This paper examines the art forms that use motion as the main medium. It focuses on the various kinds of movable books that share the capacity for physical transformation and are collectively known as pop-up books. In the last 30 years, contemporary art museums have included them in their publishing programs; museum bookstores have increased the number of special displays, creating a physical neighborhood with kinetic artworks, which are primarily associated with motion-based art. Consequently, the problem of the relationship between the two arises. Despite the common forms and themes they tackle, there is a distinct gap between kinetic art and the pop-up book in theoretical discourse. It manifests itself, first, in vocabulary, as a lack of clear definitions and terms; second, through the isolation of the theoretical studies in these two domains. Referring to ideas of Frank Popper and George Rickey on kinetic art and focusing on the spectator’s perspective, I seek to define the elements of a common vocabulary. Based on a comparative study of kinetic artworks and pop-up books, I propose a classification of art forms from two perspectives – the first relying on motion and physical mechanisms and the second centered around the effects of movement. This study investigates the physical, mechanical, and structural characteristics of handmade paper samples derived from cellulose extracted from grass clippings using two distinct methods as follows: (1) alkali treatment and (2) alkali treatment followed by bleaching, coupled with the incorporation of barium sulfate as a mineral filler. Our investigation revealed that the handmade paper samples' densities, moisture contents, and thicknesses varied within the ranges of 0.436 to 0.549 g/cm3, 5.60 to 2.51%, and 0.41 to 0.50 mm, respectively. The tensile strength and folding endurance of the papers produced through alkali treatment with barium sulfate were notably superior to those produced from bleached pulp and barium sulfate. Our analysis indicates that several critical factors, including paper density, thickness, the crystallinity index, and the microfibrillar structure of cellulose, intricately influence the mechanical and strength properties of the samples. Using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques, we identified characteristic cellulose bonds and examined cellulose's crystalline and amorphous phases. Additionally, the crystallinity index of the samples was determined using both the Segal and peak deconvolution methods. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) micrographs revealed interconnected networks of cellulose fibers with varying thicknesses and lengths, along with incorporated mineral filler within the cellulose fiber structure. Variations in mineral particle retention were attributed to the presence or absence of cellulose microfibrils. These findings contribute to our understanding of the observed strength characteristics of the paper samples and underscore the potential applications of cellulose derived from grass clippings, especially when combined with barium sulfate as a mineral filler in paper production. In order to obtain stable and reliable configuration transformation ability, reliability optimization design is regarded as an effective way to reduce the probability of kinematic function failure for the constrained metamorphic mechanism. Based on the structural composition principle of multi-configuration source metamorphic mechanism that can operate in an under-actuated state, the modularized calculation methods are established for the force analysis of augmented Assur groups including metamorphic kinematic joints. According to the equivalent resistance gradient model of metamorphic mechanisms, with considering the uncertainties in the link dimensions, masses, and compliance parameters et al., a probabilistic evaluation method for describing the configuration transformation ability of the constrained metamorphic mechanism is established. Based on reliability evaluation and reliability sensitivity analysis, a reliability optimization design method for improving the configuration transformation ability is proposed, and then the optimization design is carried out for tolerances of random variables focusing on those structural parameters with higher reliability sensitivity, so that the optimized results can satisfy the requirements of both reliability and economic simultaneously. Finally, the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the illustration of a paper folding metamorphic mechanism. The research provides the foundation of reliability design of metamorphic mechanisms to obtain the high-probability repeated execution ability of configuration transformation, it also has theoretical and practical significance to promote the engineering application of metamorphic mechanisms. This paper introduces Art_GenEvalGPT, a novel dataset of synthetic dialogues centered on art generated through ChatGPT. Unlike existing datasets focused on conventional art-related tasks, Art_GenEvalGPT delves into nuanced conversations about art, encompassing a wide variety of artworks, artists, and genres, and incorporating emotional interventions, integrating speakers' subjective opinions and different roles for the conversational agents (e.g., teacher-student, expert guide, anthropic behavior or handling toxic users). Generation and evaluation stages of GenEvalGPT platform are used to create the dataset, which includes 13,870 synthetic dialogues, covering 799 distinct artworks, 378 different artists, and 26 art styles. Automatic and manual assessment proof the high quality of the synthetic dialogues generated. For the profile recovery, promising lexical and semantic metrics for objective and factual attributes are offered. For subjective attributes, the evaluation for detecting emotions or subjectivity in the interventions achieves 92% of accuracy using LLM-self assessment metrics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In order to study the cutting performance of the straight edge hob and reduce the cutting power consumption model of the straight edge hob, this paper takes the cutting power of the straight edge hob as the minimum goal, and establishes the mathematical model of the optimization design of the straight edge hob based on the composite optimization method. The mathematical model is solved by MATLAB software. At the same time,the mowing characteristics of a roller blade were studied by investigating the relationship between the hob and the coordination of variables such as rotational speed and roller diameter with the mowing parameters. The parameter analysis of straight edge hob before and after structural parameter optimization is generated, and a design method is proposed based on this. After defining the objective function and constraint conditions, the influence of structural parameters on the power consumption and efficiency of the hob was determined by optimising the complex method; this could significantly adjust the hob parameters to lower its power consumption. The energy consumption of the optimized design is reduced by 11.1 % compared with the original scheme, and the optimization effect is remarkable. The results show that the best working parameters of the hob are cutting speed of 1000 r/min, sliding cutting angle and grinding edge angle of 25~30°. Moreover, practical tests demonstrated the feasibility of using the proposed method to design the straight edge hob to improve mowing performance and hob stability. In Older to promote the innovation of knitted fabric structure and surface effect, the semi-three-dimensional geometric origami force was taken as the research object, jlid its internal structure was deduced into plane form by analyzing the foliation principle of semi-three-dimensional form and using planarization design thinking. With the help of Ml Plus paein design software of STOLL company and CMS 502 computer flat knitting machine, the one-side and two-side pseupro-semi-three-dimensional geonfetric origami fabric was realized. The machine parameters, yarn selection, structure design and plate making were discussed in detail, and the influence of different structure and yarn material on the smart effect of the fabric was evaluated. The results show that using the double-sided structure design and yarn with high elasticity and hardness can better shape the semi-three-dimensional geometric origami. In addition, the flexible use of needle arrangement, yarn material and parameter changes in the design can form different geometric origami patterns of knitted fabrics, which provides a useful reference for the innovative design of fabric structure. Background: With overall academic achievements decreasing, policies tend to dedicate more curricular time to other subjects than physical education (PE). In light of increasingly sedentary lifestyles and rises in levels of overweight and obesity, this trend is detrimental within the global health context. Simultaneously, research on the connection between physical activity, cognitive functions, and academic achievement is on the rise. Cognitive functions like good spatial abilities have frequently been associated with higher achievements in STEM-subjects. This study is aimed to investigate the effects of a 6-week coordinative motor training with spatial elements on spatial ability performances in healthy children. Methods: Fifty-three children (mean age ± SD; 11.3 ± 0.6 years; 30 girls) participated in either a 6-week coordinative motor training (i.e., intervention group; 2x/week, 45 min/session) or attended regular PE class using the same volume (i.e., control group). Spatial abilities before and after the intervention period were evaluated in both groups using the Paper Folding Test (PFT), Mental Rotation Test (MRT), Water Level Task (WLT), Corsi Block Test (CBT), and Numbered Cones Run (NCR). Results: No significant differences between groups were observed at baseline. A main effect of test but not of group was found for all variables. For all but one test (i.e., PFT), a significant test × group interaction was detected. Post-hoc analyses revealed significant medium- to large-sized improvements from pre- to posttest in the intervention but not in the control group. Conclusion: The results indicate that a 6-week coordinative motor training with spatial elements is feasible in school-aged children and positively affects their spatial abilities. The paper focuses on the cutting behavior of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) composites and GNP–GFRP composites that contain varying amounts of Graphene Nano Platelets (GNP). GFRP composites are increasingly being used in a variety of industrial applications due to their excellent mechanical properties, such as high strength, stiffness, and low weight. However, their machining and cutting behavior can be challenging due to the presence of the reinforcing fibers. Therefore, the study aims to investigate the machining behavior of GFRP composites and the effect of adding GNP on their cutting behavior. The effect of different parameters such as cutting speed, feed rate and reinforcement rate on cutting forces and delamination factor is investigated. In addition, the tensile strength and fatigue behavior of the composite materials with the best and worst delamination factors were also determined. Addition of up to 0.2 wt.% of GNP to GFRP composites resulted in an increase in cutting forces and delamination factor when drilling GFRP composites. While the cutting force and delamination factor decreased with the increase in cutting speed, the cutting force and delamination factor increased with the increase in the feed rate. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to determine the effects of drilling parameters and reinforcement ratio on cutting force and delamination factor according to full factorial experimental design. The most efficient factor on the cutting forces is found to be feed rate (84.97%), followed by the reinforced rate (6.48%) and cutting speed (6.13%). This article reports on a study where we used a novel method to work with university students at a media technology and design programme to innovate on questions related to futuring in an educational context. Participating students used creative methods, paper crafting and design methods to "hack" the university campus in a post-COVID-19 scenario. This study situates hackathon as a design method that can be used to foster problem-solving and critical thinking skills in the context of current challenges. The students were asked to identify possible challenges in a post-COVID-19 return on campus and consider solutions to these challenges. They were tasked to shape their solutions in the form of a "sustainable artefact" meant to facilitate a smoother, safer, and welcoming return to campus life. In this study we reflect on how they engaged critically with the campus green and built infrastructure and how have they considered changes that would make their return to campus life a positive experience. Through the analysis of students' assignments, we demonstrate how this method allowed for space in finding one's own voice, how the design material supported students' work on future design, and how aspects of future design are helping students finding a way of acting upon current calls to re-work our cities. This paper approaches the role of Origami Art role in teaching Descriptive Geometry to students, future builders. Using the Art of Paper Folding in the application classes of Descriptive Geometry, we demonstrate that the acquiring of knowledge and skills in educational practice is complemented by the development of creativity, imagination, Aesthetics and team spirit. Origami turned into a source of inspiration for first-year students majoring in Civil, Industrial and Agricultural Construction to build a demountable assembly made of modular origami elements. The element is a modular triangle, made from a rectangle with a side ratio of 1:√2 known as the "Harmony Gate". The construction is original and executed on several levels, from white and colored A4 paper, whose density equals 80 g/m2. Origami robots, inspired by an ancient form of paper folding art, are capable of achieving high displacement in a lightweight and compact design that conventional robots can hardly attain. It, however, remains a challenge to drive origami robots with in situ active materials that imply minimal added mass and complexity and can be easily controlled to achieve multiple actuation modalities. Herein, inspired by the Twisted Tower origami structure, dielectrophoretic liquid zipping actuation concept is employed to develop a modular architecture, capable of achieving complicated motions with multiple degrees of freedom (DoF). The experimental results show a maximum of 3.9 degrees tilting per layer toward any desired direction, a 56.1% contraction of the original length, and 5.4 degrees twisting per layer. Each layer can generate a maximum contractile force of 1.03 N with a maximum 64.7% power efficiency and 2.775 W kg−1 power‐to‐weight ratio. A modified heterochiral arrangement of this modular actuator is proposed to enhance controllability across various movement modes. Its use in robotic‐wrist‐like actuation has been demonstrated, highlighting its significant potential for integration into soft robotic multi‐DoF structures, such as continuum arms. Biofuels are the cheapest source of energy, and the continuous decline of traditional sources of energy with the increasing population leads to looking for alternatives to reduce the consumption of traditional sources of energy. Bioethanol production from lignocellulosic wastes and cellulosic wastes is not a new approach for fuel production but a cheap and accessible way for the production of fuel. Bacillus is one of the major species that can act as a source of diversified enzymes. In this study, it was emphasized on screening and isolation of a novel, characterization, and best catalytic action on both celluloses and proteins in the presence of different carbon and nitrogen sources. It was observed the effective catalytic breakdown of cellulose with the crude enzyme to glucose allowed fur for fermentation with Saccharomyces, ultimately leading to the generation of alcohol. The study aims to isolate the microbes that can produce cellulases and enzymes and could be used for biodegradation to produce ethanol in the reaction. The maximum enzyme activity was achieved at 3.112 UI with optimized pH and temperature, and the maximum conversion of sugars into alcohol was about 70% in the newspaper, cartons, colored paper, and disposable paper cups. An essential observation was the decolorization of the origami craft paper within 24 hours. The study was involved in enhancing the maximum Enzyme activity of cellulases from different cellulosic raw materials. Hence, it was achieved by JCB strain, optimization of pH, temperature, and acids for the biodegradation. Chinese paper-cutting, as an ancient folk art, is facing difficulties in preserving and passing down its traditions due to a lack of skilled paper-cut artists. In contrast to other image generation tasks, paper-cut images not only necessitate symmetry and exaggeration but also demand a certain level of resemblance to human facial features. To address these issues, this paper proposes a dual-branch generative adversarial network model for automatically generating paper-cut images, referred to as CutGAN. Specifically, we first construct a paper-cut dataset consisting of 891 pairs of facial images and handcrafted paper-cut images to train and evaluate CutGAN. Next, during the pre-training phase, we utilize gender and eyeglasses recognition tasks to train the fixed encoder. In the fine-tuning phase, we design a flexible encoder based on the modified U-net structure without skip connections. Furthermore, we introduce an average face loss to augment the diversity and improve the quality of the generated paper-cut images. We conducted extensive qualitative and quantitative experiments, as well as ablation experiments, comparing CutGAN with state-of-the-art baseline models on the test set. The experimental results indicate that CutGAN outperforms other image translation models by generating paper-cut images that more accurately capture the essence of Chinese paper-cut art and closely resemble actual facial images. Paper umbrellas are one of the crafts included in the intangible cultural heritage of Malang, East Java. Currently, it is known that there is only one group of craftsmen who still produce this paper umbrella craft. Although not many of them, this paper umbrella craft still exists among people who like traditional handicrafts. This is evident from how often paper umbrella crafts appear at craft exhibitions in cities in Indonesia. Consequently, there is a pressing need for in-depth research on paper umbrella craftsmanship in Malang City. A valuable avenue for exploration is the examination of non-verbal communication aspects inherent in paper umbrella craftsmanship. This study aimed to determine the non-verbal communication aspects contained in paper umbrella crafts. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, focusing on analyzing non-verbal communication aspects. Data was collected using unstructured interview methods, documentation, and field surveys. The collected data was reduced for analysis using nonverbal communication theory. The study findings are presented descriptively, detailing the observed non-verbal communication aspects. The findings reveal three distinct categories of non-verbal communication aspects in paper umbrella craftsmanship: fixed features, semi-fixed features, and non-fixed features. Fixed features include shapes depicted on the umbrella. Semi fixed feature is a choice of material used to make paper umbrellas, colors, and motifs. The materials used are bamboo and paper. The colors of the umbrellas are red and green. The motif drawn on the umbrella is a floral motif. Flowers are present because they are the favorite shapes of the craftsmen who make umbrellas. Past quantitative studies have shown that most media coverage is of men. Here we ask if the scarce coverage that women get is qualitatively different from that of men. We use computer-coded sentiment scores for 14 million person names covered in 1,323 newspapers to investigate the three-way relationship between gender, fame, and sentiment. Additional large-scale data on occupational categories allow us to compare women and men within the same profession and rank. We propose that as women's fame increases their media coverage becomes negative more quickly when compared to men (a "paper cut"), because their violation of gender hierarchies and social expectations about typical feminine behavior evokes disproportionate scrutiny. We find that while overall media coverage is much more positive for women than for men, this difference disappears and even reverses at higher levels of fame. In encyclopedic sentiment data we find no biographic basis for women's disproportionate decline in media coverage sentiment at high fame, consistent with the conjectured double standard in media discourse. This paper presents folded cascode Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) designed for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) applications. The proposed LNA uses complementary current reuse technique and diode connected forward body biasing technique to lower the power consumption and boost the transconductance for gain enhancement. Moreover, post linearization is done by P-MOS (Metal Oxide Semiconductor) Inter Modulation Distortion (IMD) sinker which reduces inter modulation distortion present at the input and achieves better linearity of the LNA. Under cadence virtuoso environment, using 180 nm Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology, the designed LNA exhibit high gain (S21) of 25.4 dB followed by noise figure of 1.75 dB at a reduced supply voltage of 0.6 V. The other important parameters including reflection coefficient (S11) − 12 dB, power dissipation (Pdc) 3.23 mW and Third order Input Intercept Point (IIP3) − 4.43 dBm are also achieved. Purpose: The paper aims to craft a non-parametric composite value for the board quality of Indian banks where the weights can be assigned endogenously. Design/methodology/approach: The study employed a non-parametric data envelopment analysis (DEA)-based novel extension known as the benefit of doubt approach. To measure the strength of the Indian bank corporate board in terms of board efficiency (BEF), the study used a mixed approach, i.e. first, the study calculates the percentile ranks of the five attributes that the study assumes are the characteristics of the strong board including board size, number of outside directors, frequency of meetings, non-duality leadership and board gender diversity. Thereafter, the study performs the benefit-to-doubt approach to finally measure the efficiency of the board. Findings: The findings of the study establish that the methodological framework present in the study to measure the strength of the board in terms of BEF has been a much superior method over the other weighted and non-weighted linear average methods. Practical implications: This methodology aids the shareholders, investors and regulatory bodies in rating the Indian banks based on their strength in terms of better monitoring boards and ensuring a smooth agent–owner relationship. Originality/value: The benefit of doubt approach has been a unique and novel methodology to craft the composite value for any multidimensional phenomenon. One of the major benefits of using this approach is that it assigns the weights endogenously to each dimension and thereafter collectively determines the efficiency of such a phenomenon. Fast, flexible, and cost efficient production of 3D models from 2D material sheets is a key component in digital fabrication and prototyping. In order to achieve high quality approximations of freeform shapes, a common set of methods aim to produce bendable 2D cutouts that are then assembled. So far bent surfaces are achieved automatically by computing developable patches of the input surface, e.g. in the context of papercraft. For stiff materials such as medium‐density fibreboard (MDF) or plywood, the 2D cutouts require the application of additional cutting patterns ("kerfing") to make them bendable. Such kerf patterns are commonly constructed with considerable user input, e.g. in architectural design. We propose a fully automatic method that produces kerfed cutouts suitable for the assembly of freeform shapes from stiff material sheets. By exploring the degrees of freedom emerging from the choice of bending directions, the creation of box joints at the patch boundaries as well as the application of kerf cuts with adaptive density, our method is able to achieve a high quality approximation of the input. There are a few results about the global nonlinear stability of nontrivial large solution to quasilinear wave equations. Time-like extremal surface in Minkowski space is an important model of quasilinear wave equation. There are two folds in this paper. Firstly, we get the existence of traveling wave solution to the time-like extremal hypersurface in |$\mathbb {R}^{1+(n+1)}$|⁠ , which can be considered as the generalized Bernstein theorem. For |$n=2$|⁠ , we are also concerned with global stability of traveling wave solutions with speed of light to time-like extremal hypersurface equation in |$1+(2+1)$| dimensional Minkowski space, which is corresponding with quasilinear wave equation in two space dimensions. Kirigami is the art of cutting paper to create three-dimensional figures for primarily aesthetic purposes. However, it can also modify the mechanical behavior of the resulting structure. In the literature, kirigami has been applied to modify the material's structural behavior, such as by changing its elasticity, rigidity, volume, or any other characteristic. This article examines the behavior of a pattern of rectangular kirigami cuts on a thermoplastic polyurethane soft material structure and its influence on the mechanical parameters of the macrostructure. The results demonstrate that rectangular kirigami patterns significantly affect the stiffness of the test specimens, changing from 1635 N/m to 4020 N/m. In elongation, there is a variation from 176.6% to 218% by simply altering the height of the rectangular cut. This enables the adjustment of the soft material structure's stiffness based on the geometry of the propagating kirigami cuts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Introduction: Paper folding and punched hole tests are used to measure spatial abilities in humans. These abilities are relevant since they are associated with success in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). This study addresses the challenge of teaching spatial reasoning skills using an educational videogame, the Paper Folding Reasoning Game. Methods: The Paper Folding Reasoning Game is an interactive game which presents activities intended to help users train and understand how to fold a paper to get a specific shape (Part I) and the consequence of punching a hole on a folded paper (Part II). This educational videogame can automatically generate paper-folding-and-punched-hole questions with varying degrees of difficulty depending on the number of folds and holes made, thus producing additional levels for training due to its embedded reasoning mechanisms (Part III). Results: This manuscript presents the results of analyzing the gameplay data gathered by the Paper Folding Reasoning Game in its three parts. For Parts I and II, the data provided by 225 anonymous unique players are analyzed. For Part III (Mastermode), the data obtained from 894 gameplays by 311 anonymous unique players are analyzed. In our analysis, we found out a significant difference in performance regarding the players who trained (i.e., played Parts I and II) before playing the Mastermode (Part III) vs. the group of players who did not train. We also found a significant difference in players' performance who used the visual help (i.e., re-watch the animated sequence of paper folds) vs. the group of players who did not use it, confirming the effectiveness of the Paper Folding Reasoning Game to train paper-folding-and-punched-hole reasoning skills. Partial differential equation (PDE)‐based spatio‐temporal models are available in the literature for modeling spatio‐temporal processes governed by advection‐diffusion equations. The main idea is to approximate the process by a truncated Fourier series and model the temporal evolution of the spectral coefficients by a stochastic process whose parametric structure is determined by the governing PDE. However, because many spatio‐temporal processes are nonperiodic with boundary discontinuities, the truncation of Fourier series leads to the well‐known Gibbs phenomenon (GP) in the output generated by the existing PDE‐based approaches. This article shows that the existing PDE‐based approach can be extended to suppress GP. The proposed approach starts with a data flipping procedure for the process respectively along the horizontal and vertical directions, as if we were unfolding a piece of paper folded twice along the two directions. For the flipped process, this article extends the existing PDE‐based spatio‐temporal model by obtaining the new temporal dynamics of the spectral coefficients. Because the flipped process is spatially periodic and has a complete waveform without boundary discontinuities, GP is removed even if the Fourier series is truncated. This editorial considers three groups of individuals and how they often find themselves following common ways of thinking. Artists, especially those who become well known, are hard workers and somewhat stubborn. Once they have found a type of paper that works well for them, they tend to develop loyalty to it, regardless of what the label on the ream wrap may say. Papermakers, ancient and modern, likewise have tended to stick with practices that are convenient to them at the moment, whether or not they contribute to archival quality. Fortunately, the transition to alkaline papermaking practices means that modern printing papers tend to last a lot longer. Increasing knowledge of the importance of acid-free paper, as well as the principles of sustainability, are making positive contributions to our ongoing cultural heritage, at least to the part of that heritage that is related to cellulosic materials. Integrating a 3D geological model into the virtual Earth environment enables the display of the geological model on a larger scale, making the surrounding terrain and landform more intuitive, and improving the accuracy of geological research. Because the section analysis of 3D geological model can clearly show the geological structure and attribute information on a section, it is a popular analysis method for geologists. However, the existing methods based on Boolean operations have high requirements on the topological relationship of the model, and their efficiency and accuracy are not ideal when faced with complex 3D geological models. Meanwhile, traditional rendering-based methods can only obtain pixel-level sectional results, making measurement difficult. This paper proposes a cutting analysis algorithm for 3D geological model in virtual earth environment. This method utilizes hierarchical bounding volume (BVH) and ray intersection algorithm to extract formation boundary data, avoiding complex Boolean operations and improving the efficiency of section analysis. Furthermore, using these data to draw measurable geological section maps effectively solves the problem that the section results cannot be measured. This method can be used to quickly and effectively obtain a section diagram the conforms to the standard diagram legend, which can be directly used in the preparation of geological analysis reports. Religion-based AI chatbots serve religious practitioners by bringing them godly wisdom through technology. These bots reply to spiritual and worldly questions by drawing insights or citing verses from the Quran, the Bible, the Bhagavad Gita, the Torah, or other holy books. They answer religious and theological queries by claiming to offer historical contexts and providing guidance and counseling to their users. A criticism of these bots is that they may give inaccurate answers and proliferate bias by propagating homogenized versions of the religions they represent. These "embodied spiritual machines" may likewise bear bias against women, their gender, and their societal roles. This paper crafts a concept intended to address this GPT issue by reimagining, modifying, and implementing a feminist approach to these chatbots. It examines the concepts and designs of these bots and how they address women-related questions. Along with the challenge of bringing gender and diversity-sensitive religious wisdom closer to the people through technology, the paper proposes a re-engineered model of a fair religion-based AI chatbot. Phenols are well-known noxious compounds, which are often found in various water sources. In this research, a new method was used to determine the total phenol and measure the biological activity, by using the microfluidic paper-based (µPAD), smartphone Sensor. It is portable, low-cost, and environmentally friendly. The paper was prepared using filter paper by cutting method. The reagent was dried on the paper. The color sensor of the smartphone device was used as the color intensity sensor of the samples through the images captured by the smartphone through software downloaded to the phone. The focus of the samples is measured from the RGB value of the images taken from the (iPhone 14) device, where each image represents a specific focus. The calibration curve for this method was in the range of M (0.00016--0.5), the correlation coefficient (R2) was equal to (0.9753), the limit of detection was in the amount of (0.000032) M, and the relative standard deviation (RSD%) for the concentration is (0.02) M, for which the examination was repeated (10) times and its value was (0 %), and the recovery value (Recovery%) was equal to (100 %). This paper focuses on an alternative photographic aesthetic based on the human eye that could have evolved given a different set of historic technical developments in photography. In broad terms, this alternative aesthetic would depend on the recording medium being far more sophisticated than the lens: the opposite of how photography actually evolved. The paper references an art practice based on singleelement lenses, which materially reduce phenomena to what may be experienced preconsciously inside the human eye. The paper then aligns the practical artistic outcomes with aspects of phenomenology and established academic enquiry into preconsciously experienced optical data. In phenomenological terms, the aesthetic produced in these artworks privileges the biology of the human eye over the processing power of the visual cortex: a preconscious ocular aesthetic over conscious perception. The paper contends that when viewing images that approach a fundamental, yet unknown, visual experience, the viewer has partial access to visual phenomenon which is experienced prior to, and withheld from, consciousness. The results highlight how photography has always strived to produce a uniform, sharp plane of focus that, in turn, falsely maintains that human beings biologically experience the world in a similar manner. The paper also extends aspects of Walter Benjamin's notion of "optical unconscious" while incorporating aspects of Maurice Merleau-Ponty's "indeterminate vision". Air filters are placed upstream of internal combustion engines to remove dust particles in the suction air. In this article, we examine the acoustic characterization of an air-filtering unit in the absence of mean flow. For this purpose, a circular air-filtering unit with an axial inlet and side outlet widely used in the automobile industry is considered. The air-filter element is modeled as an equivalent acoustic fluid with finite flow resistivity. The flow resistivity of the region is estimated from the permeability of the filter paper and the geometrical arrangement of the paper folds (pleats) inside the air-filter element using an electrical analogy. A numerical model based on the finite element method (FEM) and an analytical model using classical one-dimensional plane wave analysis (1-D PWA) was developed. Experiments were carried out using an impedance tube to estimate transmission loss. A good correlation is observed between the FEM model and the experiments. The results obtained from the 1-D PWA are in reasonable agreement with those obtained from the other two methods. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
