This experience report presents the extension project Minicourse Shared Hosting in Community-Based Tourism (CBT), by the Federal Institute of Santa Catarina, whose objective was the professional training of CBT groups to offer accommodation in their residences. The self-instructional course, which lasted one month and had a workload of 20 hours, was created by an extensionist student of the Specialization in Technologies for Professional Education, under the guidance of the teacher, and addressed introductory subjects about tourism, hosting, sustainability and operational practices to be used in the day-to-day activities at CBT. A learning platform was organized with videos, infographics, podcast and others. The elaboration of these materials took place during the Specialization, mainly in its practical classes, using educational authoring tools. We had 47 registrations, and 16 participants were certified at the end. This report presents the context of the extension project, the process of creating and offering the Minicourse, the activities developed and the evaluation of the participants. The extensionist student experienced the creation of didactic resources for the digital environment and online teaching, in contact with the external community. The action provided knowledge dissemination about CBT and encouraged improvement in the area. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Identify the effectiveness and gaps of mobile simulation as an educational strategy for improving health professionals. Scoping review carried out in eight databases and gray literature. The articles were selected without time frame and languages. They were extracted and summarized by two independent researchers at Mendley. PRISMA-ScR was used, guided by the question: How can mobile simulation effectively contribute to the improvement of health professionals? What are the gaps in the literature? Seven articles were selected, with a prevalence of studies in Canada and carried out in 2021, with level evidence IV. Mobile simulation contributed significantly improvement, developing effective clinical competences with less costs and better time management. However, requires trained and available instructors, in addition to investment to adapt the mobile simulation unit. Mobile simulation has better cost-benefit and less financial impact when compared to in-person simulation, highlighting the importance of the strategy. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The domestic practice of assigning professional qualifications, in particular, by higher education institutions (HEIs), varies and indicates inadequate institutional normalisation of this issue. The objective of our research is to characterise the regulatory and actual procedures for assigning professional qualifications in higher education institutions, to outline possible models for taking professional standards into account when developing educational programmes, and to provide recommendations on procedures for assigning professional qualifications. The research was conducted within the framework of the social constructivist approach and is based on the results of document analysis. The analysis of changes in educational and labour legislation, implemented in 2022, gave grounds to determine the following aspects: the assignment of professional qualifications is possible if there is an occupational standard; the name of the professional qualification is defined in the occupational standard; all learning outcomes/competences stipulated by the occupational standard should be included in the educational programme, in case of partial qualification, the educational programme should specify the specific job function or job functions defined by the occupational standard. The current practice of assigning professional qualifications does not meet these expectations and is characterised by non-systematic and inconsistency, the co-existence of different requirements for the assignment of such qualifications by qualification centres, professional associations, and HEIs. The paper presents two models of implementation of the occupational standards requirements in educational programmes: the first for broad educational specialties, the second for relatively narrow ones (with a few occupational standards per specialty). The paper concludes with recommendations on the normalisation of the process of assigning professional qualifications of HEIs at the micro-level (educational programmes), at the level of HEIs, at the meso-level, as well as at the macrolevel.

TECHNICAL education , *HIGH schools , *INTEGRALS , *PROFESSIONAL employees - Abstract
This article aims to bring reflections on the educational reform of 2017 called New High School (NEM) and its impact on the performance of the National High School Test (ENEM) 2023, highlighting the theme of the writing test that puts on the agenda the invisibility of women's work. This discussion takes place in dialogue with the thought of Sílvia Federici and María Lugones. From this, the work brings an analysis of the NEM with regard to the training of Brazilian youth and continues presenting the Technical Education of Integrated High School (EMI) as a possibility for the reconstruction of this level of education, respecting parameters such as comprehensive training of young people, integrated schooling - vocational training and general training - and full-time school, triad that supports a high school committed to social justice and democracy. Finally, it outlines how the EMI is thought at the Instituto Federal de São Paulo (IFSP) - Campus Registro with emphasis on the resistance of teachers to not accept the reformulation of technical courses in the integrated form based on NEM. For these purposes, we sought the support of theoreticalphilosophical discussions proposed by authors such as Marcos Antônio Lorieri, Gaudêncio Frigotto, Marise Ramos, and the analysis of news and documents of the IFSP. Contemporary Landscape Architecture has not become an applied discipline with mature market and well-defined social responsibility since its establishment in China. To address the issues that have long hindered the development, education, and public perception of Landscape Architecture, this article points out the required professional core means of landscape architects, and proposes five suggestions for their professional qualifications, including having knowledge about relevant laws, being familiar with relevant standards and norms, having empathy for users and professional common sense, having professional competency, and complying with professional ethics and accepting industry self-regulation. For the future of this profession, the promulgation of The Barrier-Free Environment Creation Law of the People's Republic of China offers an opportunity for landscape architects to establish their irreplaceable role for the society. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of professional qualifications and work experience on school principals' instructional leadership performance in primary schools in the Awi zone of Ethiopia. This research used a quantitative research method where the researchers collected data from school principals through a questionnaire. Thus, we found that there was a significant difference in the mean scores between groups, where the mean score for educational leadership or management professionals were higher than those of professionals in other fields. This indicates that those principals qualified in Educational Leadership or Educational Management have significantly better instructional leadership performance than principals qualified in other fields of studies. In addition, the principals' level of experience significantly influenced their instructional leadership performance. Those principals who had more experience performed better than less experienced ones. Therefore, professional qualifications and experience are the major determinant factors of principal's instructional leadership performance. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article brings reflections on management in the professional training of social workers, based on the 1996 ABEPSS Curriculum Guidelines. The considerations presented are the result of bibliographical, documental, and field research. The motivation for the study was based on the assumption that many professionals are resistant to recognizing management within the scope of professional work, and this is due to the understanding of management learned in the professional training process. This investigation was able to address the determinants of this problem, pointing out arguments from the concrete reality of students and teachers, participants of the research. The analyses allowed us to understand that in order to guarantee the grasping of management in the work of the social worker, the contents of the discipline need to address the different perspectives of management, allowing the construction of mediations that make it possible to take ownership of management in a democratic and emancipatory perspective, consistent with the principles expressed in the Social Work Ethical-Political Project. RACE discrimination , *LITERATURE reviews , *RACE , *DIRECT action , *SOCIAL action - Abstract
The main objective of this article is to point out new directions for professional training that enables the debate on race in all spaces assumed by the category: direct action in social policies and in the organizational instances of the profession, as well as in the academic environment through research, teaching, and extension. The literature review that supported the discussions outlined here points to the urgency of incorporating the debate on race into the scope of social work in a deeper and more permanent way. This challenge is part of the greater challenge, that of defending the hegemony of the current professional ethical-political project based on critical theory, and also on the historical need to build organized social resistance that points to overcoming class society and racial discrimination. Therefore, from the understanding that the debate on race is indispensable for the apprehension of the historical totality of Brazilian reality, it follows that it is necessary to incorporate the contents and discussions that refer to the problem of racism, contributing, in this way, to the construction of a anti-racist professional formation, truly committed to social transformation. Professional Didactics is a French-origin approach aimed at understanding adult development, emphasizing professional training and work analysis. This article presents a systematic literature review whose objective was to identify and analyze studies on the regulation of learning in Professional Didactics with a view to professional competence development. Eighty-three articles were found in six different digital repositories, of which 26 were analyzed according to the research guiding questions. The results indicate a predominance of analyses of professional practice in teaching, especially in Exact Sciences. However, most of the works are bibliographic research with few experiential reports. Based on the relevance of the topic and the discussions of this research, the literature lacks approaches that appropriately investigate explicit forms of regulation and the use of instruments for work analysis aimed at developing professional competencies. Both in terms of the law to be applied (the Constitution) and the acts of the public authorities to which it is called to be applied (parliamentary laws), the constitutional jurisdiction shows a unique profile that clearly differentiates it from the so-called ordinary jurisdiction. This raises the question of the singular characteristics that the persons entrusted with the exercise of this constitutional function should ideally possess. Against the backdrop of the ideal image of the judge of the common law culture, and having in view the so-called European model of constitutional adjudication, this paper attempts a first answer to the question. Acquiring appropriate professional qualifications enables one to provide certain medical treatments or other medical services. As the acquisition of material gain is often the motive for committing numerous criminal offenses as prescribed by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Serbia, it is often so with the criminal offense of quackery found in Article 254 of the Criminal Code. The reason for prescribing this act and sanctioning the perpetrator is that undertaking actions that require special education in the field of medicine without having it can cause damage to the health of another person, to a higher or lower degree. However, the sanctions occur regardless of whether in the specific case there was a consequence in the form of damage to or deterioration of the health of another person, as well as in the case when the perpetrator did not obtain material gain by taking specific actions without proper professional qualifications. Despite the fact that are witness to numerous testimonies of victims through the media, who out of ignorance decided to entrust their health to persons without proper qualifications, practice shows that a small number of criminal complaints is received by competent prosecutor's offices in Serbia and that a small number of court proceedings are conducted to prove guilt and the existence of a criminal offense.

The University Extension (EU), like Teaching and Research, is an important element in the academic and professional training of students. The EU helps to build and consolidate knowledge and help to acquire a social behavior that articulates and integrates society and the university. The objective of this study was to identify the contribution of the EU in training graduates of Physical Education courses at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), Minas Gerais state, Brazil. As a result, 90.2% reported that participation in the EU program contributed to their undergraduate learning; 95.1% said that they use the knowledge acquired in extension in their current job; 97.6% stated that the EU contributed to the composition of the curriculum and hiring, and 83.0% are still interested in the area of Physical Education. It was concluded that the extension contributed to graduation, helping in the better performance and understanding of the curricular matrix subjects and the direct action in the job market of the graduates. It was possible to perceive the strong relationship between teaching and extension associated with the theory and practice experienced by the students. Therefore, we reinforce the need for more significant investment by universities and greater incentives for student participation in these projects. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
Purpose – This study investigated the relationship between perceived overqualification and job attitudes (affective and continuance organizational commitment and turnover intention) in the public sector. Theoretical framework – The theoretical framework was based on theories about perceived overqualification, human capital, equity, relative deprivation, organizational commitment, and turnover intention, as well as Brazilian civil service legislation. Design/methodology/approach – Brazilian public servants (n = 243) answered scales of perceived overqualification, affective and continuance commitment, and turnover intention, and these data were analyzed by means of structural equation modeling. Findings – The results showed that affective commitment was negatively related to turnover intention and mediated the relationship between perceived overqualification and turnover intention. Practical & social implications of research – The findings suggest that overqualification is an inevitable phenomenon that needs to be managed, as rejecting overqualified workers (as is done in the private sector) may be a discriminatory practice and crime. Originality/value – Overqualification has been present in the Brazilian civil service for a long time, but it has not been fully investigated. The present study is one of the few empirical studies on the overqualification phenomenon in the Brazilian civil service.

- Abstract
This study aimed to assess the level of importance and proficiency in individual competencies required for project managementin a Brazilian public health institution. The research employed an exploratory approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative methods. Competencies identified from the theoretical framework were analyzed using content analysis and described in the form of observable behaviors, resulting in a total of 48 competencies. Subsequently, a questionnaire was administered to 18 strategic project managers within the institution, and based on their self-assessment, the priorities for competency development were established using the Training Needs Index [TNI]. The participants regarded all presented competencies as highly important for their professional performance. Furthermore, the results indicated that the managers possessed a high level of professional qualification for project management. However, the focus of development efforts shouldbe directed towards specific competencies gaps identified in some managers, particularly related to cost management, scope, procurement and contracting, and communication. The research contributes to the enhancement of project management competencies among the institution's project managers and advances the discussion on competencies required for public health project management, O estudo teve como objetivo avaliar o grau de importância e domínio das competências individuais requeridas para a gestão de projetos em uma instituição de saúde pública brasileira.

Objective: To present, the process of development and evaluation of an educational software on the Child Health Handbook proposed for the continuing education of primary care nurses and physicians. Methods: Quantitative study of methodological development. For software development, the following steps were followed: definition of objectives; determination of the target audience; choice of pedagogical and theoretical reference for content; content selection and structuring; software development and evaluation by experts (five nurses and four physicians). All responded to an instrument that included four domains: pedagogical; content; functionality; system presentation and usability. The evaluation criteria were arranged on a Likert-type scale. The percentage of agreement and Content Validity Index were used for the quantitative analysis of the degree of agreement, considering a Content Validity Index cutoff point equal to 0.80. Results: The overall agreement index, calculated by the arithmetic mean of the Contents Validity Index of the evaluated domains, was 0.96, with scores ranging from 0.90 to 1.00. The average percentage of agreement of the experts per domain was 92.86%, with lower agreement in the content (80.95%), presentation, and usability (90.48%) domains. 100% of percentage of agreement was observed in the pedagogical and functionality domains among the evaluated specialists. Conclusion: The percentage of agreement, Content Validity Index and overall agreement index of the Child Health Handbook educational software in the context of primary care disclosed the software adequacy as an educational resource for continuing education of primary care nurses and physicians. Considering the assessed dimensions, it can also be used by other health professionals and undergraduate students.

FOREIGN language education ,MILITARY education ,BLENDED learning - Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a blended learning method on the development of foreign language communicative competence of the officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the educational and information environment of a Higher Military Educational Institution. The foreign language training was carried out at 11 military educational institutions. Nineteen foreign language teachers were enrolled who conducted face-to-face training in an online virtual class and used the Moodle platform of the National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi for distance learning. Such a combination of the components (face-to-face and distance learning) provided the opportunity for them to implement effectively the case study and project-based learning activities in an online virtual class and to use simultaneously the information and communication tools of an educational and information environment. In the study, a 'pre-test-post-test' experimental research design was used. The data collection tool was a proficiency language test according to NATO STANAG 6001 requirements. A difference between the two stages in favour of the results gained after conducting the investigation was revealed. Therefore, it is stated that integrating information and communication technology tools in foreign language training will have positive effects on both the teachers and officers to help them be aware of the modern tools of the information and educational environment. The paper is devoted to the gender politics of the auditing companies in Russia. The main hypothesis of the research suggests that, with the predominance of female labor, the gender structure of the governing bodies reveals the presence of a “glass ceiling” indicating the possibility of gender imbalance not in favor of women. At the same time, high rates of female presence in governing bodies reduce attention to gender imbalance. The research methodology provides for a sample survey and structural statistical analysis of the gender composition of auditors, assessment of the gender profile of the profession. The correlation and regression analysis of factors proves that the gender composition in the auditing environment is determined primarily by the influence of external factors. An assessment of salaries is carried out according to the positions in the regional context and then compared with its average value in the industry. The hypothesis of the existence of gender imbalance in Russian auditing is approved. The analysis of open sources showed the results that companies do not require modern methods and practices that serve to reduce gender imbalances. To solve the “glass ceiling” problem, it is necessary to expand the list of disclosed gender information in company reporting and initiate a broad scientific discussion.

The transformation of the labour market has led to paradigm shifts in education, contributing to the development of lifelong learning and non-formal education. Currently in Ukraine, there is no legal construct regulating the process of recognising the results of such education. The study aims to examine the European experience in validating the non-formal and informal education, which can be useful in formulating appropriate policies for the award of professional qualifications in Ukraine. The study is mainly based on a retrospective analysis of the European policy. Встановлено, що у визначенні процедур на загальноєвропейському рівні послуговуються такими документами, як: It is revealed that at the All-European level, these document are used to define the designated procedures: "European guidelines for the recognition of non-formal and informal education" (2009), Council of Europe Recommendations on the recognition of non-formal and informal education (2012), European Centre for the Development of Vocational Education (CEDEFOP) on the Recognition of Non-Formal and Informal Learning (2017), EU Council Recommendation on the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning (2017). These documents focus on the institutional field of validation of professional qualifications acquired through non-formal learning, involvement of representatives of various public sectors and implementation of coordination mechanisms. At the same time, diversified practice of confirmation and assignment of professional qualifications on the basis of non-formal learning has been developed in European countries. Professional associations and business structures, on the basis of which qualification centres (assessment centres) operate, play an important role in the processes of qualifications validation. The recognition of non-formal learning outcomes and validation of professional qualifications follow the same standards as the ones assigned for both formal education and the national qualifications framework.

The article discusses the dynamics of the development of federal state educational standards (FSES) for the preparation of bachelors, masters and specialists in the field of photonics, instrumentation, optical and biotechnological systems and technologies over the past twenty-five years. The authors analyze the features, advantages and disadvantages of tiered and continuous higher education. Particular attention is paid to the development and improvement of state educational standards of higher education in the specialty “Electronic and Optical-electronic Devices and Special-purpose Systems.” The article substantiates the expansion of the scope of professional use of a specialist in the field of electronic and optoelectronic devices and systems and the need to introduce a new – information-analytical type of activity. based on the developed competency models of the results of mastering the educational programs of graduate, undergraduate and specialty studies, a comparative analysis of their orientation in various fields of activity is carried out. One of the main trends in the development of state regulation of training students in an enlarged group of specialties and areas of training “Photonics, Instrumentation, Optical and Biotechnical Systems and Technologies” is providing universities with greater freedom in the development of educational programs and the selection of applied educational technologies. It is shown that the main strategic task of the developer of the main professional educational program is to form a set of competencies that will allow the graduate to work in one of the areas of professional activity. At the same time, this set of competencies should be correlated with some labor functions formally described by professional standards and qualification requirements. It is concluded that the main result of the evolutionary development of educational programs of tiered and continuous higher education was the transition from their academic orientation to a practice-oriented character providing focus on certain professional qualifications and requirements of the employer.
