Abstract

Objetivo: comprender las repercusiones de la lepra en la vida cotidiana de las personas que viven con la enfermedad. Método: Investigación cualitativa, descriptiva y exploratoria que utilizó la historia oral temática, realizada con nueve personas en tratamiento de lepra. Los datos se recopilaron de mayo a julio de 2016, a través de un cuestionario semiestructurado que consta de datos de identificación y una pregunta orientadora. Las entrevistas fueron grabadas y luego transcritas y sometidas a un análisis de contenido temático categórico. Resultados: los hallazgos se organizaron en tres categorías: cambios en la vida diaria después del diagnóstico de lepra; Sentimientos desencadenados por el diagnóstico y; Revelando las diferentes formas de lidiar con la lepra: estigma y prejuicio. Conclusión: la lepra trae cambios en la vida de la persona afectada y sus familias, y depende de los profesionales de enfermería, además de monitorear el tratamiento, identificarlos y realizar acciones para que el individuo pueda luchar contra el estigma, los prejuicios y la exclusión social., Objective: To understand the repercussions of leprosy on the daily lives of people living with the disease. Method: Qualitative, descriptive and exploratory research that used the thematic oral history, conducted with nine people undergoing leprosy treatment. Data were collected between May and July 2016, through a semi-structured questionnaire composed of identification data and a guiding question. The interviews were recorded and later transcribed and subjected to categorical thematic content analysis. Results: The findings were organized into three categories: Daily changes after diagnosis of leprosy; Feelings triggered by the diagnosis and; The unveiling of different ways of dealing with leprosy: stigma and prejudice. Conclusion: Leprosy brings changes in the life of the affected person and their families, and it is up to the nursing professionals, besides the follow-up in the treatment, to identify them and to take actions so that the individual can fight against stigma, prejudice and social exclusion., Objetivo: Compreender as repercussões da hanseníase no cotidiano das pessoas que vivem com a doença. Método: Pesquisa qualitativa, descritiva e exploratória, que utilizou a história oral temática, realizada junto a nove pessoas em tratamento da hanseníase. Os dados foram coletados entre maio a julho de 2016, por meio de questionário semiestruturado composto por dados de identificação e uma questão norteadora. As entrevistas foram gravadas e, posteriormente, transcritas e submetidas a análise de conteúdo temático-categorial. Resultados: Os achados foram organizados em três categorias: Mudanças no cotidiano após o diagnóstico da hanseníase; Sentimentos desencadeados frente ao diagnóstico e; O desvelar das diferentes formas de lidar com a hanseníase: estigma e preconceito. Conclusão: A hanseníase traz mudanças na vida da pessoa acometida e de seus familiares, cabendo aos profissionais de enfermagem, além do acompanhamento no tratamento, identificá-las e realizar ações para que o individuo consiga lutar contra o estigma, preconceito e a exclusão social.

Resumo Objetivo: Verificar a efetividade do processo de doação de órgãos para transplantes no Estado do Paraná. Métodos: Estudo transversal realizado com dados disponibilizados pelo Sistema Estadual de Transplantes do Paraná referentes ao processo de doação de órgãos, no período de 2011 a 2016. Das 3.872 notificações de potenciais doadores em morte encefálica, 2.600 foram incluídas neste estudo por se constituírem em doadores elegíveis de órgãos. Abstract

Objectives: to analyze the trends and factors associated with family refusal of skin donation for transplantation., Methods: this cross-sectional study was conducted in the State of São Paulo, with family authorization terms collected from 2001 to 2020. The variables analyzed included year, age, gender, cause of death, and type of institution. Data were analyzed using linear and multiple logistic regression, with the Odds Ratio estimated at p<0.05 for statistical significance., Results: 1,355 individuals refused skin donation. The trend of refusals decreased between 2001 and 2009 in the age groups of 0-11 years and 12-19 years, but increased in the group aged ≥60 years. This trend continued to decrease in the 0-11 years group from 2010 to 2020, and increased in the 20-40 years group. Males and the age groups of 20-40 years, 41-59 years, and ≥60 years exhibited 27%, 34%, 47%, and 53% lower chances of refusal, respectively., Conclusions: there is an urgent need for measures to mitigate the high number of refusals associated with skin donation.

Abstract

Objectives: to analyze the opinions of healthcare students on organ and tissue donation for transplantation., Methods: qualitative document analysis study, using the records of a database and analyzing data from two perspectives: 1) Lexical analysis, with the IRAMUTEQ software, and 2) Thematic content analysis., Results: from the analysis, 3 main categories were generated: 1) Organ and tissue donation as an act of love for others and an opportunity of a new beginning; 2) Clarification and awareness on organ and tissue donation; and 3) Importance of communicating the family and promoting organ and tissue donation., Final Considerations: despite being in favor of donation, students also recognize the presence of social taboos; the discussion in the family nucleus, promoting the theme and raising awareness in society are considered important. Additionally, the education of students is one of the possibilities of intervention for the issue.
