Search

High School Integrated to Professional Education aims to bring scientific knowledge closer to cultural and social knowledge, and from the working world, allowing the student not only to study basic and professional education at the same time, but also to have a defragmented education. In this context, the teaching of Physics integrated to the technical training area stands out. Based on the delimited theme, we present the research problem: What are the implications of the pedagogical intervention process from the implementation of Potentially Meaningful Teaching Units (PMTU) articulated with a methodology of Experiential Learning Projects (ELP), for the progressive mastery of the conceptual fields of Hydrostatics and Hydrodynamics, in a perspective contextualized to the technical course in Agricultural Science integrated to high school? What are the potentials and limitatios of this methodological proposal to promote curriculum integration, linking the knowledge of Physics with the technical area of Agriculture? In the search for answers to the questions, through a descriptive exploratory research, characterized as a case study, our goal was to investigate, in the process of implementing the instructional material, evidences of significant learning and the operative invariants explicitly mobilized by students in action-situations in the context of the technical Agriculture field, for the progressive mastery of the conceptual fields of Hydrostatics and Hydrodynamics, and the potentialities of this process to foster integration in the context of integrated high school education. We investigated 2nd year students of the technical course in Agriculture integrated to high school, of the IFRS Ibirubá campus. The research is based on the conceptions of integrated high school and on the cognitivist of teaching and learning theories, from Vergnaud's Theory of Conceptual Fields (TCF) and Ausubel's Meaningful Learning (TML). The results analyzed qualitatively, according to the steps of an ausubelian approach, showed that the stages of teaching organized according to the PMTU articulated with the ELP, promoted a gradual understanding of the new concepts from the identified prior conceptions. In the light of TCF we identified, from the ELP, the operative invariants mobilized and explained by the students in action-situations applied to the context of the technical area. Overall, there was evidence of significant learning in relation to the concepts and theorems developed. As a value assertion of this research, we list the possibility of dissemination and adaptation of the produced material for teaching Physics; the discussions and reflections on the teaching-learning processes and; in the perspective of integrated high school, we highlight the potential of the proposal, to promote the integration of physical concepts contextualized with the Agriculture field. A modalidade Ensino Médio Integrado a Educação Profissional tem o intuito de aproximar o conhecimento científico dos conhecimentos culturais, sociais e do mundo do trabalho, permitindo ao aluno, não somente cursar a formação básica e a profissional ao mesmo tempo, mas também ter sua educação desfragmentada. Nesse contexto destaca-se o ensino de Física integrado à área de formação técnica. A partir da temática delimitada apresentamos o problema de pesquisa: Quais as implicações do processo de intervenção pedagógica a partir da implementação de Unidades de Ensino Potencialmente Significativas (UEPS) articuladas com uma metodologia de Projetos Experimentais de Aprendizagem (PEA), para o domínio progressivo dos campos conceituais da Hidrostática e da Hidrodinâmica, numa perspectiva contextualizada ao curso técnico em Agropecuária integrado ao ensino médio? Quais as potencialidades e limitações dessa proposta metodológica para fomentar a integração curricular, vinculando os conhecimentos da Física com a área técnica da Agropecuária? Na busca pelas respostas às perguntas, através de uma pesquisa exploratória descritiva, caracterizada como um estudo de caso, nosso objetivo foi investigar, no processo de implementação do material instrucional, evidências de aprendizagem significativa e os invariantes operatórios mobilizados de forma explícita pelos alunos em situação-ação do contexto da área técnica da Agropecuária, para o domínio progressivo dos campos conceituais da Hidrostática e da Hidrodinâmica e as potencialidades desse processo para fomentar a integração no contexto do ensino médio integrado. Foram investigados alunos do 2º ano do curso técnico em Agropecuária integrado ao ensino médio, do campus Ibirubá, do IFRS. A pesquisa apresenta sua fundamentação nas concepções de ensino médio integrado e nas teorias cognitivistas de ensino e aprendizagem, dos Campos Conceituais (TCC) de Vergnaud e da Aprendizagem Significativa (TAS) de Ausubel. Os resultados analisados qualitativamente, de acordo com etapas de uma abordagem ausubeliana, mostraram que as etapas de ensino organizadas de acordo com as UEPS articuladas com os PEA, promoveram uma compreensão gradativa dos novos conceitos a partir das concepções prévias identificadas. À luz da TCC identificamos, a partir dos PEA, os invariantes operatórios mobilizados e explicitados pelos alunos em situação-ação aplicados ao contexto da área técnica. De forma geral, foram evidenciados indícios de aprendizagem significativa em relação aos conceitos e teoremas desenvolvidos. Como asserção de valor dessa pesquisa, elencamos as possibilidade de disseminação e adaptação do material produzido para o ensino de Física; as discussões e reflexões sobre os processos de ensino-aprendizagem e; na perspectiva do ensino médio integrado, destacamos as potencialidades da proposta, para fomentar a integração de conceitos físicos contextualizados com a área da Agropecuária.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES In this study, we propose and discuss the possibility of teaching Modern and Contemporary Physics (MCP) through a Potentially Meaningful Teaching Unit (PMTU), developed with the objective of aiding Physics teachers at state-level high schools in Uruguaiana, Rio Grande do Sul State, to overcome some of the difficulties and challenges they face in working with this subject matter in the classroom. This research is qualitative in nature with a focus on content analysis. It is theoretically grounded in the Meaningful Learning framework and in specific frames that regard MCP teaching at the high school level. This study contains three phases: a literature review, comprising journals and Teaching Physics and/or Science events; the elaboration of a research questionnaire and its administration to Physics teachers in the municipality; and the proposal of a PMTU. The objective of the literature review was to bring elements to support the elaboration of the questionnaire, the instrument chosen for collecting data for this research. Once the questionnaire had been administered, it was possible to map the difficulties and challenges brought by the teachers, as well as the themes of interest. Having cross-referenced the results from the questionnaire with those from the literature review, a PMTU proposal was structured for Radioactivity, the theme that presented the highest interest among the participating teachers. This didactic resource brings together elements that carry the potential for aiding teachers in working out this theme in the classroom. It presents a sequence of steps that are interdependent, interactive, and diversified from a methodological vantage point. Moreover, it was elaborated to attend to specific demands of the teachers who participated in this research, especially regarding: a lack of didactic resources for teaching topics in MCP; a deficiency in their initial training; and how to relate these topics to the day-to-day of the students. The value behind this study is anchored in the fact that it was thought out and structured in the local context of the research, which gives it originality and highlights a possible alternative for the teaching of MCP. No presente trabalho propomos e discutimos a possibilidade de ensino de Física Moderna e Contemporânea (FMC), a partir de uma Unidade de Ensino Potencialmente Significativa (UEPS) desenvolvida com o objetivo de auxiliar professores de Física das escolas estaduais de Ensino Médio de Uruguaiana-RS a superar algumas das dificuldades e desafios enfrentados por eles ao trabalhar com essa temática em sala de aula. Essa pesquisa caracteriza-se como qualitativa com enfoque na análise do conteúdo e é fundamentada teoricamente a partir do referencial da Aprendizagem Significativa e referenciais específicos relacionados ao ensino de FMC no nível médio. A compreensão deste trabalho é dada a partir de três etapas: revisão da literatura, feita em alguns periódicos e eventos de Ensino de Física e/ou Ciências, a elaboração e aplicação de um questionário de pesquisa aos professores de Física do município, e a proposição da UEPS. A etapa de revisão da literatura teve por objetivo trazer elementos para subsidiar o processo de elaboração do questionário, instrumento utilizado para a coleta dos dados dessa pesquisa. A partir disso, esse instrumento foi aplicado aos professores, possibilitando mapear as dificuldades e desafios por eles apresentados, bem como seus temas de interesse. A partir do cruzamento com os resultados obtidos durante a revisão da literatura, foi estruturada uma proposta de UEPS a partir do tema: Radioatividade, tema de maior interesse por parte dos professores investigados. Esse recurso didático reúne características com potencial para auxiliar os professores com a abordagem dessa temática em sala de aula, uma vez que apresenta uma sequência de passos interdependentes, interativos e diversificados do ponto de vista metodológico, além de ser pensado visando atender as demandas específicas dos professores participantes desta pesquisa, principalmente no que diz respeito a: falta de recursos didáticos para trabalhar com tópicos de FMC, deficiência em sua formação inicial e dificuldade em relacionar esses tópicos com o dia-a-dia dos estudantes. A asserção de valor dessa pesquisa está ancorada ao fato dela ser pensada e estruturada junto ao contexto local de onde a mesma foi desenvolvida, o que lhe confere um caráter de ineditismo e aponta como uma alternativa possível para o ensino de FMC.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES This investigation presents the results obtained from the elaborating and implementing of a Potentially Meaningful Teaching Unit (PMTU) on the concepts of Acoustics. The following research is based on David Ausubel’s Meaningful Learning Theory and Marco Antônio Moreira’s Critic Meaningful Learning Theory theoretical references, and attempted to answer to the following question: in what way does the implementing of PMTU favors the meaningful learning of Acoustics’ concepts by sophomore students from a public High School in Santa Maria/RS? In order to do so, we used, as instruments of data collection, surveys for the identification of students’ previous knowledges by sophomore students from a public High School about the concepts related to sound, introductory-level surveys about the same concepts, building of musical devices, mind and conceptual maps, as well as the individual summative evaluation done in the end of the PMTU’s activities, which were implemented in October and November, 2019. The analysis of the instruments was done in a qualitative approach and demonstrated that students presented significative conceptual evolution about sound waves’ content during the activities. Therefore, it is possible to confirm that the utilization of PMTU eased students’ meaningful learning, as it allowed them to improve/change their initial understandings, besides showing itself as an important pedagogic strategy, which can be an incentive for its more frequent use. Esta investigação apresenta os resultados obtidos a partir da elaboração e implementação de uma Unidade de Ensino Potencialmente Significativa (UEPS) sobre os conceitos de Acústica. A presente pesquisa está fundamentada nos referenciais teóricos da Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa de David Ausubel e da Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa Crítica de Marco Antônio Moreira e procurou responder a seguinte questão de pesquisa: De que forma a implementação de UEPS favorece a aprendizagem significativa de conceitos de Acústica de estudantes do segundo ano do Ensino Médio de uma escola pública da cidade de Santa Maria/RS? Para tanto, utilizamos como instrumentos de coleta de dados questionários para identificação dos conhecimentos prévios dos estudantes do segundo ano do Ensino Médio sobre os conceitos associados ao som, questionários em nível introdutório a respeito dos mesmos conceitos, construção de aparatos musicais, mapas mentais e conceituais, assim como a avaliação somativa individual realizada ao final das atividades da UEPS, as quais foram implementadas nos meses de outubro e novembro de 2019. A análise dos instrumentos se deu numa abordagem qualitativa e evidenciou que os estudantes apresentaram avanços conceituais significativos sobre o conteúdo de ondas sonoras no decorrer das atividades. Sendo assim, é possível afirmar que a utilização de UEPS facilitou a aprendizagem significativa dos estudantes, pois permitiu que aperfeiçoassem/modificassem suas concepções iniciais, além de se mostrar como uma importante estratégia didática que pode servir de incentivo para sua mais frequente utilização.

This paper presents a research about the construction and implementation of Potentially Meaningful Teaching Units (PMTU) and their contributions for meaningful learning of electrodynamics concepts. The research is based on the Meaningful Learning of David Ausubel and Critical Meaningful Learning of Marco Antonio Moreira. In this sense, it is seeked to understand in which way the PMTU conttribute at meaningful learning these concepts on students of a third year of a Santa Maria´s/RS public high school. To the development of this paper, it were elaborated three PMTU, in which it has been tried to cotemplate diversified activities and related to the students routine. In the first PMTU, the concepts of voltage and electric current, electrical resistance and the Ohm´s law were approached. On the second, it has been approached the concepts of electric power and eletric energy, and so its own transformations. In the third PMTU, the concepts related with the operation of eletric circuits were presented. These three Teaching Units were implemented from Setember to November of 2018 in two classes of the third year. The main objective of this research was to identify how the aplication of PMTU can help in the Meaningful Teaching of presented subject concepts. To reach the objective, we used the following gathering data instruments: interview to identify the student`s previous knowledge, a quiz to seek some indications of Meaningful Teaching and concept maps built by the students in their first PMTU and by the end of the implemented activities. To do that we used the contente analysis, according to Bardin (2011), which is characterized as a set of communication analysis techniques. By doing this analysys, we reached indications of Meaningful Teaching of the main concepts envolved. Este trabalho apresenta uma pesquisa a respeito da construção e implementação de Unidades de Ensino Potencialmente Significativas (UEPS) e suas contribuições para aprendizagem significativa de conceitos de Eletrodinâmica. A pesquisa está fundamentada na Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa de David Ausubel e Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa Crítica de Marco Antonio Moreira. Nesse contexto, procura-se compreender de que forma as UEPS contribuem na aprendizagem significativa desses conceitos de estudantes do terceiro ano do ensino médio de uma escola pública da cidade de Santa Maria/RS. Para o desenvolvimento do trabalho foram elaboradas três UEPS buscando contemplar atividades diversificadas e relacionadas com o cotidiano dos alunos. Na primeira UEPS, os conceitos de tensão, corrente, resistência e lei de ohm foram abordados. Na segunda, abordou-se os conceitos de potência e energia elétrica bem como suas transformações. Na terceira UEPS os conceitos relacionados ao funcionamento de circuitos elétricos foram apresentados. Essas três Unidades de Ensino foram implementados de setembro a novembro de 2018 em duas turmas do terceiro ano. O objetivo principal dessa pesquisa foi identificar e analisar como a aplicação de UEPS contribui na aprendizagem significativa dos conceitos apresentados. A fim de alcançar o objetivo proposto, utilizamos os seguintes instrumentos de análise dos dados: entrevista para identificar os conhecimentos prévios dos alunos, questionário para busca de indícios de aprendizagem significativa e mapas conceituais construídos pelos alunos na primeira UEPS e ao final das atividades implementadas. Para tanto, utilizamos a análise de conteúdo, de acordo com Bardin (2011), no qual se caracteriza como um “conjunto de técnicas de análises das comunicações”. A partir da análise, obtivemos como resultados indícios de aprendizagem significativa dos principais conceitos envolvidos.

Não recebi financiamento The student learning obtained by memorizing the information transmitted by the teacher's narrative, for further reproduction in the assessment, shows that the classic way of teaching, leads to a mechanical and not significant learning. The proposal of this study is to report the development and application of a Potentially Meaningful Teaching Unit (PMTU) proposed by Moreira, based on the Theory of Meaningful Learning of Ausubel. The proposal was drawn up using the PMTU steps in which, at first the survey of students' prior knowledge about the theme vectors was performed through the collective construction of a conceptual map and then the content of vectors was presented more generally through problem- situations. From that on, each vector operation was addressed more specifically, aiming the progressive differentiation and the integrative reconciliation. The students' performance was accomplished through their active participation and motivation in solving the problem-situations, in class debates, in the construction of maps, in simulations and video productions, that is with the use of The Information and Communication New Technologies of (ICNT). The concepts that were discussed and presented in accordance with the steps of PMTU: scalar greatness, vector greatness, trigonometric relationships in the triangle rectangle, vector addition by the polygon, the parallelogram and components methods, scalar product (real number) by one vector, scalar product and vector product of two vectors. The use of this sequence showed the evidence of occurrence of significant learning by the students and, therefore, many of the difficulties of high school students understanding have been overcome, since they are now familiar with the determination of some physical greatness, through operations with vectors presented in analytical geometry. A aprendizagem do aluno obtida somente através da memorização das informações transmitidas pela narrativa do professor, para posterior reprodução na avaliação, mostra que a maneira clássica de ensinar, leva a uma aprendizagem mecânica e não significativa. A proposta deste trabalho é relatar o desenvolvimento e a aplicação de uma Unidade de Ensino Potencialmente Significativa (UEPS) proposta por Moreira, baseada na Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa de Ausubel. A mesma foi elaborada seguindo os passos da UEPS onde, num primeiro momento fez-se o levantamento dos conhecimentos prévios dos alunos acerca do tema vetores através da construção de um mapa mental e, em seguida foi apresentado o conteúdo de vetores de forma mais geral, através de situações-problemas. A partir daí, cada operação com vetores foi abordada de maneira mais específica, visando à diferenciação progressiva e à reconciliação integradora. O desempenho dos alunos se deu pela participação ativa e motivação dos mesmos nas resoluções das situações-problemas, nos debates em sala, nas construções de mapas, nas simulações e na produção de vídeo, ou seja, no uso das Novas Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (NTIC). Os conceitos que foram abordados e apresentados de acordo com os passos da UEPS: grandeza escalar, grandeza vetorial, relações trigonométricas no triângulo retângulo, adição vetorial pelos métodos do polígono, do paralelogramo e das componentes, produto de escalar (número real) por um vetor, produto escalar e produto vetorial de dois vetores. A utilização dessa sequência apontou evidências da ocorrência de aprendizagem significativa por parte dos alunos e, com isso, muitas das dificuldades de compreensão dos alunos do Ensino Médio foram superadas, uma vez que agora estão familiarizados com a determinação de algumas grandezas físicas, através de operações com vetores, apresentadas na Geometria Analítica.

Learning difficulties in apprehending concepts of temperature and heat can be regarded as problems faced by teachers in various teaching levels. Even though learning is an activity proper to learners, a teacher can help her⁄his students, to grasp meanings but also learn through her⁄his teaching approach. Thus, teaching should make use of diversified well-planned strategies so that the teaching-learning process is enhanced. The present study has, as its main objective, the development of a classroom didactics strategy that may help a teacher build thermodynamics concepts of heat and temperature with her⁄his learners. It consists in the planning, presentation ⁄production and evaluation of two potentially meaningful teaching units (PMTU). Firstly, learners‟ previous knowledge was assessed; secondly, the specific content was presented on a general basis; thirdly, each topic was developed more specifically so that a progressive differentiation was achieved followed by an integrative reconciliation. PMTUs are didactic sequences couched on several learning theories, mainly Meaningful Learning, which is the main theoretical support of the present study. The project was applied in an 11th grade group in a Senior State High School in the city of Santa Maria/RS. The first PMTU, applied at the end of the second quarter, dealt with the principal concept of temperature, and the second PMTU, applied in the third quarter, had the concept of heat as its focus. The collected data of this research showed that PMTUs can enhance meaningful learning; however, they demand, in their planning and consequent teaching (implementation), not only a thoroughly structured planning but also teaching management on the part of the teacher since activities should be developed according to learners‟ conceptual evolution. Analyses elaborated based on obtained results through employed activities in the two PMTUs showed that meaningful learning was achieved. A dificuldade na aprendizagem de conceitos de temperatura e calor é um problema enfrentado por professores em vários níveis de ensino. Embora a aprendizagem seja uma atividade própria dos alunos, o professor pode facilitar- lhes a captação dos significados e aprender através do ensino que pratica. Dessa forma o ensino deve fornecer estratégias diversificadas e bem planejadas de modo a favorecer o processo de ensino/aprendizagem. Este trabalho tem como objetivo desenvolver uma estratégia didática desenvolvida em sala de aula que auxilie o professor a construir com seus alunos os conceitos termodinâmicos de calor e temperatura. Consiste na elaboração, aplicação e avaliação de duas Unidades de Ensino Potencialmente Significativas- UEPS. Em um primeiro momento, foi feito o levantamento do conhecimento prévio dos alunos e, em seguida, foi apresentado o conteúdo de uma forma mais geral passando-se à abordagem de cada assunto de forma mais específica visando à diferenciação progressiva e, após, a reconciliação integrativa. As UEPS são sequências didáticas fundamentadas em diversas teorias de aprendizagem, principalmente a Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa, que é o referencial teórico principal deste trabalho. A proposta foi implementada em uma turma de segundo ano do Ensino Médio em uma escola estadual da cidade de Santa Maria/RS. A primeira UEPS, aplicada ao final do segundo trimestre, aborda como conceito principal temperatura e a segunda UEPS, aplicada no terceiro trimestre, teve como enfoque principal o conceito de calor. Essa pesquisa evidenciou que as UEPS podem propiciar a aprendizagem significativa, porém necessitam de uma estruturação e preparo do professor na sua elaboração e implementação, visto que as atividades são desenvolvidas de forma a acompanhar a evolução conceitual dos alunos. As análises feitas dos resultados obtidos através dos instrumentos utilizados nas duas UEPS demonstraram indícios de aprendizagem significativa.

Fundação de Amparo a Pesquisa no Estado do Rio Grande do Sul It is presented in this work a study about the inclusion of topics of physics of particles integrated to the traditionally subjects studied on high school. It is also presented a proposal of how these contents can be used, and the contribution of this practice on the occurrence of a meaningful learning. The survey consists in the development, implementation and evaluation of two Potentially Meaningful Teaching Units - PMTU, which are didactic sequences grounded in theories of learning that foster students to meaningful learning. The survey was implemented in a third grade high school class in a State School of Santa Maria, RS. In the first PMTU, developed in the second quarter of 2013, it was addressed concepts of elementary particle and electricity. Didactic sequences that began with the study of atomic models integrating the topics of elementary particles, electrical charge, quantization and electrification processes were applied. In the second PMTU, applied in the third quarter of 2013, the focus approached had as premise to study the Fundamental Interactions from the idea on field, integrating them to the contents of electric and magnetic fields. Such integration aims to stimulate interest on topics related to Modern and Contemporary Physics, which are related to students daily life. It was developed through the PMTU activities aiming to promote meaningful learning and knowledge construction in the classroom, since elements involved are complex, which makes their integration a challenge for the high school teacher, resulting in changes in their teaching practices. The research showed that the inclusion of topics of physics of integrated particles into the contents of electricity and magnetism, through potentially meaningful teaching units, showed satisfactory results in student learning, results verified by qualitative assessment of the activities undertaken during the year. The analysis of the results obtained with the conceptual maps and questionnaires answered in the first PMTU showed signs of meaningful learning. Apresentamos, neste trabalho, uma pesquisa que trata da inserção de tópicos de Física de Partículas integradas aos conteúdos tradicionalmente estudados no Ensino Médio. Também uma proposta de como esses conteúdos podem ser trabalhados, e sobre a contribuição dessa prática na ocorrência de uma aprendizagem significativa. A pesquisa consiste na elaboração, aplicação e avaliação de duas Unidades de Ensino Potencialmente Significativas UEPS, que são sequências didáticas fundamentadas em teorias de aprendizagens que favorecem a aprendizagem significativa dos alunos. A pesquisa foi implementada em uma turma de terceiro ano do Ensino Médio de uma Escola Estadual de Santa Maria, RS. Na primeira UEPS, desenvolvida no segundo trimestre de 2013, abordaram conceitos de partícula elementar e eletricidade. Foram aplicadas sequências didáticas que iniciaram com o estudo dos modelos atômicos integrando os tópicos de partículas elementares, carga elétrica, quantização e processos de eletrização. Na segunda UEPS, aplicada no terceiro trimestre de 2013, o enfoque abordado teve como premissa estudar as interações fundamentais a partir da ideia de campo, integrado-as aos conteúdos de campo elétrico e campo magnético. Tal inserção objetivou estimular o interesse sobre temas referentes à Física Moderna e Contemporânea, que têm relação com o cotidiano dos alunos. Desenvolvemos, através das UEPS, atividades visando promover a aprendizagem significativa e a construção do conhecimento em sala de aula, pois os conteúdos envolvidos são complexos, o que torna sua inserção um desafio para o professor do Ensino Médio, implicando em mudanças nas suas práticas pedagógicas. A pesquisa evidenciou que a inclusão dos tópicos de Física de Partículas integradas aos conteúdos de eletricidade e magnetismo, através de Unidades de Ensino Potencialmente Significativas, trouxe resultados satisfatórios na aprendizagem dos estudantes, estes verificados através da avaliação qualitativa das atividades desenvolvidas durante o ano. A análise feita dos resultados obtidos com os mapas conceituais e os questionários respondidos na primeira UEPS demonstrou indícios de aprendizagem significativa.

Esta dissertação é o relato da aplicação de quatro Unidades de Ensino Potencialmente Significativas (UEPS) voltadas ao ensino de conceitos de Termodinâmica em uma escola pública de Ensino Médio. Nas unidades de ensino são abordados conceitos de temperatura, sua relação com a estrutura da matéria, dilatação, energia interna, calor, comportamento dos gases e a Primeira Lei da Termodinâmica, enfatizando especialmente as relações entre estes conceitos. As situações-problema abordadas são contextualizadas no dia-a-dia do estudante, com situações e perguntas instigantes e cativantes para o estudo do conteúdo proposto. Nesta aplicação, são utilizadas estratégias didáticas como a utilização de simulações interativas pertinentes aos conceitos desenvolvidos, aulas expositivo-dialogadas, resolução de exercícios, realização de avaliações, construção e apresentação de mapas conceituais. Como embasamento teórico, são utilizadas a Teoria da Aprendizagem Significativa de Ausubel e a Teoria dos Campos Conceituais de Vergnaud. This dissertation is an account of the application of four Potentially Meaningful Teaching Units (PMTU) focused on the teaching of concepts of thermodynamics in a public high school. In the teaching units are approached the concepts of temperature and its relationship with the material structure, expansion, internal energy, heat, behavior of gases and the First Law of Thermodynamics, especially addressing the relationships between these concepts. Problem situations discussed are contextualized in the daily life of the student with situations and questions exciting and captivating for the proposed content study. In this application, didactic strategies such interactive simulations, relevant to the developed concepts, dialogued lectures, problem solving, learning evaluations, construction and presentations of concept maps are carried out. As theoretical basis, are used the Theory of Meaningful Learning of Ausubel and the Theory of Conceptual Fields of Vergnaud.
