Day by day the prevalence of Breast Cancer is increasing. Early diagnosis and intervention is best solution for this. Due to unaware about the knowledge for early diagnosis techniques like breast self-examination (BSE) many women miss out on early detection and treatment opportunities. So to orient them about the process of examination the module is prepared. –To evaluate the efficacy of Breast Lump Examination Orientation Module (BLOM) to aware women in Wardha district this study was undertaken. Randomly the females in between age group 15 to 50 years were selected for the study. After taking their informed consent they were oriented regarding the technique of self-breast examination through the BLOM module.–A structured and validated questionnaire was prepared for Pre & post test. The data was analyzed on the basis of learning gain. The feedback on five point liker scale was also analysed. The absolute learning gain was found to be 65.29.:It was concluded that the module is significantly efficient to orient women regarding breast lump examination techniques.

Background: Skin is the largest organ in the body and performs a wide variety of different function. It play an important role in the injury of the skin. Burns (Dagdha Vrana) are significant health challenge and healing can result in scar formation. Within the herbal medicine tradition the concept of Tonification and Trophorestoration is well established. Concepts of regeneration and Trophorestoration in Ayurveda provide another dimension to the area of regenerative medicine. Acharya Charaka suggests to use drugs of Amalaki to prevent Vrana. Amalaki and Silver Sulfadiazine (SSD) are the two comparative drugs chosen to evaluate the Trophorestoration concept through Dagdha Vrana in Albino rabbits. Materials and Methods: After identification and phytochemical study of test drugs 18 adult Albino rabbits will be divided into 3 groups with six Albino Rabbits in each group. The burn wound will be induced by using metal disc, three groups have been taken in which first is control group, second is standard control, third is experimental group. Before applying experimental drugs to respective group the tissue sample will be taken from each of albino rabbits and from one of the healthy tissue sample of normal skin will be taken by Punch Biopsy for histopathalogical assay. Examination of wound area, swelling, redness, oozing will be observed. Macroscopic and Microscopic assessment of wound will be done on day 0th, 4th, 8th, and 15th, 21st day after burn. Simultaneously on 0th day and 21st day SOD and MDA test will be done. The remaining animals will be returned to the animal house for their reuse. Expected Results: Whether Amalaki Patra Mashi ointment has more effect on troporestoration property of Twacha in Dagdha Vrana (Burn wound) than Silver Sulfadiazine.

Raktamokshana refers to the letting of blood, which is used to treat a variety of diseases, particularly when there is raktadushti, as well as during physiological function. In Ayurveda surgery, the first complete rational, systematic description of raktamokshana for numerous ailments is stated. According to Acharya sushrut, a person who regularly takes bloodletting will not be impacted by ailments like as shopha (inflammation), twak dosha (skin problems), visarpa (erysipelas), granthi (tumour), and others. The primary goal of this research is to determine the most likely method of action and effect of raktamokshana. A literary review is undertaken utilising electronic databases such as Pubmed, Google Scholar, IJAM, and Ayurveda classics such as Charaka Samhita, Sushruta Samhita, Ashtang Sangrah, and so on. The goal was to assess the effectiveness and implications of raktamokshana in treating pathological diseases and preserving physiological function. According to the study, both Ayurveda and current science explain that raktamokshana, or significant blood loss, activates / initiates a plethora of beneficial physiological mechanisms, making the body attentive and adaptive to deal with numerous systemic problems.

Background: The liver and kidney play a central role in metabolic and detoxification processes leads to structural degeneration of organs with aging, which may hamper the functional ability of these organs. Acharya charaka suggests to use drugs of vayasthapana mahakashaya in different combinations to prevent ageing. Guduchi (Tinospora cardifolia) and punarnava (Boerhavia diffusa) are two drugs chosen to evaluate the solitary and combined effect on structural and functional changes in liver and kidney of Wistar rat. Materials and Methods: After identification and phytochemical study of test drugs, the 32 healthy, male rats of 18 months will be divided into four different groups, with eight rats in each group. 1st to 4th group will receive distilled water, guduchi kwath, punarnava kwath, guduchi and punarnava kwath respectively for 30 consecutive days at the rate of 8.1ml/kg dose, orally. Before administration of control drug and test drug blood sample assessment will be done for LFT, KFT, and SOD level. The same investigation will be repeated after one month trial period. Then after 60 days,120 days and 180 days, two animals from each group will be sacrificed, organs such as liver and kidney will be extracted and preserved for histopathological study, and blood samples will be collected for investigation. The remaining animals will be returned to the animal house for their reuse. Expected Results: Guduchi and punarnava may provide strength to liver and kidney and thus helpful in delaying degenerative changes of organs.

The concept of Immunity is mentioned as ‘Vyadhikshamatwa’ in Ayurveda. In Ayurveda numbers of medicinal herbs are described under immunity-enhancing drugs category. The concept of immunity enhancer is explained under the category of Rasayan chikitsa in Ayurveda. These herbs are used in various diseases, especially by modulating the immune system. These herbs are called as Rasayan Dravyas. Ayurveda medical science comprises the herbs which are Rasayana and also which are non-Rasayana in nature. In Samhitas entirely enriched with enormous data of Rasayana medicinal herbs acting as immune modulators. The data of available Samhitas and researches show that these Rasayana herbs have immense potential as immune modulators. Advanced researches have proven that drugs like Guduchi, Haritaki, Ashwagandha, Brahmi, Jyotishmati act as a good immune enhancer. Theses herbs are mentioned in Ayurveda as Rasayana drugs. Experimental studies also have proven the role of Rasayana drugs as antioxidant, adoptogenic and having anti-stress activities. These Rasayana drugs as having immunity enhancer protect the health of a healthy person and protects them from any type of diseased condition. Charakacharya had mentioned Rasayanchikitsa adhyay as the first addhya of their chikitsasthan considering his aim as ‘Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam’. This means to protect the health of a healthy person as in priority by using immunity enhancer drugs as Rasayanas. This review article empowers such reviewed data on Rasayan medicinal herbs as a promising future target for immunotherapy.

According to Ayurveda dhatus (structural entities) are circulating through a channel known as srotas, these strotas carry dhatu (tissue elements or their constituent) undergoing transformation to their destination. Each srotas has 2 mulasthan (roots), which are different according to various text of Ayurveda. Different Acharyas describe roots of Medowaha srotas differently upto some extent, with this context the exploration of this concept is needed with respect to modern science which is mostly based on Pratyaksha pramana. An Ayurvedic principle, to treat the diseases of respective srotas, root site has to be treated. About medowaha srotas, out of two roots one is “Vrikka” is common in all text, but the second root is different with this context exploration is needed. When we correlate term Vrikka with kidney, we can’t full fill the aspect of Meda (fat) metabolism but if Vrikka is correlates with kidney plus suprarenal gland then we can. In Structure suprarenal gland are attached to kidneys on superior side kidneys and suprarenal glands are made up of same tissue. The diseases of Meda dhatu given by compendia are correlated with diseases of hormone cortisol secreated by suprarenal gland, and cortisol is responsible for fat metabolism. Even suprarenal glands are not described in any text of Ayuurveda. The second roots given by Acharyas are Vapawahan, kati, Mansa and Jatharmeda respectively all these structures are deposited with adipose tissue having adipocyte. During starvation this tissue is metabolized and used for energy. So, these all structures are roots of Medowaha srotas.

In this 21st century, the whole globe is facing the pandemic of Covid- 19. This infectious disease has extended its clutches over all the nations. This is a novel virus, which has no any definite treatment modality till date. Many nations have implemented Lockdown measures, to prevent and cut down the chain of spread of this infectious pandemic. On one hand, the medical fraternity is fighting with this disease and on the other hand, the scientists are tirelessly involved in the development of a definitive medicine or vaccination for the disease. The whole world is following the golden principle of "Handwashing, Wearing masks and social distancing "to prevent the spread of the disease. This is the time when the whole humanity is thriving hard to improve the overall immunity to safeguard them from this Pandemic. This article is focussing on an overall view of the pandemic – Covid-19, its origin, its manifestations, precautionary measures, treatment modalities used and preventive measures. Thus a wave of awareness can be generated among the common man regarding this global Pandemic.

Background: Breast lump is considered as carcinogenic unless it is tested and diagnosed other than this. Today in India, it is one of the leading causes of cancer deaths among women. Only early detection and early medical intervention could decrease its mortality rate. Knowledge and awareness of palpation of breast lumps and attitude to get diagnosed at earliest is very important. Aim and Objectives: The study is designed to assess knowledge, awareness and attitude towards screening of Breast lumps among females. Materials and Methods: It is a questionnaire based an observational study. Those females above age of 14 years; attending Hospital were selected for the study with their consent. Data was collected by using self-structured and validated questionnaire. Total 100 females’ data was collected and analysed. Observation and Result: Of the total sample, approximately 89% of subjects were found to have heard of Breast Cancer and 41% had knowledge that Breast lump may be a sign of Breast Cancer. 22% females have heard about Breast self-examination (BSE) as an early diagnostic tool. Only 8 %& 14 % knew about importance of Clinical Breast examination (CBE)& mammography respectively. Awareness towards screening was found to be very low. Conclusion: The results revealed that, although knowledge about Breast lump is adequate up to certain limit but they do not have a comprehensive understanding of the condition. Thus, there is an urgent need to promote knowledge, awareness and health literacy among the society.

Methodology: The proposed cross sectional observationalstudy will be carried out in in Mahatma Gandhi Ayurved Hospital, Salod (H),Wardha. The women visitingOPD will be randomly selected and with their consent will be interviewed personally by a structured andvalidated questioner. Result: Result will be interpreted on the basis of statistical analysed data. Conclusion:Conclusion will be drawn from the observations and analysis.
