resultou em grau de substituição de 0,02. E a utilização desta como floculante, resultou em remoções de até 99% para turbidez e 99,6% para cor, em pH 3, e dosagem de floculante de 100 mg/L. Nas demais faixas de pH testadas (4, 5, 6, 7 e 8) as remoções variaram de 66,2 a 97% para cor e 88,6 a 97,3% para turbidez, respectivamente. Com isso, a utilização dos derivados celulósicos se mostram alternativas promissoras na substituição aos coagulantes inorgânicos usualmente utilizados.

Active learning methodologies, in which students are protagonists of the process of building their own knowledge, are essential to autonomous intellectual development. Among the methodological trends, there is the Problem Based Learning (PBL), originally, Problem Based Learning (PBL), widely spread in Higher Education for the positive results, but still little investigated in Basic Education in Brazil. The research developed sought to investigate how it happens and what are the limits and potentialities of the development of classes from the methodology of ABP, through Thematic in Science Teaching and sought to answer the following research problem "What are the limits and potentialities of the development of classes based on the PBL methodology, through the use of themes, in the development of activities in Science/Chemistry Teaching?". The study took place with a group of distinct subjects, from students and teachers of Basic Education, to academics of Nature Sciences courses. The research was based on the development of dynamics through activities based on the foundations of PBL, on themes focusing on the daily context, in which the transformation phenomena of material systems are perceived. In this sense, the research started from a sample of data collected with eight teachers in initial and continuing education and had its sequence with students, academics and teachers in a public high school in São Sepé (RS), totaling 308 participants, that provided data about the creation and evaluation of problem situations through the 3C3R method, using the nine steps by Hung, in addition to the three moments adopted in the stage of solving the problems elaborated by the researcher professor. Still, in order to validate the research, a systematic bibliographic survey on PBL was carried out, raising data from 12 papers published in the minutes of ENPECs and in 14 articles, from six journals of Science Teaching, published in the last decade. From the data collected, during the trajectory of the research, it is believed that the investigations on the development of PBL in Basic Education, provide subsidies to encourage teachers to new experiences with active learning methodologies, promoting the development of understanding of science, through the use of contextualized themes. Through this thesis, it is noticed that the use of active methodologies such as PBL, are still little explored in the initial and continuing education of teachers, especially in the area of science education, also having as limitation, the low academic production around the methodology. However, it is argued that the methodological proposal brings light to constructivist teaching, through research as a way of building knowledge, based on the challenge of seeking solutions to the problems developed and presented by the teacher and also by the socialization of the answers found by the students, which favors the teaching of science. As metodologias de aprendizagem ativas, nas quais os estudantes são protagonistas do processo de construção do próprio conhecimento, são essenciais ao desenvolvimento intelectual autônomo. Entre as tendências metodológicas, existe a Aprendizagem Baseada em Problemas (ABP), originalmente, Problem Based Learning (PBL), bastante difundida na Educação Superior pelos resultados positivos, mas pouco investigada, ainda, na Educação Básica, no Brasil. A pesquisa desenvolvida buscou investigar como acontece e quais são os limites e potencialidades do desenvolvimento de aulas a partir da metodologia da ABP, por meio de Temáticas no Ensino de Ciências e buscou responder o seguinte problema de pesquisa “Quais são os limites e potencialidades do desenvolvimento de aulas baseadas na metodologia da ABP, por meio do uso de temáticas, no desenvolvimento de atividades no Ensino de Ciências/Química?”. O estudo se deu, com um grupo de sujeitos distintos, desde estudantes e professores da Educação Básica, até acadêmicos de cursos de Ciências da Natureza. A investigação baseou-se na elaboração de dinâmicas por meio de atividades baseadas nos fundamentos da ABP, em temas com enfoque no contexto cotidiano, nos quais percebem-se os fenômenos de transformação dos sistemas materiais. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa partiu de uma amostra de dados coletada com oito professores em formação inicial e continuada e teve sua sequência com estudantes, acadêmicos e professores em uma escola pública de Ensino Médio de São Sepé (RS), totalizando 308 participantes, que forneceram dados acerca da criação e avaliação de situações-problema por meio do método 3C3R, utilizando os nove passos por Hung, além dos três momentos adotados na etapa de resolução dos problemas elaborados pelo professor pesquisador. Ainda, a fim de validar a pesquisa, realizou-se um levantamento sistemático bibliográfico sobre a ABP, levantando-se dados de 12 trabalhos publicados nas atas dos ENPECs e em 14 artigos, de seis periódicos de Ensino de Ciências, publicados na última década. A partir dos dados coletados, durante a trajetória da pesquisa, acredita-se que as investigações sobre o desenvolvimento da ABP no Ensino Básico, fornecem subsídios para incentivar os docentes à novas experiências com metodologias de aprendizagem ativas, como a ABP, promovendo o desenvolvimento da compreensão da Ciência, através do uso de temáticas contextualizadas. Através desta tese, percebe-se que o uso de metodologias ativas como a ABP, ainda são pouco exploradas na formação inicial e continuada de professores, muito especialmente na área de ensino de ciências, tendo também como limitação, a baixa produção acadêmica em torno da metodologia. Entretanto, defende-se que a proposta metodológica traz luz ao ensino construtivista, por meio da pesquisa como forma da construção do conhecimento, baseada no desafio em buscar soluções aos problemas elaborados e apresentados pelo professor e também pela socialização das respostas encontradas pelos estudantes, o que favorece o ensino de ciências.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES This study meets the needs of initial teacher training regarding the implications of interdisciplinary and contextualized teaching and learning practices, with the use of active methodologies. In view of this, a virtual extension course was prepared for academics of the degree courses in Natural Sciences and similar, with a view to providing the union of theory with practice. Thus, in this thesis, it was investigated how the teacher in initial training plans a class with experimental activities and interdisciplinary and contextualized exercises, associated with the active methodology Peer Review (MARP). 29 undergraduates from several federal universities in Brazil participated in the course, offered in November and December 2021. The research is exploratory, with a qualitative approach, as it encompasses a systematic literature review, bibliographic, documentary and content analysis, and quantitative with reliability statistics. The practical activities took place in a virtual way with the purpose of awakening knowledge and doing, through didactic planning with interdisciplinary and contextualized activities, using the MARP. There were seven synchronous meetings and asynchronous moments where we sought to link Science teaching with MARP, using technological resources and tools. It was identified the difficulty and challenges of undergraduates in developing a didactic plan, due to the lack of knowledge. However, it was found that MARP was a fundamental driver for the understanding of didactic planning, as well as for leveraging the importance of didactic activities through interdisciplinary and contextualized exercises and experimental activities, offering a new vision to the teacher in training. In this sense, the results point to the need for new approaches to be inserted in teacher training, to build a new path to overcome existing gaps. It is expected that the results obtained in this thesis will contribute to the initial training of teachers, awakening new perspectives and reflections on didactic planning with proposals for interdisciplinary and contextualized exercises and experimental activities. As well as, for the awakening of the use of active methodologies for teaching and learning, and the valorization of the conceptual, procedural, and attitudinal contents, essential for the teaching of Science Este estudo vem ao encontro às necessidades de formação inicial de professores quanto às implicações das práticas de ensino e aprendizagem interdisciplinares e contextualizadas, com a utilização de metodologias ativas. À vista disso, foi elaborado um curso de extensão virtual para acadêmicos dos cursos de licenciaturas da área das Ciências da Natureza e afins, com vista a proporcionar a união da teoria com a prática. Desta forma, na presente tese, investigou-se como o professor em formação inicial planeja uma aula com atividades experimentais e exercícios interdisciplinares e contextualizados, associados a metodologia ativa Revisão por Pares (MARP). Participaram do curso 29 licenciandos de diversas universidades federais do Brasil, oferecido nos meses de novembro e dezembro de 2021. A pesquisa é aplicada do tipo exploratória, com abordagem qualitativa por abarcar revisão sistemática da literatura, levantamentos bibliográficos, documental e análise de conteúdo; e quantitativa com estatísticas de confiabilidade. As atividades práticas ocorreram de forma virtual com a finalidade de despertar o saber e o fazer, através de planejamentos didáticos com atividades interdisciplinares e contextualizadas, com o uso da MARP. Foram sete encontros síncronos e momentos assíncronos onde buscou-se atrelar o ensino de Ciências com a MARP, utilizando recursos e ferramentas tecnológicas. Identificou-se a dificuldade e os desafios dos licenciandos em elaborar um planejamento didático, pela falta de conhecimento. Contudo, verificou-se que a MARP foi uma propulsora fundamental para o entendimento do planejamento didático, bem como para alavancar a importância de atividades didáticas por meio de exercícios e atividades experimentais interdisciplinares e contextualizadas; oferecendo uma nova visão ao docente em formação. Neste sentido, os resultados apontam o quanto é importante que novas abordagens e estratégias de ensino sejam inseridas na formação docente, a fim de que se construa um novo caminho para superar lacunas existentes. Espera-se que os resultados obtidos nesta tese contribuam com a formação inicial de professores, despertando novos olhares e reflexões acerca dos planejamentos didáticos com propostas de exercícios e atividades experimentais interdisciplinares e contextualizados. Assim como, para o despertar do uso de metodologias ativas para o ensino e aprendizagem, e a valorização dos conteúdos conceituais, procedimentais e atitudinais, primordiais para o ensino de Ciências.

This dissertation describes the paths of research to elaborate an investigation that involves teaching education to math teachers in initial teacher education and continuing professional development in the Pedagogical teaching training Program at UFSM, between the years 2020 and 2021. It is based on the assumptions that critical and reflexive competencies of a teacher regarding its practice are competencies obtained dynamically and built from its improvements and setbacks related to its initial perceptions. This research is sustained by theoretical assumptions such as Critical Meaningful Learning Theory, supported by Critical Mathematics Education as Philosophy that feed into the teaching and learning processes. Based on these studies, the purpose is to investigate elements that indicate criticality in teachers´ perceptions engaged in initial teacher education and continuing professional development workshops offered during the Pedagogical teaching training Program at UFSM, in 2020. Therefore, it presents exploratory research, and it comprises mixed methods and a descriptive and qualitative approach to interpreting the data collected. This research presents three main phases: 1) selection of bibliographical studies; 2) documentary data collection through workshops and interviews; 3) analysis of the data collected. In this way, based on the systematic review of literature, three possible indicators of criticalness were created to guide the practices of teaching mathematics in a critical perspective: IC - 1: to understand the processes of teaching and learning; IC-2. to conceive the student as an active agent in the teaching and learning processes; IC - 3: to understand the teacher as a professional as well as his development. In addition, after selecting the data, the analysis of the indicators was carried out using Content Analysis (BARDIN, 2011), with a focus on the discourses of the participants in the collaborative activities proposed during the workshops. Criticality indicators showed some convergent aspects between teacher education and the theory of critical meaningful learning, such as meaningful learning, prior knowledge, and knowledge sharing. According to the perceptions identified, the results indicate that there is no criticality in teaching Mathematics, based on the case studied when teachers do not identify themselves as teaching professionals and because the participants could not define teaching and learning. As a consequence, this implies not identifying the student as an active agent at the center of the teaching process, since for the promotion of critical meaningful learning to take place, it is necessary to consider the student's previous knowledge and give him/her an active place in this process. Esta pesquisa de doutorado descreve o caminho delineado para elaborar uma proposta de investigação que envolve a formação inicial e continuada de professores de Matemática que participam do Programa Residência Pedagógica (PRP) na UFSM, entre os anos de 2020 e 2021. Parte-se do pressuposto que a capacidade crítica e reflexiva do professor baseia-se em torno de sua própria prática e é uma competência adquirida de forma dinâmica, e construída a partir de avanços e/ou retrocessos em torno de suas percepções iniciais. Como referenciais teóricos utilizamos a Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa Crítica, amparada pela Educação Matemática Crítica como Filosofia para permear os processos do ensino e da aprendizagem. Com base nesses pressupostos, apresenta-se como objetivo geral: investigar elementos indicadores de criticidade nas percepções dos professores em formação inicial e continuada nas oficinas do PRP-Matemática da UFSM, em 2020. Para tanto, trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória e adota métodos mistos, e uma abordagem qualitativa e descritiva para interpretar os dados coletados. Na presente pesquisa, desenvolvemos três fases principais: 1) seleção dos dados bibliográficos; 2) coleta de dados documentais por meio de oficinas e entrevistas e 3) análise dos dados coletados. Desse modo, logo após a revisão de literatura, foram criados três possíveis indicadores de criticidade para orientar as práticas no ensino de matemática na perspectiva crítica: IC – 1: entender sobre os processos de ensino e aprendizagem; IC – 2: conceber o aluno como agente ativo no centro do ensino e da aprendizagem; IC – 3: compreender a caracterização do profissional docente e seu desenvolvimento profissional. Após selecionados os dados, a análise dos indicadores foi realizada utilizando a Análise de Conteúdo (BARDIN, 2011), mediante o discurso apresentado pelos participantes, nas produções colaborativas durante a formação. Os indicadores de criticidade apresentaram alguns aspectos convergentes entre a formação de professores e a teoria da aprendizagem significativa crítica, tais como aprendizagem significativa, conhecimentos prévios e compartilhamento de conhecimentos. Conforme as percepções identificadas, os resultados indicam que não há criticidade no ensino de Matemática, a partir do caso estudado, quando professores não se identificam como profissionais docentes e quando não conseguem definir ensino e aprendizagem. Isto implica em não identificar o aluno como agente importante no centro do processo de ensino, visto que para que a promoção de uma aprendizagem significativa critica aconteça, é necessário considerar os conhecimentos prévios do aluno e dar a ele lugar ativo nesse processo.

The largest source of lignin currently available is the residue from the pulp/paper manufacturing process. Kraft lignins are weakly anionic, low molecular weight polymers of limited utility without modification. Cationic lignin has advantages that reside in its wide range of applications, and can be used in the treatment of effluents. Derivatization is a usual strategy to improve its surfactant property. Organic polymers of plant origin represent an important alternative for replacement or use in conjunction with conventional coagulants/flocculants. In this study, lignin was purified from black liquor, as well as lignin extraction from Pinus taeda and Eucalyptus grandis woods using the Klason method. The derivatization process for cationization was carried out with 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride in a pH 12 medium, under stirring for 1.5 hours at a temperature of 60ºC. Purification of the solid reaction product was carried out after pH neutralization, washing with water and vacuum filtration. The degree of substitution (DS) that occurred by the grafting of quaternary ammonium groups on lignin monomers was characterized, as well as the DS by the chloride content. Subsequently, the performance of the synthesized polymers as flocculants for the treatment of leached effluent from a sanitary landfill was evaluated. The kraft and Klason lignins from Pinus taeda and Eucalypitus grandis showed satisfactory DS in relation to the nitrogen graft in the samples, in the order of 0.31; 0.31 and 0.34, respectively. The DS calculated as a function of the chloride content proved to be an indicator of low precision and experimental reliability for the method used. The landfill leachate was characterized as recent, with high color, medium metal content and important biodegradability. The lignins cationized from Pinus taeda and Eucalypitus grandis showed low potential for color removal after cationization, in addition to providing turbidity to the effluent. For the conditions of this study, aluminum sulfate, Tanfloc SG and Lignin kraft cationic (LKC), in that order, showed the best performances. The best dosages followed by the percentages of color removal and turbidity, respectively, were: aluminum sulfate 1000 mg.L1 , 95% and 94%; Tanfloc SG 1000 mg.L-1 , 83% and 81% and LKC 640 mg.L-1 , 50% and 70%. LKC proved to be a promising organic flocculant for the treatment of wastewater. A maior fonte de lignina atualmente disponível é o resíduo do processo de fabricação de papel/celulose. Ligninas kraft são fracamente aniônicas, de baixo peso molecular, sendo polímeros de utilidade limitada sem modificações. A lignina catiônica apresenta vantagens que residem em sua ampla gama de aplicações, podendo ser empregada no tratamento de efluentes. A derivatização é uma estratégia usual para melhorar sua propriedade surfactante. Polímeros orgânicos de origem vegetal representam uma alternativa importante para substituição ou uso em conjunto com os coagulantes/floculantes convencionais. Neste estudo, procedeu-se a purificação da lignina a partir do licor negro, bem como a extração de lignina a partir das madeiras de Pinus taeda e Eucalyptus grandis pelo método de Klason. O processo de derivatização para cationização foi realizado com cloreto de 3-cloro-2- hidroxipropiltrimetilamônio em meio pH 12, sob agitação por 1,5 horas e temperatura de 60ºC. A purificação do produto sólido da reação foi realizada após neutralização do pH, lavagem com água e filtração à vácuo. Caracterizou-se o grau de substituição (DS) que se deu pelo enxerto de grupos amônio quaternário nos monômeros de lignina, bem como o DS pelo teor de cloreto. Posteriormente, avaliou-se o desempenho dos polímeros sintetizados como floculantes para o tratamento de efluente lixiviado de aterro sanitário. As ligninas kraft e Klason de Pinus taeda e Eucalypitus grandis apresentaram DS satisfatório em relação ao enxerto de nitrogênio nas amostras, da ordem de 0,31; 0,31 e 0,34, respectivamente. O DS calculado em função do teor de cloreto demonstrou-se um indicador de baixa precisão e confiabilidade experimental para o método empregado. As ligninas cationizadas a partir de Pinus taeda e Eucalypitus grandis apresentaram baixo potencial para remoção de cor após a cationização, além de conferirem turbidez ao efluente. Para as condições deste estudo, sulfato de alumínio, Tanfloc SG e a Lignina kraft catiônica (LKC), nesta ordem, demontraram os melhores desempenhos. As melhores dosagens seguidas dos percentuais de remoção de cor e turbidez, respectivamente, foram: sulfato de alumínio 1000 mg.L-1 , 95% e 94%; Tanfloc SG 1000 mg.L-1 , 83% e 81% e LKC 640 mg.L-1 , 50% e 70%. LKC demonstrou ser um floculante orgânico promissor para o tratamento de águas residuárias.

Integrated high school education seeks to overcome educational du ality and curricular fragmentation, by merging professional and introductory education in a single course, offered by the Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia (IFs), and materialized by the integrated curriculum. However, its implementatio n in practice has , not been an easy task, due to the crossing of political, legal, institutional, organizational and pedagogical factors, which has led to the emergence of methodological alternatives, such as the Prática Profissional Integrada (PPI), approv ed by the Instituto Federal Farroupilha (IFFar), since 2013, as part of the curriculum organization of all its integrated technical courses. However, despite being an institutional practice, it has not yet become, uniformly, institutionalized in the daily routine of the classroom. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the necessary and sufficient conditions for the practical development of Prática Profissional Integrada as an institutionalized methodological possibility within the IFFar, having t he São Vicente do Sul Campus as the locus of the research, and its teachers and students as subjects. In its methodological path, the principles of qualitative research were adopted, of the researchaction type, with dialectical historical materialism as a n investigative reference. Initially, a diagnosis was made through the study of institutional documents and the application of semistructured interviews with a group of five teachers, in which the data were analyzed based on content analysis, resulting in manuscript I. Subsequently, the cycles of planning, a , the ction and evaluation were developed, in which the data collection of the first two cycles was supported by participant observation and field diary, while the evaluation cycle was guided by the Likert sc ale questionnaire, with the return of 32 teachers and 204 students from the four integrated technical courses, being analyzed with the support of descriptive statistics and content analysis, composing the manuscript II. The results point to an expansion of the conceptualization when the integration of subjects with the world of work emerges, but, at the same tim to a superficiality and a distancing, when not dealing with the principles of integrated high school education, and to an operationalization mark ed by difficulties related to the disintegration of the administrative wh outweighsdidacticpedagogical organization and to the presence of disciplinarity, eigh the advances. In such a way, it is concluded that for the PPI to become an institutionalized peda gogical practice in the everyday classroom needs to integrate and pursue the epistemological, methodolo , logical, o , gical and pedagogical clues in a rdered and coherent way, thus permeating its formative, structural, organizational, didactic and pedagogical n ature. O ensino médio integrado busca superar a dualidade educacional e a fragmentação curricular, por meio da fusão da educação profissional com o ensino propedêutico, num só curso e com matrícula única, ofertado pelos Institutos Federais de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia (IFs), e materializado pelo currículo integrado. No entanto, sua efetivação, na prática, não tem sido tarefa fácil, pelo atravessamento de fatores políticos, legais, institucionais, organizacionais e pedagógicos, o que tem provocado o surgimento de alternativas metodológicas, como é o caso da Prática Profissional Integrada (PPI), aprovada pelo Instituto Federal Farroupilha (IFFar), desde 2013, como parte da organização curricular de todos os seus cursos técnicos integrados. Porém, apesar de ser uma prática institucional, ainda não se tornou, uniformemente, efetiva no cotidiano da sala de aula. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar os requisitos necessários ao desenvolvimento prático da Prática Profissional Integrada enquanto possibilidade metodológica no âmbito do IFFar, tendo o Campus São Vicente do Sul como lócus da pesquisa, e seus professores e estudantes como sujeitos. Em seu percurso metodológico, adotaram-se os princípios da pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo pesquisa-ação, tendo como referencial investigativo o materialismo histórico dialético. Inicialmente, realizou-se um diagnóstico, por meio do estudo de documentos institucionais e da aplicação de entrevista semiestruturada com um grupo de cinco professores, em que os dados foram analisados com base na análise de conteúdo, resultando no manuscrito I. Posteriormente, foram desenvolvidos os ciclos de planejamento, a ação e a avaliação, nos quais, a coleta dos dados dos dois primeiros ciclos foi sustentada pela observação participante e pelo diário de campo, ao passo que a do ciclo de avaliação foi guiada pelo questionário na escala Likert, com o retorno de 32 professores e 204 estudantes dos quatro cursos técnicos integrados, sendo analisados com subsídios da estatística descritiva e da análise de conteúdo, compondo o manuscrito II. Os resultados apontam para uma ampliação da conceituação ao emergir a integração dos sujeitos, além das disciplinas, com o mundo do trabalho, mas, ao mesmo tempo, para uma superficialidade e um distanciamento, ao não tratar dos princípios do ensino médio integrado, e para uma operacionalização marcada por dificuldades relacionadas à desintegração da organização administrativa-didático-pedagógica e à presença da disciplinaridade, as quais sobressaem aos avanços. Conclui-se, portanto, que para que a PPI se torne uma prática pedagógica no cotidiano de sala de aula precisa integralizar e perseguir as pistas epistemológicas, metodológicas e pedagógicas de forma lógica, ordenada e coerente, perpassando, assim, a sua natureza formativa, estrutural, organizacional, didática e pedagógica.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES Practice as a curricular component (PCC) is a component introduced in the workload of teacher training courses with the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCN) in 2002, aiming to promote the articulation between the practical and theoretical dimensions of teacher training. On the other hand, we recognize that the Biochemistry component involves complex and abstract concepts that can be difficult to learn both in undergraduate and basic education. Thus, we aimed to investigate the context of PCC in teacher training undergraduate courses in Biology and in Chemistry from three public brazilian institutions, as well as, (i) to describe how the practice as a curricular component appears in the official documents and in the undergraduate course projects in chemistry and biological sciences at UFSM, UFRGS, and IFFar Campus São Vicente do Sul; (ii) to scrutinize the conceptions of professors who teach subjects related to PCC; (iii) to analyze the potential of the Biochemistry area as a field for PCC in undergraduate courses in Chemistry and in Biological Sciences; and (iv) to propose an activity that can be developed in Biochemistry disciplines within the scope of the PCC. We used the Content Analysis methodology to analyze data obtained in pedagogical projects and with professors who teach subjects with a workload of PCC of the teacher training courses in Biological Sciences and in Chemistry at the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and do Instituto Federal Farroupilha. From the analysis of projects' data, we observed that the course documents are in line with the DCN in relation to the PCC, in terms of their workload, distribution, and objectives. When analyzing the teachers' answers, we found that most of them know the PCC and that they develop activities and evaluation methods that seek to meet the PCC's articulation objectives. However, some of the professors confuse the meaning of the word practice of the term PCC with laboratory practices and therefore, the evaluations they carry out are also in accordance with this conception. Also, teachers, in general, emphasize the contributions and relevance of PCC in teacher training as it contributes both to the realization of the supervised curricular internship and to future professional performance. We propose an activity that can be developed in the context of PCC that includes the concepts of biochemistry, specifically synthesis and protein structure of human insulin, which has the potential to be developed in basic education as well. Based on the results obtained in this research, we established the thesis that biochemistry may be an area with promising potential for PCC activities and approaches, contributing to the training of future Biology and Chemistry teachers. A Prática como componente curricular (PCC) é um componente introduzido na carga horária dos cursos de formação de professores com as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais (DCN) em 2002 com o intuito de promover a articulação entre as dimensões prática e teórica da formação docente. Por outro lado, reconhecemos que o componente Bioquímica envolve conceitos complexos e abstratos que podem ser de difícil aprendizagem tanto no ensino superior quanto na educação básica. Assim, objetivamos investigar o contexto da PCC em cursos de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas e em Química de três instituições públicas brasileiras, bem como (i) descrever como a prática como componente curricular aparece nos documentos oficiais e nos projetos de curso de licenciatura em Química e Ciências Biológicas da UFSM, UFRGS e IFFar Campus São Vicente do Sul; (ii) escrutinar as concepções dos professores que ministram disciplinas relacionadas a PCC; (iii) analisar o potencial da área de Bioquímica como campo para a prática como componente curricular nos cursos de licenciatura em Química e Ciências Biológicas; e (iv) propor uma atividade que possa ser desenvolvida em disciplinas de Bioquímica no âmbito da PCC. Utilizamos a metodologia da Análise de Conteúdo para analisar dados obtidos em projetos pedagógicos e com docentes que ministram disciplinas com carga horária de PCC dos cursos de Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas e em química da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul e Instituto Federal Farroupilha. A partir da análise de dados dos projetos, observamos que os documentos dos cursos estão em consonância com as DCN em relação à PCC, no que se refere a sua carga horária, distribuição e objetivos. Ao analisarmos as respostas dos docentes verificamos que em sua maioria conhecem a PCC e que desenvolvem atividades e métodos avaliativos que buscam atender aos objetivos de articulação da PCC. Entretanto, alguns dos docentes confundem o sentido da palavra prática do termo PCC com as práticas de laboratório e, portanto, as avaliações que realizam estão também de acordo com essa concepção. Ainda, os docentes, de modo geral, salientam as contribuições e relevância da PCC na formação de professores pois contribui tanto para a realização do estágio curricular supervisionado e também na futura atuação profissional. Propomos uma atividade que pode ser desenvolvida no contexto da PCC que contemple os conceitos da Bioquímica, especificamente síntese e estrutura proteica da insulina humana, que tem potencial para ser desenvolvida também na educação básica. A partir dos resultados obtidos nesta pesquisa, estabelecemos a tese de que a Bioquímica pode ser área com potencial promissor para atividades e abordagens de PCC, contribuindo na formação dos futuros professores de Biologia e de Química.

Science education aims to make the student come to share meanings in the context of science. The objective of the research is to verify the contributions and potentialities of the use of non formal spaces for science teaching, in thefinal years (6th grade to 9th grade) of Elementary School, from a systematic bibliographic review, and the contextualization of Investigative Expeditions carried out with elementary school students in two municipal schools in Agudo/RS. Therefore, the stud y considered the use of nonformal spaces in science teaching, describing paths and possibilities for the teaching and learning process. The methodology consisted predominantly of qualitative research, of the case study type, in addition to a set of method ological techniques that support and describe some experiences lived by the researcher in nonformal spaces in the city of Agudo/RS. The research data analysis techniques involved Content Analysis and Scientometric Analysis. The research is organized into five chapters, and its actions considered the literature review and the production of four manuscripts on the use of nonformal spaces. Thus, the results describe some experiences and possibilities about the use of non formal spaces in science teaching and Therefore, the results show that the use of nonpaths taken in the municipality of Agudo/RS. formal spaces can contribute to student learning, make classes more interesting, optimize knowledge and give meaning to subjects previously developed at school, e specially in relation to the reality in which the school is inserted and possibilities for the use of notsorecognized spaces; in addition to contributing with reflections that can qualify the actions in science teaching of teachers and researchers in the way, the research contextualized the educational importance of nonarea. A educação em ciências, tem por objetivo fazer com que o aluno venha a compartilhar significados no contexto das ciências. O objetivo da pesquisa consiste em verificar as contribuições e potencialidades do uso dos espaços não formais para o ensino de ciências, nos anos finais (6º ano ao 9º ano) do Ensino Fundamental, a partir de revisão bibliográfica sistematizada, e a contextualização de Expedições Investigativas realizadas com alunos do Ensino Fundamental em duas escolas municipais de Agudo/RS. Logo, o estudo considerou o uso dos espaços não formais no ensino de ciências, descrevendo caminhos e possibilidades para o processo de ensino e aprendizagem. A metodologia consistiu predominantemente em pesquisa qualitativa, do tipo estudo de caso, além de um conjunto de técnicas metodológicas que fundamentam e descrevem algumas experiências vivenciadas pela pesquisadora em espaços não formais no município de Agudo/RS. As técnicas de análise de dados da pesquisa envolveram a Análise de Conteúdo e a Análise Cienciométrica. A pesquisa está organizada em cinco capítulos, e suas ações consideraram a revisão da literatura e a produção de quatro manuscritos sobre o uso de espaços não formais. Assim, os resultados descrevem algumas experiências e possibilidades sobre o uso de espaços não formais no ensino de ciências e caminhos percorridos no município de Agudo/RS. Logo, os resultados evidenciam que a utilização de espaços não formais pode contribuir na aprendizagem dos alunos, tornar as aulas mais interessantes, otimizar o conhecimento e dar significado aos assuntos desenvolvidos previamente na escola, especialmente em relação a realidade em que a escola está inserida e possibilidades de uso de espaços não tão reconhecidos; além de contribuir com reflexões que possam qualificar as ações no ensino de ciências de professores e pesquisadores na área. Desse modo, a pesquisa contextualizou a importância educativa de espaços não formais e as suas potencialidades no ensino de ciências, como uma estratégia inovadora e diversificada, complementação de conteúdos e motivação para o processo de ensino e da aprendizagem.

This work was carried out within the scope of the Educational Design Research (EDR) methodology, which seeks to provide solutions to problems experienced in teaching practice. The present research aims to create, develop, implement and evaluate a teaching methodology based on a set of didactic activities (DAs) focused on providing study rhythm and qualified feedback to students of the introductory programming discipline in the technical course in informatics, integrated to secondary education at the educational Federal Institution. The DAs were developed to carry out a continuous monitoring of student performance, so that the high rate of evasion and failure are reduced. During this methodological process, the teacher is able to identify the gaps presented by the students and resume the content individually and/or in groups, not letting doubts accumulate and become obstacles to learning. Feedback to students was carried out through a feedback of learning, taking into account reading comprehension, abstraction, logical reasoning and mathematical notions, aspects that represent the four essential pillars to be evaluated in the teaching of Programming I. The results obtained indicate that the DAs promote greater student participation, understanding that their realization is important so that the difficulties encountered can be remedied at the moment that they are identified, without an accumulation of doubts which can generate disinterest and abandonment of discipline. It was also possible to conclude that when comparing the methods in the respective evaluations analyzed, the students showed a better performance, mainly due to the teacher's feedback and the number of proposed evaluations, noting a significant increase in the number of approved students and a marked reduction in the number of recovering students. Thus, students were encouraged to participate more and more in the proposed activities, creating a rhythm, focusing their studies on the difficulties encountered and presenting a better evolution in their knowledge. Este trabalho foi realizado no âmbito da metodologia Educational Design Research (EDR), que busca encaminhar soluções para problemas vivenciados na prática docente. A presente pesquisa tem o propósito de criar, desenvolver, implementar e avaliar uma metodologia de ensino baseada em um conjunto de atividades didáticas (ADS) focadas em fornecer ritmo de estudo e feedback qualificado aos alunos da disciplina introdutória de programação no curso técnico em informática integrado ao ensino médio de uma Instituição Federal de ensino. As ADS foram desenvolvidas para realizar um acompanhamento contínuo do desempenho dos alunos, a fim de que o alto índice de evasão e reprovação sejam reduzidos. Durante esse processo metodológico, o professor consegue identificar as lacunas apresentadas pelos alunos e retomar o conteúdo individualmente e/ou em grupo, não deixando que as dúvidas se acumulem e se tornem obstáculos para o aprendizado. O retorno aos alunos foi realizado por meio de uma devolutiva do aprendizado, levando em consideração a compreensão leitora, a abstração, o raciocínio lógico e as noções matemáticas, aspectos que representam os quatro pilares essenciais a serem avaliados no ensino da referida disciplina. Os resultados obtidos indicam que as ADS promovem uma maior participação dos alunos, entendendo que sua realização é importante para que as dificuldades encontradas possam ser sanadas no momento em que forem sendo identificadas, não havendo um acúmulo de dúvidas, o que pode gerar desinteresse e abandono da disciplina. Também foi possível concluir que, ao comparar os métodos nas respectivas avaliações analisadas, os alunos apresentaram um melhor rendimento, principalmente devido ao feedback do professor e ao número de avaliações propostas, constatando-se um aumento significativo no número de alunos aprovados e uma acentuada redução no número daqueles em recuperação. Sendo assim, os alunos foram estimulados a participar das atividades propostas, criando um ritmo, concentrando seus esforços nas dificuldades encontradas e apresentando uma evolução em seus conhecimentos.

The present work seeks to articulate scientific literacy with the use of active methodologies in the teaching of basic concepts of science, in elementary and higher education. We seek to answer the research problem: how to articulate and develop active methodologies aimed at the scientific literacy process, at the concepts of science, in basic and higher education? The work is presented in an article/manuscript format that seeks to present the results of this study. Article 01, entitled " Interlinking concepts about health in the teaching of cell biology, seeks to ascertain the knowledge of students graduating from elementary school II, from the 8th and 9th grades, about basic concepts of cell biology, such as those linked to the history of the discovery of cells, differentiation cells, microorganisms, cell multiplication and healing. The methodology used for this study was the use of a questionnaire with 3 layers, with questions about the theme, which was answered by the students. Statistical analysis was performed to certify the effectiveness of the questionnaire and description of the results. Article 02, entitled “A proposal for teaching electromagnetism through experimental activities”, aims to describe and analyze a set of activities carried out with a 9th grade elementary school class, using experimental activities with content related to electromagnetic phenomena. Experimentation was used as an active methodology, and the analysis of results was performed by content analysis. In manuscript 01, entitled “The production of didactic videos by undergraduate students in biological sciences: a proposal for a cell biology class, we seek to instruct undergraduate students in biological sciences to develop didactic videos with vocabulary accessible to all audiences, using terminology conversations and, with the use of easily accessible material, make it possible to replicate the practices presented in the videos. We realized that, in understanding the simplest and most basic concepts of Cell Biology, the students obtained better results; on the other hand, when we interconnect and contextualize the concepts, we identified a significant reduction in the number of correct answers, as the development of these questions involved more complex cognitive processes. By using the development of didactic videos as an active methodology, with accessible vocabulary, capable of promoting scientific literacy in formal and non-formal environments, we realized that the students were able to link theory to practice, be active in the construction of their knowledge and think of new ideas. ways to transmit this knowledge in a practical and accessible way to other students, teachers and/or the general community. With the work developed, we seek to present a vision of curriculum that allows scientific literacy in elementary and higher education. Which must be worked in a contextualized way and with the possibility of interconnecting facts and phenomena of the student's daily life with the theoretical contents worked in the classroom. O presente trabalho busca articular a alfabetização científica com a utilização de metodologias ativas no ensino de conceitos básicos das ciências, no ensino fundamental e no ensino superior. Buscamos responder ao problema de pesquisa: como articular e desenvolver metodologias ativas voltadas ao processo de alfabetização científica, aos conceitos das ciências, no ensino básico e superior? O trabalho está apresentado em formato de artigo/manuscrito que busca apresentar os resultados deste estudo. O artigo 01, intitulado “Interligando conceitos sobre saúde no ensino de biologia celular, busca averiguar os conhecimentos dos alunos concluintes do ensino fundamental II, dos 8º e 9º anos, acerca de conceitos básicos de biologia celular, como os ligados à história da descoberta das células, diferenciação celular, microrganismos, multiplicação celular e cicatrização. A metodologia utilizada para este estudo foi o uso de um questionário com 3 camadas, com questões a respeito da temática, o qual foi respondido pelos alunos. Foi realizada a análise estatística para certificar a eficácia do questionário e a descrição dos resultados. O artigo 02, intitulado “Uma proposta de ensino do eletromagnetismo por meio de atividades experimentais”, objetiva descrever e analisar um conjunto de atividades realizadas com uma turma de 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental, empregando atividades experimentais com conteúdo referente aos fenômenos eletromagnéticos. Foi utilizada a experimentação como metodologia ativa, e a análise dos resultados foi realizada por análise de conteúdo. Já no manuscrito 01, intitulado “A produção de vídeos didáticos por alunos de graduação em ciências biológicas: uma proposta de aula de biologia celular, buscamos instruir alunos de graduação em ciências biológicas a elaborarem vídeos didáticos com vocabulário acessível a todos os públicos, utilizando terminologias coloquiais e, com a utilização de material de fácil acesso, possibilitar a replicação das práticas apresentadas nos vídeos. Percebemos que, na compreensão dos conceitos mais simples e básicos de Biologia Celular, os alunos obtiveram melhores resultados; já, ao interligarmos e contextualizarmos os conceitos, identificamos uma redução significativa no número de acertos, pois o desenvolvimento dessas questões envolvia processos cognitivos mais complexos. Ao utilizamos a elaboração de vídeos didáticos como metodologia ativa, com vocabulário acessível, é capaz de promover alfabetização científica em ambiente formais e não formais, percebemos que os educandos puderam atrelar a teoria à prática, ser ativos na construção do seu conhecimento e pensar em novas maneiras de transmitir esse conhecimento de forma prática e acessível para demais alunos, professores e/ou comunidade geral. Com os trabalhos desenvolvidos, buscamos apresentar uma visão de currículo que permita a alfabetização científica no ensino fundamental e no ensino superior. A qual deve ser trabalhada de forma contextualizada e com a possiblidade de interligar fatos e fenômenos do cotidiano do aluno com os conteúdos teóricos trabalhados em sala de aula.

Characterized as a vital element for life, water plays an important role in maintaining the quality of life of all species, whether human or animal, as well as maintaining life in the environment. It is in this way that the search for potable and quality water becomes so important, since this vital asset is found in only 2.5% of all available water on the planet, where within that, a large part is inaccessible for consumption. At the same time, the demand for water grows considerably each year, and along with that, there is a growing concern with the preservation of water sources such as rivers and streams, as these are the main points of water abstraction, whether for urban or rural populations. When dealing with population growth and advancement over water sources, another situation is presented to us. The loss of water quality due to the advancement of communities, consequently triggers the proliferation of microorganisms and other water pathologies. These sources should be the direct target of monitoring and surveillance actions, culminating in collection and analysis activities and education throughout these areas. In this context, analyzing the local reality of the Municipality of Frederico Westphalen, in Rio Grande do Sul, more specifically of five microbasins, here called Microbasins A,B,C,D and E, all of which contribute to Lajeado do Pardo, the main stream of abstraction of water for the local population, there is the possibility of a more in-depth study about the quality of the water distributed to the population, where the objective is to evaluate the Trophic State index, an important indicator of the enrichment of the concentration of nutrients, mainly of Phosphorus and Nitrogen, which in excess, end up increasing the development and growth of microalgae and, finally, of bacteria that cause environmental degradation and significant loss of quality of the sources. Through the study, there is a greater presence of organisms in areas with a higher percentage of agricultural area with occurrence of rainfall. Evaluation parameters are used to determine the quality of sources, such as evaluation of levels of Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonia, Phosphorus, Escherichia coli, Coliforms in addition to the Trophic State Index. When determining the Trophic State Index, it is verified that the presence of nutrients does not show interference of use as a function of water quality. Precipitation, on the other hand, can cause an increase in NO2-, and NH3 levels within the watersheds. There is still the presence of Escherichia coli and Coliforms within the evaluated watersheds, however all in a non-high degree. In some watersheds where there is an altered level of contamination, there is a large presence of polluting agents, as is the case of swine and poultry activities. These are responsible for a high production of organic waste, which is easily transported by rains into water courses, consequently causing their contamination along the basin. With this protection measures and regular assessment of the quality levels of water sources becomes important, aiming at water quality for future generations. Caracterizada como um elemento vital à vida, a água desempenha papel importante na manutenção da qualidade de vida de todas as espécies, seja humana ou animal, bem como para a manutenção da vida no meio ambiente. É desse modo que a busca pela água potável e de qualidade torna-se tão importante, visto que este bem vital é encontrado em apenas 2,5% de toda água disponível no planeta, onde dentro disso, grande parte fica inacessível para o consumo. Ao mesmo tempo, a demanda de água cresce consideravelmente a cada ano, e juntamente a isso cresce a preocupação com a preservação das fontes hídricas como rios e riachos, pois desses são os principais pontos de captação de água, seja para populações urbanas ou rurais. Ao tratar-se do crescimento e avanço populacional sobre as fontes hídricas, outra situação nos é apresentada. A perda de qualidade de água devido ao avanço de comunidades, desencadeiam por consequência a proliferação de microrganismos e demais patologias hídricas. Estas fontes devem ser alvo direto de ações de monitoramento e vigilância, culminando com atividades de coleta e análise e educação ao longo destas áreas. Nesse contexto, analisando a realidade local do Municipio de Frederico Westphalen, no Rio Grande do Sul, mais especificamente de cinco microbacias , aqui denominadas de Microbacias A,B,C,D e E, todas estas contribuintes do Lajeado do Pardo, principal córrego de captação de água para a população local, verifica-se a possibilidade de um estudo mais aprofundado acerca da qualidade da água distribuída a população, onde objetiva-se a avaliação do o índice de Estado Trófico, importante indicador do enriquecimento da concentração de nutrientes, principalmente de Fósforo e Nitrogênio, que em excesso, acabam por aumentar o desenvolvimento e crescimento de microalgas e por fim de bactérias que provocam a degradação ambiental e perda significativa da qualidade das fontes. Através do estudo, verifica-se uma maior presença de organismos em áreas com maior percentual de área agrícola com ocorrência de precipitação pluviométrica. Parâmetros de avaliação são utilizados para a determinação da qualidade das fontes, como avaliação de níveis de Nitrito, Nitrato, Amônia, Fósforo, Escherichia coli, Coliformes além do Índice de estado Trófico. Ao determinar-se o Índice de Estado Trófico, verifica-se que, a presença de nutrientes, não mostra interferência do uso em função da qualidade da água. Já a precipitação, pode ocasionar aumento nos níveis de NO2-, e NH3 dentro das microbacias. Verifica-se ainda a presença de Escherichia coli e Coliformes dentro das microbacias avaliadas, contudo todas em grau não elevado. Em algumas microbacias onde apresenta-se um nível alterado de contaminação cita-se a grande presença de agentes poluidores, como é o caso das atividades de suinocultura e de avicultura. Estes são responsáveis por elevada produção de dejetos orgânicos, que são facilmente transportados pelas chuvas para dentro dos cursos d’água, ocasionando, consequentemente, a contaminação destes ao longo da bacia. Com isso medidas de proteção e avaliação regular dos níveis de qualidade das fontes hídricas faz-se importante, visando a qualidade de água para próximas gerações.

Pesquisa sem auxílio de agências de fomento A utilização de espaços não formais, como Museus de Ciências, é uma possibilidade metodológica que pode favorecer a aprendizagem significativa e conferir novo sentido ao Ensino de Ciências. O presente estudo apresenta, em três capítulos, a relação dos espaços formal e não formal, bem como a interconexão desses espaços com o ensino de Ciências, com objetivo de ampliar as reflexões acerca do processo de planejamento e execução de atividades didático-pedagógicas desenvolvidas pelo professor em espaços não formais, em especial, em Museus de Ciências. O primeiro capítulo traz o aporte teórico literário acerca dos conceitos dos ambientes educativos e a correlação desses com a Educação formal, não formal e informal, discorre sobre a importância dos museus e traz reflexões sobre o planejamento e desenvolvimento de atividades educativas em museus como complemento e ampliação do processo formal de ensino. O segundo capítulo se trata de um relato de experiência quanto ao desenvolvimento de atividades didático-pedagógicas em espaços não formais e tem como objetivo apresentar as percepções, reflexões e avaliações do planejamento e execução de duas visitas que aconteceram em momentos distintos. Diante da importância da escolha do professor pela visita a um Museu de Ciências e do planejamento de tal atividade, a presente pesquisa, descrita no capítulo três, teve por objetivo elaborar, aplicar e avaliar um produto educacional, um Guia para o planejamento de visitas a Museus de Ciências, que visa auxiliar o professor no momento de escolher um espaço, assim como no planejamento e execução de suas atividades educativas presenciais ou virtuais. O produto foi apresentado a 15 professores de Ciências da rede pública e privada, a fim de que estes pudessem avaliá-lo e aplicá-lo com seus respectivos estudantes. Os resultados apontam que todos os professores participantes da pesquisa consideram importante para o ensino e aprendizagem de Ciências realizar atividades em espaços não formais de ensino. Desses, sete afirmaram que nunca levaram seus estudantes ou não têm o hábito de realizar visitas a espaços não formais, por dificuldades envolvidas no processo de organização e logística e recursos financeiros. As visitas virtuais são possibilidades, diante dessas dificuldades encontradas para realização das visitas presenciais. Cerca de 70% dos docentes envolvidos no estudo nunca realizaram uma visita virtual com seus estudantes, seja por desconhecimento ou por barreiras instrumentais e tecnológicas que podem inviabilizar uma visita virtual, visto que nem sempre os recursos digitais estarão em boas condições ou são inexistentes. Apesar dessas barreiras, todos os professores afirmaram que o produto educacional da pesquisa, o Guia, auxilia na busca de informações e escolha do Museu, e que o instrumental atende às expectativas para preparar e organizar uma visita presencial ou virtual em um Museu de Ciências. The use of non-formal spaces, such as Science Museums, is a methodological possibility that can favor meaningful learning and give new significance to Science Teaching. This study presents, in three chapters, the correlation between formal and non-formal spaces, as well as the interconnection of these spaces with science teaching, aiming to increase the reflections about the planning process and execution of didactic and pedagogical activities developed by the teacher in non-formal spaces, especially in Science Museums. The first chapter presents the theoretical literary contribution concerning the concepts of educational environments and their correlation with formal, non-formal and informal education, discusses the importance of museums and reflects on the planning and development of educational activities in museums as a complement and extension of the formal teaching process. The second chapter is an experience report on the development of didactic-pedagogical activities in non-formal spaces and aims to present the perceptions, reflections and assessments of the planning and execution of two visits that occurred at different times. In view of the importance of the teacher's choice to visit a Science Museum and the planning of such activity, the present research, described in chapter three, aimed to elaborate, apply and evaluate an educational product, a Guide for planning visits to Science Museums, which aims to assist the teacher when choosing a space, as well as in the planning and execution of his or her face-to-face or virtual educational activities. The product was presented to 15 state and private science teachers, so that they could evaluate and apply it with their respective students. The results point out that all of the teachers participating in the research consider it important for science teaching and learning to carry out activities in non-formal teaching spaces. Of these, seven said that they never took your students or do not have the habit of visiting non-formal spaces, due to difficulties involved in the process of organization and logistics and financial resources. Virtual visits are a viable option, given the difficulties encountered in making the visits in person. About 70% of the teachers involved in the study have never carried out a virtual visit with their students, either because of unfamiliarity or because of instrumental and technological barriers that may make a virtual visit inviable, since digital resources are not always in good working order or are non-existent. Despite these barriers, all teachers said that the educational product of the research, the Guide, assists in the search for information and the choice of the Museum, and that the instrumental can fulfill the expectations to prepare and organize a face-to-face or virtual visit in a Science Museum. The Environmental Health Indicator (ISA) was proposed by the São Paulo State Sanitation Council (CONESAN) to assess the environmental situation of São Paulo municipalities, with the main premise of presenting a numerical value that represents the level of environmental health. The ISA evaluates several sanitation components and its value varies from 0 to 1 (or 0% to 100%), and the closer to 1, the greater the environmental healthiness of the analyzed region. Despite having been created to evaluate the municipalities of São Paulo, the ISA started to be used in several regions of Brazil, and its formulation varied according to the characteristics of the evaluated locations. The general objective of this study was to carry out a diagnosis of the environmental sanitation systems in the municipality of Jaboticaba/RS, through the ISA, ascertaining the current conditions for the development of a prognosis aimed at improvements. To this end, a survey of municipal data was carried out, which were compiled and organized so that the values of the 3rd and 2nd order indicators could be obtained, resulting in the value of the ISA for each municipal micro-region, so that, later on, if you could get the general value of the, here called, ISA/JAB. The value of the ISA/JAB was obtained for the micro-regions of the municipality, both rural and urban, carrying out an in-depth analysis of all components of municipal sanitation. The general value of the ISA/JAB was 51.82%, which fits the region as having medium health. The study pointed out the need for improvement in some spheres of sanitation, especially sanitary sewage, which need improvements to increase local environmental health. The best results were presented by the Vector Control Indicator, with 90.44%, followed by the Water Supply Indicator, with 81.70%. O Indicador de Salubridade Ambiental (ISA) foi proposto pelo Conselho Estadual de Saneamento de São Paulo (CONESAN), para avaliar a situação ambiental dos municípios paulistas, com a principal premissa de apresentar um valor numérico que represente o nível de salubridade ambiental. O ISA avalia diversos componentes do saneamento e seu valor varia de 0 até 1 (ou 0% até 100%), e quanto mais próximo de 1, maior é a salubridade ambiental da região analisada. Apesar de ter sido criado para avaliar os municípios paulistas, o ISA passou a ser utilizado em diversas regiões do Brasil, e sua formulação variou conforme as características dos locais avaliados. O objetivo geral deste estudo foi realizar diagnóstico dos sistemas de saneamento ambiental no município de Jaboticaba/RS, por meio do ISA, apurando as condições atuais para desenvolvimento de um prognóstico visando melhorias. Para tal, realizou-se um levantamento de dados do município, os quais foram compilados e organizados para que se pudessem obter os valores dos indicadores de 3ª e 2ª ordem, resultando no valor do ISA para cada microrregião municipal, a fim de que, posteriormente, se pudesse obter o valor geral do, aqui denominado, ISA/JAB. Obteve-se o valor do ISA/JAB para as microrregiões do município, tanto rurais quanto urbanas, realizando uma análise aprofundada de todos os componentes do saneamento municipal. O valor geral do ISA/JAB foi de 51,82%, que enquadra a região como de média salubridade. O estudo apontou a necessidade de avanço em algumas esferas do saneamento, principalmente o esgotamento sanitário, que carecem de melhorias para elevar a salubridade ambiental local. Os melhores resultados foram apresentados pelo Indicador de Controle de Vetores, com 90,44% seguido pelo Indicador de Abastecimento de Água, com 81,70%.

The studied area is called Lajeado do Pardo, located in the municipality of Frederico Westphalen. The municipality has characteristics of rural and urban use, and due to the current concern with the problem of scarcity of natural resources, mainly the water resource, this approach was chosen, which may contribute to the standardization of the method to determine the water quality index. (IQA), facilitating discussions concerning environmental problems. In this sense, 102 strategic points of water collection were determined, from the source to the water capture point of the municipality, where measurements were taken, through a multiparameter probe, and physical, chemical and microbiological analyzes were carried out, for the purpose of comparing the values maximum limit established by CONAMA RESOLUTION 357. Statistical analyzes were performed with the aid of the R program (R Development Core Team, 2021) and the Microsoft Office Excel® application. The objective of this work was to determine the sample size necessary to estimate the average of variables related to water quality parameters, using T Student distribution methods and Resampling at precision levels. In addition, to evaluate the gain of precision in the estimation of measures of central tendency and of variability in variables of parameters of water quality in water courses. From the data obtained, it was found that the levels of thermotolerant coliforms and total phosphorus are outside the standards for class II waters. A larger sample size is required in the evaluation of N-NH3 and NH3 and a smaller sample size is required for the determination of temperature, redox potential, among others. The estimation error made when using 102 sampling points ranged between 1.20% and 56.14% of the average for variables that require a larger sample size. Accuracy gain is faster for estimating mean than standard deviation and coefficient of variation. A área estudada denomina-se Lajeado do Pardo, localizada no município de Frederico Westphalen. O município apresenta características de uso rural e urbano, e devido à atual preocupação com o problema de escassez de recursos naturais, principalmente o recurso hídrico, optou-se por esta abordagem que poderá contribuir na padronização de método para determinar o índice de qualidade de água (IQA), facilitando discussões que dizem respeito aos problemas ambientais. Nesse sentido, foram determinados 102 pontos estratégicos de coleta de água, da nascente até o ponto de captação de água do município, onde foram aferidas medições, através de sonda multiparâmetro, e efetuadas análises físicas, químicas e microbiológicas, para fins de comparação aos valores de limite máximo estabelecido pela RESOLUÇÃO CONAMA 357. As análises estatísticas foram realizadas com o auxílio do programa R (R Development Core Team, 2021) e do aplicativo Microsoft Office Excel®. O objetivo deste trabalho foi determinar o tamanho amostral necessário para a estimação da média de variáveis relacionadas aos parâmetros de qualidade da água, via métodos de distribuição de T Student e Reamostragem em níveis de precisão. Além disso, avaliar o ganho de precisão na estimação de medidas de tendência central e de variabilidade em variáveis de parâmetros de qualidade da água em cursos hídricos. A partir dos dados obtidos, constatou-se que os níveis de coliformes termotolerantes e fósforo total encontram-se fora dos padrões para águas de classe II. É necessário um tamanho maior de amostra na avaliação de N-NH3 e NH3 e tamanho menor de amostra para determinação da temperatura, potencial redox, entre outros. O erro de estimativa cometido ao utilizar 102 pontos de amostragem oscilou entre 1,20% e 56,14% da média sobre variáveis que requerem maior tamanho de amostra. O ganho de precisão é mais rápido para estimar a média do que desvio padrão e coeficiente de variação.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES The water quality for human consumption can be influenced by human activities through the forms of land uses and occupation. The general objective of this study was to characterize water for human consumption from rural properties located in municipalities in the State of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina (Brazil), regarding the presence of emerging environmental contaminants and other physical, chemical and microbiological variables that indicate water quality, as well as carrying out macroscopic environmental analyzes in shallow wells in the Uruguay River basin. The water samples were collected through two sampling campaigns (season 1 and 2), distributed in different land uses and occupations: dairy productivity, seasonal crops and swine production, and the shallow wells and their surroundings were visually evaluated, in rural properties. The values of the physical, chemical and microbiological analyzes were compared with the national and international legislations levels for water for human consumption. As results obtained for the macroscopic environmental analysis, it was verified that the shallow wells presented different classifications of degree of preservation, ranging from Excellent to Bad Class. Regarding the pH, apparent color, total hardness, fluorine, total ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and manganese variables, they were in accordance with the maximum permitted values (MPV) by current legislation. However, the turbidity, total iron, total coliforms and Escherichia coli variables presented values in disagreement with the standards established in the legislation. Total alkalinity, electrical conductivity, total solids, dissolved oxygen, biochemical oxygen demand, temperature, total phosphorus, total nitrogen and total nitrogen kjeldahl are not contemplated by the legislation, not having MPV for such variables. The different land uses and occupation did not interfere in the water physical and chemical variables. Thus, the macroscopic environmental analysis showed that the parameters that showed low preservation may be interfering with the water quality consumed by rural properties. The microbiological variables were quantified in the different lands uses and occupation, as well as in the different seasons studied, leading to the conclusion that the location of the shallow wells for human consumption, constructive aspects and their hygienic and sanitary conditions directly influenced the results obtained for these variables. Emerging environmental contaminants were detected in seasons 1 and 2 in all land uses and occupation, with pharmaceuticals and pesticides presenting concentrations lower than the MPV for drinking water for human consumption. It is believed that the presence of such compounds in the different land uses and occupation is due to the fact that the rural properties had other secondary activities, in addition to those studied, which may have influenced the results obtained. A qualidade das águas de consumo humano pode ser influenciada por atividades antrópicas através das formas de uso e ocupação do solo, por exemplo. O objetivo geral desse estudo foi caracterizar as águas de consumo humano de propriedades rurais situadas em municípios do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul e Santa Catarina (Brasil), quanto a presença de contaminantes ambientais emergentes, variáveis físicas, químicas e microbiológicas indicadoras de qualidade da água, bem como realizar a análise macroscópica ambiental em poços rasos da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Uruguai. As amostras de água foram coletadas através de duas campanhas amostrais (épocas 1 e 2), distribuídas sob os seguintes usos e ocupação do solo: produtividade leiteira, culturas de época e suinocultura, além disso, foramavaliados visualmente os poços rasos e o seu entorno, nas propriedades rurais. Os resultados das análises físicas, químicas e microbiológicas, foram comparados com as legislações vigentes em nível nacional e internacional para as águas utilizadas no consumo humano. Como resultados obtidos para a análise macroscópica ambiental, verificou-se que os poços rasos apresentaram diferentes classificações de grau de preservação, variando da classe ótima a ruim. Com relação às variáveis pH, cor aparente, dureza total, fluoreto, amônia total, nitrito, nitrato e manganês, estas apresentaram-se condizentes com os valores máximos permitidos pelas legislações vigentes. Entretanto, as variáveis turbidez, ferro total, coliformes totais e Escherichia coli apresentaram valores em desacordo com os padrões estabelecidos nas legislações. Alcalinidade total, condutividade elétrica, sólidos totais, oxigênio dissolvido, demanda bioquímica de oxigênio, temperatura, fósforo total, nitrogênio total e nitrogênio total kjeldahl não estão contemplados nas referidas legislações, não possuindo valor de referência. Os diferentes usos e ocupação do solo não interferiram nas variáveis físicas e químicas da água. Assim, a análise macroscópica ambiental demonstrou que os parâmetros que apresentaram baixa preservação podem estar interferindo na qualidade da água consumida pelos produtores rurais. As variáveis microbiológicas foram quantificadas nos diferentes usos e ocupação do solo, bem como nas diferentes épocas estudadas, levando-se a concluir que a localização dos poços rasos de consumo humano, aspectos construtivos e suas condições higiênico sanitárias influenciaram diretamente nos resultados obtidos para estas variáveis. Os contaminantes ambientais emergentes foram detectados nas épocas 1 e 2 em todos os usos e ocupação do solo, com os fármacos e agrotóxicos apresentando concentrações inferiores ao permitido para a potabilidade da água de consumo humano. Acredita-se que a presença desses compostos nos diferentes usos e ocupação se deve pelo fato de que as propriedades rurais apresentavam outras atividades secundárias, além das estudadas, podendo este ter influenciado nos resultados obtidos.

This paper sought to investigate the possibilities and challenges that a training process based on the Freire-CTS-Andragogy principles presents to the knowledge and practices of educators in the area of Natural Sciences who work in YAE. Through this path, it is initially presented a look at the productions that contemplate such assumptions in their contents from the analysis carried out in the minutes of events and theses and dissertations portals, signaling what has been done and how such aspects have been produced. Subsequently, the theoretical references that guided the planning and implementation of the training process are presented. The research developed is Participant Research with a qualitative nature, in which the training process was implemented with educators in the area of Natural Sciences who work in the YAE (young and adults education) in a public school in the city of Caçapava do Sul, based on the dynamics of the Three Pedagogical Moments as structuring of critical curricula. The Reality Study allowed the planning to be structured from the following generating question: How to promote the generation of jobs and improvements in public health in the city of Caçapava do Sul? The thematic units discussed in the classes comprise: Health and Pandemic, Tourist hotspots and Geopark and Mining. The analysis took place from the Discursive Textual Analysis through emerging categories to the process. Among the results, we point out the relevance and complementarity that the articulations around the theoretical assumptions Freire- CTS-Andragogy brought to the knowledge and practices of the educator subjects, so that they created paths for the construction of a curricular reorganization for Teaching of Sciences in YAE from a Reality Study. We also present important considerations that permeated the development of this research in the emerging context of a pandemic era, which brought challenges in this path, but which weaves important reflections and contributions to what refers to the Teaching of Science in YAE. O presente trabalho buscou investigar as possibilidades e os desafios que um processo formativo fundamentado nos princípios Freire-CTS-Andragogia apresenta aos conhecimentos e ás práticas de educadores da área das Ciências da Natureza que atuam na EJA? Nesta caminhada, apresenta-se, inicialmente, um olhar às produções que contemplam tais pressupostos em seus conteúdos, a partir da análise realizada em atas de eventos e portais de teses e dissertações, sinalizando o que e como vêm sendo produzidos tais aspectos. Posteriormente, apresentam-se os encaminhamentos dos referenciais teóricos que balizaram o planejamento e a implementação do processo formativo. A pesquisa desenvolvida é Pesquisa Participante (PP) com cunho qualitativo, em que o processo formativo foi implementado com educadores da área de Ciências da Natureza que atuam na EJA, em uma escola pública no município de Caçapava do Sul, a partir da dinâmica dos Três Momentos Pedagógicos como estruturantes de currículos críticos. O Estudo da Realidade propiciou que os planejamentos fossem estruturados a partir da seguinte questão geradora: Como promover a geração de empregos e melhorias na saúde pública do município de Caçapava do Sul? As unidades temáticas discutidas nas aulas compreendem: Saúde e Pandemia, Pontos Turísticos e Geoparque e Mineração. A análise ocorreu a partir da Análise Textual Discursiva (ATD), através de categorias emergentes ao processo. Dentre os resultados, sinaliza-se para a relevância e a complementaridade que as articulações em torno dos pressupostos teóricos Freire-CTS-Andragogia trouxeram aos conhecimentos e práticas dos sujeitos educadores, de modo que estas criaram caminhos para a construção de uma reorganização curricular para o Ensino de Ciências na EJA a partir de um Estudo da Realidade. Apresentam-se, também, importantes considerações que permearam o desenvolvimento desta pesquisa no contexto emergente de uma época pandêmica e que trouxe desafios neste caminhar, mas que tece importantes reflexões e contribuições ao que refere-se o Ensino de Ciências da EJA.

Research on science teaching has shown a growing lack of youngsters’ interest in scientific subjects throughout school education. In addition, young adults have been less interested in pursuing careers or academic studies in scientific areas. This loss of interest is concerning since scientific knowledge is important for school education, and the economic and social development is increasingly associated with scientific and technological advances. Among other relevant studies in this area in Brazil, research associated to the ROSE project (The Relevance of Science Education) seeks to listen to the student's perspective in relation to their interests in and attitudes towards science and technology. Young Brazilians consider school science important, but it is not among their favorite subjects. This creates a paradox between absolute preference and relative preference. We sought to investigate how young Brazilians are distributed in relation to the paradox preference for the Science discipline and how the interest in learning topics in science and technology, extracurricular activities, and the learners’ opinion on their science classes help understand this paradox. Regarding the preference for scientific subjects, the youngsters are divided into four groups: Specific Priority (30.6%) presents high relative and absolute preference. This group tends to show positive attitude towards and interest in science and technology; Other Priority (45.15%) presents high absolute interest and low relative interest. Their interests and attitudes are dispersed in this area, with their interest focused more on the health area; Poor priority (20.26%) presents low absolute and relative preference for the subject. This group tends to have negative attitude towards and interest in this area; Not-positive priority (3.98%) has high relative interest and low absolute interest in sciences. Knowing how young people behave in relation to sciences is important since it may help schoolteachers create pedagogical strategies for teaching. Moreover, it is essential for curriculum reform in basic and higher education fostered by the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC), which impacts different levels of education, especially high school and its training itineraries. As pesquisas em ensino de ciências têm demonstrado um crescente desinteresse dos jovens pelas disciplinas científicas ao longo da escolarização. Além disso, o interesse por seguir carreiras ou prosseguir estudos acadêmicos nas áreas científicas também diminuiu entre os jovens. Essa perda de interesse na área torna-se preocupante, uma vez que o conhecimento científico é importante para a formação escolar ligado ao fato de o desenvolvimento econômico e social estar, cada vez mais, associado aos avanços científicos e tecnológicos. O Brasil conta com pesquisas relevantes nesta área destacando-se, dentre elas, aquelas oriundas do projeto ROSE (The Relevance of Science Education), que buscam escutar a voz do estudante em relação aos seus interesses e atitudes frente à ciência e tecnologia. Os jovens brasileiros consideram a disciplina Ciências importante, porém ela não figura entre suas favoritas, formando-se assim um paradoxo entre preferência absoluta e preferência relativa. Baseado nesse contexto buscamos investigar como os jovens brasileiros se distribuem frente ao paradoxo preferência pela disciplina Ciências e de que maneira o interesse em aprender tópicos em ciência e tecnologia, as atividades extraescolares e a opinião dos jovens sobre suas aulas de ciências auxiliam a entender esse paradoxo. Em relação a preferência pelas disciplinas científicas os jovens estão divididos em quatro grupos: Prioridade Específica (30,6%), alta preferência relativa e absoluta, esse grupo possui tendência a apresentar atitudes e interesses positivos pela área da ciência e tecnologia; Outras Prioridades (45,15%), alto interesse absoluto e baixo interesse relativo, seus interesses e atitudes encontram-se dispersos nessa área, sendo o seu interesse voltado mais para a área da saúde; Baixa prioridades (20,26%), possui baixa preferência absoluta e relativa pela disciplina, tendem a apresentar atitudes e interesses negativos pela área; Prioridade não específica (3,98%) possui alto interesse relativo e baixo interesse absoluto pela disciplina Ciências. Conhecer como os jovens se comportam frente à disciplina Ciências é importante, pois pode subsidiar professores em sala de aula para criar estratégias de ensino. Torna-se importante também em um contexto de reforma curricular na educação básica e superior desencadeada pela Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC), que impacta diferentes níveis de ensino, em especial o ensino médio e seus itinerários formativos.

Basic sanitation presents itself as a fundamental factor for social development and for guaranteeing public health. Within the services of sanitation, water and its entire system of adduction, treatment and distribution is of fundamental importance. However, the treatment carried out by Water Treatment Plants (WTP) also ends up generating waste whose characteristics come from the quality of raw water and the processes used for its purification. Based on this, this work proposed to carry out a study on the sludge from the WTP of Palmitinho/RS, firstly, through its characterization and verification of aluminum concentrations, due to the coagulation/flocculation process employing the coagulant aluminum sulfate. The feasibility of recovering the coagulant used through the use of the acid extraction process was investigated, observing the possible application of the recovered for the treatment of raw water, with two distinct characteristics: high turbidity and color and low turbidity and color. Regarding the characterization of this sludge, it was observed its need for treatment before disposal, with physical and chemical methods being the most recommended, and that, due to its high concentration of metals, the regeneration of coagulant by acid route presents itself as a viable alternative treatment to be used. The acid extraction process provided a concentration of 683.31 mg/L of aluminum sulfate to the recovered to be used in later tests and a potential to reduce the total volume of the treated sludge by about 45%, evidencing its efficiency. In relation to the tests carried out with the recovered coagulant comparing with commercial coagulant in waters of different turbidity, it was observed that the recovered coagulant, when tested in waters of high turbidity showed a range of applicability superior to the commercial coagulant, showing ≥90% removal in practically all pH ranges. However, the limitation of the use of this recovered coagulant may be related to the color transferred to the water to be treated, since low turbidity water treated with it did not obtain satisfactory results, whereas water with high turbidity obtained also apparent and true color removal efficiencies. O saneamento básico se apresenta como um fator fundamental para o desenvolvimento social e para a garantia de saúde pública. Dentro dos ramos do saneamento, a água e todo seu sistema de adução, tratamento e distribuição é de fundamental importância. No entanto, o tratamento realizado por Estações de Tratamento de Água (ETA) também acaba por gerar resíduos cujas características advém da qualidade da água bruta e dos processos empregados para a sua potabilização. Baseado nisto, este trabalho se propôs a realizar um estudo sobre o lodo da Estação de Tratamento de Água de Palmitinho/RS, primeiramente, através de sua caracterização e verificação das concentrações de alumínio, em razão de o processo de coagulação/floculação empregar o coagulante sulfato de alumínio. Foi investigada a viabilidade de recuperação do coagulante utilizado através do emprego do processo de extração por via ácida, observando a possível aplicação do recuperado para o tratamento de água bruta, com duas características distintas: elevadas turbidez e cor e baixas turbidez e cor. Em relação à caracterização deste lodo, observou-se a necessidade de tratamento antes de disposição, sendo os métodos físicos e químicos os mais recomendados, e que, pela sua elevada concentração de metais, a regeneração de coagulante por via ácida se apresenta como uma alternativa viável de tratamento a ser empregada. O processo de extração por via ácida propiciou uma concentração de 683,31 mg/L de sulfato de alumínio ao recuperado a ser utilizado em ensaios posteriores e potencial de redução do volume total do lodo tratado de cerca de 45%, evidenciando sua eficiência. Já em relação aos ensaios realizados com o coagulante recuperado e, comparando com coagulante comercial, observou-se que o coagulante recuperado, quando testado em águas de elevadas turbidez e cor, se mostrou com uma faixa de aplicabilidade superior ao coagulante comercial, apresentando remoção ≥90% de turbidez em praticamente todas as faixas de pH testadas. Porém, a limitação do emprego deste coagulante recuperado pode estar relacionada com a característica de cor transferida para a água a ser tratada, uma vez que águas de baixa turbidez tratadas com este recuperado não obtiveram resultados satisfatórios, ao passo de que, águas com turbidez elevada, obtiveram eficiência também na remoção de cor aparente e cor verdadeira.

Conselho Nacional de Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPq Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia, Inovações e Comunicações - MCTIC STEM Education over the last 20 years has gained space in scholar environments all over the world, due to the importance the areas which compose its acronym, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, have to contemporary society, including Brazil, albeit timidly. Among the objectives of STEM Education, authors as Zollman (2012), Bybee (2013), Li et al. (2019) and Leung (2020) highlight the STEM Literacy as its core, and for this reason, comprehending it becomes essential for changes to be made in favor of STEM Education, mainly because both terms are codependent, it means, are influenced by each other. So, in this research were studied the thematics which substantiate the STEM Education and STEM Literacy, as well as the dynamic between the two terms, as means to observe the landscape of STEM Literacy in the Brazilian context based on the national research about the thematic. Therefore, this study corresponds to an applied research, of qualitative nature and descriptive-exploratory character, organized in three phases, namely: (1) execution of an analyzes about STEM Literacy on the world stage, from materials made available by the CAPES` Portal of Journals and BDTD, to comprehend how this term is presented to Brazilian researchers; (2) evaluation of the premises of STEM literacy on national productions about STEM Education, by means of the available publications on the CAPES` Portal of Journals and on BDTD, to comprehend how our researchers interpret this approach and; (3) investigation of the objectives and projections for STEM Literacy from the studies delimited by research groups registered on the CNPq directory. The results obtained on this research show that in the world scenery there is no consensus about the conceptualization of STEM Literacy and that its core is grounded on the subjects (students, teachers) involved in the teaching and learning process. It is also verified that STEM Literacy longs for the democratization and equity of STEM Education, valuing, besides the conceptual aspects, the procedural and attitudinal aspects related to the themes and problems which pervade the STEM Education. To meet this goal, it is necessary cognitive, psychomotor and affective-emotional domain about the situations addressed by the STEM areas, standing out the essentiality of problem resolution, investigation, hypothesis formulation and testing of said hypothesis for the construction of knowledge in STEM areas, development of competences and abilities, as well as the 4Cs (critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity), which are listed as paramount to every citizen on the 21st century. Furthermore, it was clear how the different existing concepts influenced the developed research. About the Brazilian reality, the publications revealed that Brazil still has a long way to go through when it comes to the research about STEM Education, since there are no studies focusing on comprehending STEM Literacy, even though signs of this term are seen on studies and in the present educational public politics themselves, which regulates the national education system. A Educação STEM ao longo dos últimos 20 anos tem conquistado espaço nos ambientes escolares por todo o mundo, devido a importância que as áreas que compõem seu acrônimo, Ciências, Tecnologia, Engenharia e Matemática, têm para a sociedade contemporânea, incluindo o Brasil, ainda que timidamente. Dentre os objetivos da Educação STEM, autores como Zollman (2012), Bybee (2013), Li et al. (2019) e Leung (2020) destacam a STEM Literacy como sendo o seu cerne, e por isso, compreendê-la torna-se essencial para que sejam realizadas mudanças em prol da Educação STEM, principalmente porque ambos os termos são codependentes, ou seja, sofrem influência um do outro. Assim, nesta pesquisa foram estudadas as temáticas que fundamentam a Educação STEM e a STEM Literacy, bem como a dinâmica entre os dois termos, a fim de vislumbrar o panorama da STEM Literacy no contexto brasileiro a partir das pesquisas nacionais sobre a temática. Logo, este estudo corresponde a uma pesquisa aplicada, de cunho qualitativo e caráter descritivo-exploratório, organizada em três etapas a saber: (1) realização de uma análise acerca da STEM Literacy no cenário mundial, a partir de materiais disponibilizados pelo Portal de Periódicos CAPES e pela BDTD, para compreender como esse termo é apresentado aos pesquisadores brasileiros; (2) avaliação dos pressupostos da STEM Literacy das produções nacionais sobre a Educação STEM, por meio das publicações disponíveis no Portal de Periódicos CAPES e na BDTD, para compreendermos como os nosso pesquisadores interpretam essa abordagem e; (3) investigação dos objetivos e projeções para a STEM Literacy a partir dos estudos delimitados pelos grupos de pesquisa cadastrados no Diretório do CNPq. Os resultados obtidos nesta pesquisa, demonstram que no cenário mundial não há um consenso sobre a conceituação da STEM Literacy e que a base desta está alicerçada nos sujeitos (estudantes, professores) envolvidos no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Também se constata que a STEM Literacy almeja a democratização e equidade da Educação STEM, valorizando além dos aspectos conceituais, os aspectos procedimentais e atitudinais relacionados aos temas e problemas que perpassam a Educação STEM. Para isso, faz-se necessário domínio cognitivo, psicomotor e afetivo-emocional acerca das situações abordadas pelas áreas STEM, sobressaindo a essencialidade da resolução de problemas, da investigação, da formulação de hipóteses e testagem das mesmas para a construção do conhecimento nas áreas STEM, no desenvolvimento de competências e habilidades, bem como a importância dos 4Cs (criticidade, colaboração, comunicação e criatividade), os quais são elencados como fundamentais para todo e qualquer cidadão do século XXI. Ademais, ficou nítido como os diferentes conceitos existentes influenciaram os trabalhos desenvolvidos. Já na realidade brasileira, às publicações revelaram que o Brasil tem um longo caminho a percorrer acerca dos trabalhos sobre a Educação STEM, pois ainda não possui estudos focados em compreender a STEM Literacy, mesmo que apresente indícios desse termo nos estudos realizados e nas próprias políticas públicas educacionais vigentes, que regem o sistema de ensino nacional.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES The teaching of Cell Biology in high school faces some difficulties, which include the complexity of the topic, its abstract character, difficulties in visualizing what is studied, among others. To overcome these barriers, it is necessary to search for alternative methodologies that promote a better learning of cytology by students, which use their previous conceptions on the subject. The healing process, as it is a cellular process and is related to the daily lives of students, can present itself as an alternative to this demand. The present work seeks to present a teaching proposal that consists in the development of a didactic sequence on the healing mechanism to work on cell biology in high school, based on the students' previous conceptions, in order to promote a more meaningful learning. Subsequently, a workshop was made with biology teachers, which aimed to present the didactic sequence to them and thus apply a questionnaire to assess it, based on the teachers' conceptions. The results showed, firstly with the ninth year students, that they have abstract conceptions about the healing process, which are based a lot on past experiences, but without being able to make many connections with Cell Biology. As for the results of the workshop with the teachers, we could observe a great acceptance of the teachers to the sequence, which generated a positive validation for it to be applied in the classroom in the future. O ensino de Biologia Celular no ensino médio enfrenta algumas dificuldades, que passam pela complexidade do tema, seu caráter abstrato, as dificuldades de visualização daquilo que é estudado, entre outros. Para contornar estas barreiras, se faz necessário a busca por metodologias alternativas que promovam uma maior aprendizagem da citologia pelos alunos, a qual partam também das suas concepções prévias sobre o assunto. O processo de cicatrização, por ser um processo celular e ter relação com o cotidiano dos alunos, pode se apresentar com uma alternativa para esta demanda. O presente trabalho busca apresentar uma proposta de ensino que consiste no desenvolvimento de uma sequência didática sobre o mecanismo de cicatrização para trabalhar a Biologia Celular no ensino médio, a partir das concepções prévias dos alunos, a fim de promover uma aprendizagem mais significativa. Esta proposta didática foi apresentada à professores a professores de Biologia, a qual teve objetivo de apresentar a sequência e ensino aos mesmos e assim aplicar um questionário para a avalia-la, a partir das concepções dos docentes. Os resultados mostraram, primeiramente com os estudantes de nono ano, que possuem concepções abstratas acerca do processo de cicatrização, que se baseiam muito nas experiências do passado, porém sem conseguirem fazer muitas conexões com a Biologia Celular. Quanto aos resultados da oficina com os professores, pudemos observar uma grande aceitação dos docentes à sequência, o que gerou uma validação positiva para que seja aplicada futuramente em sala de aula.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES The Early Years of elementary school are the stage responsible for learning the first letters, reading and writing. At this stage, the teaching of science can enable the knowledge of basic concepts of natural sciences, awakening in the student the interest, curiosity and sense of investigation, which will contribute to the intellectual development of the individual. However, teachers face difficulties in their practice due to the numerous issues that permeate their pedagogical work. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the difficulties faced by teachers of the Early Years in their practice, before and during the COVID-19 pandemic that caused remote teaching. The proposal was developed in the municipal network of Jaguari, RS, where sixteen teachers participated in the first stage of the study and twenty-one in the second stage. The methodology is characterized as qualitative, of the case study type, in which the research stages are structured based on the five stages of the Arc of Maguerez. Therefore, in the "Observation of reality", a study was carried out in the official documents, interviews, and application of an online questionnaire. In the "Key points", the topics that were deepened in the theorization were established, being: Teacher education; Early years; Initial and continuing education; Science teaching; Difficulties in practice; and, Pandemic. In the "Theorization" a deepening of the points listed in the previous step was carried out. The first one identified the difficulties faced by teachers of the Early Years in their teaching practice, and the results infer that the difficulties are related to the interest and learning of the students, social problems, and the absence of the family at school. Manuscript two investigated the difficulties faced in teaching practice during remote teaching, and the results revealed that the difficulties were lack of teacher and student interaction, lack of internet access, failure to deliver activities, lack of knowledge of digital technologies, and difficulty preparing classes for the remote teaching model. Finally, the "Application to Reality" was the moment to reflect on the results found. It is inferred that the difficulties faced daily by teachers are inherent to their practice, when, because they are immersed in a context of issues that overwhelm them, they do not relate the difficulties faced with their training, nor are able to reflect on their practice. It was also identified that, in the Early Years, teachers have a 'shadowed knowledge' in relation to the teaching of Sciences, due to the prioritization of other areas of knowledge, such as Portuguese and Mathematics, present in the large-scale evaluations, because of daily, social and family issues, and the difficulties of their own practice. Among the results, it is pointed out that the accomplishment of formative processes, aiming at the reflection on the teaching, can sensitize teachers to develop a contextualized science teaching, close to the students' reality. Os Anos Iniciais do ensino fundamental é a etapa responsável pela aprendizagem das primeiras letras, o ler e o escrever. Nessa fase, o ensino de Ciências pode permitir o conhecimento de conceitos básicos das Ciências Naturais, despertando no aluno o interesse, a curiosidade e o senso de investigação, que contribuirá para o desenvolvimento intelectual do indíviduo. Contudo, os professores enfrentam dificuldades em sua prática, devido às inúmeras questões que permeiam o fazer pedagógico. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos professores dos Anos Iniciais em sua prática, antes e durante a pandemia da COVID-19 que ocasionou o ensino remoto. A proposta foi desenvolvida na rede municipal de Jaguari, RS, onde participaram da primeira etapa do estudo dezesseis professores e na segunda etapa vinte e um. A metodologia caracteriza-se como qualitativa, do tipo estudo de caso, em que as etapas da pesquisa estão estruturadas a partir das cinco etapas do Arco de Maguerez. Portanto, na “Observação da realidade”, foi realizado um estudo nos documentos oficiais, entrevistas e aplicação de questionário online. Nos “Pontos-chave”, foram estabelecidos os tópicos aprofundados na teorização, sendo: Formação de professores; Anos iniciais; Formação inicial e continuada; Ensino de Ciências; Dificuldades na prática; e, Pandemia. Na “Teorização” foi realizado um aprofundamento dos pontos elencados na etapa anterior. Já nas “Hipóteses de Solução”, foram construídos dois manuscritos, que compõem este estudo, o primeiro identificou as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos professores dos Anos Iniciais em sua prática docente, e os resultados inferem que as dificuldades são relacionadas ao interesse e à aprendizagem dos alunos, problemas sociais e a ausência da família na escola. O manuscrito dois investigou as dificuldades enfrentadas na prática docente durante o ensino remoto, e os resultados revelaram que as dificuldades foram a falta de interação professor e aluno, falta de acesso à internet, não entrega de atividades, falta de conhecimento das tecnologias digitais e dificuldade de preparar as aulas para o modelo de ensino remoto. Por fim na “Aplicação à Realidade” foi o momento da reflexão sobre os resultados encontrados, infere-se que as dificuldades enfrentadas cotidianamente pelos professores são inerentes a sua prática, quando, por estarem imersos em um contexto de questões que o sobrecarregam, não relacionam as dificuldades enfrentadas com a sua formação, tampouco conseguem refletir sobre a sua prática. Identificou-se ainda, que nos Anos Iniciais, os professores apresentam um ‘saber sombreado’ em relação ao ensino de Ciências, em função da priorização de outras áreas do conhecimento, como o português e a matemática, presentes nas avaliações em larga escala, pelas questões cotidianas, sociais, familiares e as dificuldades da própria prática. Entre os resultados, aponta-se que a realização de processos formativos, com vistas à reflexão sobre o fazer docente, pode sensibilizar os professores a desenvolver um ensino de Ciências contextualizado e próximo da realidade dos alunos.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES Bertha Lutz was a Brazilian scientist, feminist, educator and politician who learned to study feminist life about the amphibian group. She was responsible for guaranteeing a series of civil and political rights for Brazilian women, among them, what gained more prominence was the right to vote for women conquered in 1932. In the field of Science, Bertha Lutz stood out in the area of zoology describing and cataloging species of anuran amphibians and publishing important studies on this group of animals. Through studies presented in the context of this research, gaps were identified with regard to pedagogical practices in the school context on Women in Science on Amphibian Teaching in the Early Years. Therefore, it is necessary to invest in didactic strategies that aim to fill these gaps in the school environment. Thus, TD didactics were carried out on the biography of a Didactic Sequence and it was carried out in the biography (it was a History of a Didactic Sequence and in science studies. The Didactic Sequence was organized in five moments, being a preliminary activity and four stages of Thus, it was discovered a year ago with students from the 3rd of Elementary School of a municipal school in Santa Maria - RS, in which it sought to investigate the conceptions about the application of the theme and later to publish the importance of the group of Anuran Amphibians and the The role of Women in Science In general, we identified the need for further study on the subject of this study through Science Teaching so that I - children understand that Science is human and historical production, II - that Women also were and are part of the History of Science and III - the importance of preserving and respecting the group of anuran Amphibians. From this study, it was possible to perceive that from the application of the SD, the children were sensitized in some way, as changes in perceptions were identified during the application process, such as, for example, the children mentioned the name of Bertha Lutz and of inventions carried out. by women during research stages when they are already familiar with the topic. The initial feeling of fear and disgust towards anuran amphibians disappeared as children began to understand the importance of this group of animals. However, he noticed that the image of Science was often associated with a male scientist, wearing a lab coat and carrying out experiments inside a laboratory. In this way, this research signals the need for discussions on the History of Science since the Early Years of Elementary School so that children know how to value Science as a human production also carried out by women in different places, times and areas of study. Therefore, from this study it was possible to divulge the story of a woman scientist and at the same time to propose didactic activities that sought to present the importance of the role of Women in Science and the group of Anuran Amphibians for the environment through the history of life and the studies by Bertha Lutz. Thus, it is concluded that, even if indirectly, Bertha Lutz made important contributions to Science Teaching possible. Bertha Lutz foi uma cientista, feminista, educadora e política brasileira que dedicou sua vida à luta feminista e aos estudos sobre o grupo dos Anfíbios anuros. Ela foi responsável por garantir uma série de direitos civis e políticos para as mulheres brasileiras, entre eles, o que ganhou mais destaque foi o direito ao voto feminino, conquistado no ano de 1932. No campo da Ciência, Bertha Lutz destacou-se na área de zoologia, descrevendo e catalogando espécies de Anfíbios anuros e publicando importantes estudos sobre esse grupo de animais. Através de estudos apresentados no contexto desta pesquisa, foram identificadas lacunas no que diz respeito às práticas pedagógicas no contexto escolar sobre Mulheres na Ciência e sobre o Ensino de Anfíbios anuros nos Anos Iniciais. Para tanto, torna-se necessário investir em estratégias didáticas que visam preencher essas lacunas no âmbito escolar. Desse modo, foi realizada uma Transposição Didática (TD) sobre a biografia de Bertha Lutz e, posteriormente, foi planejada uma Sequência Didática (SD) balizada na história e nos estudos da cientista. A Sequência Didática foi organizada em cinco momentos, sendo uma atividade preliminar e quatro etapas de aplicação. Desse modo, a aplicação da Sequência Didática ocorreu com estudantes do 3° Ano do Ensino Fundamental, de uma escola municipal de Santa Maria – RS, na qual buscou-se investigar suas concepções acerca da temática deste estudo e, na sequência, divulgar a importância do grupo dos Anfíbios anuros e o papel das Mulheres na Ciência. De maneira geral, identificou-se a necessidade de maiores aprofundamentos sobre a temática deste estudo por meio do Ensino de Ciências para que: I- as crianças compreendam que a Ciência é produção humana e histórica; II - de que as Mulheres também fizeram e fazem parte da História da Ciência; e. III - da importância de se preservar e respeitar o grupo dos Anfíbios anuros. A partir deste estudo, foi possível perceber que a partir da aplicação da SD as crianças foram sensibilizadas de algum modo, pois foram identificadas mudanças de percepções durante o processo de aplicação, como, por exemplo, as crianças citaram o nome de Bertha Lutz e de invenções realizadas por mulheres durante as etapas da pesquisa, quando já familiarizadas com a temática. O sentimento inicial de medo e nojo em relação aos Anfíbios anuros foi desaparecendo, à medida que as crianças foram compreendendo a importância desse grupo de animais. Entretanto, percebe-se que a imagem da Ciência foi associada frequentemente a um cientista homem, vestindo jaleco e realizando experimentos dentro de um laboratório. Desse modo, esta pesquisa sinaliza a necessidade de discussões sobre a História da Ciência desde os Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental, para que as crianças saibam valorizar a Ciência como produção humana também realizada por mulheres, em diversos locais, tempos e áreas de estudo. Portanto, a partir deste estudo foi possível divulgar a história de uma mulher cientista e ao mesmo tempo propor atividades didáticas que buscassem apresentar a importância do papel das Mulheres na Ciência e do grupo dos Anfíbios anuros para o meio ambiente, através da história de vida e dos estudos de Bertha Lutz. Desse modo, conclui-se que, mesmo que de forma indireta, Bertha Lutz possibilitou importantes contribuições para o Ensino de Ciências.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES Among the characteristics which define educational environments – from the professional formations to the teaching on the Basic Education – is the predisposition to collective work. In this bias, are studied Communities of Practice (CoP), which are defined as a group of individuals who interacts according to a theme/interest, participating of collaboration processes, through shared knowledge, resources and practices, to construct both personal and collective knowledge. Under this perspective, we aim to analyze possible spaces/moments occupied by teachers who actuate on the Basic Education that may constitute a Community of Practice relevant to teaching practice and qualification. To achieve it, we have the following specific objectives: (a) map the potential school`s spaces and moments which are close and/or far from the formation and maintenance of a Community of Practice; (b) investigate these spaces contributions` to the teachers` qualification and; (c) describe the process of self-formation, as a researcher, inside a CoP. This research effort, of a qualitative-quantitative imprint, consists of generating data by means of survey questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with teachers who actively work on the Basic Education. To make these materials we adopted the three dimensions of practice – mutual engagement, joint undertaking and shared repertoire – and the senses of identity and belonging. Starting from the generated data, we employed the content analysis to investigate and process data. We inferred that all school spaces studied here have potential to be a Community of Practice, some with bigger nuisances, other quite close of being a CoP themselves. Amongst the furthest from the formative axis of a CoP, we find the “collegiates and commissions” and “parents and teachers’ meetings”. As the constituents of a CoP, presenting and reaffirming all the necessary formative axis, we obtained “pedagogical formations” and “pedagogical meetings”. As we pored over the second one, which had the highest positive frequency related to the CoP axis, we confirmed with the teachers its constitution, presenting the three dimensions of practice and strongly evidenced identity and belonging` senses. As a result of this, the “pedagogical meetings” have proven themselves to be relevant to the teachers` qualification, being capable of promoting their identity and belonging senses towards their school and community, study other areas, optimize their time of study and planning, acquiring new knowledge, among others. It is also asserted by this dissertation`s author, on an auto-bibliographical exercise, that being in a CoP has allowed working in a collective and collaborative manner, has motivated her to be and stay in graduate school, has favored spontaneous and clear learning about the Science Education area. Therefore, schools and universities that enjoy the use of a CoP to form groups, concede to teachers and students countless moments of qualification which assists the enhancement of teacher` praxis, conviviality with the collective and growth as a human being, as well as motivate them to recognize themselves as active participants of a society and of a democratic education. Dentre as características que definem os ambientes educacionais - desde as formações profissionais até a atuação docente na Educação Básica - está a predisposição ao trabalho coletivo. Neste viés, são estudadas as Comunidades de Prática (CoP), que se caracterizam por um grupo de indivíduos que interagem de acordo com um tema/interesse, participando de processos de colaboração, por meio do compartilhamento de conhecimentos, recursos e práticas, para a construção de conhecimento tanto pessoal quanto coletivo. Sob este olhar, objetivamos analisar que espaços/momentos ocupados por professores atuantes na Educação Básica podem constituir uma Comunidade de Prática relevante para o trabalho e qualificação docente. Para tal, temos os seguintes objetivos específicos: (a) mapear os potenciais espaços e momentos escolares que se aproximam e/ou se distanciam da formação e manutenção de uma Comunidade de Prática; (b) investigar as contribuições destes espaços para a qualificação docentes e; (c) retratar o processo de autoformação, enquanto pesquisadora, dentro de uma CoP. Este esforço de pesquisa, de viés qualitativo-quantitativo, consiste na produção de dados por meio de questionários survey e entrevistas semiestruturadas com professores em atuação na Educação Básica. Para a confecção destes materiais adotamos as três dimensões da prática - engajamento mútuo, empreendimento conjunto e repertório compartilhado - e o senso de pertencimento. A partir dos dados gerados, empregamos a análise de conteúdo para investigação e tratamento. Inferimos que todos os ambientes escolares aqui estudados têm potencial para serem uma Comunidades de Prática, alguns com maiores percalços, outros muito próximos de já o serem. Entre os mais distantes dos eixos formadores de uma CoP, encontramos os “Colegiados e Comissões” e as “Reuniões de pais e mestres”. Já entre os constituidores de uma CoP, com todos os eixos da CoP presentes e reafirmados, obtivemos as “Formações Pedagógicas'' e as “Reuniões Pedagógicas”. Ao nos debruçarmos sobre a segunda, que continha as maiores frequências positivas sobre os eixos das CoP, confirmamos com os professores sua constituição, apresentando as três dimensões da prática e o senso de identidade e pertencimento fortemente evidenciados. Em consequência a isso, as Reuniões Pedagógicas demonstraram-se relevantes para a qualificação docente, podendo promover o senso de pertencimento à sua escola e à comunidade, estudar outras áreas, otimizar tempo de estudo e planejamento, adquirir novos conhecimentos, dentre outros. Também é colocado pela autora desta dissertação, em um exercício autobiográfico, que trabalhar em uma CoP oportunizou trabalhar de forma coletiva e colaborativa com o outro, motivou a estar e continuar na pós-graduação, favoreceu a aprendizagem espontânea e clara sobre a área de Educação em Ciências. Dessa forma, as escolas e universidades, ao desfrutarem de uma CoP para a formação de grupos, concedem aos professores e estudantes inúmeros momentos de qualificações, que auxiliam no aprimoramento da práxis docente, do convívio com o coletivo e do crescimento como ser humano, bem como motivam a reconhecerem-se como participantes ativos de uma sociedade e de uma educação democrática.

Access to basic education, although it does not necessarily express the recognition and reduction of social inequality, seems to be the safest and most egalitarian path in the construction of society. However, it is not always in tune with the conditions of student permanence and success in school. Therefore, the general objective of this study was to develop, implement and evaluate strategies to combat school dropout, through text messages, to contribute to the permanence and success of students in Integrated High School. The research is quantitative and applied in nature, associated with the experimental level of investigation. Initially, a scientometric study associated with the theme of school dropout in high school was carried out, rescuing the academic productions from 2005 to 2019, from the Graduate Programs of the five Federal Universities of RS. Then, an investigation was developed involving the sending of text messages built on the Theory of Self-Determination and sent to students of the Integrated High School of IFFar, through the WhatsApp application. The first intervention took place during the second semester of 2019 and lasted 14 weeks, in which 99 students with low academic performance participated. Four groups were created: the control group, which did not receive the messages, and the groups that received the messages with different weekly frequencies (every 15 days; one message/week or three messages/week). The second intervention took place for eight weeks, in the second half of 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, characterized by remote teaching. In this study, 560 students from three years of high school participated, in which three messages were sent per week. Regarding the scientometric study, 15 productions related to school dropout in high school were found, making it possible to identify that the main causes for dropping out of school are low interest and the study/work relationship; the possible alternatives to reduce dropout are related to greater participation of the school community, the construction of pedagogical projects and curricular adequacy. Regarding the effect of the use of text messages on students' school performance, during face-to-face teaching, based on the status at the end of the school year, grade and number of failures in subjects, it was possible to prove that the use of text messages with motivation was relevant to improve students' school performance, especially those who received three messages per week. The results of the intervention, during remote teaching, showed that the use of text messages provided greater acceptance for students and an increase in their state of motivation. Similarly, it was possible to identify the development of basic psychological needs configured by the dimensions of autonomy, competence and belonging in students, after receiving the messages. Thus, it is concluded that the use of motivational messages via smartphone is an important alternative to prevent retention and dropout of students from Integrated High School, based on increased motivation, performance and engagement of students with the feasibility of inclusion in the action plan of institutional permanence and success programs. O acesso à educação básica, embora não expresse obrigatoriamente o reconhecimento e a redução da desigualdade social, parece ser o caminho mais seguro e igualitário na construção da sociedade. Todavia, ele nem sempre está em sintonia com as condições de permanência e êxito do estudante na escola. Sendo assim, o objetivo geral deste estudo foi desenvolver, implementar e avaliar estratégias de combate à evasão escolar, por meio de mensagens de texto, para contribuir com a permanência e o êxito de estudantes do Ensino Médio Integrado. A pesquisa é de natureza quantitativa e do tipo aplicada, associada ao nível experimental de investigação. Inicialmente, foi realizado um estudo cienciométrico associado ao tema evasão escolar no ensino médio, resgatando as produções acadêmicas de 2005 a 2019, oriundas dos Programas de Pós-Graduação das cinco universidades Federais do RS. Em seguida, foi desenvolvida uma investigação envolvendo o envio de mensagens de texto construídas com base na Teoria da Autodeterminação e enviadas aos estudantes do Ensino Médio Integrado do IFFar, pelo aplicativo WhatsApp. A primeira intervenção ocorreu durante o segundo semestre de 2019 e teve a duração de 14 semanas, na qual participaram 99 estudantes com baixo rendimento escolar. Foram criados quatro grupos: grupo controle, que não recebeu as mensagens e os grupos que receberam as mensagens com diferentes frequências semanais (a cada 15 dias; uma mensagem/semana ou três mensagens/semana). A segunda intervenção ocorreu durante oito semanas, no segundo semestre de 2020, em meio a Pandemia da COVID-19, caracterizada pelo ensino remoto. Nesse estudo, participaram 560 estudantes dos três anos do ensino médio, na qual foram enviadas três mensagens por semana. Em relação ao estudo cienciométrico, foram encontradas 15 produções relacionadas à evasão escolar no ensino médio, sendo possível identificar que as principais razões para o abandono escolar são o baixo interesse e a relação estudo/trabalho; já as possíveis alternativas para diminuir a evasão relacionam-se com a maior participação da comunidade escolar, a construção de projetos pedagógicos e a adequação curricular. Em relação ao efeito do uso de mensagens de texto no desempenho escolar dos estudantes, durante o ensino presencial, baseado no status ao final do ano letivo, nota e número de reprovações em disciplinas, foi possível comprovar que o uso de mensagens de texto com caráter motivacional foi relevante para melhorar o desempenho escolar dos estudantes, com destaque para aqueles que receberam três mensagens por semana. Os resultados da intervenção, durante o ensino remoto, evidenciaram que o uso de mensagens de texto proporcionou maior acolhimento dos estudantes e aumento do seu estado de motivação. De forma semelhante, foi possível identificar o desenvolvimento das necessidades psicológicas básicas configuradas pelas dimensões de autonomia, competência e pertencimento nos estudantes, após o recebimento das mensagens. Assim, conclui-se que o uso de mensagens motivacionais via smartphone, configura-se como uma importante alternativa na prevenção à retenção e evasão escolar de estudantes do Ensino Médio Integrado, baseado no aumento da motivação, do desempenho e engajamento dos estudantes com viabilidade de inclusão no plano de ações dos programas de permanência e êxito institucionais.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES The area of Sciences in general, and Biology in particular, are of great relevance for the improvement of knowledge and articulation with the experiences involving the environment, human development, technological transformations, among other topics. As the subject of study, we chose the Fungi Kingdom, in the opportunity to analyze the teaching landscape of this Kingdom in basic education and to develop, apply and analyze a diversified and contextualized didactic sequence to assist teachers in their teaching practice. In my teaching practice, I notice how students have difficulties in recognizing, characterizing and importance related to fungi. For this, knowing the organization of content in Textbooks (LD) and lesson plans from the Teacher's Portal (PP) provides educators with resources to use in the classroom. Three approaches to the Fungi Kingdom in the PP lesson plans and in Science textbooks for the seventh year of Elementary School, in addition to the work guidelines on this subject according to the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) were analyzed. The memories of high school students, brought from elementary school, were investigated through the use of the digital resource word clouds and the effects of a didactic sequence planned according to the Three Pedagogical Moments (DELIZOICOV and ANGOTTI, 1990) as a teaching strategy. of the Kingdom Fungi content. The comparative analysis of what is available in textbooks and lesson plans with what is presented in the BNCC shows a decrease in the approaches of the Fungi Kingdom, limiting them only to the food chains studied in the fourth year of Elementary School. It is important to include digital technologies in educational contexts, as they allow for greater diversity and integration of activities, including retrieving memories, dialogued lectures and more contextualized practical classes. The discussion using word cloud results brought to the classroom a more active, communicative environment, with greater mobilization of students to perform tasks and a better disposition for discussion and information exchange. The teacher's work is constantly being evaluated and updated. The search and use of new resources and methodologies provide greater motivation for student learning. The path through the analysis of the teaching of the Fungi Kingdom still needs to be explored. The contributions of this thesis open the way for new research and discussions. A área de Ciências em geral, e a Biologia em particular, são de grande relevância para o aprimoramento dos conhecimentos e articulação com as vivências e experiências envolvendo o meio ambiente, o desenvolvimento humano, transformações tecnológicas entre outras temáticas. Como temática de estudo escolhemos o Reino Fungi, na oportunidade de analisar o panorama de ensino desse Reino na educação básica e elaborar, aplicar e analisar uma sequência didática diversificada e contextualizada para auxiliar os professores em sua prática docente. Na minha prática docente percebo como os alunos apresentam dificuldades no reconhecimento, caracterização e importâncias relacionadas aos fungos. Para isso, conhecer a organização dos conteúdos nos Livros Didáticos (LD) e planos de aula do Portal do Professor (PP) oportuniza aos educadores recursos para utilização na sala de aula. Três abordagens sobre o Reino Fungi nos planos de aula do PP e em LD de Ciências do sétimo ano do Ensino Fundamental além das orientações de trabalho desse assunto segundo a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) foram analisadas. As memórias dos estudantes de Ensino Médio, trazidas do Ensino Fundamental foram investigadas por meio da utilização do recurso digital nuvens de palavras e os efeitos de uma sequência didática planejada de acordo com os Três Momentos Pedagógicos (DELIZOICOV e ANGOTTI, 1990) como estratégia de ensino do conteúdo Reino Fungi. A análise comparativa do que está disponível nos LD e nos planos de aulas com o que se apresenta na BNCC mostra uma diminuição das abordagens do Reino Fungi limitando-os apenas as cadeias alimentares estudadas no quarto ano do Ensino Fundamental. É importante incluir as tecnologias digitais em contextos educativos, pois permitem uma maior diversidade e integração de atividades, incluindo resgate de memórias, aulas expositivas dialogadas e aulas práticas mais contextualizadas. A discussão usando resultados de nuvens de palavras trouxe para a sala de aula um ambiente mais ativo, comunicativo, com maior mobilização dos alunos para a realização de tarefas e melhor disposição para discussão e trocas de informações. O trabalho do professor está em constante avaliação e atualização. A busca e o uso de novos recursos e metodologias proporcionam maior motivação para a aprendizagem dos alunos. O percurso pela análise do ensino do Reino Fungi ainda precisa ser explorado. As contribuições dessa tese abrem caminhos para novas pesquisas e discussões.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES The teaching of chemistry enables a broad contextualization with the students' reality, and in integrated technical high school, this possibility is greater, since it can be articulated with themes related to the technological axes of the courses. However, many times, in the classroom, chemistry is seen by students as one of the most complex subjects to understand, because they receive the concepts ready, in order to just exercise repetition, without reflection and contextualization. In this sense, it becomes necessary to evaluate how this curriculum component is being addressed in integrated technical high school, whether there is integration of the content worked in the subjects with vocational training. Therefore, the objective of this work is to investigate how the process of teaching chemistry occurs throughout the Integrated Technical Course in Agricultural and Livestock Husbandry at the Instituto Federal Farroupilha Campus São Vicente do Sul, and in light of this, propose the development of a didactic activity notebook for use by the teacher in the classroom, introducing the problematization of themes and the integration of the basic area with the technical area. The methodology used for this research was a case study with a quali-quantitative approach. Thus, the research is being developed in three stages: 1) a scientometric analysis of academic productions about the theme of this study; 2) a semi-structured interview with the chemistry teachers; and 3) the elaboration of a didactic activity notebook. The results of the first stage of this study indicate that 41.93% of the dissertations and theses do not use themes as a form of contextualization and problematization in the teaching of chemistry. As for the results of the second stage, they show that the chemistry teachers of this institution do not include contextualization and curriculum integration as a priority in their lesson plans. Thus, these results reinforce the importance of developing the last stage, which is the development of the didactic activity booklet, which is expected to effectively assist in the exercise of teaching and learning of students, as well as establish scientific and technological relations in the practice of chemistry. O ensino da química possibilita uma vasta contextualização com a realidade dos educandos, sendo que no ensino médio técnico integrado, essa possibilidade é maior, uma vez que se pode articular com temáticas relacionadas aos eixos tecnológicos dos cursos. Porém, muitas vezes, em sala de aula a química é vista pelos alunos como uma das disciplinas mais complexas de se compreender, pois estes recebem os conceitos prontos, a fim de apenas exercitar a repetição, sem reflexão e contextualização. Nesse sentido, torna-se necessário avaliar como este componente curricular está sendo abordado no ensino médio técnico integrado, se ocorre a integração dos conteúdos trabalhados nas disciplinas com a formação profissional. Diante disso, o objetivo do trabalho é investigar como ocorre o processo de ensino da química ao longo do curso Técnico Integrado em Agropecuária no Instituto Federal Farroupilha Campus São Vicente do Sul, e diante disto, propor o desenvolvimento de um caderno de atividades didáticas para uso do professor em sala de aula, introduzindo a problematização de temáticas e a integração da área básica com a técnica. Como metodologia para esta pesquisa utilizou-se o estudo de caso com abordagem quali-quantitativa. Sendo assim, a pesquisa foi desenvolvida em três etapas: 1) análise cienciométrica de produções acadêmicas sobre a temática deste estudo; 2) entrevista semiestruturada com os docentes da disciplina de química; e 3) elaboração de um caderno de atividades didáticas. Os resultados encontrados referentes à análise da primeira etapa deste estudo apontam que 41,93% das dissertações e teses não utilizam temáticas como forma de contextualização e problematização no ensino de química. Quanto aos resultados da segunda etapa, estes demonstram que os docentes de química da referida instituição não incluem a contextualização e integração curricular como prioritários em seus planejamentos de aula. Desta forma, tais resultados reforçam a importância do desenvolvimento do produto educacional, o caderno de atividades didáticas, o qual irá auxiliar de maneira efetiva a integração e a contextualização dos conteúdos de química, bem como, estabelecer as relações científicas e tecnológicas no exercício da prática docente.

One of the challenges faced by small municipalities is the implementation of public policies in order to solve problems related to basic sanitation. In this context, the Municipal Basic Sanitation Plan is mandatory provided for in Federal Law 11.445/2007, so it is of paramount importance for plans to be prepared in accordance with the local reality. This study aims to identify and analyze the PMSB of the 27 municipalities in Northwest Rio Grande. The research was carried out in an exploratory way, with a qualitative approach, in order to provide greater familiarity with the problem, with a view to making it more explicit. The methodology was divided into three stages: a reference research and a documental research, with reading of the Municipal Basic Sanitation Plans (stage 1), through the application of a simplified questionnaire with the municipal responsible for the respective documents (stage 2) and technical evaluation of the PMSB, through a methodology adapted from the Ministry of Cities roadmap (step 3), aiming to evaluate the compliance of plans according to minimum content, provided for in Law Nº. 11.445/2007 and in Law Nº. 14.026/2020. Among the difficulties faced are: not having the document digitally; claiming that the PMSB does not exist and confusing it with the PGRS. The 27 municipalities responded to the simplified questionnaire and, in general, it was observed that although those responsible had participated in the committees, the information was not always clear, which indicates that there was probably little active participation of the holder in the elaboration of the plan. With the tool adapted from the Ministry of Cities roadmap (2016), it was possible to evaluate 23 municipalities, reaching as a final conclusion that 12 municipalities (52.17%), the Plan satisfactorily contemplated minimum content; 5 municipalities (21.74%), the Plan contemplated the content in a moderate way, it was recommended to anticipate the revision of the document; and 6 municipalities (26.10%), the Plan contemplated a small part of the minimum content, it was recommended to immediately review the document. As for the tool used, it was of paramount importance to obtain the overall result, it is recommended to use it as a primary instrument serving as a basis for performing other detailed analyzes regarding the quality of content in the PMSB. The use of the methodology adapted from the Ministry of Cities (2016), named in this study as an analytical tool for simplified analysis of the minimum content of the PMSB, which exclusively identifies the existence of the minimum content, but does not explore the results obtained by each municipality. In this sense, it is essential that new research be directed towards measuring the performance of actions carried out in the long term, adopting qualitative and quantitative indicators for this comparison. Um dos desafios enfrentados pelos municípios de pequeno porte é a implantação de políticas públicas com finalidade de solucionar problemas relacionados ao saneamento básico. Nesse contexto o Plano Municipal de Saneamento Básico é obrigatório previsto na Lei Federal 11.445/2007, assim é de suma importância para que sejam elaborados planos de acordo com a realidade local. Este estudo tem como finalidade identificar e analisar o PMSB dos 27 municípios do Noroeste Rio-Grandense. A pesquisa foi realizada de forma exploratória, com abordagem qualitativa, a fim de proporcionar maior familiaridade com o problema, com vistas a torná-lo mais explícito. A metodologia foi dividida em três etapas: pesquisa referencial e uma pesquisa do tipo documental, com leitura dos Planos Municipais de Saneamento Básico (etapa1), mediante aplicação de um questionário simplificado junto aos responsáveis municipais pelos respectivos documentos (etapa 2) e avaliação técnica dos PMSB, através de metodologia adaptada do roteiro do Ministério das Cidades (etapa 3), objetivando avaliar a conformidade dos planos de acordo com conteúdo mínimo, previsto na Lei nº 11.445/2007 e na Lei nº 14.026/2020. Dentre as dificuldades enfrentadas cita-se: não ter o documento de modo digital; alegar não existir o PMSB e confundir com o PGRS. Os 27 municípios responderam ao questionário simplificado e de modo geral, observou-se que embora os responsáveis tenham participado dos comitês, as informações nem sempre estavam claras, o que indica que provavelmente houve pouca participação ativa do titular na elaboração do plano. Com a ferramenta adaptada do roteiro do Ministério das Cidades (2016) foi possível avaliar 23 municípios, obtendo como conclusão final que 12 municípios, (52,17%), o Plano contemplou conteúdo mínimo de forma satisfatória; 5 municípios (21,74%), o Plano contemplou o conteúdo de forma moderada, recomendou-se antecipar a revisão do documento; e 6 municípios (26,10%), o Plano contemplou pequena parte do conteúdo mínimo, recomendou-se revisar imediatamente o documento. Quanto à ferramenta utilizada foi de suma importância para obtenção do resultado global, recomenda-se usa-la como instrumento primário servindo de base para realizar demais análises detalhadas referentes à qualidade de conteúdo nos PMSB. O uso da metodologia adaptada do Ministério das Cidades (2016), nomeada neste estudo como ferramenta analítica para análise simplificada do conteúdo mínimo do PMSB, ao qual identifica exclusivamente a existência do conteúdo mínimo, porém não explora os resultados obtidos por cada municipalidade. Neste sentido é imprescindível que novas pesquisas sejam direcionadas para a mensuração do desempenho das ações efetuadas a longo prazo, adotando indicadores qualitativos e quantitativos para esta comparação.

The present research aims to investigate the relationships between declarative and procedural aspects of Mathematics undergraduates participating in the Programa Residência Pedagógica (PRP) at Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), RS, and its implications in practice for initial teacher training before and after participating in workshops on Trends in Mathematics Education. The PRP is a program proposed by the Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior, (CAPES) which aims to support Higher Education Institutions with new projects that enable different ways of stimulating, integrating, modifying theory and practice in face-to-face and distance teaching courses, integrating the University with the public networks of Basic Education. In this thesis, it is assumed that actions in initial training, such as workshops, enable dialogue between scientific knowledge and training courses with direct implications for teaching practice. This work is part of the field of initial teacher education and is based on the Theory of Education developed by Novak. In general terms, it is a research with a qualitative, exploratory approach, of the multiple case study type that used participant observation, open questions, elaboration of lesson plans through Gowin's V Diagram and conceptual maps (CM) as research instruments to analyze the activities developed over 18 months by three Mathematics undergraduates participating in the PRP/UFSM, inserted in the three schools covered by the program in the period between 2018 and 2019. In order to identify the relationships between declarative and procedural aspects in initial teacher education, the activities were analyzed according to Novak's five elements of Education (teacher, learner, subject matter, context, and evaluation), taken in this work as categories of analysis. The results show that the declarative aspects of the residents are not always reflected in the procedures, either due to difficulties in the context, due to the lack of interaction between students and the teacher, which makes it difficult to take actions that favor the teaching and learning of concepts. Furthermore, it was found that in only one of the interventions of the three residents, the assessment took place throughout the educational process, and the other interventions focused on conventional tests and tests. It is observed that the actions developed within the scope of the PRP/UFSM, allowed the resident undergraduates to reflect on teaching, the teaching and learning process supported by the diversity of methodologies presented in the workshops, whether for the planning of practical and evaluation activities, in theoretical studies and exchange of experiences. A presente pesquisa tem por objetivo investigar as relações entre aspectos declarativos e procedimentais de licenciandos em Matemática participantes do Programa Residência Pedagógica (PRP) da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM, RS), e suas implicações na prática para a formação inicial docente antes e após a participação em oficinas a respeito de Tendências da Educação Matemática. O PRP é um programa proposto pela Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) que visa apoiar Instituições de Ensino Superior com novos projetos que possibilitem diferentes formas de estimular, integrar, modificar a teoria e prática nos cursos de Licenciaturas, realizando a integração entre Universidade e redes públicas de Ensino Básico. Nesta tese, parte-se do pressuposto de que ações na formação inicial, tais como oficinas, possibilitam o diálogo entre o conhecimento cientifico e os cursos de formação com implicações diretas na prática docente. Este trabalho se insere no campo da formação inicial de professores e está fundamentado na Teoria da Educação desenvolvida por Novak. Em termos gerais, trata-se de uma pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, exploratória, do tipo estudo de casos múltiplos que se utilizou de observação participante, questões abertas, elaboração de planos de aula por meio de Diagrama V (de Gowin) e mapas conceituais (MC) como instrumentos de investigação para analisar as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo de 18 meses por três licenciandos de Matemática participantes do PRP/UFSM, inseridos nas três escolas contempladas pelo programa no período entre 2018 e 2019. Com o intuito de identificar as relações entre os aspectos declarativos e procedimentais na formação inicial de professores, as atividades foram analisadas segundo os cinco elementos da Educação (professor, aluno, currículo, contexto e avaliação), de Novak, tomadas como categorias de análise. Os resultados evidenciam que os aspectos declarativos dos residentes nem sempre se refletem nos procedimentais, seja por dificuldades do contexto, pela falta de interação dos alunos com o professor, o que dificulta ações que favoreçam o ensino e aprendizagem dos conceitos. Ademais, verificou-se que apenas em uma das intervenções dos três residentes a avaliação ocorreu ao longo do processo educacional e as demais intervenções focalizaram em provas e testes convencionais. Observou-se que as ações desenvolvidas no âmbito do PRP/UFSM propiciaram aos residentes a reflexão sobre a docência e o processo de ensino e aprendizagem subsidiado pela diversidade de metodologias apresentadas nas oficinas seja para o planejamento de atividades práticas e de avaliação, em seus estudos teóricos e troca de experiências.

The Tutorial Education Program (PET) is an already consolidated federal government program aimed at undergraduate students that provides important experiences for the academic trajectory of its members. This work presents a study on the activities developed by PET groups related to High School, as well as the development of a proposal based on the PET model for this level of education. The general objective was to investigate the contribution of the insertion of Tutorial Education in High School. The research was bibliographic and field research of the experience report type. Data collection was carried out in different databases such as Capes Periodicals, Scielo, Academic Google and Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, and with the use of questionnaires. The work proposal was planned by the researcher professor. The development was carried out in 4 stages: i) presentation of the Tutorial Education model called PET-Junior, aimed at MS students for PETians and for MS classes, ii) organization of PET-Júnior activities; iii) application and iv) proposal evaluation. 10 petianos and 5 students from the 1st year of EM participated in the project. It was possible to see that the PET model is a model to be followed as an innovative experience, which contributes positively to the construction of learning and development of the members. With the development of this work, it was possible to reflect and discuss on topics relevant to Science Teaching, Tutorial Education at different levels of education, PET and its importance in undergraduate and EM, active methodologies, comprehensive training and global development of students in EM. O Programa de Educação Tutorial (PET) é um programa do governo federal já consolidado destinado à estudantes de graduação que proporciona vivências importantes para a trajetória acadêmica de seus integrantes. Este trabalho apresenta um estudo sobre as atividades desenvolvidas por grupos do PET relacionadas ao Ensino Médio, assim como o desenvolvimento de uma proposta a partir do modelo do PET para este nível de ensino. O objetivo geral foi investigar a contribuição da inserção da Educação Tutorial no Ensino Médio. A pesquisa teve cunho bibliográfico e pesquisa de campo do tipo relato de experiência. A coleta de dados foi realizada em diferentes bases de dados como Periódicos da Capes, Scielo, Google acadêmico e Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações, e com a utilização de questionários. A proposta educacional foi planejada pela professora pesquisadora. O desenvolvimento foi realizado em 4 etapas: I) apresentação do modelo Educação Tutorial denominado PET- Júnior, destinado a alunos de EM para petianos e para as turmas de EM, II) organização das atividades e minisseminários do PET-Júnior; III) aplicação e IV) avaliação da proposta. Participaram do projeto 10 petianos e 5 alunos do 1º ano do EM. Foi possível perceber que o modelo PET é um modelo a ser seguido como uma experiência inovadora, que contribui positivamente para a construção da aprendizagem e desenvolvimento dos integrantes. Com o desenvolvimento deste trabalho foi possível refletir e discutir sobre temas relevantes para o Ensino de Ciências, a Educação Tutorial em diferentes níveis de ensino, o PET e sua importância na graduação e no EM, as metodologias ativas, a formação integral e o desenvolvimento global dos estudantes no EM.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES Nowadays, teaching is still developed in a traditional, descriptive, bookish way, with an emphasis on the memorization of concepts, which results in decontextualized contents and without any connection with social, technological and scientific issues. But this can be changed, mainly, through the initial training of teachers, an important stage in the life of a future educator who aims to teach in an integral, responsible way and with a desire to collaborate in the citizen formation of his students. Thus, this research proposed and evaluated the use of extension didactic activities with the teaching public, which combine teaching, research and extension and were anchored in problem-based learning, in which the student is seen as the center of the teaching process. - apprenticeship. The research was divided into two phases, the first being the planning of an extension notebook with teaching material aimed at initial and continuing teacher education, and the second the development and application of an extension course on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) with synchronous and asynchronous meetings, for undergraduates from undergraduate courses in Pedagogy and in the areas of Natural Sciences. The work aimed to present to the teaching public a sequence of activities, designed to teach the topic of skin cancer to the public of elementary school students. And yet, through the extension course, encourage and train initial and continued teacher training to work with active methodologies such as the ABP. As a result of this research, we hope to collaborate with the initial and continuing education of Basic Education teachers, structuring and planning the class with a focus on the Common National Curriculum Base, in order to improve the pedagogical practice of these educators. Na contemporaneidade, o ensino ainda é desenvolvido de forma tradicional, descritivo, livresco e com ênfase na memorização de conceitos, o que resulta em conteúdos descontextualizados e sem vinculação com questões sociais, tecnológicas e científicas. Mas isso pode ser mudado, principalmente através da formação inicial de professores, uma etapa importante na vida de um futuro educador que almeja exercer a docência de forma íntegra, responsável e com desejo de colaborar na formação cidadã dos seus alunos. Assim, esta pesquisa propôs e avaliou o uso de atividades didáticas extensionistas com o público docente, que aliam o ensino, a pesquisa e a extensão, e foram ancoradas em uma aprendizagem baseada em problemas, na qual o aluno é visto como o centro do processo de ensino-aprendizado. A pesquisa foi dividida em dois capítulos, sendo o primeiro o planejamento de um caderno de extensão, com material didático voltado à formação inicial e continuada de professores e o segundo, centra-se no desenvolvimento e na aplicação de um curso de extensão sobre a Aprendizagem baseada em Problemas (ABP), com encontros síncronos e assíncronos, para graduandos de cursos de licenciatura em Pedagogia e das áreas das Ciências da Natureza. O trabalho teve como objetivo apresentar ao público docente uma sequência de atividades, planejadas para a didatização do tema câncer de pele, ao público de alunos do ensino básico. E, ainda, através do curso de extensão, incentivar e capacitar a formação docente inicial e continuada a trabalhar com metodologias ativas, como a ABP. Como resultado desta pesquisa, espera-se colaborar com a formação inicial e continuada dos professores da Educação Básica, apresentando e construindo planejamentos de aula com foco na Base Nacional Comum Curricular, de modo a aprimorar a prática pedagógica desses educadores.

Water is the most important natural resource for the balance of life on Earth and has an unquestionable importance for human health. Because of this, knowing the characteristics of the water courses used for the most diverse activities, such as irrigation, recreation, capture, treatment and subsequent destination for human consumption, among others, is exceptionally important in order to guarantee water in the necessary quality and quantity for the full enjoyment of human and animal life. However, a feature of water that has been extensively studied in recent years is the presence of antibiotic-resistant bacteria that threatens global public health. Thus, this environmental research aimed to evaluate the quali-quantitative distribution of Escherichia coli (E. coli) along the Lajeado Pardo, northwest of Rio Grande do Sul, and to analyze the susceptibility profile of bacteria to antimicrobial agents. Lajeado Pardo is covered by the drainage of five watersheds that are part of the Várzea River Basin, and its route was divided into four sampling sectors, where after collection, isolation, biochemical tests and quantification, the E. coli strains were tested for their susceptibility profile to five antibiotics. The quantitative evaluation of E. coli was performed using the most probable number (MPN) methodology in 100 mL of water, with Colilert chromogenic medium. On the other hand, the qualitative evaluation was performed using the plate isolation methodology, using different selective media Lauryl Sulfate Broth (LSB), EC and Colilert. The isolated strains were submitted to biochemical tests (catalase test and Gram stain) to aid in the identification of E. coli. In addition, the E. coli strains isolated in the four sectors were tested for their susceptibility to ampicillin, amoxicillin clavulanate, gentamicin, ciprofloxacin and chloramphenicol. It was verified that 58.2% of the water samples were above the maximum limit allowed for the classification of the water body in class 2. The sector with the most expressive samples for E. coli was sector 1, next to the water catchment dam of the Riograndense Sanitation Company (CASAN). Regarding plate isolation and biochemical tests, the presence of E. coli was found in all four sectors and media. With the isolated strains, the antibiogram was carried out, and all isolates were resistant to Ampicillin, showing marked resistance to amoxicillin, clavulanate and ciprofloxacin, with gentamicin and chloramphenicol being the antibiotics that showed greater susceptibility to the tested strains. Furthermore, the study showed that the strains isolated from environmental samples when compared to each other, by sector and through the selective isolation medium, differed statistically. Collectively, this study provided baseline data on antibiotic resistance in Lajeado Pardo in the city of Frederico Westphalen, indicating that this stock may be a reservoir of antibiotic resistance, as multiresistant antibiotic-resistant strains of E. coli were found in this location, potentially presenting a risk to public health. A água é o recurso natural mais importante para o equilíbrio da vida na Terra e possui uma inquestionável importância para a saúde humana. Devido a isso, conhecer as características dos cursos da água utilizados para as mais diversas atividades, como irrigação, recreação, captação, tratamento e posterior destinação ao consumo humano, entre outros, é excepcionalmente importante para que se possa garantir água em qualidade e quantidade necessárias para o pleno gozo da vida dos seres humanos e animais. Contudo, uma característica da água que vem sendo muito estudada nos últimos anos é a presença de bactérias resistentes a antibióticos que ameaça a saúde pública mundial. Dessa forma, esta pesquisa ambiental teve por objetivo avaliar a distribuição quali-quantitativa de Escherichia coli (E. coli) ao longo do Lajeado Pardo, no noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul e analisar o perfil de suscetibilidade das bactérias frente a agentes antimicrobianos. O Lajeado Pardo é abrangido pelo desague de cinco microbacias que fazem parte da Bacia Hidrográfica do Rio Várzea, e seu percurso foi dividido em quatro setores de amostragem, onde após às coletas, isolamento, testes bioquímicos e quantificação, as cepas de E. coli foram testadas quanto ao seu perfil de suscetibilidade frente a cinco antibióticos. A avaliação quantitativa de E. coli foi realizada através da metodologia do número mais provável (NMP) em 100 mL de água, com meio cromogênico Colilert. Por outro lado, a avaliação qualitativa foi realizada com a metodologia de isolamento em placa, com a utilização de meios seletivos distintos Lauryl Sulfate Broth (LSB), EC e Colilert. As cepas isoladas foram submetidas a testes bioquímicos (teste da catalase e coloração de Gram), para auxiliar a identificação de E. coli. Além disso, as cepas de E. coli isoladas nos quatro setores foram testadas quanto a sua suscetibilidade frente a ampicilina, amoxicilina clavulanato, gentamicina, ciprofloxacina e cloranfenicol. Foi verificado que 58,2% das amostras de água estavam acima do limite máximo permitido para enquadramento do corpo hídrico em classe 2. O setor com as amostras mais expressivas para E. coli foi o setor 1, junto a represa de captação de água da Companhia Riograndense de Saneamento (CASAN). Com relação ao isolamento em placa e testes bioquímicos, em todos os quatro setores e meios foi constatada a presença de E. coli. Com as cepas isoladas, procedeu-se o antibiograma, sendo que todos os isolados foram resistentes a Ampicilina, mostrando resistência acentuada para amoxacilina clavulanato e ciprofloxacina, sendo a gentamicina e cloranfenicol os antibióticos que apresentaram maior suscetibilidade frente as cepas testadas. Além disso, o estudo mostrou que as cepas isoladas de amostras ambientais quando comparadas entre si, por setor e através do meio seletivo de isolamento, diferiram estatisticamente. Coletivamente, este estudo forneceu dados de base sobre a resistência aos antibióticos do Lajeado Pardo na cidade de Frederico Westphalen, indicando que esse manancial pode ser reservatório de resistência aos antibióticos, uma vez que foram encontradas cepas de E. coli multirresistente a antibióticos neste local, apresentando potencialmente um risco para a saúde pública.

Orange is one of the most commercialized fruits in the world, and have great importance for Brazilian exports, with its main processed products being essential oil and concentrated juice, however, its processing promotes the generation of large amounts of waste consisting of leftover fruit, which are currently used in animal nutrition, however, this residue can be reused as a source of organic matter in the soil. The objective of this work was to evaluate the chemical and microbiological quality of the soil with the incorporation of residue from the orange juice industry, as well as to evaluate the development and tolerance of Psidium guajava in soil contaminated with copper and with different doses of residue. In the first experiment, different concentrations of residue (bagasse) were incorporated into the soil (0% residue + 100% soil (control); 20% residue + 80% soil; 40% residue + 60% soil and 60 % of residue + 40% of soil), with 4 different evaluation periods, at 0, 60, 120 and 180 days after the implementation of the experiment, in which the chemical and microbiological quality of the soil was evaluated. In the second experiment, 3 doses of residue (bagasse) were incorporated into the soil (0, 25 and 50%) and subsequently contaminated with copper at concentrations of 0, 50, 100, 200 and 400 mg Cu.Kg-1 of compost, after stabilization of the metal, Psidium guajava (guava tree) was transplanted and after 100 days the plants and the compost were collected, and the contents were evaluated using tecnic of X-RFS of total copper in the soil and the contents of accumulated copper in the plant, it was also evaluated the development of plants and their tolerance to copper through the dry mass of the organs and the tolerance index. In the first experiment, the orange residue promoted improvements in microbiological and chemical quality, promoting an increase in the levels of macronutrients and zinc, and showed a reduction in the soil copper content, indicating that the organic matter incorporated into the soil in this experiment was able to retain copper. In the second experiment, the addition of copper promoted an increase in the total copper content in the compost, an increase in the accumulated copper content in the roots, aerial part and total and affected the development of guava tree, as well as the addition of orange bagasse. The translocation index decreased with the increase in copper contamination and the bioconcentration and bioaccumulation factors showed low efficiency of guava tree in translocating of metal. A laranja é uma das frutas mais comercializadas no mundo, e possui grande importância para a exportação brasileira, sendo seus principais produtos processados o óleo essencial e o suco concentrado, porém, seu processamento promove a geração de grandes quantidades de resíduos constituídos da sobra da fruta, que hoje são utilizados na nutrição animal, no entanto, este resíduo pode ser reutilizado como fonte de matéria orgânica ao solo. O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a qualidade química e microbiológica do solo com a incorporação de resíduo da indústria de suco de laranja, assim como, avaliar o desenvolvimento e a tolerância de Psidium guajava em solo contaminado com cobre e com diferentes doses de resíduo. No primeiro experimento fez-se a incorporação de diferentes concentrações de resíduo (bagaço) ao solo (0% de resíduo + 100% de solo (controle); 20% de resíduo + 80% de solo; 40% de resíduo + 60% de solo e 60% de resíduo + 40% de solo), com 4 períodos diferentes de avaliação, aos 0, 60, 120 e 180 dias após a implantação do experimento, nos quais se avaliou a qualidade química e microbiológica do solo. No segundo experimento, fez-se a incorporação de 3 doses de resíduo (bagaço) ao solo (0, 25 e 50%) e, posteriormente, contaminou-se com cobre, nas concentrações de 0, 50, 100, 200 e 400 mg Cu.Kg-1 de composto, após a estabilização do metal promoveu-se o transplantio de Psidium guajava (goiabeira) e após 100 dias coletou-se as plantas e o composto, sendo avaliado através de técnica de EDX os teores de cobre total no composto e os teores de cobre acumulado na planta, também avaliou-se o desenvolvimento das plantas e sua tolerância ao cobre através da massa seca dos órgãos e pelo índice de tolerância. No primeiro experimento o resíduo de laranja promoveu melhorias na qualidade microbiológica e química do solo, promovendo elevação nos teores de fósforo, potássio, cálcio, magnésio e zinco, e apresentou redução no teor de cobre, indicando que a matéria orgânica incorporada ao solo neste experimento foi capaz de reter cobre. No segundo experimento a adição de cobre promoveu aumento no teor de cobre total no composto, aumento no teor de cobre acumulado nas raízes, na parte aérea e total, e afetou o desenvolvimento da goiabeira, assim como a adição do bagaço da laranja. O índice de translocação apresentou decréscimo com o aumento da contaminação por cobre e os fatores de bioconcentração e bioacumulação mostraram baixa eficiência da goiabeira em translocar o metal.

The present work aims to analyzethe outcomes of a long-term project, called BioRevitArt, which integrates Science and Art, using mural painting. Second and third grade high school students from a state public school in São Gabriel/RS, guided by the Biology teacher, acted as protagonists in their learning. The basis of this work was researching and report writing. These activities provided information that supported the selection of elements that were represented on a mural on the classroom wall. The analysis of murals production process highlights: i) the description of the methodology employed in the mural production process as well as its application as a pedagogical tool; ii) the perception of the school teachers regarding the use of the murals as didactic resources, iii) the skills developed by students during the project executionand iv) the creation of an activity book, as a consequence of the existence of murals in the classroom. Factors such as student protagonism when it comes to the acquisition of skills and artistic productions strengthen the feeling of belonging to the school community. Such outcome is a highly desirable element for school-community integration, which is not easily manifested in traditional teaching situations. The investigation aimed on evaluating the effects of BioRevitArt on students and teachers. The students perception on the skillset and learning developed during the application of this project was assessed trough content analysis and discursive textual analysis. Using the collective subject discourse analysis, we evaluated the different perceptions and suggestions of the teachers, who did not participate in the execution of this project, but used or intended to use the murals as a pedagogical tool. The students' commitment to the BioRevitArt proposal and the intention expressed by the teachers to incorporate the murals produced as tools in their teaching strategies, suggests that the integration between science and art is useful to encourage interdisciplinarity and integral education proposals. It also became clear to us that the existence of murals inspired teachers to think about new didactic applications contributing for the renewal of pedagogical practices, stimulating innovative proposals in classroom. O presente trabalho tem como objeto de análise um projeto com vários anos de aplicação, denominado BioRevitArt, que integra Ciência e Arte, utilizando pintura mural. Os alunos do segundo e terceiro anos do ensino médio de uma escola pública estadual de São Gabriel/RS, orientados pela professora de Biologia, atuam como protagonistas de sua aprendizagem. A proposta da pintura mural é alicerçada em atividades de pesquisa sobre o tema que será desenvolvido e redação de um relatório. São essas atividades que permitem a seleção de informações que levarão a escolha dos elementos que serão representados em um mural na parede da sala de aula. A análise do processo de produção dos murais destaca: i) a descrição da metodologia utilizada na produção dos murais e sua aplicação com ferramenta pedagógica; ii) a percepção do uso dos murais como recurso didático pelos docentes da escola, iii) o desenvolvimento das habilidades dos alunos no decorrer do trabalho e iv) a criação de um caderno de atividades, como consequência da existência dos murais nas salas de aula. Fatores como protagonismo dos alunos na aquisição de habilidades e nas produções artísticas fortalecem o sentimento de pertencimento à comunidade escolar, elemento extremamente desejável para a integração escola-comunidade, mas que não se desenvolve facilmente em situações tradicionais de ensino. A investigação foi desenvolvida sobre os efeitos do BioRevitArt entre alunos e professores. Por meio da análise de conteúdo e análise textual discursiva foram investigadas as percepções dos estudantes sobre habilidades e aprendizagens no decorrer da participação no projeto. Utilizando a análise do discurso do sujeito coletivo, foram investigadas e analisadas as diversas percepções e sugestões dos professores da escola que não atuam na execução do projeto, mas que utilizam ou pretendem utilizar os murais como ferramenta pedagógica. O comprometimento dos estudantes com a proposta do BioRevitArt e as intenções manifestadas pelos docentes em utilizar os murais produzidos como uma estratégia de ensino evidenciam que a integração entre a ciência e arte é promissora para estimular a interdisciplinaridade e propostas de educação integral. Fica claro também que a existência dos murais inspira os professores a pensarem em novas aplicações didáticas, que colaboram para a renovação de práticas pedagógicas, estimulando propostas inovadoras na sala de aula.

This work consists in transforming corn starch and potato starch into organic cationic polymers by means of the cationization process and to evaluate its performance as a new cationic flocculant for use in water treatment, regarding turbidity and color removal. The cationization reactions were carried out through etherification on the starch, carried out with the reagent 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride (CHPTAC) and treated with 25% ethanol. Using the Jar test equipment, it was possible to simulate the coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation processes. It was concluded that the examined conditions of starch etherification guaranteed the preparation of cationic starches with the predefined degree of substitution (DS = 0.069-0.107). The use of cationic starches (corn and potato) as water flocculants in the removal of remaining color and turbidity from raw water on a laboratory scale demonstrated efficient performance, with the formation of flocs of sufficient size to be removed efficiently by the aggregation mechanism, and can be used as water flocculants. Este trabalho consiste em transformar o amido de milho e a fécula de batata em polímeros catiônicos orgânicos por meio do processo de cationização e avaliar o desempenho deste como um novo floculante catiônico para uso no tratamento de água, quanto a remoção de turbidez e cor. As reações de cationização foram realizadas através da eterificação no amido, realizado com o uso do reagente cloreto de 3-cloro-2-hidroxipropiltrimetilamônio (CHPTAC) e tratados com etanol 25%. Através do equipamento Jar test, foi possível simular os processos de coagulação, floculação e sedimentação. Concluiu-se que as condições examinadas de eterificação de amido garantiram a preparação de amidos catiônicos com o grau de substituição predefinido (DS = 0,069-0,107). O uso de amidos catiônicos (milho e batata) como floculantes de água, na remoção de cor e turbidez remanescente das águas brutas em escala laboratorial, demonstraram desempenho de eficiência, ocorrendo formação de flocos com tamanho suficiente para serem removidos com eficiência pelo mecanismo de agregação, podendo serem utilizados como floculantes de água.

Water supply in rural communities without access to treatment is a challenge to be overcome. In this perspective, a simple, accessible and easy-to-use technology, such as the domestic biological filter, maybe a viable alternative. The study aimed to evaluate the enzymatic activity by microorganisms involved in the filtration process in intermittent slow filters. The evaluation of microbial indicators in-depth in the filter medium was carried out through enzymatic tests according to the hydrolysis of fluorescein diacetate and the degradation of triphenyltetrazolium chloride, in addition to organic matter. Three columns (triplicate) were filled with Fine sand (d10 = 0.16 mm) with an initial filtration rate of 1.19 x10-4 m/s and another three columns (triplicate) with Medium sand (d10 = 0.45 mm) and initial filtration rate of 5.39 x10-4 m/s. The columns were operated with a downward flow regime and intermittent flow. Daily monitoring of raw water from a lake in a permanent preservation area and filtered water was carried out, according to physical parameters (turbidity, temperature, apparent and true color), chemical (dissolved oxygen, pH and electrical conductivity), and hydraulic (filtration rate and hydraulic conductivity), in a single filtration run (115 days). A statistical test was performed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) to compare means and significance using the Tukey test. Minor variations in water quality were observed during acclimatization phase of the columns. Afterwards, stability was favorable to microbiological development demonstrated with enzymatic tests. The particle size characteristics did not significantly differ between physical and chemical aspects of water quality. It was possible to notice microbiological activity along filters' depth through enzymatic assays and analysis of the organic matter related to biological clogging. Oscillation points of the identified concentrations are probably due to the particle size distribution used, which allowed the percolation of particles and microorganisms to deeper layers, resulting in internal clogging. It was found that the presence of dehydrogenase through TTC maintained oscillating concentrations in-depth. In the FDA's enzymatic hydrolysis assay, it was possible to visualize evidence of greater biological activity in the first layers of the filter media and its decay in-depth. It is concluded that under these hydraulic conditions, the filters can operate for long periods, presenting low clogging and providing a longer useful life to the filter. O abastecimento de água em comunidades rurais e sem acesso a tratamento é um desafio a ser vencido. Nesta perspectiva, uma tecnologia simples, acessível e de fácil manuseio, como o filtro biológico doméstico, pode ser uma alternativa viável. O estudo objetivou a avalição de atividade enzimática por microrganismos envolvidos no processo de filtração em filtros lentos intermitentes. A avaliação dos indicadores microbianos em profundidade no meio filtrante foi realizada através de testes enzimáticos conforme a hidrólise do diacetato de fluoresceína e a degradação de cloreto trifeniltetrazólio, além de matéria orgânica. Três colunas (triplicata) foram preenchidas de Areia Fina (d10 = 0,16 mm) com taxa de filtração inicial de 1,19x10-4 m/s e outras três colunas (triplicatas) de Areia Média (d10 = 0,45 mm) e taxa de filtração inicial de 5,39x10-4 m/s. As colunas foram operadas com regime de escoamento descendente e fluxo intermitente. Realizou-se o monitoramento diário da água bruta, proveniente de um lago de área de preservação permanente, e água filtrada, conforme os parâmetros físicos (turbidez, temperatura, cor aparente e verdadeira), químicos (oxigênio dissolvido, pH e condutividade elétrica), e hidráulicos (taxa de filtração e condutividade hidráulica), em uma única carreira de filtração (115 dias). Realizou-se teste estatístico através de análise de variância (ANOVA) para comparação de médias e de significância pelo Teste de Tukey. Foram observadas pequenas variações da qualidade de água na fase de aclimatação dos pilotos. Após, apresentou-se estabilidade favorável ao desenvolvimento microbiológico demonstrado com os testes enzimáticos. As características granulométricas não exerceram diferença significativa entre aspectos físicos e químicos de qualidade da água. Através dos ensaios enzimáticos e análise de matéria orgânica, relacionados com a colmatação biológica, percebeu-se a existência de atividade microbiológica ao longo de toda a extensão dos filtros. Pontos de oscilação das concentrações identificadas se devem provavelmente à distribuição granulométrica utilizada, que permitiu a percolação de partículas e microrganismos até camadas mais profundas, resultando em colmatação interna. Constatou-se que a presença de desidrogenase através do TTC manteve concentrações oscilantes ao longo da profundidade. No ensaio enzimático da hidrólise do FDA, foi possível visualizar evidências de maior atividade biológica nas primeiras camadas do meio filtrante e seu decaimento em profundidade. Conclui-se que nestas condições hidráulicas, os filtros sejam capazes de operar por longos períodos, apresentando baixa colmatação e proporcionando uma maior vida útil ao filtro.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES This doctoral thesis investigates whether the use of Active Methodologies can promote the deepening of important scientific concepts in middle school through, the entomology theme. This study is presented in the form of three articles and a manuscript that seek, through a logical sequence, to present the results obtained in the studies carried out. Article 1 proposes a classification and categorization of Active Learning Methodologies, in article 2 we present the gamified activity Insects GO that was developed in an middle school, where students had to actively engage in tasks that involved scientific concepts about the entomology. In manuscript 1, we investigated the importance of inserting the History of Science as a strengthening of learning in middle school, and the last article presents the experience reporting a didactic activity carried out through non-face-to-face activities in 2020 and had as main objective engage students in the design and construction of an insect hotel, developing skills and presenting concepts relevant to the study of middle school science. This study presents a new perspective of learning about scientific concepts through the use of Active Methodologies involving the entomology theme, for this, quantitative and qualitative aspects capable of determining the involvement, motivation and learning of the students involved were analyzed. A presente tese de doutorado investiga se o uso das Metodologias Ativas pode promover o aprofundamento de conceitos científicos importantes no Ensino Fundamental através da temática entomologia. Este estudo é apresentado sob forma de três artigos e um manuscrito que buscam por meio de uma sequência lógica, apresentar os resultados obtidos nos estudos realizados. O artigo 1 propõe uma proposta de classificação e categorização das Metodologias Ativas de Aprendizagem, no artigo 2 apresentamos a atividade gamificada Insects GO que foi desenvolvida em uma escola de Ensino Fundamental, onde os alunos tiveram que se envolver ativamente em tarefas que envolveram conceitos científicos sobre o tema entomologia. No manuscrito 1, investigamos a importância da inserção da História da Ciência como fortalecimento da aprendizagem no Ensino Fundamental e, o último artigo apresenta o relato de experiência de uma atividade didática realizada por meio das atividades não presenciais no ano de 2020 e teve como objetivo principal engajar os alunos na criação e construção de um hotel para insetos, desenvolvendo habilidades e apresentando conceitos relevantes no estudo de Ciências do Ensino Fundamental. Esse estudo apresenta uma nova perspectiva de aprendizagem sobre conceitos científicos através do uso de Metodologias Ativas envolvendo a temática entomologia, para isso foram analisados aspectos quantitativos e qualitativos capazes de determinar o envolvimento, motivação e a aprendizagem dos alunos envolvidos.

Learning is directly related to learning, a gradual and personal process that modifies behavior. Thus, learning to reflect, to reason, to use problem-solving strategies that make the process more meaningful, is a necessity, and Johnson-Laird's Theory of Mental Models makes this possible. In the educational realm, these models help individuals internally represent conceptual models, such as, for example, chemical oxireduction reactions. Thus, this research is divided into two stages: bibliographic research and interviews. Therefore, although there is a considerable number of articles in the main journals of Science and Chemistry Teaching, there are few that contribute to this research, verifying a lack of Brazilian articles that emphasize the relationship of mental models with oxireduction reactions, thus justifying its importance for the Teaching of Chemistry. As for the second stage, i.e., the interviews, whose objective is based on the investigation of the mental models of graduates of the Undergraduate Chemistry Course at the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, about the chemical reactions of oxireduction, three mental models were obtained: incomplete, partial and complete mental models, which expose a gradual relationship between the mental models of the subjects and the conceptual model of oxireduction, i.e., the former is very distant from the conceptual model, while the latter is very close, with evidence of significant learning. As pessoas vivem em um mundo que gira em torno do conhecimento. No entanto, o que é o conhecimento? O que é aprender? Aprender está diretamente relacionado à aprendizagem, um processo gradual e pessoal, que modifica o comportamento. Assim, aprender a refletir, a raciocinar, a utilizar estratégias de resolução de problemas que façam o processo ser mais significativo, é uma necessidade e a Teoria dos Modelos Mentais de Johnson-Laird possibilita isso. No âmbito educacional, esses modelos ajudam os indivíduos a representarem internamente os modelos conceituais, como, por exemplo, as reações químicas de oxirredução. Desta forma, esta pesquisa divide-se em duas etapas: pesquisa bibliográfica e entrevistas. Logo, por mais que se tenha um número considerável de artigos nos principais periódicos do Ensino de Ciências e de Química, poucos são os que contribuem para esta pesquisa, verificando-se uma carência de artigos brasileiros que enfatizam a relação dos modelos mentais com as reações de oxirredução, justificando, assim, sua importância para o Ensino de Química. Quanto à segunda etapa, ou seja, às entrevistas, cujo objetivo baseia-se na investigação dos modelos mentais de egressos do Curso de Química Licenciatura, da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria, sobre as reações químicas de oxirredução, três modelos mentais foram obtidos: modelo mental incompleto, parcial e completo, os quais expõem uma relação gradual entre os modelos mentais dos sujeitos e o modelo conceitual de oxirredução, isto é, o primeiro está muito distante do modelo conceitual, enquanto que o último está muito próximo, havendo neste indícios de aprendizagem significativa.

High School Integrated to Professional Education aims to bring scientific knowledge closer to cultural and social knowledge, and from the working world, allowing the student not only to study basic and professional education at the same time, but also to have a defragmented education. In this context, the teaching of Physics integrated to the technical training area stands out. Based on the delimited theme, we present the research problem: What are the implications of the pedagogical intervention process from the implementation of Potentially Meaningful Teaching Units (PMTU) articulated with a methodology of Experiential Learning Projects (ELP), for the progressive mastery of the conceptual fields of Hydrostatics and Hydrodynamics, in a perspective contextualized to the technical course in Agricultural Science integrated to high school? What are the potentials and limitatios of this methodological proposal to promote curriculum integration, linking the knowledge of Physics with the technical area of Agriculture? In the search for answers to the questions, through a descriptive exploratory research, characterized as a case study, our goal was to investigate, in the process of implementing the instructional material, evidences of significant learning and the operative invariants explicitly mobilized by students in action-situations in the context of the technical Agriculture field, for the progressive mastery of the conceptual fields of Hydrostatics and Hydrodynamics, and the potentialities of this process to foster integration in the context of integrated high school education. We investigated 2nd year students of the technical course in Agriculture integrated to high school, of the IFRS Ibirubá campus. The research is based on the conceptions of integrated high school and on the cognitivist of teaching and learning theories, from Vergnaud's Theory of Conceptual Fields (TCF) and Ausubel's Meaningful Learning (TML). The results analyzed qualitatively, according to the steps of an ausubelian approach, showed that the stages of teaching organized according to the PMTU articulated with the ELP, promoted a gradual understanding of the new concepts from the identified prior conceptions. In the light of TCF we identified, from the ELP, the operative invariants mobilized and explained by the students in action-situations applied to the context of the technical area. Overall, there was evidence of significant learning in relation to the concepts and theorems developed. As a value assertion of this research, we list the possibility of dissemination and adaptation of the produced material for teaching Physics; the discussions and reflections on the teaching-learning processes and; in the perspective of integrated high school, we highlight the potential of the proposal, to promote the integration of physical concepts contextualized with the Agriculture field. A modalidade Ensino Médio Integrado a Educação Profissional tem o intuito de aproximar o conhecimento científico dos conhecimentos culturais, sociais e do mundo do trabalho, permitindo ao aluno, não somente cursar a formação básica e a profissional ao mesmo tempo, mas também ter sua educação desfragmentada. Nesse contexto destaca-se o ensino de Física integrado à área de formação técnica. A partir da temática delimitada apresentamos o problema de pesquisa: Quais as implicações do processo de intervenção pedagógica a partir da implementação de Unidades de Ensino Potencialmente Significativas (UEPS) articuladas com uma metodologia de Projetos Experimentais de Aprendizagem (PEA), para o domínio progressivo dos campos conceituais da Hidrostática e da Hidrodinâmica, numa perspectiva contextualizada ao curso técnico em Agropecuária integrado ao ensino médio? Quais as potencialidades e limitações dessa proposta metodológica para fomentar a integração curricular, vinculando os conhecimentos da Física com a área técnica da Agropecuária? Na busca pelas respostas às perguntas, através de uma pesquisa exploratória descritiva, caracterizada como um estudo de caso, nosso objetivo foi investigar, no processo de implementação do material instrucional, evidências de aprendizagem significativa e os invariantes operatórios mobilizados de forma explícita pelos alunos em situação-ação do contexto da área técnica da Agropecuária, para o domínio progressivo dos campos conceituais da Hidrostática e da Hidrodinâmica e as potencialidades desse processo para fomentar a integração no contexto do ensino médio integrado. Foram investigados alunos do 2º ano do curso técnico em Agropecuária integrado ao ensino médio, do campus Ibirubá, do IFRS. A pesquisa apresenta sua fundamentação nas concepções de ensino médio integrado e nas teorias cognitivistas de ensino e aprendizagem, dos Campos Conceituais (TCC) de Vergnaud e da Aprendizagem Significativa (TAS) de Ausubel. Os resultados analisados qualitativamente, de acordo com etapas de uma abordagem ausubeliana, mostraram que as etapas de ensino organizadas de acordo com as UEPS articuladas com os PEA, promoveram uma compreensão gradativa dos novos conceitos a partir das concepções prévias identificadas. À luz da TCC identificamos, a partir dos PEA, os invariantes operatórios mobilizados e explicitados pelos alunos em situação-ação aplicados ao contexto da área técnica. De forma geral, foram evidenciados indícios de aprendizagem significativa em relação aos conceitos e teoremas desenvolvidos. Como asserção de valor dessa pesquisa, elencamos as possibilidade de disseminação e adaptação do material produzido para o ensino de Física; as discussões e reflexões sobre os processos de ensino-aprendizagem e; na perspectiva do ensino médio integrado, destacamos as potencialidades da proposta, para fomentar a integração de conceitos físicos contextualizados com a área da Agropecuária.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES Due to the importance and need for teachers in initial and continuing education to explore more and more the concepts and aspects related to inclusion, this thesis focused on the investigation of the extent to which the development and implementation of a training course contributed to the improvement of teachers in the areas of Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The data for the analysis of the research were obtained through questionnaires, elaboration of teaching strategies and resources, description of assignments, observations and notes taken by the researcher during the meetings. The data were analyzed using Textual Discourse Analysis (TDA). Prior to the development and application of the training course, an investigation was carried out by means of an online questionnaire sent to all those interested in participating in it. In this questionnaire, we sought to understand the conceptions of Biology, Physics and Chemistry graduates and undergraduates about inclusive education, inclusion and topics related to these subjects, as well as information about their experiences as teachers and what they know about the universe of the visually impaired person. From this analysis we structured the meetings of the training course in order to allocate moments for reflection and discussion on topics related to social inclusion, school inclusion, inclusive education, as well as strategies, materials and teaching resources that can be used to facilitate the teaching and learning process of students with visual impairment. In the first course, held during the months of August to December 2018, we counted with the participation of 6 chemistry academics and in the second training course we had the participation of 18 teachers in initial and continued training of the mentioned areas, which was developed from April to August 2019. The development of strategies and adapted teaching resources were proposed in this thesis as a way to assist in the teaching and learning process of students, for which the teachers worked collaboratively in their development. Some of the activities developed during the course were applied in regular inclusive classes with visually impaired students. As results, regarding the strategies and teaching resources developed, they encompassed several contents such as viruses, mixtures and solutions, models and maps, respiratory system, fermentation, calorimentary, reproductive system, organic functions, Bohr's atomic model, botany (flower), and conservation of energy. We were able to evidence, from the results of this research, that the training course contributed to the teachers' development, as it enabled new learning related to inclusion, the visually impaired person, besides the exchange of experiences among the teachers. From the analysis of the questionnaires we noticed that the participants know the importance of inclusion, however, many of them do not feel prepared to promote an inclusive education, for not having participated in courses/workshops/lectures or disciplines that address the subject or even for not knowing strategies/resources/methodologies to be developed with these students. However, the participants showed great interest in learning more about the theme, ways of adapting materials, and seeking new strategies to be used in the teaching and learning process of students with disabilities. Thus, other related themes need to be further explored to improve knowledge. Devido à importância e necessidade dos professores em formação inicial e continuada explorarem cada vez mais os conceitos e aspectos relacionados à inclusão, esta tese teve como foco de investigação, verificar em que medida a elaboração e implementação de um curso de formação contribuiu para o aperfeiçoamento de professores das áreas de Biologia, Física e Química. Os dados para análise da pesquisa foram obtidos por meio de questionários, elaboração de estratégias e recursos didáticos, descrição de trabalhos, observações e anotações realizadas pela pesquisadora durante os encontros. Os dados foram analisados utilizando a Análise Textual Discursiva (ATD). Em momento prévio ao desenvolvimento e aplicação do curso de formação foi realizada uma investigação, por meio de um questionário on-line enviado a todos os interessados em participar do mesmo. Neste, buscamos compreender as concepções dos graduados e graduandos em Biologia, Física e Química sobre educação inclusiva, inclusão e tópicos referentes a esses assuntos, além de informações sobre suas experiências vivenciadas como professores e o que eles conhecem do universo da pessoa com deficiência visual. A partir desta análise estruturamos os encontros do curso de formação a fim de destinar momentos de reflexão e discussão sobre tópicos relacionados à inclusão social, escolar, educação inclusiva, bem como, estratégias, materiais e recursos didáticos que podem ser utilizados para facilitar o processo de ensino e aprendizagem de estudantes com deficiência visual. No primeiro curso, realizado durante os meses de agosto a dezembro de 2018, contamos com a participação de 6 acadêmicos de Química e no segundo curso de formação tivemos a participação de 18 professores em formação inicial e continuada das áreas mencionadas, o qual foi desenvolvido de abril a agosto de 2019. A elaboração de estratégias e recursos didáticos adaptados foram propostos nesta tese como uma maneira de auxiliar no processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos estudantes, para isso os professores trabalharam colaborativamente no desenvolvimento dos mesmos. Algumas das atividades desenvolvidas durante o curso foram aplicadas em turmas regulares inclusivas com estudantes com deficiência visual. Como resultados, referentes às estratégias e recursos didáticos desenvolvidos eles englobaram vários conteúdos como vírus, misturas e soluções, maquetes e mapas, sistema respiratório, fermentação, calorimentria, sistema reprodutor, funções orgânicas, modelo atômico de Bohr, botânica (flor) e conservação de energia. Pudemos evidenciar, a partir dos resultados desta pesquisa, que o curso de formação contribuiu para o desenvolvimento docente, pois, possibilitou novas aprendizagens relacionadas à inclusão, a pessoa com deficiência visual, além da troca de experiências entre os professores. A partir da análise dos questionários percebemos que os participantes sabem da importância da inclusão, no entanto, muitos não se sentem preparados para promover um ensino inclusivo, por não terem participado de cursos/oficinas/palestras ou disciplinas que contemplem o assunto ou até por não conhecerem estratégias/recursos/metodologias a serem desenvolvidas com esses estudantes. Entretanto, os participantes demonstraram grande interesse em aprender mais sobre o tema, maneiras de adaptar materiais e, buscar novas estratégias a serem utilizadas no processo de ensino e aprendizagem de estudantes com deficiência. Assim, outros temas relacionados precisam ser cada vez mais explorados para aprimorar os conhecimentos.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES The study developed in this dissertation has as its main focus to investigate the relationship between media and information literacy with the scientific one, from the perspective of the context and improvement of Science teaching. The research was developed in two approaches: (1) analysis of the literacies’ historical context and their theoretical foundations; and (2) elaboration of a didactic proposal, articulating the three literacies with the theme of Immunity. In the first approach, we identified the literacies origins and main concepts. For this, we organized and set out information relevant to understanding the relationships between the three types of literacy and Science teaching. In addition, we analyzed the presence of terms of the three literacy types in dissertations and theses that are part of the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). In a simple way, we can conceptualize the literacies through three specific skills: media literacy in 'knowing how to look for reliable sources'; information literacy in ‘knowing how to interpret information’; and scientific literacy in 'knowing how is the elaboration and progress of Science'. In the second approach, we present a notebook with five activities for students in the 7th grade of Middle School. In the teacher's version, the material seeks to lead the student to understand misinformation nuances, exploring the causes and consequences of the contemporary phenomenon of informational overabundance about Immunity. The didactic sequence has the teacher's research objectives; skills to be developed by students; target audience; predicted time; meeting format; and execution procedures. Various procedures/materials are associated to be applied in synchronous and asynchronous moments. Among the activities, a dialogue expository dynamic is contemplated; a bingo game; solving a WebQuest; elaboration of a Pitch; and some games as a review exercise. When asking “what” and “how” Science is taught in Basic Education, it is essential to reflect on the way in which students are reading the contents of Science Nature. The role played by the school in the formal education of subjects is fundamental in this context. Awakening people's interest in daily problems is the first step in combating misinformation. Guiding people to seek information about how Science responds to these problems is the second step, since we cannot prevent misinformation from being produced, but prevent it from spreading. Associating knowledge and skills of scientific literacy with media and information literacy in Science teaching means, therefore, providing the student conditions to understand the process by which scientific knowledge is formulated and validated, since Science also needs to be read and interpreted. O estudo desenvolvido nesta dissertação tem como foco principal investigar as relações entre as alfabetizações midiática e informacional com a científica, na perspectiva do contexto e melhoria do ensino de Ciências. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em duas abordagens: (1) a análise do contexto histórico e fundamentos teóricos das alfabetizações, e (2) a elaboração de uma proposta didática, articulando as três alfabetizações com a temática Imunidade. Na primeira abordagem, identificamos as origens e os principais conceitos das alfabetizações. Para isso, organizamos e delimitamos informações relevantes para a compreensão das relações entre os três tipos de alfabetização e o ensino de Ciências. Além disso, analisamos a presença dos termos dos três tipos de alfabetização em dissertações e teses que integram a Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertações (BDTD). De forma simples, podemos conceituar as alfabetizações através de três competências específicas: alfabetização midiática em ‘saber como buscar fontes confiáveis’; alfabetização informacional em ‘saber como interpretar informações’; e alfabetização científica em ‘saber como é o processo de elaboração e progresso da ciência’. Na segunda abordagem, apresentamos um caderno com cinco atividades para alunos do 7º ano do Ensino Fundamental. Na versão do professor, o material busca levar o aluno a entender as nuances da desinformação, explorando as causas e consequências do fenômeno contemporâneo da superabundância informacional acerca da temática Imunidade. A sequência didática conta com os objetivos de investigação do docente; competências a serem desenvolvidas pelos alunos; público-alvo; tempo previsto; formato do encontro; e procedimentos de execução. São associados procedimentos/materiais diversos para serem aplicados em momentos síncronos e assíncronos. Entre as atividades, contemplam-se uma dinâmica expositiva dialogada; um jogo do bingo; a resolução de uma WebQuest; a elaboração de um Pitch; e uma gincana de revisão. Ao se indagar com o “quê” e “como” se ensina Ciências na Educação Básica, é fundamental refletir a forma que os estudantes estão realizando a leitura dos conteúdos sobre à própria Natureza da Ciência. O papel desempenhado pela escola na educação formal dos sujeitos é fundamental nesse contexto. Despertar o interesse das pessoas pelos problemas do cotidiano é a primeira etapa para combater a desinformação. Orientar as pessoas a buscar informações sobre como a ciência responde a esses problemas é a segunda etapa, uma vez que não podemos evitar que a desinformação seja produzida, mas evitar que ela se espalhe. Associar saberes e habilidades da alfabetização científica com a alfabetização midiática e informacional no ensino de Ciências significa, portanto, proporcionar ao estudante condições de entender o processo pelo qual os conhecimentos científicos são formulados e validados, visto que a Ciência também precisa ser lida e interpretada.

This research is based on conducting investigations and discussions involving the Freirean curricular perspective in the light of Fleck's epistemology, focusing on the Generator Theme. Based on the need to study this object of knowledge, the following research problem arises: which elements, contexts and subjects have been considered in the processes of obtaining and building Generating Themes around Science Education? How does the circulation of ideas, knowledge and practices occur in the curricular processes/constructions of generating themes? The search for answers to the problem was based, initially, on conducting a literature review in national events in the field of Science Education and in specific events by Paulo Freire. Using previously established and justified search criteria, one hundred and ten productions were selected. From the methodological study, firstly based on scient metric analyses, some contexts of productions from the perspective of the Generator Theme were observed, as well as basic references, subjects/researchers, and some elements – discussed through categories derived from Discursive Textual Analysis. Subsequently, the selection of some subjects who guide and research based on the Freirean curricular pedagogy was carried out. These were called the esoteric circle, so that interviews were proposed and conducted. From the analysis of these dialogues, new reflections and communications could be carried out, considering that it was possible to verify ways of thinking and acting, common to the subjects. The results derived from the analysis of materials and interviews made it possible to identify subjects, contexts and elements considered in Freirean curricular processes. The identification and presentation of all these parameters constituted, epistemologically, what was called the Freirean Curricular Thought Style. The characterization of this style showed that there is a Freirean curricular historicity and stylized ways of seeing specific to it, so that it is not just any theme that can be described as a generator. In addition, the process of systematization and characterization of this Style of Thought, during the research, made it possible to understand it, too, as a Generating Theme, making it possible to establish relationships between Freire and Fleck. At the end, new actions and research were encouraged to verify how the collective of Freireanos and Freireanas will continue to disseminate proposals with Generating Themes. A presente pesquisa tem por base a realização de investigações e discussões envolvendo a perspectiva curricular Freireana à luz da epistemologia de Fleck, tendo como foco de interesse o Tema Gerador. Pautando-se na necessidade de estudo em torno deste objeto de conhecimento, tem-se o seguinte problema de pesquisa: quais elementos, contextos e sujeitos vem sendo considerados nos processos de obtenção e construção de Temas Geradores, na área de Educação em Ciências? Como ocorre a circulação de ideias, conhecimentos e práticas nos processos/construções curriculares de temas geradores? A busca por respostas ao problema pautou-se, inicialmente, na realização de uma revisão bibliográfica nos eventos nacionais da área de Ensino de Ciências e em eventos específicos de Paulo Freire. Utilizando-se de critérios de busca previamente estabelecidos e justificados, selecionaram-se cento e dez produções. A partir do estudo metodológico, primeiramente com base em análises cienciométricas, observaram-se alguns contextos de produções na perspectiva do Tema Gerador, assim como referências básicas, sujeitos/pesquisadores e alguns elementos – discutidos por meio de categorias oriundas da Análise Textual Discursiva. Posteriormente, foi realizada a seleção de alguns sujeitos que orientam e pesquisam com base na pedagogia curricular Freireana. A estes, chamou-se de círculo esotérico, de modo que foram propostas e realizadas entrevistas. Das análises desses diálogos, novas reflexões e comunicações puderam ser realizadas, tendo em vista que foi possível verificar modos de pensar e agir, comuns aos sujeitos. Os resultados derivados das análises dos materiais e das entrevistas, possibilitaram identificar sujeitos, contextos e elementos considerados nos processos curriculares Freireanos. A identificação e apresentação de todos estes parâmetros constituíram, epistemologicamente, o que se chamou de Estilo de Pensamento Curricular Freireano. A caracterização deste estilo mostrou que existe uma historicidade curricular Freireana e modos de ver estilizados próprios a ela, de maneira que não é qualquer tema que pode ser adjetivado como gerador. Além disso, o processo de sistematização e caracterização desse Estilo de Pensamento, durante a pesquisa, possibilitou entendê-lo, também, como um Tema Gerador, sendo possível estabelecer relações entre Freire e Fleck. Ao final, incitaram-se novas ações e pesquisas a fim de verificar como o coletivo de Freireanos e Freireanas continuará a disseminar propostas com Temas Geradores.

Scientific literacy in the early years is extremely important, as it helps students to better understand the world in which they live. A possible means of its insertion in the early years is in children's literature, which can contribute a lot of scientific knowledge, through a simple story. The aim of this research was to investigate and analyze the stereotyped representations about characters in children's literature stories and from these, promote scientific literacy through classic literature stories. The qualitative study was guided by the focus of exploratory research (case study) and by the categorization proposed by Bardin. As a methodology, we used a didactic sequence divided into two different moments, since we were unable to apply the entire planned sequence in the early years, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. With this, we apply in the classroom the initial part of the sequence with the initial years, in which we investigate the participants' previous conceptions. The steps of the didactic sequence were: 1) Application of the previous questionnaire to analyze the participants' conceptions; 2) A counting circle shared by the students of the stories of Chapeuzinho Vermelho and Três Porquinhos, followed by a conversation circle. The rest of our thematic didactic sequence about the maned wolf and the peccary pig was applied as a proposal to a group of students from the normal course, remotely by google met, which included the following steps: 1) Previous questionnaire; 2) Presentation of this research project; 3) Presentation of thematic didactic sequence, with activities about the maned wolf and the peccary pig; 4) Final questionnaire to validate the thematic didactic sequence. The results found in the intervention carried out with the early years showed that children in general have conceptions related to the wolf character and the three little pigs, strongly influenced by the tales of Little Red Riding Hood and Three Little Pigs. The wolf character is remembered for his reputation as a villain by most children, while the three little pigs are seen as good by all children. Some children make no distinction between the fictional world and the real world, and end up characterizing all wolves as villains, both the wolf character and the real-life wolf. This negative characterization of the wolf is also attributed to the fact that most children believe that it is a carnivore, and can even eat people. However, other children recognize that the wolf is only carnivorous because of its animal instincts, and that doesn't make it bad. Some results found in the conversation circle were also discussed based on the scientific literacy indicators proposed by the authors Sasseron and Carvalho. The results referring to the second stage of the research, applied in the normal course, showed that some participants are already able to perceive some stereotypes present in children's literature, but that many had never thought of working science associated with children's literature. However, after this acquired knowledge, they intend to work, as they recognize the importance of working with Brazilian native animals with children, and science in general. Thus, we realize that these fragmented and stereotyped views that may be developed through a fairy tale must be worked on in the classroom, under the teacher's mediation, in order to get around them. A possible alternative is to promote scientific literacy through classic children's tales, which was portrayed in the rewritten versions of the Little Red Riding Hood and the Three Little Pigs, the maned wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus) and the peccary pig (Pecari tajacu) as characters, which are present in our Brazilian fauna, and can act as important allies in promoting scientific literacy. Furthermore, all the other activities proposed in the thematic didactic sequence tend to collaborate even more in the knowledge related to these animals. A alfabetização científica nos anos iniciais é de extrema importância, uma vez que ela auxilia o aluno a compreender melhor o mundo em que está inserido. Um possível meio de sua inserção nos anos iniciais está na literatura infantil, a qual pode contribuir com muitos conhecimentos científicos, por meio de uma simples história. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi investigar e analisar as representações estereotipadas sobre personagens em contos de literatura infantil e a partir destas, promover a alfabetização científica por meio dos contos de literatura clássicos. O estudo, de caráter qualitativo, orientou-se pelo enfoque da pesquisa exploratória (estudo de caso) e pela categorização proposta por Bardin. Utilizamos como metodologia uma sequência didática dividida em dois diferentes momentos, uma vez que não conseguimos aplicar toda a sequência planejada nos anos iniciais, por conta da pandemia da Covid-19. Com isso, aplicamos em sala de aula a parte inicial da sequência com os anos iniciais, na qual investigamos as concepções prévias dos participantes. As etapas da sequência didática foram: 1) Aplicação do questionário prévio para analisar as concepções dos participantes; 2) Roda de contação compartilhada pelos alunos dos contos da Chapeuzinho Vermelho e dos Três Porquinhos, seguida de roda de conversa. O restante da nossa sequência didática temática sobre os animais lobo-guará e porco cateto foi aplicada como proposta para uma turma de alunos do curso normal, de forma remota pelo google met, a qual contou com as seguintes etapas: 1) Questionário prévio; 2) Apresentação deste projeto de pesquisa; 3) Apresentação da sequência didática temática, com atividades sobre o lobo-guará e o porco cateto; 4) Questionário final de validação da sequência didática temática. Os resultados encontrados na intervenção feita com os anos iniciais, demonstraram que as crianças em geral, apresentam concepções relacionadas ao personagem lobo e os três porquinhos fortemente influenciadas pelos contos da Chapeuzinho Vermelho e dos Três Porquinhos. O personagem lobo é lembrado pela sua fama de vilão pela maioria das crianças, já os três porquinhos são vistos como bonzinhos por todas as crianças. Algumas crianças não fazem distinção entre o mundo fictício e o mundo real, e acabam caracterizando todos os lobos como vilões, tanto o personagem lobo, quanto o lobo da vida real. Essa caracterização negativa do lobo está atribuída também ao fato da maioria das crianças acreditarem que o mesmo é carnívoro, e pode comer até pessoas. Contudo, outras crianças reconhecem que o lobo só é carnívoro por conta de seu instinto animal, e isso não o torna mau. Alguns resultados encontrados na roda de conversa também foram discutidos com base nos indicadores de alfabetização científica propostos pelas autoras Sasseron e Carvalho. Os resultados referentes a segunda etapa da pesquisa, aplicada no curso normal demonstraram que alguns participantes já conseguem perceber alguns estereótipos presentes na literatura infantil, mas que muitos nunca haviam pensado em trabalhar a ciência associada a literatura infantil. Porém, após estes conhecimentos adquiridos pretendem trabalhar, pois reconhecem a importância de trabalhar os animais nativos brasileiros com as crianças, e a ciência em geral. Com isso, percebemos que essas visões fragmentadas e estereotipadas que podem vir a se desenvolver por meio de um conto de fada, devem ser trabalhadas em sala de aula, sob mediação do professor a fim de contorná-las. Uma alternativa possível está na promoção de alfabetização científica por meio de contos clássicos infantis, para isso, foi retratado nas versões reescritas do conto da Chapeuzinho Vermelho e dos Três Porquinhos, o lobo-guará (Chrysocyon brachyurus) e o porco cateto (Pecari tajacu) como personagens, os quais estão presentes na nossa fauna brasileira, e podem atuar como importantes aliados na promoção da alfabetização científica. Além disso, todas as outras atividades propostas na sequência didática temática, tendem a colaborar ainda mais nos conhecimentos referentes a esses animais.

We investigated the use of practical activities that, in addition to their pedagogical didactic function, help to promote the motivation of students in the discipline of Physics, in the second year of high school. The research was carried out at a Federal Public College, in seven classes (three in 2017 and four in 2018). The theoretical contribution that guided the research consisted of studies by several authors regarding the use of experimental activities and about motivation. Aiming to know how experimental activities are being addressed in the specialized literature, we carried out a literature review that included articles published in the Brazilian Journal of Physics Education in the period between 2002 and 2017. We found 138 articles on this topic, of which only 17 were intended for high school. In order to develop practical activities that play, in addition to the pedagogical function, the role of encouraging students' motivation in the subjects studied in the discipline of Physics, we use an approach based on Educational Design Research. Based on this conception of research, which is used to solve practical problems in real contexts, through a cyclical process of analysis and exploration, design and construction, and evaluation and reflection, we developed our investigation. To make it clearer, more practical and enable a more holistic view of our work, we developed a Panoramic Operational Matrix, which allows, after carrying out the activities, based on the observations and notes in the logbook, to propose changes for the following activities in the same year (with different content) or in the same activity that will be implemented next year. With this direction, we implemented practical activities in 2017, the results of which are presented. At the end of that school year, students answered a questionnaire, referring to the eight practical activities developed, which was composed of eight open questions. Through this, we seek to know more deeply the opinions of students regarding the performance of practical activities, whose analysis was carried out using Content Analysis designed by Bardin (2007). Based on the analyses, the observations made during the activities, the logbook notes and the analysis of the questionnaire, we redesigned the eight activities and these were implemented again in 2018, following the same system as the previous year. We carried out an individual analysis of each of the eight activities, based on the students' opinions on these, and a comparison between the 2017 and 2018 activities. We also investigated the Motivation and Efficiency of the different Teaching Strategies used by teachers, based on the students' opinion of 2018. With the analysis of the final categories from the questionnaires answered by the students, we present the design principles that should be considered in the preparation of practical activities so that these, in addition to their pedagogical function, also foster the motivation of students to study the discipline of physics. Investigamos a utilização de atividades práticas, que além da sua função didática pedagógica, auxiliem na promoção da motivação dos estudantes na disciplina de Física, no segundo ano do Ensino Médio. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida com sete turmas (três em 2017 e quatro em 2018) de um Colégio Público Federal. O aporte teórico que balizou a pesquisa foi constituído por estudos de diversos autores referentes à utilização das atividades experimentais e a respeito da motivação. Visando conhecer como as atividades experimentais estão sendo abordadas na literatura especializada, realizamos uma revisão bibliográfica que abarcou os artigos publicados na Revista Brasileira de Ensino de Física no período compreendido entre os anos de 2002 até 2017. Encontramos 138 artigos sobre essa temática, dos quais somente 17 eram destinados ao Ensino Médio. Com o objetivo de desenvolver atividades práticas, que desempenhem além da função pedagógica o papel de fomentar a motivação dos alunos, nos assuntos estudados na disciplina de Física, utilizamos uma abordagem baseada em Educational Design Research. Tendo como base essa concepção de pesquisa, que é utilizada para resolver problemas práticos em contextos reais, por meio de um processo cíclico de análise e exploração, design e construção, e avaliação e reflexão, desenvolvemos a nossa investigação. Para tornar mais claro, prático e possibilitar uma visão mais holística do nosso trabalho, desenvolvemos uma Matriz Operacional Panorâmica, que permite, após a realização das atividades, com base nas observações e anotações do Diário de Bordo, propor alterações para as atividades seguintes no mesmo ano (com conteúdos diferentes) ou na mesma atividade que a ser implementada no próximo ano. Com esse direcionamento, implementamos as atividades práticas no ano de 2017, cujos resultados são apresentados. Ao final do referido ano letivo, os estudantes responderam um questionário, referente as oito atividades práticas desenvolvidas, o qual foi composto por oito questões abertas. Por meio deste, buscamos conhecer mais a fundo as opiniões dos estudantes referentes a realização das atividades práticas, cuja análise foi realizada utilizando a Análise de Conteúdo concebida por Bardin (2007). Baseado nas análises, nas observações feitas durante a realização das atividades, nas anotações do Diário de Bordo e na análise do questionário, reelaboramos as oito atividades e essas foram novamente implementadas no ano de 2018, seguindo a mesma sistemática do ano anterior. Realizamos uma análise individual de cada uma das oito atividades, tendo como base as opiniões dos estudantes sobre estas, e um comparativo entre as atividades de 2017 e 2018. Investigamos, ainda, a Motivação e a Eficiência das diferentes Estratégias de Ensino, utilizadas pelos professores, a partir da opinião dos estudantes de 2018. Com a análise das categorias finais oriundas dos questionários respondidos pelos estudantes, apresentamos os princípios de design que devem ser considerados na elaboração das atividades práticas para que essas, além da sua função pedagógica, também fomentem a motivação dos estudantes para o estudo da disciplina de física.

Copper (Cu) is a micronutrient considered essential for plants, however, the addition of metal in the soil by human activities, makes this element potentially polluting and toxic to agricultural species. The dynamics of copper in the soil is influenced by the physical and chemical characteristics of the soil as well as the activity of symbiotic microorganisms associated with different cultures. Thus, the general objective of this work was to analyze the influence of different soil textures, species of mycorrhizal fungi and plant growth promoting bacteria on the tolerance and accumulation of copper in wheat plants grown in soil contaminated with copper. To meet the objective, three scientific studies were developed, the first of which aimed to assess the influence of soil texture on copper toxicity and the development capacity of wheat in soil contaminated with this metal; the second to evaluate the effect of inoculation of three species of mycorrhizal fungi on the growth and accumulation of copper in wheat plants in soil contaminated with copper; and in the third, to determine the influence of the use of mycorrhizal fungi associated with a genus of bacteria that promotes plant growth in the growth and accumulation of copper by the cultivation of wheat grown in soil contaminated with copper. The results showed that the wheat culture is negatively influenced by the addition of copper to the soil, and its content is affected by the soil texture. Sandy soils favor the translocation of copper to the wheat grain in areas contaminated with this metal. The bioconcentration and bioaccumulation of copper in the wheat crop is superior in soil with a texture of 17.5%. The mycorrhizal isolates Acaulospora Colombiana and Gigaspora Margarita provide greater height, root length and specific surface area and lower copper content in the grain in wheat. Mycorrhizal fungi allow a higher content of copper in the roots and consequently less mobilization of this metal to the aerial part and grains of wheat. There is an antagonistic effect of the co-inoculation of A. brasilense on the colonization of wheat roots by mycorrhizal fungi of the genus A. colombiana and G. margarita. Co-inoculation A. Colombiana / A. Brasilense provides higher copper content in the aerial part of the wheat. O cobre é um micronutriente considerado essencial para os vegetais, porém, a adição em excesso deste metal no solo pelas atividades antrópicas, torna este elemento tóxico às espécies agrícolas. A dinâmica do cobre no solo sofre influência das características físicas e químicas bem como da atividade de microrganismos simbióticos, fungos e bactérias, associados a diferentes culturas. Desse modo, o objetivo geral deste trabalho foi analisar a influência de diferentes texturas de solo, de espécies de fungos micorrizicos e de bactérias promotoras de crescimento de plantas na tolerância das plantas de trigo cultivadas em solo contaminado com cobre. Para atenter o objetivo, foram desenvolvidos três estudos sendo que o primeiro teve como objetivo avaliar a influência da textura do solo na toxidez de cobre e na capacidade de desenvolvimento do trigo em solo contaminado com esse metal; o segundo avaliar o efeito da inoculação de três espécies de fungos micorrízicos no crescimento e acúmulo de cobre em plantas de trigo em solo contaminado com cobre; e no terceiro determinar a influência da co-inoculação de fungos micorrízicos e bactérias promotoras de crescimento de plantas no crescimento e acúmulo de cobre pela cultura do trigo cultivado em solo contaminado com cobre. Os resultados evidenciaram que a cultura do trigo sofre influência negativa pela adição de cobre no solo, e o seu teor na planta é afetado pela textura de solo. Solos arenosos favorecem a translocação de cobre para o grão de trigo em áreas contaminadas com este metal. A bioconcentração e bioacumulação de cobre na cultura do trigo são maiores em solo com textura de 17,5% em relação a texturas 52,5 e 70% de argila. Os isolados micorrízicos Acaulospora colombiana e Gigaspora margarita proporcionam maior altura, comprimento de raiz e área superficial específica na cultura do trigo. Os fungos micorrízicos possibilitam maior teor de cobre nas raízes e consequentemente menor mobilização desse metal para a parte aérea e grãos do trigo. Há efeito antagônico da co-inoculação do A. brasilense na colonização das raízes do trigo por fungos micorrízicos do gênero A. colombiana e G. margarita. A co-inoculação A. Colombiana com A. Brasilense proporciona maior teor de cobre na parte aérea do trigo.
