Abstract

This research investigates the linkage between government expenditure, domestic investment, national income, human development index, and economic growth in Indonesia during the period 2015-2020. This study applied the quantitative method with Common Effect Model, Fixed Effect Model, and Random effect Model to estimate the empirical model. The data in this research were gathered from these main sources, including Statistics Indonesia and the Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board. The classical assumption is also provided to meet the analysis criteria. The findings of the study indicate that government spending positively impacts Indonesian economic growth. Indeed, national income has a robust effect on economic growth. This study also confirms the crucial role in determining economic growth in Indonesia. Surprisingly, the human development index failed to support a robust spur to economic growth in Indonesia. These results contribute to the literature on economic growth and have tremendous implications for Indonesian policymakers to consider these findings.

Abstract

This study is intended to identify the level of compatibility documents planning (RPJPD, RPJMD, and RKPD) between provincial and city/regency in East Java of Indonesia. In addition, this study also provides a framework in proposing documents for each city/regency in East Java. This research applied a qualitative method using content analysis. This study employed both primary and secondary data to gain a deeper understanding to the existing phenomenon. The primary data was gathered from in-depth interviews, while secondary data was achieved from several documents owned by each city/regency in East Java provincial. The findings of the study reveal that in general, the substance of the RPJMD in the twenty regencies/cities in East Java of Indonesia is in accordance with the provincial plan. However, there are several different sections of the format in the placement of chapters and sub-chapters of the naming of chapters. Abstract

This study aims to examine the causality between production input and the price of rice in East Java, Indonesia. This study applied a quantitative method to understand in a comprehensive way the correlation between variables. The data used for this study were collected from several sources, including East Java Agriculture Office, Siskaperbapo.com, and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of East Java. This research was carried out over five years, starting from 2014 to 2018. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) by employing E-Views (version 7). The findings of this study indicated that, in the long run, the population, rice production, and changes in people's income have a positive effect on price stability, but are inversely proportional if seen in the short term. In comparison, in the long run, farmer exchange rates variable has a negative impact on price stability, and inversely proportional in the short term, which has a positive effect. There are different implications when the people's income increases and the rice price declines; these have great potential to alleviate poverty in East Java, Indonesia. This is due to the fact that the price stability also concerns the welfare of the community.

Abstract

This study aims at examining the impact of infrastructure advancement of Southern Cross Lane (JLS) in Malang, Indonesia toward households’ economic activities. Furthermore, this study intended to understand the presence of new road infrastructure and tourism sectors toward households’ economic activities. This research applied a descriptive study by conducting fo cus group discussions with stakeholders and the local community in Malang, Indonesia. In addition, semi structured questionnaires were implemented to obtain a better understanding of the existing phenomenon. The findings of the study showed that in the sho rt term, the presence of a new road in Southern Cross Lane changes the economic activities of the household while in the long term, it provides various opportunities to be developed such as tourism sectors, hotels, and restaurants. However, the development efforts from each region depend on the plan of the local community. Furthermore, the existence of a new road in Southern Cross Lane contributes to greater access between cities in the south of East Java in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstract

Dealing with the environmental issue, rural-based tourism is the alternative in enhancing the welfare of the community. This study aims to examine the relationship between rural-based tourism and local economic development, and provides an insight into the development strategies rural - based tourism. This present paper applied a quantitative approach by utilizing a rapid assessment of local economic development (RALED). Participants of this study were recruited from stakeholders, administrator and the local community in three rural -based tourism in Batu of East Java, Indonesia. The findings indicate that the six dimensions have met the good and excellent category. However, the attention needs to be given to the three least dimensions, including target group, management process and policy focus and synergy. Abstract

This research explores teachers' understanding toward classroom action research. The study applied descriptive research method employing information from primary data related to teachers' knowledge and perception on classroom action research in East Java Indonesia. The findings showed that about 84% teachers have tried to conduct classroom action research in their classroom, mainly because it is mandatory for them in order to improve their careers. Other than that, the curriculum changes in Indonesia forced them to conduct this kind of research to adjust to those changes. At a glance, they did not do this type of research voluntarily, but it turned out to be beneficial for their classes. The benefits are to solve classroom problems such as lack of critical thinking skill, low motivation, and lack of activities. It also improves students' achievements in learning economics. Moreover, teachers feel more confident because they know how to use classroom action research to find out if students are learning from their lessons. Abstract

Kata Kunci: model pembelajaran student teams achivement divisions (STAD) dan model two stay two stray (TSTS), aktivitas belajar dan hasil belajar siswa Model pembelajaran merupakan bagian penting yang digunakan dalam upaya pencapaian hasil belajar yang maksimal. Dengan adanya model pembelajaran yang tepat, proses pembelajaran dapat memperoleh hasil yang memuaskan dan mencapai tujuan pembelajaran serta hasil belajar yang optimal. Untuk mencapai keberhasilan pembelajaran yang diharapkan, upaya yang dilakukan seorang guru adalah dengan cara memperhatikan pola belajar siswa, menguasai materi pelajaran, memilih metode dan model pembelajaran yang tepat dan tidak membosankan serta melakukan proses pembelajaran yang efektif salah satunya berusaha untuk memanfaatkan pembelajaran kontekstual melalui pendekatan pembelajaran kooperatif.
