Multicomponent density functional theory (DFT) enables the consistent quantum mechanical treatment of both electrons and protons. A major challenge has been the design of electron-proton correlation functionals that produce even qualitatively accurate proton densities. Herein an electron-proton correlation functional, epc17, is derived analogously to the Colle-Salvetti formalism for electron correlation and is implemented within the nuclear-electronic orbital (NEO) framework. The NEO-DFT/epc17 method produces accurate proton densities efficiently and is promising for diverse applications.

Radiolocation methods of probing minor celestial bodies (asteroids) by the nanosecond pulses can be used for monitoring of near-Earth space with the purpose of identification of hazardous cosmic objects able to impact the Earth. Development of the methods that allow to improve accuracy of determining the asteroids size (i.e. whether it measures tens or hundreds meters in diameter) is important for correctly estimating the degree of damage which they can cause (either regional or global catastrophes, respectively). In this paper we suggest a novel method of estimating the sizes of the passive cosmic objects using the radiolocation probing by ultra-high-resolution nanosecond signals to obtain radar signatures. The modulation envelope of the reflected signal, which is a radar portrait of the cosmic object, is subjected to time scale transformation to carrier Doppler frequency by means of radioimpulse strobing. The shift of a strobe within the probing period will be performed by radial motion of the object which will allow to forgo the special autoshift circuit used in the oscillographic technical equipment. The measured values of duration of radiolocation portrait can be used to estimate the mean radius of the object by using the average spatial length of the portrait. The method makes it possible to appraise the sizes of cosmic objects through their radiolocation portrait duration, with accuracy that is independent of the objects range.

It was found that the spontaneous electric field can occur in doped graphene in an external dc electric field. The direction of the spontaneous field is perpendicular to the applied field. This effect can be connected with the nonequilibrium electron subsystem of graphene. It was also shown up the influence of problem parameters on the characteristics of the spontaneous field.

It is shown that in reaction \gamma\gamma\to\ell^+\ell^-+\nu's at \sqrt{s}>200 GeV with polarized photons, large and well observable differences arise in the distribution of positive and negative charged leptons (\ell=\mu^\pm, e^\pm), (charge asymmetry). The modification due to the contribution of the cascade processes with intermediate \tau-lepton in \gamma \gamma \to W^\pm\ell^\mp + \nu's reaction is taken into account. This charge asymmetry is potentially sensitive to effects of physics beyond the standard model at the anticipated luminosity of the Photon Collider mode of the future international linear collider., Comment: Revtex4 two column format, 14 figures, added some comments to match the published version

We study possibilities to measure the triple anomalous W-boson couplings to photon in the $e\gamma\to W\nu$ process via its lepton decay channel (with the simplest signature). We found that in the study of the $W$ quadruple momentum $\lambda$ one can limit himself within a small region in phase space. A way to find this region is proposed. The obtained estimates for $\lambda$ at TESLA project are roughly twice better than anticipated for $e+e-$ mode. For $W$ anomalous magnetic momentum the discussed mode gives no improvements as compared $e+e-$ mode., Comment: 7 pages, 3 eps figures, LaTeX
