- Abstract
The algorithm of optimal reservation of spare parts is substantiated and tested depending on their resource, cost and distance of the consumer to an external source of spare parts (SP). The paper concretizes the procedure for implementing the methodological provisions for the optimal reservation of the SP, set out in Shilovsky et al, 2022, and is a continuation of this work. The criterion and goal of optimizing the SP reserve is the minimum amount of costs for eliminating failures of a geographically distributed fleet of transport and handling machines.

18. Improving the Efficiency of Protection of the Forest Fire Machine against Forest Fires with the Help of Composite Materials

- Abstract
The article presents the results of work aimed at improving the efficiency of forest fire protection machine from forest fires using composite materials. The composition and technology of composite material “water glass – graphite microparticles” production is proposed. It was found that composite material is able to maintain the phase composition and structure at elevated temperatures. Methods of application of fire-retardant composite material on the protected surfaces are considered. The values of limit loads that lead to the destruction of composite material are revealed. A mathematical model was developed and a numerical experiment of high temperatures on composite material was carried out using it as a fire-retardant coating. The resulting composite material can be used as a protective coating for the surfaces of the enclosure of cabins of forest fire machines, building structures. CM can be used as a lining of equipment in the thermal power and metallurgical industries, as well as in equipment used in emergency situations.

19. Research of Thermal Stability and Fire-Resistance Properties of the Composite Material “Water Glass-Graphite Microparticles”

- Abstract
The properties of “water glass – graphite microparticles” composite material (CM) have been researched and qualitative and quantitative phase analysis of the CM structure has been done. Experimental samples of the CM with filler particles (graphite) and a few micrometers in size have been studied with X–ray diffraction and electron microscopy. Fire–resistance test of the composition has been conducted. Fire–resistance limit for the test samples of composite material is determined by the loss of its insulating ability (I). Fire–resistance limit I15 equal to 15 minutes has been obtained in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents. It is shown that the research material is characterized by thermal stability and maintains its composition and structure under high temperature exposure. Composite material with the obtained characteristics can be used as protective coatings for building structures to increase fire resistance and reduce fire hazard.

23. Properties of Particleboards Manufactured from Low-Grade Wood by Using a Shungite Modified Binder

- Abstract
The results of testing one-ply and three-ply particleboards manufactured by using a shungite modified binder are presented. Stress limits under bending and stretching, as well as parameters of water resistance were determined. The particle boards were manufactures from low-grade wood shavings. Ultradispersed powder of nanoscaled shungite was used as a modifying agent for the urea-formaldehyde resin based binder. Properties of particleboards samples were determined by standard methods. Best parameter values of physical and mechanical properties were observed for samples of one-ply and three-ply boards when the modifying agent mass fraction at binder was 10 %. At this concentration the ultimate stress limits under static bending increased by 41% and 12% for one-ply and three-ply boards, respectively. The increase of ultimate stress limits under stretching was 104% and 12% for one-ply and three-ply boards, respectively. Addition of ultradispersed powder of nanoscaled shungite increases boards’ water resistance. The modifying agent reduces 24-hour swelling of one-ply and three-ply boards by 32% and by 20%, respectively. The water absorption of all types of particle boards reduced up to 50%

Transverse momentum spectra of electrons from Au+Au collisions at sqrt(s_NN) = 130 GeV have been measured by the PHENIX experiment at RHIC. The spectra show an excess above the background from photon conversions and light hadron decays. The electron signal is consistent with that expected from semi-leptonic decays of charm. The yield of the electron signal dN_e/dy for p_T > 0.8 GeV/c is 0.025 +/- 0.004 (stat.) +/- 0.010 (sys.) in central collisions, and the corresponding charm cross section is 380 +/- 60 (stat.) +/- 200 (sys.) micro barns per binary nucleon-nucleon collision., 6 pages, RevTeX 3, 4 figures, 1 table, 308 authors, accepted by Phys. Two particle azimuthal correlation functions are presented for charged hadrons produced in Au + Au collisions at RHIC sqrt(s_NN) = 130 GeV. The measurements permit determination of elliptic flow without event-by-event estimation of the reaction plane. The extracted elliptic flow values v_2 show significant sensitivity to both the collision centrality and the transverse momenta of emitted hadrons, suggesting rapid thermalization and relatively strong velocity fields. When scaled by the eccentricity of the collision zone, epsilon, the scaled elliptic flow shows little or no dependence on centrality for charged hadrons with relatively low p_T. A breakdown of this epsilon scaling is observed for charged hadrons with p_T > 1.0 GeV/c for the most central collisions., 6 pages, RevTeX 3, 4 figures, 307 authors, submitted to Phys. Rev. The first measurement of energy produced transverse to the beam direction at RHIC is presented. The mid-rapidity transverse energy density per participating nucleon rises steadily with the number of participants, closely paralleling the rise in charged-particle density, such that E_T / N_ch remains relatively constant as a function of centrality. The energy density calculated via Bjorken's prescription for the 2% most central Au+Au collisions at sqrt(s_NN)=130 GeV is at least epsilon_Bj = 4.6 GeV/fm^3 which is a factor of 1.6 larger than found at sqrt(s_NN)=17.2 GeV (Pb+Pb at CERN)., Comment: 307 authors, 6 pages, 4 figures, 1 table, submitted to PRL 4/18/2001; revised version submitted to PRL 5/24/2001

34. Coronavirus spread analysis in the first pandemic year

The paper examines the characteristics of coronavirus spread in different countries around the world at the beginning of the pandemic, when effective vaccines have not yet been developed. The time interval analyzed is a year and a half from the beginning of 2020 to the summer of 2021. During this period, the spread of the disease was not yet significantly affected by the uneven vaccination process of the global population, and the external environment at that time was roughly the same throughout the world in terms of the lack of effective means to counteract the spread of the coronavirus. Based on open-source data on pandemic spread statistics by country (incidence, cure, mortality), applied statistics and data mining techniques identified groups of countries with different spread of the disease. Relative values of indicators, scaled to population size, and the dynamics of their change were analyzed. Estimates were made of the relationships between country-specific pandemic indicators and key demographic and socioeconomic indicators for these countries. These results may be useful for understanding the peculiarities of viral infections spread in different countries and regions of the world in the absence of effective countermeasures.

- Abstract
The methods and results of experimental investigation on the additive influence of amorphous silica micro powder when mixed in the glue for one-ply particle board are presented in the article. Wooden particles of coniferous and hardwood species as well as glue solution based on carbamide-formaldehyde resin were used for boards manufacturing. The amorphous silica micro powder contained particles 8 μm by the size and specific surface 120...400 m
2 /g was used in the experiment. The samples were tested to determine their physical-mechanical properties. It was found that 1 % amorphous silica micro powder additive increases the breaking point of one-ply particle board under bending strength by 43%.- Published

- Abstract
The article presents the methods and the results of the experimental investigation of the additive influence of shungite nanopowder when mixed in the glue for three-ply particle board. The hypothesis of shungite nanopowder influence on physical-mechanical properties, water absorption and thickness swelling of wood particle board was formulated. The results of experimental investigations proved that the optimum shungite nanopowder quantity in glue solution makes up about 10 % of absolutely dry resin mass. Wooden particles of aspen and coniferous species, as well as glue solution based on carbamide-formaldehyde resin, were used in boards manufacturing. The samples were tested in order to determine physical-mechanical properties. It was found out that the 10 % shungite nanopowder additive increases the breaking point of three-ply particle board under bending strength by 18.3-25.7 %, the breaking point of three-ply particle board under tension perpendicular to the face of board by 7.5-11.7 %. As the result of experimental investigation it was found out that the 10 % shungite nanopowder when mixed in the glue decreases water thickness swelling of three-ply particle board up to 14.2 % and water absorption by 10.6-20.1 %. The shungite nanopowder powder contained particles of 50...100 nm in size and specific surface of 120 m
2 /g. In the course of the experiment three-ply particle boards were used with the thickness of 15.6 mm.- Published

- Abstract
One of the requirements to the cabin of a forestry machine is the ability to absorb a certain amount of energy during deformation in the event of a rollover. The paper presents a method for increasing energy absorption of protective structure of a forestry machine cabin, enabling to reduce the risk of injuries to the operators in the event of an emergency. This is achieved by introducing into the structure of the protective frame of a cab energy-absorbing mounts in which the energy is absorbed due to plastic deformation of their elements in the event of a rollover of forestry machine. The article presents the design of the mount, describes the principle of its operation in the event of an emergency, and theoretical and experimental studies of the deformable mount. As the result of theoretical and experimental investigations the geometric parameters of the energy-absorbing mount are determined.

This paper deals with the statistical catastrophe theory method for the optimal design of machine components. A short introduction to the catastrophe theory is presented, the statement of optimal design problem is given in the first part of the paper. A single criterion design is presented; the reliability function is used as the objective function. The last part is focused on probability approach. Manage variables are viewed as random stationary processes, statistical linearization method and Pearson moment method are used for the reliability function evaluation.

The purpose of this paper is to present the catastrophe theory method for the optimal design of machine components. A brief description of the cusp catastrophe is presented in the introduction. The statement of optimal design problem is given in the second part of the paper. A single criterion design is presented; the reliability function is used as the objective function. The last part is devoted to probability approach.
