A series of cationic waterborne polyurethane (CWPU) emulsions was synthesized with isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI) as hard segments; polyol (N210) and polyethylene glycol (PEG-2000) as soft segments; N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) as a hydrophilic chain extender; and trimethylolpropane (TMP) as a crosslinker. Then, the effects of the R-value, MDEA content, and TMP content on the properties of the CWPU emulsion, film, and fabric treatment were investigated. The results indicated that when the R-value was 3.0, the MEDA content accounted for 4.0% of the solid and the TMP content accounted for 1.0% of the solid. CWPU has excellent storage stability. Applying it to the fixing treatment of the viscose fiber fabrics can effectively improve the color fastness to rubbing, elasticity, surface smoothness, and anti-static properties. Based on the synthesis of an epoxy-acrylate hybrid emulsion, a single component waterborne graphene/epoxy acrylic acid coating with excellent performance is prepared by adding aqueous graphene dispersion. Effects of different aqueous graphene dispersion on properties of coating system was studied. The molecular structure of the graphene dispersion and epoxy-acrylate hybrid emulsion is characterized by infrared spectroscopy, and the micro-morphology of the graphene dispersion and the single component waterborne graphene/epoxy acrylic acid preservative is characterized by SEM. The particle size and distribution of epoxy-acrylate hybrid emulsions were tested using Zeta potential analyzers. The results show that the single component waterborne graphene/epoxy acrylic acid preservatives prepared herein have the characteristics of convenient use, environmentally friendly, and superior anti-corrosion performance. The nitrogen-doped porous carbon was prepared by direct carbonization of pyrrole functional crosslinked lignosulfonates precursors via Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction, and studied for the removal of Pb(II) from water. The absorbent showed higher adsorption capacity which reached 102.77 mg/g when the initial Pb(II) concentration was 200 mg/L and the dosage was 1 mg/mL. Chemical interactions drive the adsorption and the calculated Qmax was 157.9 mg/g according to the Langmuir isotherm model. Such easily separated porous carbon with higher uptake capacity and excellent reusability could be a promising material for mitigation Pb(II) ions pollution just prepared from by-production from the paper industry. Epoxy acrylate secondary dispersion has both the advantages of epoxy resin and acrylate resin, is one of the important varieties of waterborne coatings, and is also an important part of new environmentally friendly architectural coatings. This paper reviews the research progress of epoxy acrylate secondary dispersions at home and abroad, and comprehensively introduces the three main synthesis methods of epoxy acrylate secondary dispersions (esterification, grafting and etherification) principles and status quo, analyzed the influence of different synthesis methods and modification techniques on the performance of emulsion and film formation, summarized the main factors affecting the performance of dispersion, and pointed out that the development of low odor, high solid content and functional modification is the development trend of epoxy acrylate secondary dispersion. Hypercrosslinked functionalized lignosulfonates (CLS) were prepared by Friedel–Crafts alkylation reaction. The structure of CLS without introducing any functional groups and the according adsorption behaviors of Pb(II) were characterized and studied, respectively. Due to increase of specific surface area and abundance exposure of binding sites, the maximum adsorption capacity of CLS was found to be as high as 74.45 mg/g, which was about seven times that of raw lignin. The results provide a new feasible synthesis method for preparing lignin-based materials with porous structures and promising application for the removal of heavy metal ions from wastewater.
