In the context of sustainable development and global challenges such as climate change and energy security, this paper conducts a bibliometric analysis of scientific journals on multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods with an emphasis on their applications in environmental and energy engineering. The study used the CiteSpace software program 6.2.R6 Advanced to analyze citation networks and identify key publications, authors, and research topics. The simulations carried out made it possible to identify the main research centers and patterns of international cooperation, pointing to the key countries and institutions involved in MCDM research. The results of the analysis reveal the research areas of greatest interest and the main directions for future research. These results can support scientists, researchers, and policymakers in making more informed and sustainable decisions, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Pollution of the environment by microplastics is a problem that is increasingly visible and worrisome, with tyre wear particles (TWPs) being considered, after several studies, as one of the major sources of microplastics. The aim of this paper is to present a review of the current knowledge on microplastics generated by road traffic, more specifically in TWPs. Generation and pathways depend on different factors like characteristics of the tyre and road or physical properties of the particles, among others. Currently, there are some studies on TWPs, both, carried out at the laboratory and under real scale conditions. So far, it has been possible to identify the presence of TWPs in samples, but their quantification involves time-consuming and expensive methods. The big knowledge gap is to find a standardised and practical method for sampling, detection and quantification, so more research on TWPs and their dispersion in the environment is needed. The assumption that vegetation improves air quality is prevalent in scientific, popular, and political discourse. However, experimental and modeling studies show the effect of green space on air pollutant concentrations in urban settings is highly variable and context specific. We revisited the link between vegetation and air quality using satellite-derived changes of urban green space and air pollutant concentrations from 2,615 established monitoring stations over Europe and the United States. Between 2010 and 2019, stations recorded declines in ambient NO2, (particulate matter) PM10, and PM2.5 (average of −3.14% y−1), but not O3 (+0.5% y−1), pointing to the general success of recent policy interventions to restrict anthropogenic emissions. The effect size of total green space on air pollution was weak and highly variable, particularly at the street scale (15 to 60 m radius) where vegetation can restrict ventilation. However, when isolating changes in tree cover, we found a negative association with air pollution at borough to city scales (120 to 16,000 m) particularly for O3 and PM. The effect of green space was smaller than the pollutant deposition and dispersion effects of meteorological drivers including precipitation, humidity, and wind speed. When averaged across spatial scales, a one SD increase in green space resulted in a 0.8% (95% CI: −3.5 to 2%) decline in air pollution. Our findings suggest that while urban greening may improve air quality at the borough-to-city scale, the impact is moderate and may have detrimental street-level effects depending on aerodynamic factors like vegetation type and urban form. The origin and transfer of La in the ecological environment and the pollution caused by La are summarized. The advantages and disadvantages of physical, chemical, biological and coupling technologies and other common govern methods are analyzed and compared by combining examples, and the research status of La pollution govern technology in water and soil environment is summarized. On the issue of compound pollution and sustainable development, it is proposed that the future research direction should take into account economic and environmental benefits and combine the advantages of existing technologies to optimize the govern of La pollution. In order to provide research ideas for La pollution, the article makes a prospect for the development direction of La pollution govern through the research defects and theoretical demand in practical projects. Today's necessity is to achieve a sustainable environment. But, over the past three decades, various research articles reported the presence of new compounds in aquatic environment as well as in wastewater effluents, called 'Emerging Pollutants'. Although such materials are widespread in water effluents, their toxicity and impacts on both human health and the ecosystems are poorly understood since there are no regulatory data for those contaminants. However, ever increasing of the socio-economic awareness and scientific information, scientists have become more concern for the Emerging Pollutants (EPs), widespread and their distribution in the environment. Their successful control represents the primary challenge to the industrial sector and academia. Therefore, developing technological advancement in eco-friendly environmental wastewater treatment strategies is a must. This drive the multi-disciplinary blend of chemical science, environmental engineering and industry to realise this concern from both an operational and public health standpoint. The boom of Fenton or Fenton-type modified reactions offers potential opportunities for innovative remediation techniques. The aim of this review is to update and contribute the recent developments to overcome the Fenton reaction obstacles such as acidic environment, ferric sludge production and reagent's cost that limits its application for better frameworks. Based on the theory of innovation ecosystems (IEs) and the literature on environmental management controls (EMCs), this study examines the effects of green innovation ecosystems (GIEs), EMCs, and digitalization on the water performance of firms in the food service industry (FSI). In this context, the moderating role of technology sensing/response (TSR) is explored. Surveying 245 managers in large Brazilian restaurants, the hypotheses are tested through partial least squares structural equation modeling. The findings reveal that the GIE positively influences digitalization and the use of both diagnostic and interactive EMCs. Additionally, the results demonstrate not only that interactive EMCs improve water performance but also that a high level of TSR increases the impact of diagnostic EMCs on water performance. This study therefore advances the literature by illustrating how cooperation between FSI firms and multiagents provides competences and resources that facilitate the implementation of digital tools and EMCs to achieve sustainability outcomes. Purpose: This paper aims to address a pollution-routing problem with one general period of congestion (PRP-1GPC), where the start and finish times of this period can be set freely. Design/methodology/approach: In this paper, three sets of decision variables are optimized, namely, travel speeds before and after congestion and departure times on given routes, aiming to minimize total cost including green-house gas emissions, fuel consumption and driver wages. A two-phase algorithm is introduced to solve this problem. First, an adaptive large neighborhood search heuristic is used where new removal and insertion operators are developed. Second, an analysis of optimal speed before congestion is presented, and a tailored speed-and-departure-time optimization algorithm considering congestion is proposed by obtaining the best node to be served first over the congested period. Findings: The results show that the newly developed operator of congested service-time insertion with noise is generally used more than other insertion operators. Besides, compared to the baseline methods, the proposed algorithm equipped with the new operators provides better solutions in a short time both in PRP-1GPC instances and time-dependent pollution-routing problem instances. Originality/value: This paper considers a more general situation of the pollution-routing problem that allows drivers to depart before the congestion. The PRP-1GPC is better solved by the proposed algorithm, which adds operators specifically designed from the new perspective of the traveling distance, traveling time and service time during the congestion period.
