International audience; L’inventaire national du patrimoine géologique (INPG) a été lancé en France en 2007 et a pour objectif de recenser « les richesses géologiques, minéralogiques et paléontologiques ». Une originalité de l’inventaire français comparé à ceux d’autres pays est qu’il a été prévu dès l’origine d’y inclure le patrimoine géologique ex situ, c’est-à-dire, les objets du patrimoine géologique qui sont conservés en dehors de leur contexte naturel. Cela peut concerner des collections publiques ou privées, des musées et autres structures de conservation. De même, dans chaque site in situ de l’inventaire, il est possible de renseigner les collections nationales où l’on peut trouver du matériel relatif aux sites inventoriés.Ce type d’approche est rare, voire inédit, dans les autres inventaires du patrimoine naturel puisque ces derniers sont dédiés à la connaissance, la gestion ou la protection de la nature vivante. Pour les objets géologiques in situ, le recensement du patrimoine conservé en collection, des musées et lieux de diffusion de la culture scientifique géologique est pertinent dans la mesure où les sites s’ils sont détruits, inaccessibles ou épuisés de leurs ressources (minéraux, fossiles, roches) sont perdus à jamais. L’INPG compte actuellement 3500 sites validés sur tout le territoire métropolitain et ultra marin. Les fiches des sites naturels renseignent de manière très inégale et hétérogène les collections liées au site, les collections paléontologiques étant majoritairement celles qui sont mentionnées. Au total, 65 fiches concernent des collections et Musées et près de 90 autres sites sont en cours de rédaction. La région Auvergne Rhône-Alpes a récemment engagé un travail d’inventaire de ses sites muséographiques et a stimulé une réflexion autour de la méthodologie pour ces sites spécifiques. L’objectif de cette présentation sera de montrer par quelques exemples l’état des lieux des liens qui sont fait entre collections et sites de l’inventaire et de présenter, les types de musées qui sont inventoriés ainsi que l’approche choisie par les auteurs de l’inventaire. Pour finir, nous discuterons des limites de l’inventaire liées au format de l’INPG.

Doratomantispa pouilloni Jouault, & Nel sp. nov. (Figs. 1–3) urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act: 9775F6A4-B284-4A97-ADCD-E9DEBA67DCE4 Etymology. The specific epithet honors Jean-Marc Pouillon who allows the study of the type specimen; it is to be treated as a noun in genitive case. Material. A complete adult, preserved in a flattened, blurry, reddish amber piece (20 mm × 7 mm × 6 mm); holotype specimen accession number IGR.BU-058, housed in the amber collection of the Geological Department and Museum of the University of Rennes, France (IGR). Locality and horizon. Noije Bum Hill, Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar; upper Albian to lower Cenomanian, mid-Cretaceous. Diagnosis. Forelegs with stout trochanter, femora with nine spines on outer edge, two spines on inner edge, tibia with parallel sides, probasitarsomeres with around six pairs of black and thick spines; wings elongate and narrow, forewings with costal veinlets simple before ScP and RA fusion, coloration pattern present i.e. with spots of color around crossveins and no marking near wing margin, only 3ra-rp present, scp+ra-rp1 present, RP with four branches, one inner gradate crossvein i.e. 2rp3-rp4 present; hind wings with ra-rp crossvein located proximad separation of RP1 and RP2, four RP branches, inner gradate crossveins present i.e. 2rp2-rp3, 3rp3-rp4. Male genitalia: Tergum IX short, nearly half length of tergum VIII, posteriorly concave; sternum IX bulbous; ectoproct paired, slightly elongate, bulbous, longer than tergum IX; gonocoxites X paired, digitiform, with spinous tip, slightly sclerotized, curved upward and directed laterally; gonostylus X digitifrom, distinctly curved dorsad. Description. Male. Body length ca. 6.80 mm as preserved (Fig. 1A). Head ca. 1.36 mm wide (including eyes) (Fig. 2A). Vertex covered with fine setae. Eyes large, ca. 0.45 mm wide and ca. 0.48 mm high in ventral view (Fig. 2A), protruding laterally. Antennae with scape slightly elongate, ca. 0.21 mm long and ca. 0.09 mm wide, about twice as long as wide; pedicel about twice shorter than scape, both covered with fine dense setae; flagellum moniliform, with at least 30 flagellomeres, all with scattered fine setae, apical one tapering toward apex (Fig. 1A). Pronotum 2.26 mm long and ca. 0.45 mm wide (near mid-length), elongate, slightly narrower than maximum width of head, covered with sparse, long setae (Fig. 1A). Length of mesothorax + metathorax combined ca. 1.33 mm. Legs. Procoxa elongate similar to profemur in length. Protrochanter stout and short. Profemur long, ca. 1.61 mm, in lateral view broadest basally and tapering toward junction with tibia, covered with dense fine setae (Fig. 2B), mostly on dorsal surface, with spines of variable lengths forming two rows on ventral edge, nine spines on outer margin (Fig. 2D), two spines on inner margin. Protibia long, ca. 1.47 mm, slender, not thinning in distal third (i.e. with parallel sides), inner edge with row of stout prostrate setae, sharply curved distad and numerous thin setae, dorsal and lateral edges with sparse sedation of variable length (Fig. 2D). All protarsomeres covered with fine setae; probasitarsomere longest, with numerous spines on ventral edged (Fig. 2C), II-IV tarsomeres with a pair of stout spines (Fig. 2C); lengths of tarsomeres from base to apex (in mm) 0.31, 0.09, 0.07, 0.08, ca. 0.14; claws stout, curved. Mesocoxa stout and conical. Mesofemur long, ca. 1.33 mm, slender, covered with dense long setae. Mesotibia long, ca. 2.06 mm, slender, covered with dense long setae, several long stronger setae, with distinct coloration pattern, i.e. three dark stripe (distal one at apex); all mesotarsomeres covered with fine setae, spines or strong setae present on ventral surface; first tarsomere the longest; combined length of tarsomeres ca. 1.01 mm; claws small, curved. Metacoxa similar to mesocoxa. Metafemur long, ca. 1.4 mm, slender, covered with dense long setae. Metatibia long, ca. 2.76 mm, slender, covered with dense long setae, several long stronger setae, with two dark stripes, one distally and one in distal part of basal third; all metatarsomeres covered with fine setae, spines or strong setae present on ventral surface; first tarsomere the longest; combined length of tarsomeres ca. 1.06 mm; claws small, curved. Forewing (Figs. 1B, 2E, 3) with conspicuous coloration pattern along crossveins and pterostigma, elongate, ca. 7.07 mm long, ca. 1.84 mm wide. Trichosors present nearly along whole wing margin (absent basally); thin setae sparsely present on dorsal and ventral surfaces of longitudinal veins, but absent on crossveins. Humeral veinlet simple; costal space thin; all subcostal veinlets simple before ScP and RA fusion, after forked; ScP fused with RA in apical third; subcostal space with proximal crossvein (1scp-r) located slightly distad R fork; RP divided into four branches; RP1 not deeply forked; crossveins scp+ra-rap1 and 3ra-rp present; no crossvein between RP1 and RP2; 4rp2-rp3 present before RP2 and RP3 branching; 2rp3-rp4 and 4rp3-rp4 present; 1r-m present slightly anteriad 1mcua (Figs. 2E, 3); 1rp-ma slightly distad M fork; 4rp4-ma present between anterior branch of MA and stamp of RP4; M deeply forked, 4ma-mp present; Cu deeply forked, 1mp-cua slightly distad M fork, 3mp-cua present between MP and anterior branch of CuA, 2cua-cup present; 1cup-a1 located anteriad CuP or A1 forks; A1 forked near wing margin; 1a1-a2 crossvein present; A2 with several branches; A3 present simple(?). Hind wing (Figs. 1C, 3) with coloration only around 3ra-rp, elongate-ovoid, ca. 6.50 mm long, ca. 1.58 mm wide. Trichosors nearly present along whole wing margin (absent basally); thin setae sparsely present on dorsal and ventral surfaces of longitudinal veins, but absent on crossveins. Costal space extremely narrow; subcostal veinlets mostly simple until ScP and RA meeting point, then forked; ScP fused with RA in apical third of wing; subcostal space without crossvein; RP divided into four branches; intra-RP crossveins present; one ra-rp crossveins present (3ra-rp) located after dichotomy of RP1 and RP2; 2rp2-rp3, 4rp2-rp3, 3rp3-rp4, and 4rp3-rp4 present; M divided into MA and MP; two crossveins present between RP and M i.e. 2rp4-ma and 4ma-mp, first one slightly anteriad M fork, second between anterior branch of MA and RP4; origin of Cu unclear; CuA and CuP pectinately branched; one crossvein (1cua-cup) present; one mcua crossvein present; one mp-cua crossvein present; anal veins present but hardly discernible. Abdomen about 2.5-3 mm long, slender, slightly compressed laterally, slightly thinner anteriorly, with moderately scattered setae. Male genitalia: Tergum IX short, nearly half length of tergum VIII, posteriorly concave; sternum IX bulbous; ectoproct paired, slightly elongate, bubous longer than tergum IX; gonocoxites X paired, digitiform, with spinous tip, slightly sclerotized, curved upward and directed laterally; gonostylus X digitifrom, distinctly curved dorsad.

International audience; The ponerine ant Anochetus miosumatrensis Ngô-Muller, Garrouste & Nel, n. sp. is described from a fossil alate female preserved in amber of Sumatra which is reputedly of Miocene age. On the basis of the general morphology, the fossil could be attributed to the extant Sumatran species group risii Brown, 1978. By comparing with the living environment of the extant species, this ant probably lived in a warm humid forest where it was trapped in dipterocarpacean resin during nuptial flight. Until now, the known Cenozoic distribution of the genus Anochetus was restricted to the Neotropi-cal region. Thus A. miosumatrensisNgô-Muller, Garrouste & Nel, n. sp. brings the first record of the genus from Indomalaya biogeographic region.; La première fourmi du genre Anochetus Mayr, 1861 de l’ambre néogène de Sumatra (Hymenoptera: Formicidae).La fourmi ponérine Anochetus miosumatrensis Ngô-Muller, Garrouste & Nel, n. sp. est décrite à partir d’une femelle fossile ailée, conservée dans l’ambre de Sumatra, réputée d’âge Miocène. Sur la base de la morphologie, le fossile pourrait être attribué à l’espèce actuelle du groupe risii Brown, 1978 de Sumatra. Par comparaison avec l’environnement de vie de l’espèce actuelle, cette fourmi a probablement vécu dans une forêt chaude et humide, où elle a été piégée dans une résine diptérocarpacéenne pendant le vol nuptial. Jusqu’à présent, la distribution cénozoïque connue était restreinte à la zone néotropicale. Ainsi, A. miosumatrensis Ngô-Muller, Garrouste & Nel, n. sp. fournit le premier enregistrement du genre dans la zone indo-malaisienne.

Type locality and horizon: Noije Bum Hill, Hukawng Valley, Kachin State, Myanmar; Lower Cenomanian, Upper Cretaceous. Etymology: The specific epithet is derived from Latin longus, long, and scapus, shaft, for the elongated scape of this species. Description: Female; body 2.1 mm long (as preserved), not depressed, almost smooth and not strongly foveolate; LFW 1.5 mm; castaneous; wings setose. Remarks: It seems that the internal musculature of the fossil was preserved during the fossilization process, especially those of the legs (Figs 2–3). It could be interesting to compare the evolution of the musculature and the insertion of the muscles between the Cretaceous and extant Bethylidae in a future study, using 3D X-ray tomography.

Description A body in rather poor condition with the two fore wings attached. Metasoma in poor condition and incomplete but the first segment seems to be narrow tubular, not conical. Xoanon? eocenicus sp. nov. (Figs. 1, 2) Material. Holotype specimen MeI 14895, stored in the Messel insect collection at the Senckenberg Research station Grube Messel, part of the Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum Frankfurt. Diagnosis. Small siricid, with diagnostic forewing characters only; most basal section of vein Rs reclined, then short fused section of Rs+M, then Rs approximates stigma, crossvein 1 r-rs most probably very short; most distal part of vein Rs only faintly visible, probably directed towards anterior wing margin but R 1 seemingly not strongly bent at its apex, so apex of cell 3 R 1 seems to lie very close to anterior wing margin; crossvein 1 cu–a located quite distal to forking of vein M+Cu into M and Cu, at about middle of cell 1 M; no vein Cu 1. Age and outcrop. Lower Middle Eocene, Geiseltalian, ca. 47 million year old former Maar lake Messel, near Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany; The specimen was collected in the Messel Formation, year 2009, in grid square F 9, in strata 2.5 to 3.5m above local stratigraphic marker level alpha. Etymology. Named after the Eocene period. Description. A fore- and parts of a hindwing associated with fragmentarily preserved body remains; body structures poorly preserved, only remains of thorax, abdomen and a probable fragment of head partly visible; length from presumed head remains to preserved wing tip 11.4 mm; length from presumed head remains to preserved abdominal remains 8.2 mm; sex unknown; hindwing in bad condition and uninformative; forewing nearly complete with distal part of pterostigma and wing apex missing; preserved forewing part 9.0 mm long, 2.4 mm wide; part of wing between anterior wing margin and vein R dark infuscate; pterostigma 4.6 mm from wing base, 0.3 mm wide, only basal part preserved; cell 1 R 1 small, about 0.9 mm long, 0.2 mm wide; crossvein 1 r-rs not preserved, but probably very short; basal section of Rs reclined (directed posterobasal); Rs re-emerging from Rs+M very near to junction of Rs and M; cell 2 R 1 about 1.4 mm long; cell 3 R 1 at its anterior margin about 2.3 mm long, 0.7 mm wide above crossvein 3 r-m; distal part of vein Rs directed towards anterior wing margin, but with R 1 not strongly bent at its apex, so apex of cell 3 R 1 situated very close to anterior wing margin; cell 1 Rs maximally 2.1 mm long, at its middle 0.5 mm wide; instead of one crossvein there are two crossveins 2 r-m present; one placed distal of crossvein 2 m-cu, ending in cell 3 M; a second crossvein placed between Rs and M just basal of 2 r-rs, aligned with 2 m-cu; cell 1 M pentagonal, 1 mm long, 0.3 mm wide; crossvein 1 cu-a well distally of point of separation between M and Cu, in middle of cell 1 M; no crossvein Cu 1; cell 2 M 1.4 mm long, at its middle 0.6 mm wide. Discussion. The subvertical to reclined basal section of Rs is a autapomorphy of the Siricidae (e. g. Königsmann 1977, p. 26, Rasnitsyn 1988). This character is clearly present in the fossil. Forewing vein Rs reemerges from Rs+M very near to junction of Rs and M, fore wing vein Cu 1 is absent. This fossil resembles the recent genus Xoanon in the fore wing venation, because the distal cross vein 2 r–m is placed apically and joined to cell 3 M, similar to the autapomorphy of Xoanon proposed by Schiff et al. (2012), already noted by Benson (1943, p. 34). The fossil has a second crossvein 2 r-m between Rs and M, aligned with 2 m-cu. Duplications and aberrations in the wing venation of Siricidae can be found quite often. For example, Fig. C 24.1 in Schiff et al. (2012) shows a bifurcation of vein 2 r-m in extant Urocerus flavicornis. We found also a half additional crossvein 2 r-m in an extant specimen of Urocerus gigas (Fig. 3 A), and strong aberrations in the same region in a Sirex juvencus specimen (Fig. 3 B), so the presence of an aberrant additional crossvein in this fossil is not unusual. Cell 2 R 1 is relatively long compared to cell 3 R 1, which fits with extant Xoanon matsumurae (compare e.g. Fig. C 1.24 in Schiff et al. 2012). On the other hand, the shape of cell 3 R 1 is very particular for a siricid, with the distal part of vein Rs 2 directed towards the anterior wing margin as in Xoanon and in most other siricids, but with R 1 not strongly bent at its apex, so that the apex of cell 3 R 1 is very close to the anterior wing margin. A similar shape of cell 3 R 1 can be found in most basal Hymenoptera (e. g. Schulmeister 2003), so this might be an atavism to a plesiomorphic character state, perhaps autapomorphic for the species. Mainly because of the peculiar form of cell 3 R 1 there remains an uncertainty in regard to the generic placement of the fossil, which is indicated by the “?” in the generic attribution, following the recommendations of Bengtson (1988) regarding open nomenclature. In modern Siricidae the body lengths range between 7 to 38 mm and more, the body lengths are highly variable even among one species. So the preserved body length of minimum 8.2 mm for the Messel fossil does not contradict a placement in the genus Xoanon.
