This article discusses the Franciscan theme in Polish literature, which was apparent from the 19th century onwards, and especially towards the end of that century. This trend involves the works of many authors and an enormous variety of texts. Therefore, this article focuses on two writers—Józef Wittlin and Roman Brandstaetter—who clearly inherited the broad Franciscan tradition, and also developed and popularised the Franciscan message. The Franciscan revival in Polish literature was initiated by Protestants, which often meant a departure from the figure of St. Francis established by the Church in favour of an individual understanding and presentation of him. The first Polish centre of the revival of Franciscanism as a literary and cultural formation was Lviv. Józef Wittlin grew up in this environment; moreover, he authored, inter alia, the first Polish unfinished novel about St. Francis Salt of the Earth, which refers to Franciscanism, as well as a number of smaller texts with a Franciscan message. Wittlin was a mentor to Roman Brandstaetter, who, after World War II, became the greatest bard of Assisi and St. Francis in Polish literature. Unlike Wittlin, who was Protestant-inspired, Brandstaetter clearly placed the Assisi saint in a Catholic context. This writer greatly expanded references to Franciscan tradition and art in his work. He wrote essays on Assisi, wrote a drama about St. Francis, and combined Franciscanism with biblical themes, as evidenced by his Jesus of Nazareth tetralogy. Despite their differences, what both writers shared is that the saint from Assisi was neither an object of devotional worship nor an outdated figure, but a representative of ideas and layers of spirituality that had remained fresh for people living in that conflicted era. Although they emphasised other aspects of the Franciscan ethos, they both accepted it as a counterbalance to a cold and indifferent world, an idea for living addressed not only to Christians, but also to people of other faiths and agnostics. Purpose: The purpose of this publication is to present the applications of usage of business analytics in continuous improvement. Design/methodology/approach: Critical literature analysis. Findings: This paper explores the pivotal role of business analytics in driving continuous improvement within Industry 4.0 environments. It examines how the integration of advanced analytics tools, such as predictive modeling and real-time data visualization, transforms operational efficiency, quality management, and strategic decision-making. By leveraging vast datasets generated by interconnected systems, organizations can identify inefficiencies, anticipate potential issues, and enhance customer experiences. The paper highlights both the advantages, including improved decision-making, increased efficiency, and data-driven innovation, as well as the challenges, such as data quality concerns and integration difficulties. Ultimately, it underscores the significance of business analytics in fostering a culture of ongoing refinement and adaptability, crucial for sustaining competitive advantage and achieving longterm success in the evolving industrial landscape. Using archive materials, this article investigates the decades-long translation process behind the year 2000 Carcanet collection 'Cyprian Norwid: Poems, Letters, Drawings'. In doing so, it explores the role that translation played in the initial blossoming, and later collapse of, Christine Brooke-Rose and Jerzy Peterkiewicz's romantic relationship. The translation of Christian mystic Cyprian Norwid's poetry, from Polish to English, was undertaken for the first time by Brooke-Rose and Peterkiewicz in the 1940s. After a small batch of poems were well received, Peterkiewicz partnered with poet Burns Singer to produce another batch, included in their collection 'Five Centuries of Polish Poetry'. As divorce proceedings began, Peterkiewicz approached Brooke-Rose with the idea of doing a full collection of Norwid translations, which she accepted. For over half a decade, this was the only communication between the two writers. The project was rejected by publishers in 1976, only to re-emerge in the 1990s, being accepted by Carcanet Press and then lost when their offices were destroyed by an IRA bomb in 1996. Pieced together for a third time, the translations by Peterkiewicz, Brooke-Rose and Burns Singer were finally published in the year 2000. By looking at the process behind these translations, this article hopes to provide insights into the personal aspect of translation work, collaborative translating methodologies and the traces such working processes leave upon the final translations. William J. Tonesk was born to a family of Polish immigrants who came from Russian and Austrian partitions of Poland. Born Władysław Jan Toniecki in Schenectady, New York, he can be traced in historical records using several last names: Tonski, Toniski, Tonick. While using his passion for Polish literature and theater as an advantage throughout his high school and college years, he invariably presented himself as an American. He settled for William J. Tonesk in 1932 as he entered Columbia University in New York. This article explores the opportunities available to the young man from Schenectady who skillfully navigated the ethnic advantage and native opportunity to spur his professional career. It also examines the support from Polish American organizations that was instrumental in keeping him intellectually and professionally engaged in the 1930s. Repeatedly, he multiplied the effects of the opportunities available to him, thus establishing a sound prequel to his professional career in the US intelligence establishment and diplomacy. The article discusses intertextuality in Stanisław Lem's novel, Memoirs Found in a Bathtub (1961). An analysis of Memoirs discovers references to numerous works of literature (Kafka, Borges, Gombrowicz, Mrożek, Chekhov, Gogol, Shakespeare, Mickiewicz, Ray Bradbury, Genet, and Jan Potocki, among others), philosophy (Cassirer, Peirce, Lévinas), religion, popular culture, and unwritten lore (the Bible, Greek mythology, songs, proverbs, aphorisms, rhymes, and toasts). However, careful examination reveals that it is extremely difficult to draw the line between connections intended by the author and those which are accidental or read into the text by critics or readers. That is because in Memoirs, Lem designed a work which is intertextually open, capable of establishing a virtually infinite number of relations with other texts and contexts, and encouraging its reader to recognize all possible links. Intertextual references operate here collectively rather than as relationships with individual works. Locating Memoirs in a vast, practically unlimited intertextual space does not lead to specific, premeditated meanings, but rather serves to multiply potential senses. In the article, this intertextual strategy is paired with Lem's theory that the meaning of a literary work is unstable and is fully developed in the process of individual reception. Aim: The aim of the research conducted during the fair on 30.03-5.04.2023 was to identify the factors for the development of the bleisure trend in cities based on the preferences of the participants of the 29th edition of the KRAKDENT® International Dental Fair The research mainly concerned the "bleisure" trend, which in business tourism concerns the combination of business and leisure, i.e., business duties and leisure. Design/methodology/approach: The research was not commercial and was carried out as part of the cooperation of the Targi w Krakowie Ltd. with the Jagiellonian University in Krakow and the University of the National Education Commission in Krakow. The research was conducted based on primary data-a questionnaire collected between 30 March and 1 April 2023 during the 29th edition of the KRAKDENT® International Dental Fair held at the International Exhibition and Congress Centre EXPO Kraków. The research was conducted among exhibitors and visitors, although the primary respondents were exhibitors. Results: The research indicates expectations and contemporary trends in traveling among business tourists participating in the fair. The research verified the main research hypothesis as follows: The primary determinant of the development of the "bleisure" trend in cities is the discounts offered in the area of city attractions and infrastructure. Research limitations/implications: The difficulty obtaining questionnaires from visitors to the fair was a significant limitation. In the future, it would be essential to continue this type of research among participants at trade fairs or other business events. Practical implications: The research aimed to learn about the preferences of both exhibitors and visitors to prepare a better or tailored offer for them for subsequent editions of the event. Social implications: The research subject has significant social implications, as bleisure tourism is an essential factor affecting human well-being and health. Bleisure tourism is of great social importance for people's mental comfort. Originality/value: In the Polish literature on the subject, this type of research has not been carried out so far. Objective: The article examines the business model of digital labour platforms (DLPs) and the relative financial attractiveness of this form of work for platform workers. Research Design & Methods: The leading research methods used in the article include a critical analysis of the scientific achievements of Polish and international literature on the topic and a diagnostic survey using a questionnaire. Findings: The business model of digital labour platforms inherently exerts downward pressure on earnings, favouring low worker income. This pattern affects the pricing of both online and offline services. However, survey results indicate that most service providers in Poland have experienced an income increase since starting work through these online platforms, compared to their previous earnings Implications/Recommendations: The business model of digital labour platforms theoretically incorporates elements that force down the incomes of service providers. However, the delivery of services within this framework can, depending on the national context, potentially lead to an increase in platform workers' earnings. That being said, the relative income growth observed in the Polish labour market does not necessarily contradict the overarching trend of relatively low earnings for the workers in this sector. Contribution: The topic of platform work and the income of individuals engaged with DLPs in Poland have received limited attention from researchers. There has been also a notable absence of studies addressing these phenomena, particularly with regard to changes in income. The paper aims to develop a comparative perspective that allows the reader to explore the traces of authoritarian systems in contemporary Polish and Spanish culture. The point of departure is the research of Polish scholars from the Post-Dependence Studies Centre, who examine Polish culture with postcolonial tools adapted to the post-communist context. From there, the article attempts to formulate a methodological framework – the so-called post-authoritarian subaltern studies – applicable to post-Franco and post-communist culture, particularly the presence of subaltern characters in contemporary cultural texts. In accordance with the proposed methodology, the author analyses three texts: Homo Polonicus (1992) by Marek Nowakowski, Los mares del sur by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán (1979) and Amado amo (1988) by Rosa Montero. The Polish poet Juliusz Słowacki (1809–1849) travelled through Palestine between 2 January and 27 January 1837, from El-Arish on the southern border with Egypt, at that time quarantined owing to plague, to the area around Lake Tiberias in the north, which had just been devastated by a strong earthquake. A detailed analysis of the itinerary of this pilgrimage has made it possible to establish new circumstances and topographical facts. The poet's recently discovered personal diary (Raptularz Wschodni) contains hitherto unknown observations and drawings by the author himself. Together with his other travel notes and recollections in his letters, they constitute an invaluable basis for a new account of how and where he wandered, and where he stayed and spent the night. The published accounts of other 19th-century travellers in Palestine have helped establish further details: three Polish Roman Catholic priests, two French intellectuals, and the English aristocrat and globetrotter G. Robinson, as well as site views by D. Roberts. The traditional and often erroneous identification and dating of the sites visited by Słowacki have been verified on the basis of scientific historical and archaeological research as well as the author's own observations in situ in Israel and her interviews with Franciscan archivists. As far as the extensive modern Polish literature on this journey concerns, the novelty here lies in identifying features in three of Slowacki's drawings and determining the places where the poet stayed in the Franciscan hospices in Ramla, Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Nazareth. Objective: The objective of the article is to empirically assess the benchmarks for the quick ratio (QR) commonly provided in the Polish literature. The article challenges the suggestion of a single benchmark despite a country’s and industry’s uniqueness. It concentrates on the Polish-German setting because of the intensive cooperation between the two countries. Research Design & Methods: Apart from reviewing and critiquing the existing literature, the article presents the results of empirical analysis. The research sample comprised 998 710 Polish firm-years and 1 579 619 German ones. Data was retrieved from the Orbis Database for going concern, non-financial firms from 2013 to 2022. Research methods comprised analyses of distributions, including descriptive statistics and histograms, parametric and nonparametric ANOVA, and trend analysis. Findings: The analysis shows that the benchmark for the quick ratio depends on the country, industry, period, and firm size. Standards should be drawn from quartiles instead of the arithmetic mean because of the high variability of QR. The range for QR is respectively wide. For Poland, it ranges from 0.6 (the first quartile) to 2.7 (the third quartile), with a median of 1.2 for the total sample. For Germany, it ranges from 0.7 (the first quartile) to 3.9 (the third quartile), with a median of 1.6. Benchmarks vary annually in Poland and Germany. Medians and third quartiles increase over time. They grow faster in Germany. There are substantial between-industry differences in both countries. The pattern of these differences is unique to a country. The size of the firm negatively influences the desired liquidity level in both countries. Implications & Recommendations: Because of substantive between-country, industry, period, and firm size differences in benchmarks, analysts and investors must be sensitive to the standards they use in assessing investment opportunities. A shock in the economy increases risk and, hence, benchmarks. Contribution & Value Added: The article’s main contribution is the empirical verification of benchmarks for the quick ratio provided in the Polish literature. Analysts should not trust theoretical concepts when looking for benchmarks. Purpose: The research aim of this article was to identify selected variables that affect the general level of economic development of the Visegrad Group countries. Design/methodology/approach: In the article were used qualitative and quantitative research methods. A review of Polish and foreign literature on the subject was carried out, and a desk research method was used based on public statistical data (Eurostat, OECD, The World Bank) covering the period 2017-2022. Statistical analysis was performed using stepwise linear regression (Stepwise method) to indicate the dependencies between variables. Findings: The article presents selected groups of factors that influence the level of economic development of the Visegrad Group countries. Analyzing the dependencies between selected groups of factors allowed for a better understanding of the dependencies between the variables. Originality/value: The article verified the impact of selected factors determining the economic development of the Visegrad Group countries using linear regression analysis. Purpose: The aim of the article is to present the key assumptions and the importance of creating the Competence Center at the Silesian University of Technology, which is to be an innovative partnership between science and industry in the area of security and crisis management. The article aims to draw attention to the need to change the approach to safety in industry and to open new opportunities for employers, academic staff and students by integrating the latest scientific achievements with industrial practice. Design/methodology/approach: The first method is the literature analysis: analysis of international literature from main databases and Polish literature and legal acts connecting with the researched topic. Moreover, the article presents a specific concept of the competence center that is being established at the Silesian University of Technology. Findings: The findings indicate that creating a Competence Center at the Silesian University of Technology can significantly enhance safety and crisis management in industry by integrating scientific advancements with industrial practices. The proposed structure and methods for the Center emphasize modern training programs, crisis simulations, and the use of advanced technologies like AI and data analysis to improve risk management. Purpose: Reducing the execution time of individual processes, or the execution of work by robots and cobots, affects the number of labor hours in the enterprise in production. The efficiency of the use of resources in production can be measured by the partial productivity index. Therefore, it was decided to address the topic of the impact of new technologies on productivity. Methodology: Analysis of international literature from main databases and Polish literature, critical analysis of the literature, and analysis of macroeconomic statistical data focused on gross domestic product, employment, and innovation activities of enterprises. Data for analysis are from OECD statistical databases and the Poland Central Statistical Office. Findings: An analysis of the literature on productivity and the impact of new technologies on its level showed that the most obvious is to study labor productivity. Some studies for national economies have shown just such a relationship. Taking this into account, the author of the publication undertook an analysis of the situation in Poland. A significant increase in innovation-active enterprises (especially in services) and a significant increase in the share of R&D spending were seen. The share of spending on innovation and new technologies is growing, with a steady increase in the productivity of the economy. Based on this, the conclusion is that investment especially in new technologies can help improve productivity levels. Research limitations: The analysis mainly concerns the research desk, the analysis of data for the Polish economy is based on data available in the databases of the Central Statistical Office and the OECD. Continued research on enterprises is advisable to be able to better study the productivity of enterprises. Purpose: The aim of this publication is to present the application of workflow modelling and patterns of activities in production company. Design/methodology/approach: Critical analysis of the literature. Analysis of international literature from major databases and Polish literature related to the topic under study. Findings: Workflow modelling involves transforming the actual work process into its schematic representation. The transformation process itself must be based on reliable and structured data, on the basis of which the stages of the work process are recorded at a specific level of detail. And examining employee patterns of activities in workflow systems is a key step in improving the safety and efficiency of work processes. Thanks to continuous monitoring of working conditions, it is possible to quickly respond to threats and eliminate non-compliance. This approach not only reduces occupational risks, but also increases the efficiency of the production process. Originality/value: Most research on workflow modelling is applied to information systems. What is new in this article is that the author discusses workflow modelling in production company. Campus novel, traditionally seen as a genre of English and American literature, has recently also gained attention in non-Anglophone literary traditions. The article focuses on campus fiction written in Slovak, Czech, Polish, and Ukrainian after 1989. It provides a brief introduction to the terminology and classification of the campus novel within the Anglo-American literary tradition, offering a perspective on Central European campus fiction through this lens. It traces its genre hybridity and the dominant genres with which it is associated, such as satire, social detective fiction, historical detective fiction, metafiction, biography, and the Bildungsroman. It also indicates the historical periods in which the genre is set and the traits of the professor as protagonist. While campus satire is a shared feature of Slovak, Czech, Polish, and Ukrainian literature in response to political change, each national literature emphasizes themes unique to its own literary and cultural traditions. These include the founding of Polish universities, identity and the reassessment of Ukrainian professors’ lives, the ironic treatment of the communist era in Czech and Slovak literature, and metafiction in Slovak literature.

Purpose: The aim of the article is to recognize the essence of cooperation between creative businesses and cultural institutions, which are increasingly improving their skills, looking for real opportunities for effective and competitive development in the cultural sector. This goal was complemented by the identification of examples of good practice in this research area. Design/methodology/approach: The methodology applied in the article refers to the methodological canon of management sciences, including, among others, the methodology of conceptual-theoretical research. On their basis, a critical analysis of foreign and Polish literature about management sciences was carried out. At the same time, the descriptive method and the comparative method were used to interpret and analysis the collected material. Findings: Relevant definitional approaches to creative businesses and modern cultural institutions are recognized. Types and forms of cooperation between these entities were identified. On this basis, it was shown that cooperation between cultural institutions and creative businesses, based on the presented good practices related to this, brings many benefits. This justifies the continuing need to analysis emerging approaches and types of cooperation. Research limitations/implications: Analyzing the subject of the research in the proposed methodological approach makes it possible to systematize knowledge in the field of cooperation between creative businesses and cultural institutions. Thus, it increases the recognition of the changes accompanying them, providing cultural institutions with the motivation to develop in line with the assumptions of the knowledge economy. Despite its potential, integration hurdles include organizational understanding gaps in Industry 4.0, necessitating education, collaboration, and pilot projects for smoother assimilation. Additionally, challenges in data integration require robust architectures, quality assurance measures, and advanced analytics to harness the full potential of the Kano model within Industry 4.0. The article focuses on Joseph Conrad's visit to Cracow in July 1914, capturing his reflections on Polish literature and his personal connections to it. Topics include the historical context of Conrad's return amidst impending war, the interview's overlooked significance and misattributions in its publication, and Conrad's expressions of admiration for Polish Romantic poets like Słowacki, revealing his deep literary roots and emotional ties to his homeland.

Adam Mickiewicz never wrote down A History of the Future. We only have a few remaining fragments of the poet's project. However, A History of the Future exerted a powerful and long-lasting influence on Polish culture. After a sketch of these fragmentary contents, drawn according to Pigoń and Skwarczyńska, the main aim of this paper is to highlight the importance of Mickiewicz's project in the history of Polish literature and culture. Stressed are some aspects of utopian and dystopian thought, as well as the interest of Mickiewicz and other Polish Romantics in scientific and technical achievements. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: The purpose of this publication is to present the applications of usage of business analytics in smart manufacturing. Design/methodology/approach: Critical literature analysis. Analysis of international literature from main databases and polish literature and legal acts connecting with researched topic. Findings: The integration of business analytics in smart manufacturing within the framework of Industry 4.0 marks a significant stride in industrial processes, offering manifold advantages alongside notable challenges. Throughout this study, we delve into the expansive realm of business analytics applications, encompassing predictive maintenance, quality control, supply chain optimization, and real-time decision-making. Leveraging business analytics yields palpable benefits in smart manufacturing, exemplified by proactive equipment maintenance, stringent quality standards adherence, and streamlined supply chain operations. Additionally, analytics-driven enhancements in production optimization, energy management, demand forecasting, and asset performance management contribute to heightened productivity, cost reduction, and sustainability improvement. Challenges including data integration complexities, implementation intricacies, security concerns, scalability limitations, model interpretability issues, and skill gaps necessitate concerted efforts for effective resolution. Collaboration among stakeholders—manufacturers, software developers, policymakers, and educational institutions—is imperative. Joint initiatives aimed at bolstering data integration capabilities, providing specialized training, fortifying cybersecurity measures, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement are crucial for successful business analytics deployment. Context is essential in virtually all human activities. Yet some logical notions seem to be context-free. For example, the nature of the universal quantifier, the very meaning of "all", seems to be independent of the context. At the same time, there are many quantifier expressions, and some are context-independent, while others are not. Similarly, purely logical consequence seems to be context-independent. Yet often we encounter strong inferences, good enough for practical purposes, but not valid. The two types of examples suggest a general problem: how to characterise the context-free logical concepts in their natural environment, that is, in the field of their context-dependent associates. A general Thesis on Quantifiers is formulated: among all quantifiers, the context-free ones are just those definable by the universal quantifier. The issue of inferences is treated following the approach introduced by Richard L. Epstein: valid ones are an extreme case, the result of the disappearance of context-dependence. This idea can be applied to an analysis of a form of abduction, called "reductive inference" in Polish literature on logic. The purpose of this paper is to present the history of translation of Polish non-fiction in mainland China from the 1980s to the present. The article divides the translations into three broad categories: anti-fascist literature, exemplified by Tadeusz Borowski and Zofia Nałkowska; reportages, represented by Ryszard Kapuściński; and biographies, diaries and correspondence of renowned Polish artists. The paper includes descriptions of the motives behind the publication of these translations, their reception and information about the translators. It notes that most of the Chinese translations of Polish non-fiction were produced under the influence of significant commemorative events or promotional activities organized by official cultural institutions of both countries. The literature of Polish Romanticism, which Marta Piwińska called “a Renaissance of Christianity”, from the beginning of its presence in China has had a contrastingly different reception from that of Polish readers. This article offers a reading of Adam Mickiewicz’s Zdania i uwagi. Z dzieł Jakuba Bema, Anioła Ślązaka (Angelus Silesus) i Sę-Martena [Sentences and Remarks. From the Works of Jakob Böhme, Angelus Silesius and Saint-Martin], conducted so as to open up a space for reflection on a set of questions that are crucial to cross-cultural studies: Will cultural differences always impede intercultural translations and, by the same token, the reception of works originating from one tradition by readers from another? Is it possible to find a platform that would allow for a dialogue between an author rooted – often in a dialogical way – in the Christian Romantic tradition on the one hand and a reader brought up in the Confucian culture on the other? The aim of this introductory survey article is to present the various ways in which Chineseness is dialogued with and exposed in Polish literature of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Another objective of this exploratory paper is to indicate the forms of presence and the ways and functions of absorbing Chinese themes, as well as to reflect on their functionality in different genres and discourses of that period. Following the findings and diagnoses of Bogdan Mazan (and other scholars focused on the second half of the 19th century), the author tries to indicate and bring closer slightly different areas of meaning than those investigated in research to date. He points to possibilities of interpreting traces of Chineseness in the literature of that period and in other texts determining important, albeit often marginal and not central, messages of the analysed works authored by Polish positivist and modernist writers. The article provides an overview of radio programs dedicated to Mediterranean archaeology broadcast on Polish Radio during the 1970s and 1980s. This analysis represents the first such endeavor in Polish literature and aligns with the public archaeology trend, which examines the political, cultural, and economic dimensions of archaeological practice and its societal reception. By exploring this category of sources, the text offers a historical perspective on radio broadcasts, presenting them as a novel and previously untapped resource for studying the history of archaeology. Drawing from these sources, the article discusses the dissemination of knowledge concerning the activities of Polish researchers, the media portrayal of the archaeological profession, and the unique phenomenon of the Polish School of Mediterranean Archaeology in the context of Polish scientific history. It delves into the distinctive features and historical background surrounding its establishment. Additionally, attention is given to Kazimierz Michałowski, the visionary behind this initiative, and the strategies he employed to promote public awareness of the research conducted within the Polish School of Mediterranean Archaeology. Jerzy Grotowski (1933-1999), who is considered to be one of the greatest theater artists of the 20th century, frequently expressed his ambivalent relation to words, repeating that any true knowledge has to be obtained by practice. However, all his life he created and published texts. The volume collecting them all in print runs to 1131 pages. Scholars interpreting his art (e.g. Krzysztof Rutkowski, Zbigniew Osiński) and his close collaborators, like Ludwik Flaszen, frequently times underlined the importance of Grotowski's writings, stressing a special function literature played in this artist's research. Following their recognitions, partly polemizing with them, one can formulate some basic assumptions concerning the character and functions of Grotowski's writing and its relation to the main aspects of contemporary literature. Background: Individuals particularly vulnerable to the development of mental disorders are alumni of foster care. A high prevalence of traumatic experiences is observed in the latter group. Exposure to multiple traumas increases the likelihood of developing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (cPTSD). The translation of the term "post-traumatic stress disorder" into Polish depends on the diagnostic classification applied. Aim: The aim of the review is to present the rates of PTSD and cPTSD in the population of children and adolescents in foster care and adult alumni of foster care. Method: The search for scientific literature in Polish and English was conducted in the databases MEDLINE, PsycINFO, PubMed and Scopus. Additionally, the review took into account results of search carried out using Google Scholar. Finally, 24 research reports published between January 2000 and February 2024 were identified using the terms: "PTSD", "cPTSD" and "foster care". Results: The prevalence of PTSD in children ranged from 5.6% to 55%, whereas cPTSD was estimated between 8.2% and 10.7%. PTSD rates in adult alumni of foster care ranged from 2% to 35.6%. Children in foster care who had experienced ≥2 traumatic events were more likely to meet criteria for PTSD and cPTSD than those who had been exposed to a single trauma. The severity of traumatic experiences is a factor that increases the likelihood of developing PTSD. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
