The paper considers issues related to the application of the knife-drum type parameters design in order to increase the productivity of the maize harvesters in the phase of milk-wax ripeness. In this regard, energy-saving technologies are required. This device allows you to reduce the percentage of loss and injury of sweet corn grains due to the absence of pressure on the сob.

The combined unit is used for tillage with simultaneous introduction of protective and stimulating agents. A special feature of the unit is the use of pneumatic slot sprayers, they use a jet-forming device, which is necessary to create a highly dispersed air-drop jet. Agrotechnical requirements for such spraying ensure high quality distribution of the working fluid to the soil surface and supply the required rate of its consumption. The main task of the study of pneumatic slot sprayer was to determine the performance of this sprayer.

The new technology involves the use of a special device for preliminary deformation of corncobs installed in the sloping chamber of a combine harvester. Installing the present device will allow to increase the service life of a harvester, to reduce grain losses and get fuel economy in the process of corn harvesting for grain by reducing stress on a concave and as a consequence, less wear. Also, when using a special device for pre-deformation of corncobs, it is possible to reduce grain crushing during threshing.

The article is devoted to tobacco leaves harvesting in per leaf way, using a roller-type separating device acting on object of harvesting with rolling cutter having cutting flanges forming leaf–separating cells in working area.The subject of these studies is highly specialized and relates to field of agricultural engineering. Tobacco plants were chosen as an object of processing. The aim of research was theoretical substantiation of the interaction of tobacco stems with leaf–separating device in process of harvesting.The article has a research character, which is expressed in fact that theoretical analysis of interaction of tobacco plant with leaf–separating of cutter–roller type in process of harvesting is carried out. In result of research there were obtained dependences that allow to determine constructive and technological parameters of separating device for separating tobacco leaf. Conclusions set out the main results achieved so far.

The article considers the treatment of potatoes with protective and stimulating substances before planting, using a slit-type disperser, a finely dispersed low-volume spray on the surface of the processing object. The article has a research character, which is expressed in the fact that the analysis of methods and means for processing potatoes with protective and stimulating substances, as well as excerpts from the works of leading scientists on the subject under study are promising scientific developments in the form of patent analysis, which provide optimal flow of the technological process, there were shown their shortcomings and solutions to these problems. There was formulated the main problem of general etching constructions. Also, there was specified the technology of potato tubers treatment with protective-stimulating preparation, the description and the course of technological process are cited. As a result of the work done, a constructive scheme of the device for the treatment of tubers with protective and stimulating liquids by means of slit sprayers is proposed. The article also provides the optimization of parameters of a pneumatic slit sprayer for treatment of tubers with protective and stimulating liquids. The conclusions set out the main results achieved so far.

The combined unit is used for tillage and subsurface belt application of protective and stimulating liquids and microorganisms into the soil. New technology offers for the task to use pneumatic slotted sprayers with jet-forming device that is linked with a compressor that delivers air to transform the operation fluid from the tank in the aerial-droplet jet processing lower layers of the soil simultaneously with cultivation. Protective shields save the sprayer from deformation and breakage. To obtain the required range of the jet, the angle of inclination of the sprayer is adjusted. The supply line of operation fluid has an equalizing capacity to change the flow rate of the operation fluid. The basis of the development of sprayers was the task of development of a plane-parallel jet capable of spreading to a distance to 2 m with an adjustable width of a grip m/s. there were conducted the researches of performance (charge) of pneumatic slotted sprayer depending on air pressure given to in slotted nozzles of the sprayer.

There was presented the constructive-technological scheme of leaf-separating apparatus for harvesting tobacco leaves in the article. There was conducted the theoretical analysis of the process of tobacco leaf separation from a stalk. There were obtained the dependencies characterizing the trajectory and speed of arbitrary point of the cutting edge of a small drum.
