Abstract

The review of equipment for processing and technology of processing melons and gourds is given. Primary processing of gourds has not been industrialized in the CIS countries and abroad until recent years. Theoretical prerequisites for the creation of products based on melon are presented, the issues of rational use of melon for the production of long-term storage products are highlighted. The main physical-mechanical and rheological properties of pumpkin, melon and watermelon fruits are given. The proposed options for equipment and technological lines for the processing of watermelon, melon, pumpkin fruits are presented. The technologies for processing the fruits of watermelon and melon are described. The object of research: Melons and gourds, namely processing technology Investigated problem: Imperfect technologies for processing melon fruits. The main scientific results: systematization of data on the problem of processing melon fruits for food in order to choose a rational way to improve processing technologies. 11. Counter-Cyclical Approach to Change Management in Banks for the Sustainable Development of the Financial System

Abstract

The motivation for this research was the need for scientific elaboration on the issues of managing the flexibility of the financial system to ensure its sustainable development. The purpose of the article is to develop a counter-cyclical approach to change management in banks for the sustainable development of the financial system. Based on data of 2020 and post-crisis economic recovery in 2021, the article reveals the positive effect of managing changes in banks in the form of sustainable development of the financial system. Alternative scenarios for managing changes in banks are compared in terms of advantages to enhance the resilience of the financial system. This serves as a justification for the fact that the contribution of banks’ flexibility to this positive effect varies significantly depending on the phases of the economic cycle. The authors’ SAP-LAP model has provided a qualitative interpretation of change management in banks in the context of the economic crisis to enhance the resilience of the financial system on the example of the credit services market. The theoretical impact consists in revealing the status quo that determine the flexibility of banks and their contribution to the sustainable development of the financial system. These conditions are the development of mobile money services and the expansion of ATM network, as well as specialization in the segments of the richest 60% and the poorest 40% of consumers of credit services. The practical significance of the results obtained in the article is that the developed new approach to the organization of banks’ activities makes it possible to increase the flexibility of banks and thereby enhance their adaptability to the cyclical economy.

Abstract

The research focuses on the scientific search for a solution to the problem associated with the imperfection of the existing approach to the management information systems in the business of Industry 4.0, expressed in the fact that this approach does not fully ensure the agility of the business and does not make it possible to fully disclose its potential in terms of improving product quality. The research aims to identify a perspective on improving the management information systems to support the quality and agility of Industry 4.0 business. Using international statistics for 2022, the authors developed an econometric model using regression analysis to explain the important role of management information systems in ensuring the quality and agility of Industry 4.0 business. Based on this model, the authors conclude that the use of big data and analytics and knowledge transfer has a strong positive impact on the agility of companies and cyber security, more than the impact of management professionalism. The authors also prove that the use of big data and analytics and knowledge transfer is determined not only by the professionalism of management but also by digital competencies. The theoretical significance of this research is that it revealed the prospect of improving the management information systems to support the quality and agility of Industry 4.0 business through the transition to a new dataset approach to this management. The practical significance of this research is expressed in the fact that the developed dataset approach to the management information systems in the business of Industry 4.0 will make it possible to overcome the gap in the technological provision of the management information systems and in the provision of quality and agility management of Industry 4.0 business.
