16. A sampling greedy average regularized Kaczmarz method for tensor recovery.

Abstract

Recently, a regularized Kaczmarz method has been proposed to solve tensor recovery problems. In this article, we propose a sampling greedy average regularized Kaczmarz method. This method can be viewed as a block or mini‐batch version of the regularized Kaczmarz method, which is based on averaging several regularized Kaczmarz steps with a constant or adaptive extrapolated step size. Also, it is equipped with a sampling greedy strategy to select the working tensor slices from the sensing tensor. We prove that our new method converges linearly in expectation and show that the sampling greedy strategy can exhibit an accelerated convergence rate compared to the random sampling strategy. Numerical experiments are carried out to show the feasibility and efficiency of our new method on various signal/image recovery problems, including sparse signal recovery, image inpainting, and image deconvolution. 21. PPenergyNET: Privacy-Preserving Multi-Energy Load Forecasting in Energy Internet Considering Energy Coupling

Abstract

Accurate multi-energy load forecasting (MELF) is critical to the management and operation of energy internet (EI). Current MELF methods gather the data from various energy loads for model training in a centralized manner. However, different energy utilities in EI intend to keep the raw data locally due to privacy reasons, which leads to the data silos of EI. To this end, we propose a PPenergyNET to perform privacy-preserving MELF in a distributed manner and break data silos in EI. Specifically, a ring-structure vertical federated learning is devised to protect vertical partition data privacy, and fix the mismatch that leads to incalculable training loss in the cloud to reconstruct the loss back-propagation for model updating. Then, a split feature extraction method is designed to prevent the characteristics of specific load from being submerged by the data of multi-energy loads to improve forecast resolution. Thirdly, a modified homoscedastic uncertainty based multi-task learning method is proposed to consider the multi-energy coupling with a convergence proof. Numerical results show that PPenergyNET achieves superior trade-offs between privacy protection and forecasting accuracy. More importantly, PPenergyNET contributes a new idea to improve interoperability among different energy systems.

Abstract

Summary: The four‐level hybrid clamp converter (4L‐HCC) is one of the next‐generation multilevel topologies due to its simplified structure and excellent performance. However, it consists of several DC‐link and flying capacitors, which must be precharged to the rated voltage before the normal operation. Without proper control, those internal capacitors could easily induce inrush currents and cause system fatal failure due to the unsymmetrical circuit structure. This paper proposes soft start‐up control methods for both single‐phase and three‐phase HCCs. The precharging mathematical models of DC‐link and flying capacitors are established. A straightforward algorithm using the selected switching states and rotating regions is developed to build precharging circuits properly. A full‐scale simulation model and a downscale laboratory prototype of the 4L‐HCC are established to validate the superiority of the proposed method. Results demonstrate that the proposed approach is effective in charging all capacitors through internal elements rapidly with suppressed and controllable charging currents. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
