Non-volatile memory devices have been getting significant attention from researchers worldwide in recent years due to their application in resistive random access memory and neuromorphic computing. Here, we have fabricated polyvinyl alcohol-graphene oxide (PVA-GO) composite as an active material for the resistive switching with different concentrations of GO (0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 wt. % GO solution) dispersed in 5 wt. % PVA matrix in a 2:1 volume ratio. We demonstrate the non-volatile forming free resistive switching properties of Ag/PVA-GO/Ag devices. Structural properties of PVA-GO composites are established from the x-ray diffraction pattern, which indicates the complete dispersion of GO inside the PVA matrix. The Ag/PVA-GO-0.1 wt. %/Ag device shows better bipolar resistive switching at VSET ∼ 0.4 V and VRESET at ∼−0.8 V. This device indicates well-resolved two distinct states at a read voltage of 0.1 V in endurance and retention measurements. The fabricated device switches successfully tested for 2.5 × 103 cycles and retains its state for 3.36 × 103 s without any observable degradation. Furthermore, the non-volatile retention property was modeled using time series analysis. For this, Holt–Winter's exponential smoothing technique was utilized. Additionally, the charge–flux linkage characteristic shows the double-valued function, and time domain–charge and time domain–flux show asymmetric behaviors. The electrical conduction mechanism exhibits ohmic behavior in the entire region of the low resistance state and the lower voltage region of the high resistance state. In the high-voltage region of the high resistance state, the space charge-limited conduction mechanism is observed. In the present work, DyCr0.8Mn0.2O3 and DyCr0.5Mn0.5O3 nanoparticles have been prepared via the sol-gel route and characterized by X-ray diffraction and UV-Visible Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy, SEM, EDX, and Photoluminescence spectroscopy. The influence of Mn substitution on the structural, optical, and photocatalytic properties of DyCrO3 has been studied. The XRD patterns confirm the orthorhombic phase of compounds with Pbnm space group. Furthermore, crystallite size of the nanoparticles is found to be 79.36 nm and 83.33 nm for DyCr0.8Mn0.2O3 and DyCr0.5Mn0.5O3, respectively. The optical bandgap energy of DyCr0.8Mn0.2O3 and DyCr0.5Mn0.5O3 compounds is 2.68 eV and 2.34 eV, respectively. The Photoluminescence spectrum exhibits blue, yellow and red emissions at 380 nm excitation wavelength. The dye degradation efficiency of DyCr0.8Mn0.2O3 and DyCr0.5Mn0.5O3 compounds was tested on MB and RhB dyes under solar light irradiation for 180 min. The highest degradation efficiencies for DyCr0.8Mn0.2O3 and DyCr0.5Mn0.5O3 compounds are 84% and 92% for RhB dye and 63% and 77% for MB dye in the presence of solar irradiation. The photodegradation kinetics obeys the first order linear kinetics and adsorption data follows pseudo second order model. Further, adsorption isotherms process follows the Langmuir and Freundlich model in the dark. Highlights: DyCr0.8Mn0.2O3 and DyCr0.5Mn0.5O3 nanoparticles synthesized by sol-gel method. A new pyrochlore compound Sn2Mn2O7 has been synthesized to investigate its structural, optical, magnetic, and magnetocaloric properties. The refinement of the structure by Le Bail fitting reveals that the compound crystallizes into a monoclinic structure with P2/m space group. The reflectance spectrum has been recorded on a UV–vis spectrometer between the 200 and 800 nm wavelength range. The optical bandgap of the compound is found to be ≈3.06 eV. The skin depth, refractive index, extinction coefficient, and optical conductivity have also been computed. A magnetic transition has been observed at TC≈41 K in the magnetization versus temperature behavior. Arrott's plot confirms a second‐order magnetic phase transition, which is also established by the scaling analysis of magnetic entropy change. On the application of a 5 T magnetic field, the compound shows a maximum magnetic entropy change of 2.94 J kg−1 K−1 at a temperature ≈41 K with a relative cooling power of 41 J kg−1. The maximum magnetic entropy change values are higher than that reported for the Fe2Mn2O7 and smaller than for Al2Mn2O7 compound. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Marital satisfaction proves to be a crucial factor in recent times in the Indian context to reduce divorce rates, and to promote stable and secure relationships. Existing literature suggests that factors such as Personality, Physical attractiveness and Adjustment contribute to better marital satisfaction. The aim of the present study was to identify the relationship between Personality, Physical Attractiveness, Adjustment Patterns and Marital satisfaction among married individuals. This cross-sectional research included 60 married individuals (30 males and 30 females), who were recruited using purposive sampling. Marital satisfaction was found to have a significant positive correlation with Decision making (r=0.41), Values (r=0.29), Affection (r=0.32), Stability (r=0.53), Conflict (r=0.27), Discussion (r=0.43), Behavioral Dimension (r=0.56), Emotional dimension (r=0.45) and Conscientiousness (r=0.51). Marital satisfaction presented a significant negative correlation with Neuroticism (r=-0.34). Linear regression revealed that Consensus, Conscientiousness and Behavioral Dimension significantly predicted marital satisfaction. The present study highlights the importance of personality, adjustment patterns, and physical attractiveness for a healthy marital relationship. Social skills training, assertiveness training and mindful awareness during the marital relationship and communication would strengthen the marital satisfaction among married individuals. The cognitive functioning and psychological well-being (PWB) of geriatric inhabitants gradually decreases with increasing age. The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has further impacted this decline. The objective of the current research was to explore the significant differences in PWB (loneliness, hopelessness, self-acceptance, & purpose in life) and cognitive functioning between subjects with a history of COVID-19 and healthy controls (HC) among the geriatric population in India. The present cross-sectional research involved 30 participants with a history of COVID-19, along with 30 HC, recruited through purposive sampling method. Questionnaires were used to measure the variables of cognitive functioning, and psychological wellbeing (hopelessness, loneliness, self-acceptance, and purpose in life). Independent sample t-tests revealed significantly deprived levels of cognitive functioning (p<0.001) and PWB in participants with a history of COVID-19 compared to HC, which comprised of loneliness (p<0.001), hopelessness (p<0.001), self-acceptance (p=0.004) and purpose in life (p=0.046). The research findings highlight the influence of COVID-19 in the geriatric population leading to an impairment in cognitive functioning and impaired levels of PWB. Suitable methods should be taken to distinguish these cognitive impairments and poor well-being levels to keep the geriatric population at the optimum mental health state. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
