Human tragedy could be summed up a single word—death. One first encounters it through the death of others, and then everyone faces it for themselves. The Christian faith confronts humanity’s final foe head on, delivering sustained hope amidst the sorrow and despair of impending death. This paper will first address the central role of the resurrection of the dead in First Corinthians. Second, the paper will present Paul’s retort to several challenges raised against the notion of the resurrection. Finally, the paper will attempt to systematize the means by which Paul proves the resurrection of the dead.

Introduction. Celiac disease (CD) is a chronic autoimmune disorder triggered by gluten ingestion in genetically predisposed individuals, presenting with a diverse range of symptoms that extend beyond the gastrointestinal tract. The condition’s systemic nature is evidenced by its extra-digestive manifestations, which can affect various organs including the skin, joints, liver, and nervous system. Methods. This descriptive, retrospective study was conducted at a tertiary care center, focusing on adult patients diagnosed with CD who exhibited extra-digestive symptoms. Data were extracted from medical records of patients admitted between January 1, 2010 and June 30, 2024. Variables included demographic information, primary diagnosis, and associated extra-digestive manifestations. Descriptive statistical methods were employed for data analysis. Results. The sample included 108 patients with CD, the mean age was 43.21 years, with a predominance of females (76.85%). Iron deficiency anemia was the most common extra-digestive manifestation, affecting 20.37% of patients, followed by hypoproteinemia (18.52%) and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis (14.81%). Cooccurrence analysis revealed frequent combinations of conditions, such as anemia with cardiovascular diseases and depressive disorders. Notable associations with neurological conditions like gluten ataxia and peripheral neuropathy were also observed. Conclusion. This study highlights the extensive extra-digestive manifestations of celiac disease, underscoring its systemic impact. The high prevalence of autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and rheumatoid polyarthritis among CD patients reflects the need for holistic management strategies. Discrepancies between our findings and existing literature, particularly regarding skin and neurological conditions, emphasize the need for further research to better understand these associations and the long-term effects of a gluten-free diet. Currently, gold nanoparticles (GNPs) are considered an ideal delivery system due to their physiological stability, high bioactivity, and controlled release of biological component. Our primary objective was to comprehend the behavior of gold nanoparticles obtained with specific natural compounds in the gastrointestinal tract. We investigated the conduct of GNPs synthesized with natural compounds from Cornus mas L. (GNPsCM) or Sambucus nigra (GNPs-E) fruits, during the oral, gastric, and intestinal phases of the in vitro simulated gastrointestinal digestion. Additionally, we assessed their antioxidant capacity, phenolic content, and their potential to mitigate damages caused by nitro-oxidative stress after each phase of in vitro digestion. Results indicated that both GNPs-CM and GNPs-E maintained stability throughout simulated digestion, with some observed differences between them. Upon measuring antioxidant capacity, the GNPs-CM exhibited the lowest percentage of inhibition from hydrogen donor measurements (12.08%) after the simulated intestinal phase. Conversely, the GNPs-E displayed the highest inhibition percentage (65.3%) after the simulated oral phase. Concerning phenolic content, GNPs-CM showed a polyphenol content of 39.53 mg of gallic acid equivalents (GAE)/L, decreasing during gastrointestinal phases. Introduction. Studies regarding antibiotics administration during pregnancy and atopic dermatitis (AD) in children are only few. In this context, the objective of our study was to investigate the potential association between the timing of intrauterine exposure to antibiotics or prenatal antibiotic administration in general and AD occurrence in children.

One of the most difficult issues that Jesus' contemporaries had to deal with was the question about his identity. In the context of a fierce monotheism, highlighted by the effects of the Babylonian exile, which definitely eliminated idolatry from Israel, a man's claim to possess divine nature would have been outrageous from the onset. However, one's response to the challenge of recognising Jesus' identity depends on whether he or she belongs to those who accept the Kingdom of Christ or those who reject it. In this paper we propose an analysis of Mark 8.27-30 in order to see just how Mark constructs the debate over Jesus' identity. From a methodological point of view, we will present some general aspects regarding the challenges raised by this text, therefore we will refer to the available Romanian translation, with its rendition of Mark's insights on said identity. The text's exegetical aspects, its key phrases, structural elements and the context of the events, together with the comparison between the affirmation of Jesus' identity in Mark and the other gospels, will underline the process that rounds up the identity debates in Mark's gospel. This paper presents the work of Christ for the redemption of all creation, noticing how God made our salvation possible. In order to achieve this goal, we will look at the analogy between Adam (the old creation) and Christ (the new creation). This typological relationship outlines the principle of representation in Romans 5:12-21. From a methodological point of view, we propose to approach the Epistle to the Romans 5:12-21 and analyze the pattern it unfolds. Our working method involves three components. Firstly, we will deal with the framing and structure of this text studied in the broader context of the book; secondly, we will outline some exegetical aspects regarding the text; and finally, we will present the application of the theme highlighted by the text.
