Мета роботи: метою статті є розвиток існуючих методичних підходів щодо оцінювання воєнно-економічних спроможностей країни в умовах війни та мирного стану. Дизайн/Метод/Підхід дослідження: для реалізації мети дослідження проведено її декомпозицію та досліджено: існуючі підходи щодо оцінювання воєнно-економічного потенціалу країни, могутності країни та національної могутності; розкрито поняття критичного навантаження національної економіки; наведено загальноприйняті норми щодо фінансування оборонних потреб; наведено досвід фінансування потреб оборони провідними країнами світу – в умовах Другої Світової Війни; запропоновано методичний підхід щодо оцінювання воєнно-економічних спроможностей країни. Результати дослідження: у статті запропоновано методичний підхід щодо оцінювання воєнно-економічних спроможностей країни. Теоретична цінність дослідження: за результатами дослідження удосконалена існуюча теорія воєнної економіки у контексті розуміння допустимого навантаження на економіку країни в умовах війни та розвитку методичних підходів щодо оцінювання воєнно-економічних спроможностей країни. Запропонований методичний підхід є розвитком існуючої воєнно-економічної думки та воєнно-економічного планування на основі спроможностей. Практична цінність дослідження: запропонований методичний підхід дозволяє оцінити спроможності національної економіки щодо задоволення воєнно-економічних потреб в умовах війни за галузями економіки та видами військового забезпечення з урахуванням показника критичного навантаження на національну економіку, що допоможе спростити та покращити процес прийняття воєнно-політичних рішень. Оригінальність/Цінність дослідження: практична цінність дослідження полягає в тому, що запропонована методика оцінювання воєнно-економічних спроможностей країни дозволяє виявити критичні галузі економіки, оцінити їхні спроможності щодо ресурсного забезпечення військових потреб в умовах війни, на основі чого сформувати та прийняти відповідні управлінські рішення. Результати дослідження можуть бути використані в подальших дослідженнях проблем розвитку воєнно-економічного потенціалу країни, балансування військових та цивільних економічних потреб в умовах війни, а також воєнно-економічного планування на основі спроможностей. Обмеження дослідження/Майбутні дослідження: обмеження дослідження полягає у використанні джерел, що знаходяться у відкритому доступі. Майбутні дослідження вбачаються у подальшому розвитку методичних підходів щодо оцінювання та розвитку воєнно-економічного потенціалу країни. Тип статті: теоретичний, практичний.

The resources and resource potential of the innovative component of nanoeconomics are analyzed. The factors of production – classical types of resources such as land, labor, capital and technology – are described. Ways of influencing the security resources of nanoeconomics within the innovation paradigm are evaluated. The purpose of the study is to identify the factor of nanoeconomics in the formation of resource security potential in the innovation paradigm. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: to characterize the importance of the land resource as a factor in the potential of economic nanosystems; to highlight the importance of capital as a factor of nanoproduction and an indicator of the innovation paradigm; to determine the labor resource in the development of innovative nanosystems; to analyze the intellectual potential of nanoeconomic development of the innovation paradigm; to identify clusters of innovative nanopotential in the regions of countries with transition economies. Each resource is examined separately with the first analysis of a resource security assessment such as land. The other resource under consideration is labor. Demographic factors become decisive in describing the development of labor resources. The capital factor allows the formation of independent economic systems, when the state budget affects the possibility of developing science, education and health care. A number of methods were applied during the study: methods of induction and deduction (to assess the importance of the innovation paradigm for the development of nanoeconomics); system analysis and structural approach (to determine the aggregate state of production factors); method of comparing the quality of production factors in market economies and in developed countries; an observation method (for assessing the state of resources in different countries); method of cluster analysis (to determine the existence of innovation-territorial regions in countries with economies in transition). The analysis is carried out to identify the conditions of the impact of production factors on the innovative paradigm of nanoeconomics. It reveals theoretical approaches to the formation of nanoeconomics and its active development. As a result of the study of intellectual and resource potential of security, a cluster analysis was carried out to assess the conditions for the formation of innovation-territorial regions. This study allows to understand the role of production security factors in the formation of the innovation paradigm and the efficiency of the development of nanoeconomics. The way of providing the basis for the development of nanoeconomics in the form of efficient use of production factors is considered as a perspective.

The article considers the problem of ensuring the economic security of trade enterprises by forming an optimal pricing policy. The methodology of formation the minimum and maximum selling prices of trade enterprise, maintenance of margin of economic security, which based on research of turnover costs and working capital of trade enterprise is offered. Based on statistical data of trade enterprises, the types of prices by product range are determined, which form a stable economic situation and ensure economic security of trade enterprise. The necessity of formation the optimal price policy and selling prices of trade enterprises with the use of Pareto efficiency tools and construction of single-criteria and multi-criteria tasks, indicators of quality of commodity resources of trade enterprises is substantiated. Using the Excel software processor and the “Regression” function, economic-mathematical models of optimal prices for the product range of trade enterprises are built. The results testified to the effectiveness of the proposed model of the optimal pricing policy of trade enterprises, as the obtained values are within the minimum selling prices, which provides economic security of trade enterprises. The process of forming the pricing policy of trade enterprises to ensure economic security is proposed, which is based on the principles of pricing, appropriate methodological tools and monitoring of market environment factors. Organizational, economic, legal, social and market (marketing) mechanisms for the formation of effective pricing policy of trade enterprises aimed at ensuring economic security are identified. This study is practically interesting for personnel of trade enterprises, regardless of organizational-legal forms of ownership and activities, and theoretically – for researchers dealing with pricing.

The aim of our work was to identify the role and the potential of the Air Power in modern warfare as a security factor. The Air Power itself is a concept, which had initially materialized almost one hundred years ago over the battlefields of the World War I. Since then we could witness a staging development in the field of technology and the Art of War, which momentum and scope has no precedence in history. In other words, it has taken less than one hundred years for human to move from fragile and underpowered biplanes to supersonic jet fighters and stealth bombers, which represent a state of art technology of mankind. Such speed in development had no precedence in any other operational domain, except maybe of cyberspace.

The study deals with measures to eliminate safety risks in the course of paramedics and other emergency staff 's work when providing emergency healthcare to a patient. We presented recommendations based on the results of our questionnaire research. Safety of the emergency health care workers when they are trying to assist people in distress is one of the most important issues. Statistics show an increasing number of physical and verbal assaults on the health care workers, which says a lot about problems they have to face during their work. Safety of emergency rescue workers is of utmost importance and these incidents prevent them from carrying out their work in the way it should be done. Therefore, it is important to identify these risks and prevent them. Proper communication is important to properly eliminate an aggressive patient. This is sometimes more effective than medication alone. The behaviour and emotions are mutually conditioned and influence each other. From the behaviour of man we can judge not only what he experiences, but also their behaviour. This study presents what needs to be changed and where we should draw our attention. We assume, that the recommendations would be a great kick off point for changes in the area of safety and health protection of the EMS workers.

The article deals with security as a scientific discipline dealing with the assessment of the technical condition of machineries, hazards identification and risks assessment which could lead to fatal consequences. Article highlights the importance of using methods of risk assessment as well as the importance of the security evaluation in manufacturing companies. This article provides an overview of the most widely used risk assessment methods and specifically referred to point method, which is one of the most widely used risk assessment methods.

The COVID-19 disease pandemic, representing a worldwide problem, has moved the world population into a position it has not experienced since World War II. However, there is one difference: the problem has stricken not only Europe but the whole American continent, Asia and Africa. Solution to the problem can be divided into two levels, namely medical and social. At the social level, the only solution is crisis management, or simply prevention and crisis activities carried out by representatives of the governments, and the willingness of citizens to follow specific regulations. However, a combination of the estimate of risk and efficient regulations in compliance with medical care must pursue the sole aim, namely to stabilise and stop the spread of the coronavirus. One part of crisis management is represented by the proper documentation of particular procedures and the drawing of conclusions for the future. This paper is the result of conducting an institutional project at the University of Security Management in Košice, and characterizes the position of the crisis management and rescue units in solving the pandemic in the Slovak Republic. In addition, the paper compares starting points of crisis management and measures taken by selected countries, and identifies the problem of the crisis management both at state and individual levels in Slovakia. When a paramedic embarks on the process of providing health care, he or she starts a long and difficult journey of professional and personal growth. The high level of complexity and responsibility inherent in the coordinated operation of rescue services while securing and carrying out activities and measures related to the provision of emergency care brings many unforeseen situations. By analyzing the risks of paramedic work, this paper seeks to identify the extent of necessary protective measures with the potential of increasing the safety of the profession. This papers deal with basics operational procedures of information security risk management. It briefly describes recommendations for managing the information security in order to minimize the risk occurrences in companies as well as in individuals. The aim of this paper is to identify the legislative basis referring to the position and activities of the Rescue and Fire Brigade Corps, the Medical Rescue Service and the Voluntary Municipal Fire Brigade in Slovakia. The paper deals with the results of an analysis based on a questionnaire research focusing on cooperation between professional and voluntary fire brigades and the Medical Rescue Service during common interventions. The research includes answers from 97 respondents. The analysis shows that cooperation between the afore-mentioned rescue units is in general good, however it has some shortcomings and problems, such as poor communication and insufficient common training. In favour of improving cooperation, members of the rescue units recommend not only frequent tactical training focusing on particular situations, but also professional training and other similar common meetings., (Copyright © 2021 Euro-Mediterranean Council for Burns and Fire Disasters.)

The aim of the paper is to compare the safety awareness and preparation of children and adolescents for an extraordinary event, with an emphasis on fire protection. The Fire Prevention Programme in Poland is a unique preventive and educational initiative developed by a team of fire and rescue experts in Poznan. These experts have worked with colleagues in the UK for many years and have benefited from their experience with similar programmes that have produced measurable results in improving the safety of local communities. The priority of the pre-school fire prevention programme in Hungary is to contribute to the active learning of the surrounding world of children, to the formation of safe lifestyles. In the Czech Republic, the preventive programme "Education of children in the field of fire protection and protection of the population" is implemented to a good level. There is absolute inadequacy and out-dated study materials in the area in the Slovak Republic. There is no separate subject dealing with emergencies.
