Abstract Companies in difficult financial situations may seek to survive through mergers and acquisitions. Managers must be able to use company resources efficiently to maintain and improve competitiveness and sustainable advantages. Managers' ability to make strategic decisions may determine whether a merger and acquisition is successful. This study aims to reveal the role of the acquirer's managerial ability in mergers and acquisitions based on short- and long-term performance as well as the type of M&A. Two metrics are used to assess short- and long-term performance: the market-to-book ratio (MTBR) as an indicator of operating performance and the buy-and-hold abnormal return (BHAR) as an indicator of stock return performance. The research sample consists of 153 M&A cases conducted by companies registered with the Business Competition Supervisory Commission in Indonesia between 2010 and 2017, and the performance till 2020. We used regression and difference analysis to analyze the data. We find that managerial ability has a positive impact on MTBR operating and BHAR stock performance. This result confirms that the higher ability of the acquirer's manager will ensure a successful M&A in the long run. Investors and potential investors might consider managerial ability in choosing investments in companies after an M&A. This study contributes to the M&A literature by examining the role of MA in the short- and long-term performance of acquiring firms following M&As in Indonesia.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Perceived Organizational Support on Organizational Citizenship Behavior with the work engagement variable as a mediator at the Palembang City Tourism Office. Samples were taken as many as 63 employees. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires using a 5-point Likert scale to measure 22 statement items. The analysis technique used is Path Analysis. The results of the analysis show that Perceived Organizational Support has a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior, Perceived Organizational Support. This study also succeeded in proving that Perceived Organizational Support has an effect on Organizational Citizenship Behavior mediated by Work Engagement at the Palembang City Tourism Office. Based on the results of research analysis, several suggestions can be used as consideration in determining future policies, namely, the Office should pay more attention to any complaints felt by employees so that it will create a sense of meaning and feelings of pleasure and employees feel considered necessary by the service.

This study aims to analyze the management framework of multicultural-based Islamic religious education in elementary schools. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological approach. The locus of this research is SDN 1 Kota Bangun. To obtain data, the authors conducted interviews, observations, and documentation. Data reduction procedures, data presentation, and concluding analyzed the collected data. The study results show that the management of multicultural-based Islamic Religious Education learning must be carried out by planning, implementing and evaluating learning that is carried out in totality, integrated, involving all parties and is sustainable to provide optimal results. This research has implications for the importance of religious moderation education from an early age to anticipate students' exclusive and intolerant attitudes.

The use of social media among academics as a means of communication and information. This research is qualitative research with the aim of getting an overview of the use of social media among universities. In general, the use of social media as a medium of learning has been applied in almost all universities today. The method in this study using online observation and scoping review was used to collect information, and literature was collected from several databases such as the Proquest and Science Direct website, Google Scholar, and Mendeley. Furthermore, the material is divided into several sections so that relevant literature can be collected and used in conjunction with teaching and learning activities in higher education institutions. The results of this study indicate that learning ideas can be learned and implemented through the use of social media. It has the potential to increase teaching and learning effectiveness, as well as to promote group learning and collaborative learning opportunities. Learning tools such as e-books and online films can be accessed through social media platforms. Social media can help in developing innovative ideas in academics and education. The conclusion of this study is that the use of social media is very effective as a learning medium for universities

Kearifan lokal memberikan banyak manfaat tidak hanya untuk masyarakat yang ada disekitar lingkungan kearifan lokal tersebut tetapi juga mampu untuk memberikan manfaat yang sangat baik dalam proses pembelajaran saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal ekosistem mangrove yang ada di kabupaten tanjung jabung barat dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian etnograpi. Informan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 6 orang, yaitu 3 tokoh masyarakat dan 3 guru kelas VI sekolah dasar. teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Teknik analsis data mengadopsi teknik dari miles dan hubberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kearifan lokal ekosistem mangrove kabupaten tanjung jabung barat dapat diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran kelas VI tema 1 subtema 1 pembelajaran 1 dan mampu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta didik serta menumbuhkan karakter yang baik bagi peserta didik sekolah dasar.

This study aims to analyze and understand the principal's transformational leadership in realizing digital literacy. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of phenomenology. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out through several stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results showed that; transformational leadership strategy in increasing digital literacy by holding mini workshops and digital literacy examples. The challenges and solutions in transformational leadership are that teachers are still technology literate and not wholeheartedly in studying digitalization and inadequate internet access. This research has implications for the importance of designing educational institutions oriented toward developing digital literacy in responding to the challenges and demands of the times.

This study aims to find out and obtain objective information about the effect of teacher professional competence and student learning facilities on learning achievement in class X SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Keramat, Sambas Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method with the Expost Facto approach. with the form of research used in this study is a comparative causal study. The data analysis technique from the results of this study is descriptive statistics used to describe the data for each variable and regression analysis is used for hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate that (1) the professional competence of teachers is included in the good criteria and a total score of 9770 is obtained. Student learning motivation is included in the high criteria and a total score of 5535 is obtained. The conclusion of this study is that the variable of teacher professional competence has a positive and significant influence on the results. student learning that is equal to 31.13%, and the variable of student learning motivation has a positive and significant influence on learning outcomes that is equal to 4.41%, while the variables of teacher professional competence and student learning motivation together have a positive and significant influence on learning outcomes. students, namely 56.9%.

This study aims to identify and analyze the application of strategic management in revealing the challenges of professionalism in the Digitalization Era. This study used a qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data were tested for validity and analyzed by data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. This study showed that the strategic management of Islamic education in revealing the challenges of professionalism in the Digitalization Era at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Sambas changed in terms of the culture of the teaching and learning process and teacher performance based on intense digitalization. In terms of management, the principal at MIN 1 Sambas has implemented a Madrasa-Based Management Strategy in the Digital Era and carried out Online Training Program for the teachers.

This study describes the use of mobile learning technology for students at the elementary school level. There are many educational applications, so researchers want to know whether these applications are needed for education. In this study, in order to understand how students, understand the use of educational applications that can be used on mobile devices, a qualitative method is used. Researchers in this case also use data collection techniques by conducting semi-structured interviews with students and elementary school students who use cellular technology in learning activities. The children said that using instructional apps had helped them improve their skills. When they work in groups, they develop relational and communication skills. On the other hand, there are some students who do not see the value or convenience of using educational apps on their mobile devices. The result of this research is the application of arithmetic and storytelling helps children improve their cognitive abilities. At the same time, when they interact with others, this activity stimulates them and offers emotional benefits. Use Study participants demonstrated a wide range of learning skills and capacities, as demonstrated by this study. Finally, this work offers new possibilities for future research in this exciting field.

This study aims to optimize the learning of Islamic Religious Education with Google Classroom. This type of research is quantitative. The population as well as the sample is 4 teachers. Data was collected by means of a questionnaire via Google Form. Assessment of the questionnaire using the Guttman scale. Next is the interpretation of the calculation results. This study shows that the teacher's perception, ease of access, and the benefits of Google Classroom are on average 4.15 or 83.18%, this indicates that it is very good. Thus, Google Classroom can optimize online learning in blended learning on Islamic Religious Education subjects. This study recommends teachers to use Google Classroom in online learning or distance learning as an alternative application.

Petani dan UMKM memiliki posisi yang lebih lemah ketika menjalin kerja sama dengan perusahaan besar. Oleh karena itu perlu dibangun prinsip saling membutuhkan antara kedua pihak dalam menjalin kerjasama. Terkadang perusahaan besar merasa lebih dibutuhkan karena merasa memiliki daya tawar yang lebih tinggi terhadap petani dan UMKM. Jika hal ini terjadi dan terdapat indikasi adanya persaingan usaha tidak sehat, maka petani dan UMKM dapat melaporkannya kepada KPPU. Sayangnya keberadaan dan peran KPPU belum banyak diketahui oleh petani dan UMKM. Untuk menyebarluaskan peran KPPU maka KPPU secara aktif melakukan advokasi kepada berbagai pihak. Pihak akademisi dari Universitas Presiden yang memiliki kerjasama dengan petani dan UMKM mengundang KPPU untuk memberikan materi advokasi bagi sivitas akademis Universitas Presiden dan para petani dan UMKM. Acara berlangsung di ruang kuliah Universitas Presiden dengan peserta yang bersemangat. Acara terdiri dari seminar, tanya jawab dan diskusi. Pada akhir acara peserta memberikan sambutan positif atas acara yang telah diadakan.

This study examines the principal's policy in managing learning during the COVID-19 pandemic in schools. This study uses a qualitative type of field research. Madrasah principals, teachers, and committees are the primary data sources. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are obtained from relevant journals, books, magazines. The location of this research is Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 1 Malang. The findings of this study state that distance learning and problems during the Covid-19 period and analysis of basic policies by madrasah principals in managing distance learning with distance learning outcomes during the COVID-19 pandemic include policy analysis regarding student needs the use of learning applications. Evaluation activities and policies in the online learning process will be used. The importance of this research will be to provide solutions in learning to regulate flexibility in choosing a curriculum that is by the learning needs of students during the pandemic, as stipulated in the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture related to the curriculum during an emergency.

The extension is an active procedure requiring contact between the extension worker and the individual to establish a behavior change process. This study examines the revival of the notion of extension, the difficulty of extension in the period of the COVID-19 epidemic, and the problems of extension in the future. The revitalization of the meaning of extension includes: (1) extension is not just conveying information messages to the target (farmers) but is an activity of delivering messages until there is a behavior change (knowledge, attitudes, and skills) of message recipients/target communities; (2) extension is not just a transfer of technology, but it is a process of activities carried out between extension workers and target communities to solve problems faced by farmers; (3) extension is not just an activity that is partial and sporadic in the short term but is carried out as a whole with very long and continuous stages; (4) extension is not based on the mere interest of the extension worker but is based on the needs of the target community. Furthermore, the challenges of extension in the age of the COVID-19 epidemic are: (1) the low level of cosmopolitan farmers makes the information collected delayed; (2) farmers with all their constraints find it challenging to adjust to changes; and (3) the radius of confidence of farmers is minimal. Thus, the challenges of extension in the future are: (1) how to generate an entrepreneurial spirit for farmers; (2) the introduction of social media and web applications is mandatory as new media that extension workers should use; and (3) future extension services should be able to synergize conflicts of interest between stakeholders.

Untuk memfasilitasi investor yang memegang nilai-nilai shariah maka dibentuklah indeks shariah di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Bursa Shariah ini memiliki syarat-syarat khusus berdasar prinsip shariah dalam menjalankan usahanya. Syarat-syarat khusus ini terdiri dari syarat kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Syarat kualitatif adalah perusahaan tidak menjual barang yang tidak halal dan dalam usahanya perusahaan tidak melakukan hal-hal yang tidak halal. Syarat kuantitatif adalah syarat operasional perusahaan yang tercermin dari bagaimana perusahaan menggunakan pendanaan dan meminjamkan dana. Di dalam bursa efek, terdapat indeks syariah yang berisi perusahaan-perusahaan yang beroperasi dengan prinsip shariah. Indeks ini tidak bersifat tetap dan selalu diperbaharui. Ketika perusahaan melakukan hal yang tidak halal atau mengalami perubahan secara operasional. Apabila perusahaan secara operasional berubah dan tidak memenuhi syarat maka perusahaan tersebut dikeluarkan dari daftar efek syariah. Konsekuensinya adalah investor yang memegang saham yang keluar dari indeks shariah maka perlu melepas saham tersebut dari portofolionya. Alokasi portofolio yang ideal adalah alokasi portofolio yang direncanakan sehingga dengan mengetahui lebih dahulu dari perubahan kehalalan suatu saham. Salah satu metode yang dapat digunakan untuk melihat arah operasional saham adalah dengan analisa tren. Penelitian ini memanfaatkan analisa tren. Dengan menggunakan data historis penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa analisa tren sebenarnya telah menunjukkan arah pergerakan operasional suatu saham dan risiko suatu saham. Saham yang berisiko cenderung memiliki potensi akan dikeluarkan pada periode berikutnya.

This study aims to analyze efforts to prevent moral decadence in students through religious development. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The objects in this research are teachers and their activities, programs, and extracurricular activities. Informants in this study were principals, vice principals, subject teachers, and activity supervisors. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed by data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. This study concludes that there are three strategies carried out by the school in an effort to prevent the occurrence of adolescent moral decadence, namely teacher exemplary, religious programs, and religious extracurriculars.

The purpose of the study was to find out the implementation of multicultural education studies in the digital era and the implications of multicultural education on the formation of social character in the digitalization era, with the rapid development of technology today, it certainly has an impact on the condition of education, including the study of multicultural education. The method used in this article is a qualitative method with a literature review. Data collection techniques are carried out with a conceptual approach. The data collection technique in this study was carried out with documentation techniques. This technique is used to track documents, data, and information in books, magazines, scientific journals, articles, and so on that are relevant to this research. The author uses content analysis (content analysis) to analyze the data. The results of the study show that the condition of the rapid progress of information and communication technology has a negative impact. Therefore multicultural education, in this case, seeks to provide understanding to the community, especially students, to know about multicultural values, namely the attitude of accepting, appreciating, and respecting all forms of difference. To avoid unwanted conditions such as radicalism, racism, discrimination, and so on.

The existence of a very fast world shift in the world of education in a globalized manner provides a new direction in developing deep thinking with the existence of very sophisticated technology. The literacy we face today is indeed very quickly accepted and requires a lot of understanding and data. The research objective was to describe and analyze the implementation of transformational leadership by school principals to create a culture of literacy for teachers and students in schools. The research method with qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Primary data sources in research; principals, teachers and students. Data collection tool with interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion or verification. Research result; transformative school principal programs include holding workshops on the use of digital literacy every 1 semester 2 times, in sub-district KKG events and utilizing social media in communicating and utilizing internet media as a learning medium.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara respon peserta didik dalam pembelajaran atas motivasi belajar siswa kelas 4 SD. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDI Perumnas 2 Kota Kupang. Memanfaatkan metode non eksperimen. Spesime meliputi 20 peserta kelas IV SDI Perumnas 2 Kota Kupang. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner/angket sebanyak 20 soal dengan empat pilihan jawaban. Hubungan antara respon siswa dalam pembelajaran terhadap motivasi belajar siswa adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan mana t hitung: 18,184 > t tabel: 2,021, sehingga Ha di terima yaitu “terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara respon siswa dalam pembelajaran terhadap motivasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDI Perumnas 2 Kota Kupang”.

Pembangunan pendidikan karakter sangat penting dilaksanakankarena siswa tidak hanya dididik dari segi kecerdasan intelektual saja namun dididik pula dari segi karakter atau perilaku positif siswa. Namun pada kenyataannya banyak perilaku negative yang dilaksanakan oleh siswa.Hal ini menjadi tugas pokok pemerintah, pengajar, orang tua dan masyarakat untuk berperan dalam memajukan pembangunan pendidikan karakter guna mewujudkanSDM yang bermutu. Adapun tujuan penelitian adalah dapat mengetahui kendala dalam membentuk perilaku positif siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah Surakarta.Metode penelitian yaitu kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk melakukan pengamatan terhadap perilaku orang.Hasil penelitian yaitu pelaksanaan pendidikan moral dapat mempengaruhi perilaku siswa. Diharapkan dapat merubah dan membentukperilaku siswa menjadi lebih baik. Diperlukan adanya kerjasama dan dukungan berbagai pihak supaya implementasi pendidikan karakter dapat berjalan dengan efektif.

The implementation of well-known trademark in indonesia is still unsatisfying especially for foreign trademarks since many foreign trademarks that claimed themselves as well-known trademarks were not admitted for the trademarks were not yet registered or based on judges assessment, not fulfilling the criteria. This research aim is to analyse the implementation of well-known trademarks doctrine in Indonesian commercial and supreme court. The method used is normative-juridical with statute and case study approach. The result shows that the commercial and supreme court have used the criteria of well-known trademarks as stipulated in Law no. 20 Year 2016 and Permenkumham no. 67 Year 2016 as well as WIPO Joint Recommendation in identifying a well-known trademark. However, the implementation is inconsistent. it is inconsistent because in one case (STARCO case), court prior to the first to file principle while in other case (Alexander Mcqueen case), court admit the trademark as a well-known trademark though it is not registered yet. The second case is coherence with the well-known trademark doctrine which the idea to protect a high reputed trademark even it is not registered. Secondly, the emptiness of the detailed criteria has made the judgement on well-known trademarks becomes widely opened for interpretation. Thus, the next convention and regulation must set aside the first to file principle and prior to the criteria only in identifying a well-known trademark. Moreover, the criteria of minimum number of registration or application should be revised by requiring the trademark to be registered or applied in at least 6 out of 10 countries with the biggest population in the world so that it is proven that the trademark is exist among the most world population. In addition, the standard level of legal enforcement must entail minimum two verdicts so that the enforcement has obtained a re-confirmation.

Covid19 contributed to various fields of life including one of the handicraft industries in Tasimalaya. The craftsmen in Tasikmalaya asked for difficulties in marketing their products because their demand dropped during the pandemic. This research seeks to develop which social entrepreneurship model is suitable for artisans during the Pandemic. The hope is that by applying this social entrepreneurship model, crafters can have financial sustainability. The study is conducted using observations and interviews as well as Participatory Rural Assessments. Based on the results of research and literature studies, this study proposes several alternative social entrepreneurship models that can be applied. In addition, this research also found an important role as well as the government in creating competitive advantage for craftsmen.

Indonesia is a country that is currently in a developing country position. Indonesia was predicted to be one of the strongest economies in Asia, especially during the oil boom era where Indonesia has oil reserves that are driving economic growth. However, the presence of oil cannot be used for long-term investment and the consequences of the 1998 monetary crisis prevented Indonesia from reaching its potential. In the future the country's growth will be driven by technology. This research is applied research to use Porter's Competitive Advantage model for the State. The data used are secondary data from trusted institutions for which data is publicly available. The results of this study are that Indonesia has the opportunity to become a new economy power in the future as long as it can utilize the current momentum.

One of the tasks of academics such as lecturers or researchers in universities is writing research papers and giving seminars to academic audiences. For the results of published articles to be published quickly, the review factor of the form must be of high value based on the peer-reviewed rating of the journal editor and the blind review system. However, all academics are well aware of the indicators of high impact factors. Therefore, we present this study intending to gain an in-depth understanding of the issues of these high impact factors. We have reviewed around 50 articles. We have given the results as findings that include, among others, high impact journals frequently cited across the academic spectrum, mainly when discussed in other high impact journals. The citation index was first developed in the 1950s to determine journal 'Impact Factors.' In other words, those journals with a score of 10 or more are considered excellent in most categories; a score of 3 is deemed to be adequate, and an average score of less than one. This is a rule of thumb. One caveat to keep in mind is that impact factors and journal comparisons work best when applied to the same field.

The purpose of this research is to share reflections on Augmented Reality (AR) technology as an upgrade tool for foreign language development. Exploring the short but considerable literature research, this post discusses AR technology for the rise in the philosophy of upgrading, upgrading teacher nursery in position, teachers, pupils, customs, infrastructure, and sustainability, using the framework of activities outlines the suitability of the use of upgrading technology in development programs. For analysis, AR technology has essential benefits for language development; however, it is not suitable for all language types. Not only that, but this information also offers solid recommendations for activities that are enhanced with AR in 4 skills as well as language-specific applications. This information has some relevance for instructors, teachers, researchers, and creators of Augmented reality content.

Latar belakang penelitian adalah partisipasi masyarakat di Kecamatan Mappakasunggu Sulawesi Selatan dalam program dana desa belum maksimal. Hal ini disebabkan minimnya pendidikan masyarakat dan minimnya pengetahuan kesadaran masyarakat tentang program dana desa. Tujuan penelitian untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam program dana desa. Metode yang digunakan adalah angket (kuesioner). Pengabdian dilaksanakan oleh warga desa dan tim di Kecamatan Mappakasunggu, Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian adalah setelah warga desa mengikuti kegiatan penyuluhan yang dihadiri oleh para kepala desa menunjukkan bahwa partsipasi masyarakat dalam program dana desa mengalami peningkatan. Hal ini dapat diketahui bahwa warga desa hadir dalam musyawarah desa, menyampaikan aspirasi, pertanyaan dan keluhan serta ikut melaksanakan serta mengawasi jalannya program dana desa. Program tersebut untuk menambah usaha produktif warga desa sehingga dapat membantu perekonomian dan mensejahterakan masyarakat desa di Kecamatan Mappakasunggu Sulawesi Selatan.
