This paper examines methodologies for monitoring energy consumption and operational parameters of an industrial assembly line, with a particular emphasis on the utilization of virtual tools, augmented reality, and real-time data visualization. The research examines the integration of an interface and the implementation of a data acquisition system, employing augmented reality to facilitate interaction with the collected data. The proposed system employs the Node-RED interface to facilitate the establishment of connections between constituent elements. The data is stored in a database, which provides support for decision-making in the analysis of energy consumption and operational parameters of the industrial assembly line. The results demonstrate that the solution is effective in enhancing energy resource management, identifying inefficiencies, and optimizing the performance of industrial equipment. The findings indicate that the implementation of such a system can markedly enhance the industrial process.

Background and Objectives: Thyroid ectopy represents a rare disease with an incidence of 0.3–1/100,000. It occurs due to the defective embryological process of the thyroid gland development. The thyroid ectopic tissue may suffer malignant transformation. This review aims to shed light on the roles that I-131 SPECT/CT (radioiodine 131 single-photon emission tomography fused with computed tomography) and F-18 PET/CT (fluorodeoxyglucose F18 positron emission tomography fused with computer tomography) may play in managing patients with ectopic thyroid carcinoma. Materials and Methods: A total number of 47 articles were identified on the PubMed and Google Scholar databases, and 3 other articles were selected from articles identified in the references cited in the retrieved articles. After refining the selection, the inclusion and exclusion criteria were applied, resulting in 10 articles that were included in the review. Results: The cases of ectopy included in this review were localised as follows: four cases in the thyroglossal duct, two cases in the mediastinum, one case in the oesophagus, one case in the thorax, one case with a pre-tracheal location, and one case with a latero-cervical location. In all the cases, F-18 FDG PET/CT was used as a diagnostic tool. In one case, F-18 FDG PET/CT was combined with I-131 SPECT/CT and MRI (magnetic resonance imaging). In one case, it was combined with 68 Ga-FAPI PET/CT (Ga-68 radiolabelled FAP inhibitor positron emission tomography fused with computer tomography). The maximum SUVs (standardised uptake values) ranged from 5.5 to 25 g/mL. Conclusions: F-18 PET/CT and I-131 SPECT/CT hybrid nuclear imaging is of great value in assessing ectopic thyroid carcinoma. F-18 FDG PET/CT plays an important role in the primary tumour evaluation and distant disease detection. Ga-68 FAPIs are a promising alternative. I-131 SPECT/CT adds important information related to the anatomical characterization of primary and distant iodine-avid lesions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The creative class has been argued to both hamper and support economic resilience. As such, we propose a new framework on the significance of the creative class for local economic resilience, namely: the creativity and resilience analysis approach (CREA). The study contributes to the literature (1) by evaluating resilience through an index that includes multiple dimensions of creativity-based economic development; and (2) by identifying preliminary findings that link economic resilience with spatial shifts in local labour markets. Objective: Quality of life is extensively studied in older persons, but there are few studies that investigate it in people with subjective cognitive decline. Our aim was to evaluate the quality of life in a Romanian sample of individuals with subjective cognitive decline compared to controls while accounting for different possible moderators. To our knowledge, this is the first study to evaluate the quality of life in a Romanian subjective cognitive decline sample. Methods: We conducted an observational study to evaluate differences in the quality of life between subjective cognitive decline and controls. Participants were evaluated for subjective cognitive decline according to Jessen et al. We collected sociodemographic and clinical characteristics and information about physical activity. Quality of life was evaluated using the Short Form-36 questionnaire. Results: There were 101 participants included in the analysis with 66.33% (n=67) in the subjective cognitive decline group. There were no differences between the social, demographic, and clinical characteristics of the individuals. The subjective cognitive decline group had a higher score on the negative emotion trait of Big Five. Individuals with subjective cognitive decline reported poorer physical functioning (P=.034), more role limitations due to physical health (P=.010) and emotional problems (P=.019), and less energy (P=.018) compared to the control group. Conclusion: Persons with subjective cognitive decline reported diminished quality of life compared to controls and differences were not explained by other sociodemographic and clinical characteristics evaluated. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, authorities had to take measures to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Since then, various vaccines have been developed. However, countries have not been equally successful in promoting these vaccines. Thus, preventive measures are still necessary in order to contain the COVID-19 virus. Nevertheless, compliance with preventive measures might be affected by the surge of disinformation on social media. Although various studies have examined the factors that predict this compliance, few studies have focused on Eastern European countries or have examined the role played by the types of sources used in gathering information about the pandemic. Thus, the present study investigated the effect the sources of information people use to have on compliance with preventive measures, while controlling for a large number of variables. The research focused on the Cluj metropolitan area, Romania, through a representative survey. The results show that reliance on social media has a negative effect on compliance, while reliance on specialized journals/websites has a positive effect, irrespective of the other factors controlled for. The results also highlight that in order to increase compliance authorities should communicate clearly and with empathy the risk the COVID-19 virus poses to society. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the context of de-collectivization process started in the early 1990s, and later on faced with the conditions of EU accession, the Romanian rural area has passed through a wide transformation process in the last 27 years. In this context, rural communities developed and evolveed differently, according to their capacity to seize opportunities like: being close to urban areas, direct access to European and national transport routes, access to non-reimbursable funding, existing human capital etc. This study aims to evaluate the evolution of Romanian North-West Region communes in the 2002-2011 period, using several determinant development factors (five independent variables). Romanian rural areas are going nowadays through a prolonged period of transformation, due to shifts in the demographic structure caused by the national growth poles strategy and other factors. Our study scrutinizes the modifications of a set of socio-economic indicators in order to identify the evolution of the economic development rhythm in rural areas of the North-West Region, and to observe if the rhythm of evolution is different in communities that had access to different types of funding and access to main transportation routes. In the recent years, in the context of the global economic crisis, governments are confronted with high levels of fiscal deficits and accumulating public debt. Therefore, it is justifiable to question the negative effects and the path towards future economic growth. In the matter of a very few years, portals have become complex and powerful web-based systems, which provide to the users both centralized access to information from different sources, and a great range of services like e-mail, searching, forum, and so on. In this paper, we present a way to develop portals conforming to the principles of the object-oriented methodology and to construct 3-tier software architectures for portals. In order to do this, we use the MVC (Model-View-Controller) architectural pattern and depending on their responsibilities, we furthermore classify the model objects in four categories: domain, entity, utility, and manager objects. Romania is currently facing a lot of challenges in the e-government field. In this paper, due to the fact that we identified little or no efforts from the Romanian public administration in order to simplify all the activities conducted by Romanian citizens in order to pay their utility bills, we are proposing a model for a new e-service that aims to correct this state of facts. We started this quest by identifying and conducting an analysis of the existing administrative framework within a Romanian AOA (Apartment Owners Association), as this is the most common form of association that deals with the payments of utility bills (UBs) in Romania. We developed a model for the AOA's administrative process. Subsequent to our analysis, our findings suggest that in Romania, although progress has been made in order to simplify the payment of utility bills, there are still several drawbacks associated with the administrative process, within the Romanian AOA. It is argued that the underground economy is as old as government itself. Many people know how the underground economy functions, but a few are those who know its level. This article analyzes the most important measurement methods of the underground economy, as well as the way these methods could be applied. The methods are grouped into three categories: direct methods (that are using micro-economy data, gathered through sociological investigations, fiscal audits and other direct investigation methods), indirect methods (that use macroeconomic indicators in order to highlight the evolution and the level of the informal economy) and causative methods. Romania is currently facing a lot of challenges in the public administration (PA) field. In this paper, we are going to show how the European Union Services Directive implementation impacted the Romanian PA reform process by achieving one major objective: the implementation of a Point of Single Contact (PSC) in Romania. We started this quest by identifying and conducting an analysis of the existing administrative framework within the Romanian Trade Register Office (TRO), as part of the EUSDRO project. We developed a model for the TRO front and back office administrative processes. Our findings suggest that although progress has been made there are still several drawbacks associated with the administrative process, within the Romanian TRO. The IT implementation of the EU's Services Directive contributes to the goal of creating the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economic region in the world by the year 2009. Modernizing public administration is the basis for implementation of the EU directive, and in order to ensure this successfully, collaborative procedures between administrative institutions and countries must be put in place and further developed. This paper will present the concept of points of single contact, cover topics such as the vision for these points in relation to the EU Services Directive, some technical design options and an analysis of necessary requirements for an architectural framework that takes into consideration the specific e-Government background of Romania. Background: Subjective cognitive decline is presently considered to be the earliest clinical stage of neurodegeneration. By its current definition, subjective cognitive decline conceptually implies that the sufferer presents no psychometrically measurable cognitive impairment despite numerous articles stating the presence of discrete objective impairments. Our purpose was to evaluate differences in objective cognitive performance in subjective cognitive decline patients compared to healthy controls., Methods: A total of 101 cognitively unimpaired participants were divided into a subjective cognitive decline group (n = 67) and healthy control group (n = 34). We conducted a thorough cognitive evaluation and collected social, demographic, and clinical data as well as data on personality traits, sleep quality, and physical activity. Both groups were matched for sex, age, education, and Mini-Mental State Examination score., Results: The subjective cognitive decline group had a lower verbal learning capacity as shown by the worse performance on Rey auditory verbal learning test trial 1 ( P  = .021) and Rey auditory verbal learning test total scores ( P  = .023). The subjective cognitive decline group was significantly more impaired in executive functioning compared to controls, as shown by trail making test A ( P  = .012) evaluation., Conclusion: Persons with subjective cognitive decline have subtle, objective cognitive impairments which may be undetected with widely used, brief cognitive evaluations, such as the Mini-Mental State Examination. Yet, these impairments are not severe enough to warrant the diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment. Cannabidiol (CBD) has been used as a pharmacological treatment for psychiatric disorders in many studies, but few of good quality at the moment. Our objective was to assess the effect of CBD in mono/add-on therapy on symptom severity in psychiatric disorders. We performed a systematic review of clinical trials and randomized controlled trials that used CBD as treatment for psychiatric disorders. PRISMA criteria have been used for methodological purposes. Two assessors individually examined the results based on title and abstract, and decided which papers warranted full read. We included studies in English that measured disease severity as primary outcome. Out of 226 studies returned from the search, 9 warranted full read. There were 4 studies using CBD in schizophrenia, 3 studies of substance use disorder and 2 studies of social anxiety. CBD has a good safety profile even in higher doses, but results are inconclusive regarding improvements in disease severity., (2021 authors.)
