To report a case of popular acantholytic dyskeratosis of the right scrotum. A 58-year-old man complained of pruritic papules on the right scrotum for over 5 years. Dermatologic examination revealed unevenly distributed, millet to green bean sized papules with erosion and maceration, on the right groin. Histopathological changes included hyperkeratosis, parakeratosis, irregular epidermal hyperplasia, acantholysis, intraepidermal vesicles, with a large number of dyskeratotic cells in addition to infiltration of lymphocytes and plasma cells in the dermis. We herein report a case of pure ICC presenting as an erythematous papule on the nipple with mammary Paget's disease in the epidermis. We aim to bring awareness to skin manifestation of ICC. The most common site is the gingiva, followed by the tongue and buccal mucosa. Hereby, the authors present a case of a five-year-old girl who reported for an oral and maxillofacial consultation with a swelling in her left upper gum region, associated with multiple episodes of intermittent bleeding. On presentation, a bluish-red, sessile lesion was observed on the gingiva of the left upper 1st molar. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Angiography provided a provisional diagnosis of a vascular tumour, following which embolisation and excision of the lesion were performed by Interventional Radiologists (IR) and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Kushtha is a generalised term used for all skin diseases in Ayurveda. It is mainly divided into two types: Maha kushtha and Kshudra kushtha. Vicharchika is a type of Kshudra kushtha characterised by symptoms like blackish discolouration (Shyava varnata), vesicles (Pidika), discharge (Strava), and itching (Kandu), which can be correlated to atopic dermatitis/eczema. There is no adequate treatment to cure the root cause in contemporary medicine other than topical steroids and antihistaminic agents. The main treatment protocol according to Ayurveda involves the use of both purification (Shodhana) and palliative treatment (Shaman chikitsa). A 21-year-old female patient presented with small blackish papules on both upper limbs, oosing, and itching on the lesions. She was given medication for both internal use and external application, resulting in significant improvement in symptoms. The patches resolved, and the discharge, itching, and vesicles disappeared.

Background: Lichen planus (LP) is a chronic inflammatory disorder caused by an autoimmune attack by cytotoxic T‐cells. The clinical course is variable, with episodes of remission and exacerbation. A clinicopathological scoring system for cutaneous LP is not available for effectively assessing disease severity and monitoring treatment response. This study was designed with the aim of proposing an objective and reproducible scoring system, comprising histopathological features of active and chronic disease, and to correlate these scores with clinical morphology groups. Methodology: This is a retrospective study of 200 cases of cutaneous LP, which were categorized into five clinical groups (I–V) at the time of biopsy. The corresponding histopathological feature was assigned a score based on feature of active and chronic disease. Individual scores were summated to calculate a histopathological index (index [AI] and chronicity index [CI]). The comparison of indices between various clinical groups was performed by Mann–Whitney U test. Results: The median AI was lowest (1) for post‐inflammatory hyperpigmentation (clinical group I) and highest (7) for the bullous group (clinical group IV). The median CI (7) was highest for the scarring group (clinical group V). The difference between median AI of clinical group I (post‐inflammatory hyperpigmentation) and rest of the groups (clinical groups II, III, IV, and V) was statistically significant (p value <0.05). In this work, a 73-year-old Chinese male patient presented with a 6-month history of pruritic verrucous papules on the bilateral groin. A skin biopsy was performed and revealed the following: the horny layer showed highly compact hyperkeratosis and parakeratosis with basophilic granules; the epidermis showed obvious acanthosis with psoriasiform hyperplasia. The final diagnosis was verrucous granular parakeratosis. We also reviewed the progress in nomenclature, etiology, clinical manifestations, differential diagnosis and treatment. Different clinical manifestations may represent different clinical entities. Dermatologists should differentiate it from other diseases to make a correct diagnosis. Affecting the eccrine glands, granulosis rubra nasi (GRN) is an inherited disorder that manifests itself as redness, sweating, and papules distributed mainly in the center of the face. It is diagnosed clinically and the cornerstone of management is reassurance and education about the benign nature of the condition. A wide array of treatment modalities has been proposed, such as Botox and corticosteroids injections; however curative measures are yet to be discovered. In this paper, we present a case of a 26-year-old man complaining of chronic nose sweating. The case was successfully managed with Botox injections, though we suggested our theory of undercutting the glands through aggressive defatting as part of open rhinoplasty to the patient; he declined our suggested modality. It remains an untested option and caution should be exercised in high-risk patients to avoid compromising blood supply to the skin and risking skin necrosis. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Ginseng is a popular herbal remedy derived from the plant roots of the Panax genus and has been used in traditional Asian medicine for thousands of years. In the United States, it has become increasingly popular and is taken for many conditions, including as an immune enhancer. Cutaneous adverse effects have been reported to occur following ginseng consumption, although detailed clinical descriptions are limited. A 60-year-old woman who repeatedly developed inflammatory papules following ginseng consumption is described and the characteristics of ginseng use in healthcare are reviewed.

To our knowledge, there have been no previous reports of granulomatous periorificial dermatitis (GPD) in adult patients in contrast to childhood GPD (CGPD). We report cases of 9 adult patients with GPD with regards to the clinical and histopathological characteristics and their management. GPD in adults may be an entity that is actually underdiagnosed, especially in middle-aged females. It is a benign disorder, albeit requiring a relatively long-term treatment. Unlike CGPD, GPD in adults is frequently accompanied by pruritus with predilection for the eyelid and should be treated initially with oral medication. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

A case of apocrine hidrocystoma on the penis is reported. A 23-year-old man developed a skin-colored rice-sized papule on the penis shaft for 1 month. Histopathological examination showed normal epidermis and an enlarged empty cyst in the dermis. The cyst walls were composed of 1~2 layers of cells, with round or oval nucleus at the base of the cells. Apocrine secretion was evident. A diagnosis of apocrine hidrocystoma of the penis was made. The skin lesions were completely removed and followed up for 6 months without recurrence.

Key message Skin cryptococcosis often manifests as an umbilicated papule, and chest computed tomography findings of multiple nodules and cavities are also characteristic. The combination of characteristic cutaneous manifestations and radiological findings can help clinicians make an “at‐a‐glance” diagnosis of disseminated cryptococcosis.

Targetoid hemosiderotic hemangioma is a rare, characteristic, benign lymphovascular lesion that usually affects the trunk and lower limbs. It has a diverse clinical appearance. Most affected people are in their 20s. A violaceous solitary papule encircled by a pale, narrow region and an ecchymotic ring peripherally, mimicking a target, is the most prevalent clinical characteristic. In many cases, the reported dermoscopic signs and patterns of hemosiderotic hemangioma have been found to be adequate for establishing a clinical diagnosis. The following is a case of a 23-year-old male presenting with blue-black vascular lesions on the lateral aspect of the right deltoid with a red ecchymotic ring. The 2×1 cm-sized lesion has a history of spontaneous remission and reappearance. Low‐Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) has been investigated for the treatment of various dermatological disorders. Here, we investigate the efficacy of LLLT for the treatment of cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL). This study comprised of 53 patients (total 123 lesions) with a confirmed diagnosis of CL via positive smear of LD‐bodies. The CL lesions were classified in Grade I (ie, papule of size ≤1 cm) to Grade V (ie, vesicle formation, ulceration, and superadded infection of size >4 cm). All the patients were divided into group 1 with low grade (ie, Grade I and II) CL lesions and group 2 with high‐grade disease (ie, Grade III‐V). Red laser light (wavelength = 635 nm) was used for the lesion irradiation, with a light dose of 75 J/cm2 and at a low power of 300 mW. The treatment was divided into four sessions, one session per week. Disease assessment at 10 months follow‐up revealed complete response in 91% and partial response in 9% patients of group 1, while no response was observed in patients of group 2. The clinical symptoms of acne are of polymorphic nature and its lesions can be investigated in two groups, primary and secondary. The primary acne lesions include open and closed plugged pores, papules, pustules, and nodules. Developing mostly from primary lesions, the secondary lesions include abscesses, cysts, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, signs of excoriation, and scars. Background Clinical benefits of antiviral treatment in children experience varicella without complications, remains controversial. Phyllanthus niruri Linn extract as a natural medicine is used to increase cellular and humoral immunity. Objective To determine the efficacy and safety of Phyllanthus niruri Linn extract in the treatment of varicella in children compared to placebo. Methods This was a double-blind randomized controlled trial on children ages 2-14 years who experienced varicella without com- plications. Subjects were randomly assigned to receive either Phyllanthus niruri Linn extract syrup (5 mg/5ml, 3 times daily) or placebo. Efficacy was measured by calculating the number of pap- ules and crusts after taking the extract for 4 days of administration. A five-day monitoring sheet to record daily follow up and adverse effects of the subjects were given to their parents. Results Efficacy of Phyllanthus niruri Linn measurement based on no more new papules occurred at the five-day monitor was de- tected in 46 subject (51.1%) of the Phyllantus niruri Linn group compared to the placebo group (P=0.723). Meanwhile, the differ- ence of efficacy based on time of crusts disappear in Phyllanthus niruri Linn and placebo group were 22 subjects (43.1%) and 15 subject (30.0%), respectively (P=0.053). This finding proved have clinical benefit (NNT=7.6). Conclusion There was no significant difference between the ef- ficacy of Phyllanthus niruri Linn and placebo in terms of the pre- vention appearing new papules and crusts. However, clinically Phyllanthus niruri Linn accelerates appearing and aborting crust compared to placebo

Introduction: Warty dyskeratoma (WD) is an uncommon and benign skin lesion that presents as a single papule or nodule with a keratin-filled center. This lesion is usually found on head and neck area, but has rarely been observed on other locations. Although WD may be clinically identical to many skin lesions, it has distinctive features in histopathologic examination that leads to correct diagnosis. Case Report: Herein we present a case of this rare skin lesion on lumbar area of a 75-year-old male. Kyrle disease (KD) and Flegel disease (FD) are rare variants of primary perforating dermatoses, characterized by transepidermal elimination of abnormal endogenous materials. We describe a 6-year-old Yemeni girl with a 2-year history of generalized asymptomatic, small, reddish-brown keratotic papules with a lenticular central keratotic plug. Although these features are synonymous with FD, the histology of a punch biopsy was consistent with KD. The patient was otherwise healthy, and no family members had a history of similar diseases. The patient was diagnosed with KD-FD, owing to the manifestation of features associated with both diseases.

Resumen Objetivo: Describir un caso clínico de sífilis secundaria localizada en cavidad oral. Caso clínico: Un paciente masculino de 24 años, proveniente de Joaquín V. González, provincia de Salta, fue derivado a Unidad de Estomatología del Hospital Señor del Milagro, con manifestaciones orales de una semana de evolución. Clínicamente, se observaron lesiones blancas opalinas, indoloras, compatibles con pápulas sifilíticas, en diferentes ubicaciones orales. Se realizaron estudios serológicos que confirmaron el diagnóstico de sífilis secundaria. El paciente fue derivado al Servicio de Infectología, donde recibió tratamiento con una dosis de penicilina G benzatínica 2.400.000 UI intramuscular, con repuesta clínica favorable. Conclusión: El conocimiento de las manifestaciones orales puede llevar al diagnóstico clínico de la sífilis secundaria por parte del odontólogo, lo cual, junto con su tratamiento oportuno, puede evitar la transmisión de la enfermedad. El diagnóstico precoz es la mejor manera de ayudar al paciente y de prevenir las complicaciones. Palabras clave: Lúes, pápula, sífilis, sífilis secundaria. Abstract Aim: To describe a clinical case of localized secondary syphilis in the oral cavity. Clinical case: 24 years male patient from Joaquín V. González, Salta Province, who was referred to the unit of stomatology of Señor del Milagro Hospital, having one week old oral manifestations. Clinically, white opaline painless lesions compatible with syphilitic papules were observed, located in different parts of the oral cavity. Serology tests were done proving secondary syphilis diagnosis. The patient was referred to the Infectology Unit where he was treated with penicillin G benzathine 2400000 UI with favorable clinical results. Conclusion: Dentist ability to recognize oral manifestations can lead to the clinical diagnosis of Secondary Syphilis in order to timely diagnose and treat it avoiding transmission, as early diagnosis is the best way of helping the patient to avoid further complications. The article presents a case study where the patient is presented with disseminated tuberculosis with skin involvement and advanced Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Diabetes. It mentions that cultures of the skin were positive for Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It mentions that standard pulmonary TB treatment regimens are sufficient to treat cutaneous tuberculosis.

Introduction: Sebaceomas are relatively rare benign neoplasms differentiating towards sebaceous glands. These dermal neoplasms present as solitary papule or nodule. The age of presentation is sixth to ninth decade with a female preponderance. They may be associated with underlying visceral malignancies. We present a case of sebaceoma of the lip. This case is being presented because of its rare site of occurrence. Case report: A seventy five year old lady presented with a single, well defined, painless and progressively enlarging flesh coloured papule over the upper lip of two months duration. No systemic signs or symptoms suggestive of visceral malignancy were present. Clinical diagnosis of papilloma was proferred. Histopathological examination of the excision biopsy revealed nests and lobules of basaloid cells and few mature sebocytes seeming arising from central hyperplastic sebaceous gland. Final diagnosis of sebaceoma was rendered. Conclusion: Sebaceoma is an adnexal tumour typically affecting the face and the scalp. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case to be reported in literature in the lip. The possible origin of sebaceoma in the present case could be ectopic sebaceous glands (Fordyce’s spots) which occur in increasing frequency in elderly individuals, especially in the lip
