Suvremeni turist je sve zahtjevniji te u destinaciji tijekom odmora želi aktivno sudjelovati u životu destinacije. Tijekom odmora želi steći nova životna iskustva i nadograditi svoje spoznaje. Kulturno nasljeđe čini sastavni dio cjelokupnog habitusa određenog društva čineći jedinstveni identitet destinacije. U njemu je objedinjeno nasljeđe iz područja umjetnosti (glazba, slikarstvo, kiparstvo, plesovi i dr.), načina života (mijene kroz povijesna razdoblja – nošnje, gastronomija, enologija), gospodarskih djelatnosti (od zemljoradnje do suvremenih informacijskih tehnologija) i drugih. Cilj rada određen je ocjenom konkurentske pozicije turizma na turističkom tržištu, s posebnim osvrtom na utjecaj kulture i kulturnog nasljeđa na konkurentnost turističke ponude. Radom se želi dokazati da će se uključivanjem kulturnog nasljeđa u turističku ponudu razviti jedinstveni i inovativni proizvodi koji će rezultirati većim interesom turista za boravkom u destinaciji te njihovom većom potrošnjom.

Sodobni turist je vse bolj zahteven in želi biti v čim večji meri vključen v življenje, ki ga ponuja izbrana destinacija. Med počitnicami si želi pridobiti nove življenjske izkušnje in nadgraditi svoje znanje. Kulturna dediščina je sestavni del družbe, ki ustvarja edinstveno identiteto destinacije. Združuje dediščino na področju umetnosti (glasba, slikarstvo, kiparstvo, ples itd.), načina življenja (spreminjanje skozi zgodovinska obdobja ‒ kostumi, gastronomija, enologija), gospodarske dejavnosti (od kmetijstva do sodobne informacijske tehnologije) itd. Avtorji v prispevku preučujejo kulturno dediščino kot možno konkurenčno prednost v slovenskem turizmu. Namen prispevka je pokazati, da se z vključitvijo kulturne dediščine v turistično ponudbo razvijejo edinstvene in inovativne ponudbe, ki bodo povečale zanimanje turistov za destinacijo in tudi njihovo dejansko bivanje na destinaciji.

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of vitamin B1 (thiamine) following thepathohystologycalchanges in the hippocampus, cerebellum and cerebral cortex of Japanese quail (Coturnix japanica) treated with chlorpyrifos.In this study we also assessed the antioxidative activity of thiamine in the brain by monitoring the nitrite concentration(NO2-), parameter of oxidative/nitrosative stress and activities of agents of cellular detoxification such as glutathione(GSH) and glutathione S-transferase(GST). The study was conducted onforty male Japanese quails (2 controls and 2 experimental groups, n= 10), 3-4 weeks old. One controlgroup was treated only with vitamin B1, while the second one receivedpurecorn oil.CPFdissolved in corn oil was administeredto quails by gavage for 7 consecutive days at dose of 3 mg/kg BW while another groups wastreated with 10 mg/kg BWof vitamin B1 i.m. 30 min after CPF administration for 7 consecutive days. Our studies have shown that CPF has ledto increase in the concentration of NO2-,but after thiamine treatment there has been a decrease. Also CPF has led to small changes in GSH and GST levels, while groups treated with vitamin B1showedsignificantly (p< 0.0001)increased activity of these parameteres, proving very important role of thiamine in the detoxification and elimination of pesticides. In hippocampus groups that received CPF showed signs of edema with numerous damaged neurons, especially in pyramidal layer, while in groups that received vitamin B1 along with CPF, pathological changes were similar, but less prominent.In cerebellum groups that received CPF showed large number of degenerated Purkinje cells, while with vitamin B1 the reduction of degenerated neurons is present.Cerebral cortex showed degeneration with pycnotic nuclei of many neurons, edema and congestion in groups which received CPF and also similar changes were found after application of B1. Overall these results confirm that CPF causes oxidative stress and degenerative changes, but also support the hypothesis that thiamine belongs to the group of "antistress vitamins".

Injuries of the peripheral nerves represent a large-scale problem in the modern world. They lead to significant consequences considering working ability and quality of life due to restricted recovery, especially of motor function. Different therapeutical approaches have been used in order to improve motor recovery. A significant number of studies showed some beneficial effects of different B complex vitamins on motor regeneration. Different experimental animal models were used in these studies, as well as within in vitro studies. In this paper, we will present the effects of B complex vitamin therapy on peripheral nerve regeneration after injury.

The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of vitamin B1 (thiamine) on biochemical changes in the brain tissue of Japanese quail (Coturnix japanica) treated with chlorpyrifos. The following parameters were examined: cholinesterase activity (acetylcholinesterase – AChE and butyrylcholinesterase – BChE), nitrite concentration–NO2- (parameter of oxidative/nitrosative stress), activity of inducible nitric oxide synthase –iNOS, arylesterase –ARE, cyclooxygenase –COX and extracellular signal–regulated kinase –ERK (MAPK). The study was conducted on eighty male Japanese quails (2 controls and 6 experimental groups, n= 10), 3-4 weeks old. One control group was treated only with vitamin B1, while the second one received pure corn oil. CPF dissolved in corn oil was administered to three groups of quails by gavage for 7 consecutive days at doses of 1.5 mg/kg BW, 3 mg/kg BW and 6 mg/kg BW. Another three groups were treated with 10 mg/kg BW of vitamin B1 i.m. 30 min after CPF administration (in above mentioned doses) for 7 consecutive days. Our studies have shown that CPF significantly inhibited both cholinesterases and ARE in brain, while vitamin B1 increased activity of enzymes in a dose dependent way. Also CPF has led to increase in the concentration of NO2-, activity of iNOS and COX, but after thiamine treatment there has been a decrease of these parameters. There has been a decrease of ERK expression after CPF treatment that demonstrates an increase of apoptotic vulnerability of cells exposed to CPF. Overall these results confirm that CPF causes oxidative/nitrosative stress and apoptosis, but also support the hypothesis that thiamine belongs to the group of "antistress vitamins". Taking into consideration the slow increase of incomes and limited investments IN Montenegrin hotel industry, the purpose of this paper is to research the potential sources of efficiency via analysis of financial indicators in hotels in Montenegro. The special focus is given to analysis of the following indicators: operating revenue, revenue per room, room occupancy, investments, room rates, payroll etc. Using available secondary and primary data from hotels, government bodies and relevant international organizations, several factors are identified that affect the financial efficiency of SMEs in Montenegrin hotel industry. Key findings indicate that hotel industry in Montenegro is experiencing limited financial efficiency, especially in terms of following financial indicators: low average annual growth rate of the operating revenues per room of just 4% in period 2008-2013; room occupancy has grew from average annual 37% in 2008 to 39.5% in 2013; decrease in average investment in 2013 comparing to 2012 for 54.6%, together with negative prognosis for future investment till end of 2015; and serious regional disbalance in sense of key indicators (e.g. operating revenue, gross operation profit) in seaside, central and northern area of Montenegro, where level of demand in Northern (Mountain) region is still below the Montenegrin average, etc. The contribution of this research comes from the analysis of financial indicators and accounting system of hotel industry in Montenegrin, which provides the guidance and ideas for further improvements in the important sector of tourism.

As a leader’s behavior can have a strong impact on different employee work- related outcomes, various approaches have been put forth in an effort to determine the most effective form of leadership and determinants of individuals’ choice of leadership style. This paper analyzed whether one’s choice of leadership style is due more to personal or organizational characteristics. We used survey data to investigate the determinants of leadership style among Montenegrin managers. Our analysis showed that, although demographic characteristics such as gender, age, and education do not influence the choice of leadership style, internal organizational characteristics such as hierarchical level, managerial orientation to tasks/people, and decision-making characteristics such as decision- making style and decision-making environment are positively associated with the choice of democratic leadership style. This contributes to recent research in leadership that shows how some personal characteristics are considered to be less important in developing certain styles and that the choice of style is more dependent and contingent on external influences and situations. Obnašanje vodje ima lahko močan vpliv na različne izide, povezane z delom zaposlenega, zato so bili razviti različni pristopi za najučinkovitejši stil vodenja in dejavnikov za izbiro stila vodenja. Namen prispevka je analizirati, ali na izbiro stila vodenja vplivajo bolj osebni ali bolj organizacijski dejavniki. Pri proučevanju dejavnikov stila vodenja med črnogorskimi menedžerji je analiza podatkov iz raziskave pokazala naslednje: demografski podatki, kot so spol, starost in izobrazba, ne vplivajo na izbiro stila vodenja, interne organizacijske značilnosti, kot sta hierarhična raven in menedžerska usmeritev k nalogam/ljudem, in značilnosti odločanja, kot sta stil odločanja in odločevalsko okolje, pa so pozitivno povezane z izbiro demokratičnega stila vodenja. Ta prispevek k novejšim raziskavam o vodenju kaže, da so nekatere osebne značilnosti upoštevane kot manj pomembne pri razvoju določenega stila in da je izbira stila bolj odvisna od eksternih vplivov in razmer.

Innovation is information and knowledge process and the investigation of the factors of various kinds of innovation activities could help firm to improve its innovation performance. Larger varieties of information sources enable firms to enhance its innovation opportunities which lead to sustain competitive advantage. Community Innovation Survey (CIS) tracks the record of the usage of different information sources as the key factors of innovation activities in European Union Countries. The goal of this paper is to determine the impact of different information sources to innovative performances in developed and developing European Union Countries. In this research we have used two dependent variables for measuring R&D internal and R&D external activities. Explanatory variables are: firm, suppliers, customers, competitors, consultants, universities, government, and conferences. Our results showed that most of the explanatory variables (e.g. firm, supplier, customers, institutions and universities) are statistically significant, while competitors have not been found as the significant information source in Croatia and in France.

The analysis on the determinants of various kinds of innovation activities is one of the main issues that could help firm to advance its innovation activities. However, there is limited systematic knowledge about factors that motivate firms to improve innovation performance. What more, it is particularly important to learn more about information sources as the driving forces of different innovations intensity levels since they may vary in different countries. Community Innovation Survey (CIS) tracks the record of the usage of different information sources as the drivers of innovation activities in European Union Countries, as well as other European countries. Current research has been conducted usually on the usage of one country as the sample. Research that would investigate the differences among larger number of countries (three or more) is scarce. The goal of this research is to investigate to what extent the usage of different information sources influences the innovative activities in three countries: Croatia, France and Netherlands, by using CIS data, which covers the period from 2006 to 2008. Two dependent variables have been used in the research, measuring R&D internal activities, and R&D external activities. Following information sources are been used as explanatory variables: firm, suppliers, customers, competitors, consultants, universities, government, and conferences. Our results revealed that firm, supplier, customers, institutions and universities are important information sources for innovation activities in all three countries. In addition, competitors are not been found as the significant information source in any of the investigated countries. Governmental institutions and conferences have a different impact in different countries.
