Salemo Island, one of the islands held by Pangkep Regency, is also referred to as Ulama Island since it has produced numerous Ulama in South Sulawesi and serves as a location for religious study. However, Salemo Island's religious beliefs are starting to change. This is the context in which the Kosabangsa Team decided to conduct Kosabangsa on Salemo Island. The goal to be achieved with the Kosabangsa Program is to make Salemo Island a religious tourism island by restoring religious values to Salemo Island. The process involves mapping the Salemo Island Asset Based Development Community, followed by Focus Group Discussions (FGD) tailored to partner needs, such as communication FGD, social media promotion FGD, seafood processing FGD (making shredded crab and shredded tuna), organizing marine product production house, and establishing a tourism awareness community group (POKDARWIS) on Salemo Island, Physical Strengthening through Salemo Island Stirytelling, an Island Website, and Pier Repair funded by the Regional Government of Pangkep Regency. The implementation of this Kosabangsa led to an increase in tourists to Salemo Island as well as a growth in the group of PKK women who make up the UMKM group who are MSME actors and operate a home business. IBK Nitro's partnership with UMM Malang through the Kosabangsa (Social Collaboration to Build the Nation) initiative significantly benefited the Salemo Island Community by providing training techniques for the UMKM Community in collaboration with PKK moms, Mosque Youth, and Salemo Island Bumdes

The actualization of local culture in Indonesia is expected to maintain the existence and value of local identity, which has been the hallmark of this culture. Malay Deli is one of the local cultures in Indonesia that tries to maintain cultural values in conditions of very strong degradation. So it is necessary to look at the patterns practiced by the Malays in maintaining and mitigating this degradation. In Weber's sociological study, to maintain the value of interaction, it is necessary to have human action so that a pattern is formed that has an impact on society. This research wants to see how the patterns of social interaction in the Malay Coastal Community differ. This study uses an interpretative paradigm process, a qualitative descriptive approach, and a case study type of research. The research locations were in the coastal area of the Metar Bilad Deli Vocational School and the Percut Vocational Area. techniques of collecting interview data (interviewing, observation, and documentation), placing purposive sampling subjects, condensing data analysis techniques, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. techniques for the validity of the credibility test, using materials and member checks. The research results obtained showed that a new pattern was formed, namely harmonious structural wisdom, habitual bargaining culture, leader cooptation combinations, historical culture combinations, and action interaction plans. The recommendations given need to strengthen Malay cultural values through learning, such as regional-based local content, and increase the competitive value of Malay Deli coastal communities through high trust.

The research objective is focused on the function of empowering community social workers based on participatory action research in underdeveloped villages. Qualitative research uses the purposive sampling technique to collect data from social workers' communities and empowerment actors through participatory observation, interviews, and documentation. Community empowerment has succeeded in developing the independence and welfare of the Turen Village community, which is dominated by the role of the Community Social Worker from the aspect of social transformation and community empowerment actors as motivators, mediators, communicators, and facilitators in determining achievement of success but having abroad and sustainable impact.

Batu City as a tourism city in Indonesia has a significant impact on its citizens. This study aims to describe the impact of the development of Batu City as a tourism city through the Ecocommunity-Based Tourism (ECBT) model on job growth and poverty reduction. This was qualitative research, in which the technique of collecting data was done through documentation, interviews, and observation. The results showed that Batu City was developed as a tourism city based on ECBT which is a combination of Ecotourism (ET) and Community-Based Tourism (CBT). The development of Batu City as a tourism city has a positive effect on employment growth of 1,074 types of employment in 2013 and increased to 6,183 types of employment in 2017. The increase in employment in the tourism industry sector also has an impact on reducing poverty levels, with the percentage of poor people in Batu City decreasing from 4.67 percent in 2013 to 4.31 percent in 2017. Other research findings also show that the migration of job seekers out of Batu City tends to be low, while the migration of job seekers into Batu City tends to be high. This study concludes that the development of tourism in Batu City is effective in creating jobs and reducing poverty levels.

Penyandang disabilitas adalah seseorang  yang mengalami keterbatasan fisik, intelektual, mental, dan indera untuk waktu yang lama dalam berinteraksi dengan lingkungan dapat mengalami hambatan dan kesulitan untuk berpartisipasi secara penuh dan efektif dengan warga negara lain berdasarkan kesetaraan hak. Salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan keterampilan penyandang disabilitas adalah melalui pembinaan yang dilakukan oleh lembaga rehabilitasi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana program peningkatan kemampuan untuk penyandang disabilitas netra di Panti Rehabilitasi Sosial Bina Netra di Kota Malang, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian ditentukan secara purposif yaitu pengelola Panti Rehabilitasi Sosial Bina Netra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program peningkatan keterampilan bagi penyandang cacat netra  meliputi: (1) bimbingan fisik mental; (2) bimbingan sosial; (3) Bimbingan keterampilan; (4) Penempatan di komunitas; dan (5) Pelatihan lebih lanjut, sehingga penyandang cacat visual memiliki keterampilan kerja dan bisnis setelah lulus dari suatu institusi. Program peningkatan keterampilan ini mampu membuat para penyandang cacat netra menjadi lebih mandiri dalam menjalani kehidupan mereka sehari-hari.Â

This study focused on mapping the phases and dynamics of the social movement process of Lapindo mudflow disaster victims in Indonesia. This study was analyzed by using a qualitative. The subject of the study was determined by purposive sampling in which all elements involved in the social movement of mudflow disaster victims. The data were collected by using in-depth interview, observation, FGD, and documentation. The stages of the analysis process involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusion. The results of the study indicated that the social movements were mapped into three phases: (1) the period of the emergence of the pre-social movement ideas; (2) the period of stabilization and consolidation of the social movements; and (3) the period of the social movement decline. Meanwhile, the dynamics of the social movements of Lapindo mudflow were based on three aspects: (1) political opportunity; (2) mobilizing structure, and (3) cultural framings.

This research aims to identification ofthe literacy of empowering actors about the social environment and the role of empowering actors in the community-based community empowerment process, in Wolulas Village, Malang. This study uses a qualitative approachwith a descriptive type. The researchsubjects were determined purposively, namely empowering actors which included: manager of family welfare, community leaders, and youth organizations, in citizen organizations 18. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Dataanalysis techniques:process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The conclusion of the research is a description of actor's literacy about the social environment in the process of community empowerment in Wolulas Village which includes the social environment as social capital, the environment must be managed properly for the benefit of the community, the environment consists ofthe physical and social environment that must be harmonized; and the environment of Kampung Wolulas has the potential to be developed as a“Tourism and Education Village”.. Meanwhile, the roles of actors in the community empowerment process include: Initiator, Motivator, Coordinator, Planner, Facilitator, and Communicator. Furthermore, suggestions and recommendations: in order to increase the role of empowering actors, it is necessary to involve the government in training to increase the capacity of empowering actors, and need for cooperation and participation from the community.

This research examines the reasons for early marriage in Jatimulyo Village and the impact that occurs in the family life. The research uses descriptive qualitative research in which the research data is based on data found in the field. The data collection method uses direct observation in Jatimulyo Village. Direct and-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects used case studies. The data analysis technique used was data reduction, data presentation, verification and coclusion drawing. The result showed: Marriage carried out at an early age does not always end ini divorce and also does not always end without problems, emotions and respect for partners are very important in a marriage relationship. As for the impact to early marriage that occurs in family life, namely for couples whose marriage smoothly have a beneficial impact on both parties, both parents and marriage couples. Appart for adding new family members, it alsi strengthens brotherhood. For couples whose marriages do not run smoothly, it has an impact on the loose ties of brotherhood and experiences a burden on the mind Keywords : early marriage, teenagers, Jatimulyo village.

Malang Over the past 5 years in a row from 2014 to 2018 the number of tourists increased from 2.4 million to 4.8 million. Achievement is the motivation of government in promoting tourism in the city poor. One of the attractions which then began dikembangankan namely haritage Kajoetangan travel, new tour which was inaugurated in April 2018 with the theme of history and antiques are located in the center of the city of Malang. Tourism development has so far focused more Kajoetangan haritage tourist attraction in the form of introductions haritage buildings, antiques and themed spotfoto haritage. A lack of accessibility and the lack of facilities and infrastructure in the development of these tours make travel floating Kajoetangan not running optimally. Using descriptive qualitative research methods, Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The theory used is collaborative governance Amarson and Nabachi using pentehelix stakeholders namely the government, komonitas, private, academic, media. The results showed that the collaboration between the drivers civil society Kajoetangan, Malang haritage commonity, Department of culture and tourism of Malang city, bussines soak Ngalam, city Guede FM as well as the Institute of technology Malang, those actors have acted as facilitators, carry out tourism promotion and support in the implementation of program collaboration activity. Accomplishment collaboration activity indicates that Kajoetangan haritage have started to travel widely known but in terms of revenue contribution is still significant areas. Overall the realization of collaboration is then implemented with a common principle through dialogue forums, mutual motivation and capacity between actors, but there are some shortcomings that in this case not yet a tourism development Kajoetangan in aspects of facilities, accessibility and infrastructure and the interest of coordination between actors and commitment.

Salah satu masalah sosial yang dihadapi Indonesia adalah masalah kemiskinan. Upaya mengatasi kemiskinan antara lain bisa dilakukan melalui penciptaan lapangan kerja. Pengembangan pariwisata dipandang merupakan strategi yang tepat untuk mempercepat pertumbuhan lapangan kerja. Pariwisata merupakan salah satu jenis industri baru yang mampu mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi dan penyediaan lapangan kerja, peningkatan penghasilan, standar hidup serta menstimulasi sektor-sektor produksi lainya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan secara konseptual tentang keterkaitan antara pengembangan pariwisata, pertumbuhan lapangan kerja, dan upaya pengentasan kemiskinan.

Kegitan bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat RW 18, Kelurahan Turen, Kabupaten Malang dalam pengelolaan program Kampung Wolulas sebagai Kampung Wisata Edukasi. Metode kegiatan dilakukan melalui pelatihan (training) dan pendampingan yang meliputi aspek manajemen produksi, pemasaran, keuangan, dan pengelolaan lingkungan yang meliputi penataan taman lingkungan, pengelolaan sampah menjadi pupuk organic, dan penataan tempat sampah organic,serta bantuan alat untuk mendukung pengembangan usaha kue dan kegiatan pengelolaan Bank Sampah. Luaran utama kegiatan ini adalah berupa kemasan produk kue (bolu) dan aneka minuman instan. Sasaran utama kegiatan ini adalah warga RW 18, Kelurahan Turen, Kabupaten Malang yang meliputi ibu-ibu anggota PKK RW, Karang Taruna, dan Tokoh Masyarakat. Hasil kegiatan memberikan dampak yang positif bagi masyarakat Kampus Wolulas, RW 18, Kelurahan Turen berupa: (1) peningkatan keterampilan variasi pembuatan kue bagi ibu-ibu PKK, (2) peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan mengela internet bagi Karang Taruna, (3) Peningkatan kemampuan pembukuan bagi pengurus Bank Sampah, (4) Peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam membuat tanaman organic, dan (5) Peningkatan pengetahuan dan kemampuan dalam pengelolaan lingkungan sosial bagi pengurus RW.

Wilayah Indonesia merupakan kawasan rawan bencana, baik bencana alam, bencana non-alam, maupun bencana sosial. Proses manajemen bencana dilakukan melalui empat fase, yakni fase: mitigasi, kesiap-siagaan, tanggap darurat, dan fase pemulihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan konstruksi masyarakat tentang pengetahuan dan nilai kearifan sosial masyarakat lokal dalam proses manajemen bencana Gunung Kelud. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan dan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan teknik analisa data menggunakan teknik deskriptif-kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian di Desa Pandansari, Kecamatan Ngantang, Kabupaten Malang, yang merupakan wilayah utama terkena dampak bencana Gunung Kelud. Subjek penelitian ditentukan secara purposive sampling , yang meliputi Aparat Desa Pandansari, tokoh masyarakat Desa Pandansari, dan Ketua Forum Pengurangan Resiko Bencana (FPRB). Hasil penelitian dapat dinyatakan bahwa masyarakat memiliki pengetahuan tentang tanda-tanda alam akan terjadinya erupsi Gunung Kelud yaitu: (1) Terjadi migrasi binatang seperti monyet, ular, burung, dan sebagainya yang turun ke wilayah permukimamn masyarakat, (2) Debit sumber air, seperti sumur, mata air, dan sungai kecil berkurang dan mengering, (3) Muncul awan panas dan gerah, (4) Muncul gempa-gempa kecil disertai kilat dan bunyi gelegar kecil, (5) Tumbuhan dan tanaman layu dan berubah warna, dan (6) Tokoh Tetua masyarakat bermimpi didatangi “Lembu Suro”. Sedangkan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal masyarakat terhadap Gunung Kelud tercermin dalam bentuk “ Ritual Sesaji Gunung Kelud ” dan “ Budaya Gotong Royong ”. Negara kesejahteraan ( welfare state ) dianggap sebagai jawaban yang paling tepat atas bentuk keterlibatan negara dalam memajukan kesejahteraan rakyat. Keyakinan ini diperkuat oleh munculnya kenyataan empiris mengenai kegagalan pasar ( market failure ) dan kegagalan negara ( state failure ) dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan rakyat. Menurut Goodin (1999; dalam Simarmata, 2008: 19) negara kesejahteraan sering diasosiasikan dengan proses distribusi sumber daya yang ada kepada publik, baik secara tunai maupun dalam bentuk tertentu ( cash benefits or benefits in kind ). Konsep kesejahteraan juga terkait erat dengan kebijakan sosial-ekonomi yang berupaya untuk mewujudkan kesejahteraan rakyat secara umum. Beberapa bidang yang paling mendesak untuk diperhatikan dalam kebijakan kesejahteraan adalah masalah pendidikan, kesehatan dan penyediaan lapangan kerja. Secara umum suatu negara bisa digolongkan sebagai negara kesejahteraan jika mempunyai empat pilar utamanya, yaitu: (1) social citizenship ; (2) full democracy ; (3) modern industrial relation systems ; dan (4) rights to education and the expansion of modern mass educations systems Kata kunci : negara kesejahteraan, kegagalan pasar, kegagalan negara Welfare state is considered as the most appropriate response on the form of state involvement in advancing the welfare of the people. Fenomena yang menjadi fokus perhatian dalam penelitian ini adalah fenomena konflik yang terjadi antar kelompok korban bencana Lumpur Lapindo (Lula) di Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tentang: (1) Bagaimana proses terbentuknya kelompok-kelompok korban bencana Lumpur Lapindo hingga terjadinya konflik antar kelompok korban bencana Lumpur Lapindo di Sidoarjo; (2) Faktor-faktor apakah yang menyebabkan terjadinya konflik horisontal antar kelompok korban bencana Lumpur Lapindo di Sidoarjo; dan (3) Bagaimana bentuk-bentuk konflik horisontal antar kelompok korban bencana Lumpur Lapindo di Sidoarjo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, jenis penelitian studi kasus, teknik analisa data deskriptif-kualitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi indeepth interview, Focus Group Discussion, observation, dan documentation. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa korban bencana Lumpur Lapindo membentuk kelompok sebagai wadah dalam memperjuangkan hak-hak mereka. Terdapat dua kelompok utama korban bencana Lumpur Lapindo, yakni kelompok GKLL dan kelompok Pagarekorlap, namun kelompok ini mengalami friksi dan perpecahan dalam tiga hal yakni perubahan nama kelompok, bentuk tuntutan proses pembayaran ganti rugi, dan strategi aksi, sehingga menimbulkan konflik horisontal antara kelompok korban bencana Lumpur Lapindo dalam bentuk: konflik kepentingan, konflik strategi aksi, dan konflik mekanisme tuntutan ganti rugi.Kata kunci: Bencana, Konflik, Kelompok. AbstractA phenomenon that became the focus of attention in this study is the phenomenon of conflict between groups of Lapindo mudflow disaster victims (Lula) in Sidoarjo. This study aims to assess: (1) How is the process of formation of the groups and conflict between groups Lapindo mudflow disaster victims in Sidoarjo?; (2) What factors are causing horizontal conflicts between groups Lapindo mudflow disaster victims in Sidoarjo?; and (3) How the forms of horizontal conflicts between groups Lapindo mudflow disaster victims in Sidoarjo?. This study used a qualitative approach, case study research, data analysis techniques descriptive qualitative, and data collection techniques include indeepth interviews, focus group discussions, observation, and documentation. The results showed that Lapindo mudflow disaster victims formed the group as a forum in Struggle their rights. There are two main groups of Lapindo mudflow disaster victims,namely GKLL groups and groups Pagarekorlap, however this group experienced friction and split in three ways ie change the group name, the form of demands compensation payment process, and action strategies, causing horizontal conflicts among groups Lapindo mudflow disaster victims in the form of: a conflict of interest, conflict action strategy, and conflict redress mechanism.Keywords: Conflicts, Disasters, Group.
