Abstract

Let $G$ be a connected graph with $|V| = n$ and $|E| = m$. A bijection $f:E\rightarrow \{1,2,...,m\}$ is called a local antimagic labeling of $G$ if for any two adjacent vertices $u$ and $v$, $w(u) \neq w(v)$, where $w(u) = \sum_{e \in E(u)}f(e)$, and $E(u)$ is the set of edges incident to $u$. Thus, any local antimagic labeling induces a proper vertex coloring of $G$ where the vertex $v$ is assigned the color $w(v)$. The local antimagic chromatic number is the minimum number of colors taken over all colorings induced by local antimagic labelings of $G$. Let $m,n > 1$. In this paper, the local antimagic chromatic number of a complete tripartite graph $K_{1,m,n}$, and $r$ copies of a complete bipartite graph $K_{m,n}$ where $m \not \equiv n \bmod 2$ are determined.

Abstract

An aberrant right subclavian artery (ARSA), also called as arteria lusoria, is one of the most common aortic arch anomalies. ARSA–esophageal fistula is a rare, life-threatening complication, with only 37 cases reported in literature. We describe a case of a young girl who developed acute episode of massive hematemesis after the recovery from novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pneumonia. Computed tomography (CT) angiography showed ARSA with retroesophageal course and active contrast leak in esophagus. Digital subtraction angiography confirmed the site of active contrast extravasation from the ARSA. However, the patient succumbed to hypovolemic shock even before the endovascular or surgical interventions could be done.

Abstract

A unique investigation has been undertaken to analyze the heat transmission by convective and radiative mechanisms in a fully saturated penetrable fin of a longitudinal structure positioned on a leaning surface. This study introduces the fusion of the realms of Homotopy perturbation and Sumudu transform techniques to address a previously unexplored problem involving a moving fin with temperature‐dependent thermal conductivity. In prior research papers, the Homotopy Perturbation Sumudu Transform Method (HPSTM) was utilized to obtain analytical solutions for fins featuring temperature‐dependent thermal conductivity. However, in our current study, we employ the HPSTM to tackle a novel problem involving a moving porous fin. This fin exhibits temperature‐dependent thermal conductivity and is subjected to convection and radiation effects. Through a comparison with numerical results, the present study has validated the dependability of its findings. The dimensionless temperature profile has been investigated by studying its relationship with several parameters. Here we observed that when the Peclet number (Pe) $({Pe})$ is augmented by 400%, there is a corresponding 1.11% increase in thermal outline at the fin's extremity. Enhancing the value of radiation parameter Nr ${Nr}$ by 400% declines the temperature of the fin tip by 14.079%. Abstract

In this paper, we focused on microwave sintered NiTiO3 nanoparticles synthesized via sol–gel method. The crystal structure was determined by the X-ray diffraction. Vibrational bands related to Ni–O and Ti–O bands were confirmed using the Fourier transform infrared spectrum. These NiTiO3 ceramics obeyed semiconductor behavior of Arrhenius type. The activation energy was found to be 0.04 μeV. The M–H curve exhibited superparamagnetic behavior at room temperature. Keywords: NiTiO3, X-ray diffraction, HRSEM, Impedance analysis, M–H curve

Abstract

Objective: Stroke is a major public health problem, both in developed and developing countries. Stroke is becoming an important cause of early death and disability in India due to increasing prevalence of the major key modifiable risk factors like type 2 diabetes mellitus and hypertension. Hence there is an urgent need for recognition of stroke risk factors and its warning signs. With this intention the present study aimed to assess the risk of stroke among patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Methods: A non-experimental, descriptive survey method was adopted. Samples were selected by using quota sampling technique and 60 hypertensive and type 2 diabetes mellitus patients who met the inclusion criteria were selected for the study. Data were collected by an interview technique using a modified stroke risk assessment tool by the National Stroke Association, USA. Results: Out of 60 samples 48.3% of them were in high-risk category, 28.3% were in caution and 23.3% in low-risk category. 35. Rainfall Pattern Analysis in the Three Major Valley Systems of Bengaluru

Abstract

Bengaluru has three major valley systems, i.e., Vrishabhavathi Valley (V-Valley), Hebbal Valley and Kormangala-Challaghatta Valley (K-C Valley) which are the repositories of many lakes. Due to the increasing population, urbanization and industrialization, the lakes and their drainage areas are being encroached. Bengaluru is facing the problem of flooding. Hence, the rainfall analysis is very important to understand the rainfall pattern, trend as well as its quantity. Rainfall analysis helps to predict urban floods. In the present study, the Taluk level station rainfall data was collected from Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Cell (KSNDMC) for the period of 50 years from 1971 to 2020 and the same was analyzed for monthly, seasonal and annual periods using the Thiessen polygon method. Based on the monthly rainfall analysis carried out in the valley systems, it is observed that the highest rainfall occurs during the month of September, i.e., nearly 20% of the total annual rainfall, whereas the January month contributes the least amount of rainfall. Based on the seasonal rainfall analysis, it is known that the South-West Monsoon contributes to the highest percentage of rainfall when compared to other two season. The South-West Monsoon contributed to nearly 54.7%, 55% and 55.4% of the total annual rainfall in the Hebbal Valley, K-C Valley and Vrishabhavathi Valley respectively. The normal average annual rainfall is observed to be 830.1mm, 890.2mm and 1002.2mm respectively for Hebbal Valley, K-C Valley and Vrishabhavathi Valley when calculated from the past 50 years data (1971 to 2020). Hebbal Valley has received a lowest rainfall of 455mm during 2012 and Vrishabhavathi Valley has recorded the highest rainfall of 1556.2mm during 2005. When analyzed annually, it was observed that the highest rainfall of 1321.2 mm (2005) and lowest rainfall of 455mm (2012) was recorded in the Hebbal Valley. In the K-C Valley, the maximum rainfall observed was 1225.3mm (2004) and the minimum rainfall of 623.9mm was observed (1985). In the Vrishabhavathi Valley, the highest rainfall of 1556.2mm (2005) was recorded and the least rainfall of 551.3mm (2012) was recorded. Since all the valleys are located spatially adjacent to each other, they experience similar kinds of monthly and seasonal rainfall pattern. The rainfall pattern in the three valleys shows an increasing trend.

The Multiple Levels of Inverting (MLI) has wide application due to find inlow potential, high power control in industrial application. The proposed Multilevel inverter with 5 switches produces the desired output with lower harmonics in output voltage waveform.Several conventionaltopologiesneed more components leads to increase in the gating circuit complex, increased switching losses and which increases cost of the converter topology. A new Phase Shifted Carrier PWM technique is proposed to generate optimum gate pulse. Currently the trending technology focuses on electric vehicles and autonomous technology along with robotics. Thus, the proposed paper mainly focuses on the enhancement and efficiency improvement in the corresponding trends. An electric vehicle has many advantages over the fuel vehicle. The highly efficient and best performing motor for such application is BLDC motor and it is proved and analyzed practically. Also, servo motor plays an enormous role in robotics for angle control and such other applications. The characteristic performance of these motors is analyzed and the speed of BLDC motor is automatically controlled using Fuzzy logic with the help of LabVIEW software interfaced with Arduino uno and the characteristic data is visualized in an effective manner. The characteristic performance and automatic speed control are analyzed to use these special electrical machines in various modern technologies and to make advancement in industries. As technology improves we are getting attracted with the advanced product which has obvious quality and quantity. The vehicle population increases rapidly which may exceed the human population in the future. This would result in the consumption of fossil fuels and the extinction of non-renewable resources. So to overcome this it is a necessity to jump to hybrid and electric vehicles. Even though we have such technology we hesitate to use such an opportunity because of less attention made for infrastructure of charging station. In this paper, we discuss how to utilize the renewable sources available for free to implement the station and made the system automatic. Here we are using solar and windmill setup together to generate power. Once the power is generated it will be stored in the battery. Due to the use of this renewable energy power got may not be constant. So we should use a converter to boost up the power that is sufficient to drive the vehicle. From the battery, the charge is supplied to the vehicle plugged into the station. Though it is automatic we have used a parking sensor so that users can check the availability of free slots and make use of this. The slot information, charging level, and amount deducted will be shown on the LCD. Various sensors like parking slot, current, and voltage sensor is used in various ways for the safety of the vehicle. This will reduce the accident happen in charging station usually. An added advantage to save precious time is to use an RFID tag and RFID reader for payment purposes. The amount automatically debited from the user account will be shared with them via message. Abstract

The three major Valley systems of Bengaluru namely Vrishabhavathi Valley, Hebbal Valley and Kormangala-Challaghatta Valley houses many lakes and play a very important role in its hydrological processes.The morphometric analysis helps us to learn about the characteristics of the underlying rock type, pervious nature of soil, slope gradients, runoff behavior and water retention potential within the Valley systems. Morphometric analysis was carried out for Linear, areal and relief aspects. The Survey of India topographical maps and Digital Elevation Model data were used to prepare the base map and the drainage mapswith the help of GIS software. The Strahler system of stream ranking was adopted. Among the three Valleys, Vrishabhavathi Valley is observed to be the largest Valley in terms of area and perimeter.Vrishabhavathi Valley basin has sixth order stream as the highest stream order where as the other two Valleys have fifth order stream as the highest order. The drainage pattern formed within the Valley systems was observed to be dendritic. The watershed shape factorshowed that the Vrishabhavathi Valley is elongated in shape where as the K-C Valley and the Hebbal Valleys are less elongated in shape comparatively. The drainage density of the three Valleys revealed that they fall under coarse drainage density classification. The relief aspects of the three Valleys exhibit low reliefs indicating a flat surface. This helps in designing a sustainable management plan for the three major Valley systems in terms of their conservation and also ensure sustainable soil and water usage within the Valley systems. &nbsp
