Reading habit is a fundamental skill necessary in the life of every student. It is essential in developing a more civilized and knowledgeable society. Therefore, the study investigated reading habit of secondary school students and ways of developing and improving of school libraries in Nigeria. The study reviewed the basis of reading skills, reading skill as a prerequisite of students' development, strategies for improving reading habit in schools, guidelines for improving reading habit and the influence of new technology in child development. However, the study finally recommended that school administrators should see the library as a necessity in the development and improvement of teaching and learning. And should employ professional librarians and, or, media specialist to direct and coordinate the activities of the school library.

Digital Object Identifier (DOI) has been internationally recognized as a standard for identifying information resources on the web. It is an advanced tool that provides unique identification or permanent links to find specific journal articles and other information resources online. This paper discusses digital object identifier and their use in accessing online scholarly materials in Africa. It looks at the extent of Uniform Resource Locators (URL), understanding DOI functionalities, and benefits of DOI, scholarly materials with DOI in Africa with a critical examination of African Online Journals (AJOL) which is the biggest database in Africa. It was therefore discovered that the use and application of DOI in accessing online scholarly materials of African origin is still at crawling stage. The study recommends that the publishers in Africa should take advantage of this development by doing the needful and emulate those journals in African Online Journals (AJOL) to register their publications for DOI. This will enhance wider visibility and easy retrieval of African scholarly materials, while African authors also needs to wake up to explore the benefit of the DOI. Objective-The main objective of the study is to investigate the assessment of social media use on study habits among nursing students in Babcock University ilishan-Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria. Methods-The study adopted survey research design. Structured questionnaire was used to collect data. Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) was used to analysis. Specifically, data collected were analyzed using charts, graphs, percentages and frequency were used to answer the research questions. The Analysis of Variance were used to test hypotheses at 0.05 significant level. Results-The results and findings revealed that 66 (68.8%) of the respondents use the social media many times a day while a handful of them use it occasionally. Most of the respondents use SM less than one hour. The study reveals that the respondents mostly use Whatsapp and YouTube. The study shows that the time spent on the use of social media has no significant effect on the study habit of nursing students. The study also reveals that social media use has no significant effect on the study habits of nursing students of the institution understudy. Conclusion-The most dynamic and adorable technology of the 21st Century, common to the internet generation students is the social media. Its potentials and capability to enhance quality education is paramount to academic performance. Therefore, understanding the use of SM among nursing students demands that librarians should sensitize them on the need to blueprint their study schedule in order to activate their consciousness in utilizing the potentials of social media to their education. The increase use of mobile devices has made learning more accessible and e-resources easily shared. Therefore, students are moving away from browser based Web environment into the mobile app-centric world. The study investigates the use of mobile devices in learning foreign languages in Afe Babalola University. Four research questions guided the study and the data collection instrument used was structured questionnaire, the study adopted survey research method. The finding shows that respondents use Android phones, iPhone and iPad in learning foreign languages. They have a good knowledge of Chinese, French and English languages through the use of mobile devices. Majority of the respondents acknowledge the high impact of mobile device in learning foreign languages. The respondents revealed that limited access to Wi- Fi in the institution and poor interface and memory capacity of mobile devices are their major challenges. The study recommends that academic institution should endeavour to provide adequate access to Wi-Fi connection, in order to enable easy access to Internet and students are also urge to buy mobile devices with high memory capacity so that it can enable them download heavy apps centered on learning. The advent of Internet have given rise to the exponential growth of health information resources which has invariably provided a wider means of access to health professional in meeting their immediate information needs. The study investigated the use of internet health information resources and information seeking behaviour among health professionals in federal medical center, Abuja. Five research questions guided the study and the data collection instrument used was structured questionnaire, the study adopted survey research method. The finding shows that (83.7%) of the respondents have average levels of Internet use proficiency. The study revealed that majority of the respondents rarely use e-book, e-journals, Websites, e-newspaper/Bulletin. The finding shows that the respondents only use African Journal Online (AJOL) and Nursing Journals. Based on the information seeking behaviour of the respondents, it was revealed that (85.7%) of the respondents do not have understanding of limitations of internet resources. The challenges encountered by majority of the respondents are slow connection of the Internet, lack of awareness of the available Internet health information resources in the library, poor/lack of subscription of e-databases and lack of time. The study finally recommends that health institutions should endeavour to provide basic information technology literacy training to health professionals, maintain continuous subscription of health e-databases, create awareness of open access health information resources and also improve effective access to Internet connection.
