A fluorescent and colorimetric dual-mode strategy based on carbon dots (CDs) was rationally designed for sensitive determination of Cu2+. Green fluorescent CDs with high absolute quantum yield of 72.9% were synthesized by facile one-step hydrothermal treatment of triethylenetetramine and Rose Bengal. Cu2+ could trigger the oxidative and chromogenic reaction of p-phenylenediamine (PPD) to generate chromogenic PPDox, accompanied by the fluorescence quenching of the CDs. The quenching mechanism was identified as the inner filter effect between PPDox and CDs. Therefore, a colorimetric/fluorescent dual-mode detection method for Cu2+ recognition was constructed. The limits of detection for Cu2+ were 4.14 μM and 1.28 μM for colorimetric and fluorescent mode, respectively. In this paper, a new type of structured electron beam is introduced, which is the electron Airy tornado wave (eATW) with the characteristics of abrupt auto‐focusing and rotation property in free space. It is also found that the eATWs propagate periodically in a magnetic field, and their patterns of intensity distributions show the time‐like axial symmetry about a half‐period point in a period of time. By designing the intricate coherence structure, we are able to create a desired beam profile and trajectory. Our research focus lies on the Fourier plane, specifically emphasizing the coherence of spatial frequencies, and we find it can be seen as a constant system response. A theoretical framework is developed, and experimental studies are conducted to generate a light field of the spatial spectrum with a complex correlation using the pseudo-mode superposition method. We successfully produce partially coherent Pearcey-Gauss beams whose spatial spectrum is hyperbolic sine correlational. Interestingly, these beams maintain the distinctive propagation properties of the Pearcey pattern while exhibiting the remarkable ability to split the mainlobe into two separate lobes.

It is a highly significant area of research to investigate how to effectively enhance the focusing ability of abruptly auto-focusing beams (AAFBs) while extending the focal length. We introduce a dual-region parabolic trajectory offset modulation to auto-focusing ring Pearcey beams (RPBs), presenting a novel, to the best of our knowlege, approach to extend the focal length while greatly enhancing their auto-focusing capabilities. Unlike directly introducing a linear chirp, which inevitably shortens the focal length to enhance the auto-focusing ability and allows only single focusing in the RPBs, our scheme can achieve a multi-focusing effect. Furthermore, we have experimentally generated such a beam, verifying our theoretical predictions. Our findings offer promising possibilities for generating optical bottles, trapping multiple particles periodically, and enhancing free-space optical communication capabilities.
