Abstract

The LH1 and LH2 complexes of Rhodobacter sphaeroides form ring structures of 16 and 9 protomers comprising of alpha and beta polypeptides and carotenoids. The conclusion states that the chimeric mutant DD13 does not have a red shifted species, which suggest this complex becomes more like an LH1 complex.
