Background: In fact, most schools around the world are not well equipped to have discussions and keep current on the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) in many aspects of society and economy. They either ignore this conversation, or simply criticize technology, but these resistances are not stopping wide spread of various types of AI projects in schools, mainly driven by corporations, and fueled by incentives that might not match well with long term educational objectives of student success, diversity, equity, and inclusivity. Objectives: The overall purpose is to address the rising gap between the ultrafast development of AI and the meticulous technological application of education, and to suggest the important bridge of building technological leadership in teacher preparation to get ready for the grow of AI in education. Methods: The contextual review examines the field of AI development in education through three lenses--conceptual context, practice context, and research context. Results and Conclusions: The paper provides educators and policy makers an overall background of the phenomenon of AI in education. The study has revealed there is an urgent need for research and development in teacher preparation as well as in the philosophy of technology in education to bridge the gap between AI and education.

Purpose: This current paper attempts to bring more light to the current debate of understanding phenomenological research methods, in order to clarify the interpretive phenomenological inquiry with Heidegger's philosophy of phenomenology. Design/methodology/approach: The paper uniquely presents the three distinctions of Heideggerian thoughts in conducting interpretive phenomenological research--(1) realizing the problem of identity; (2) recognizing the inadequacy of ontology; and (3) interpreting the subject matter through historical critiques. Findings: The paper also discusses the basis of phenomenological research issues of "a priori" knowledge, data analysis process and qualitative research issues of validity, reliability, and creditability. In the conclusion and recommendation, this paper suggests six key points to implement a proper research strategy to employ Heideggerian phenomenological inquiry in social science and policymaking research where investigators are dealing with the multiplicity of existing and alternative worldviews. Originality/value: The paper idea is fresh and adds new knowledge to the field.

Background: Dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) is the most prevalent and fastest-growing vector-borne disease globally, with symptoms ranging from mild to severe and, in some cases, fatal. Quang Nam province in Vietnam can serve as a model for dengue epidemiological study, as it is an endemic region for DHF with a tropical climate, which significantly constrains the health system. However, there are very few epidemiological and microbiological reports on Dengue virus (DENV) serotypes in this region due to the limited availability of advanced surveillance infrastructure. Aims of the study: This study aims to (1) assess the PCR positivity rates among hospitalized patients with clinical Dengue presentation; (2) identify the circulating DENV serotypes; and (3) assess the impact of secondary DENV infections on outbreak severity by detecting the presence of DENV-specific IgG antibodies in the plasma of DENV-infected patients. Materials and methods: Blood samples from patients clinically diagnosed with DHF and admitted to Quang Nam General Hospital (2020–2022) were analyzed. RNA extraction was performed using the NKDNA/RNAprep MAGBEAD kit, followed by Multiplex Reverse Transcription real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (MLP RT-rPCR) for DENV detection and serotype identification. Positive samples were further tested for DENV-specific IgG antibodies using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: The PCR positivity rate among hospitalized patients was approximately 68% throughout the study period. A significant shift in DENV serotypes was observed, with DENV-2 initially dominant and later giving way to DENV-1. IgG was detected in nearly half of the MPL RT-rPCR-positive samples, indicating secondary DENV infections. Conclusions: Our study highlights persistent dengue prevalence and dynamic shifts in DENV serotypes in Quang Nam province, emphasizing the need for improved diagnostic strategies and timely sample collection. The significant serotype shifts and the presence of IgG in hospitalized patients suggest potential severe outcomes from recurrent DENV infections, possibly linked to antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) effect, underscoring the importance of advanced surveillance, vector control, vaccination campaigns, and public education to predict and prevent future DHF epidemics. A mandate framework is proposed for delegating monetary policy to an instrument-independent, but goal-dependent central bank that emphasizes simplicity in both the objectives entering the welfare criterion and those in the instrument rule. It consists of: (i) a simple quadratic loss function penalizing deviations from target variables; (ii) a welfare-optimized, Taylor-type log-linear nominal interest-rate rule with targets that match those in the loss function; (iii) a zero-lower-bound (ZLB) constraint on the nominal interest rate imposing a low unconditional probability of ZLB episodes; and (iv) a long-run inflation target. In an estimated New Keynesian model with these features, we find that for a quarterly probability of 5%, an optimal annual inflation target is close to 2%, weights for real variables in the loss function are small compared with inflation except for the real wage growth mandate and the optimized rules mimic a price-level rule. Summary: Total knee replacement is increasingly widely prescribed, not only for degenerative joint disease but also for other problems such as articular cartilage disease, misalignment due to causes other than degeneration, bone and joint cancer, and diseases that cause joint destruction. However, changes in knee joint biomechanics as well as complications of the patellofemoral joint after surgery lead to instability, joint pain, patellar rupture, and patellar tendon rupture. These are issues that challenge surgeons as well as make patients hesitant when considering knee replacement surgery. Understanding the changes in patella index that can occur after total knee replacement surgery will help surgeons carefully evaluate patients before surgery and calculate intraoperative techniques to minimize complications., Methods: Fifty-eight patients with 62 knees were diagnosed with osteoarthritis and underwent total knee replacement surgery. All patients had clinical and radiographic evaluation of the knee joint before and after surgery., Results: Patellar indexes did not change significantly after surgery compared to before surgery. Before surgery, 2 patients (3.23%) had true patella baja. After surgery, 7 patients (11.29%) had true patella baja and 3 patients (4.84%) had pseudo-patella baja. The average knee flexion amplitude after surgery was 103.11±15.440, with only 2 patients losing extension >50º. The average KS score after surgery was 83.69±9.98, significantly improved compared to before surgery 33.44±11.38. Similarly, KFS score after surgery was 81.01±8.84 compared to before surgery 37.05±8.08., Conclusion: Changes in index of the patella before and after surgery affect the surgical results, the normal patella group has better results than the group with patella baja.

Dialysis access thrombosis is a common complication in the process of care. With the introduction of endovascular AV-fistulas [AVF]s the situation gained complexity with new potential thrombosis localizations. Several thrombectomy methods are available for recanalization of thrombosed AVFs ranging from invasive surgical methods to minimal invasive endovascular approaches. Early assessment, diagnosis and treatment is crucial for prolonging the life span of an AVF and preventing the need for placement of central venous catheters. To our best knowledge, we present the first case in which an obstructed antecubital communicating vein (aka perforating vein) of an endovascular created AVF was re-opened via interventional thrombectomy with the Rotarex® System (BD Interventional). The procedure was performed primarily under ultrasound guidance with fluoroscopic support. Our case report shows that this method, if done correctly and successfully, may prevent loss of the dialysis access. We carried out a trans-ancestry genome-wide association and replication study of blood pressure phenotypes among up to 320,251 individuals of East Asian, European and South Asian ancestry. We find genetic variants at 12 new loci to be associated with blood pressure (P = 3.9 × 10(-11) to 5.0 × 10(-21)). The sentinel blood pressure SNPs are enriched for association with DNA methylation at multiple nearby CpG sites, suggesting that, at some of the loci identified, DNA methylation may lie on the regulatory pathway linking sequence variation to blood pressure. The sentinel SNPs at the 12 new loci point to genes involved in vascular smooth muscle (IGFBP3, KCNK3, PDE3A and PRDM6) and renal (ARHGAP24, OSR1, SLC22A7 and TBX2) function. The new and known genetic variants predict increased left ventricular mass, circulating levels of NT-proBNP, and cardiovascular and all-cause mortality (P = 0.04 to 8.6 × 10(-6)). Our results provide new evidence for the role of DNA methylation in blood pressure regulation.
