In this paper, we studied the dynamic properties of predator-prey and scavenger three species system by using ergodic invariant measures. Pengyu Ma. find the five points of dynamical bifurcation of the stochastic model, which happened between extinction and survival of each species. Environmental noise was added and proved by the fact that driving force produced by environmental noise influence the system and it was find that system may extinct or partially extinct. Here, we have analysed the stochastic bifurcation phenomena of the prey-predator with scavenger system from the nature of dynamic bifurcation. This article proposes a Ti-doped Vanadium dioxide (VO2) selector device for reducing the leakage current. Here, TiO2 is formed by the Ti atoms in the VO2 film for acting like a good insulator. Hence, it reduces the integration density when the leakage current in a Cross Bar Array (CBA) is increased. In this article, the modeled Pt/Ti-doped VO2/Pt selector device is integrated with the resistive random-access memory model to demonstrate its effectiveness on sneak path current reduction. The I ON / I OFF ratio of the suggested Ti-doped VO2 selector is higher than 2 × 1 0 4. The simulated results outputs in terms of nonlinearity (∼ 28 × 1 0 4 ), current density (∼ 10 7 A cm − 2 ), and leakage current(∼0.31nA). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Epilepsy is a brain disorder that results in seizures; in general seizure is a suddenly occurring uncontrollable electrical disturbance in the brain. These disturbances in the brain can lead to changes in behaviour, feelings, movements, etc. It is highly essential for the patients suffering with epilepsy to be diagnosed and treated. The normal detection of epilepsy is done using EEG signals which are time consuming. This paper aims at proposing a methodology to diagnose epilepsy by the use of EEG signals by establishing a correlation between statistical calculations and EEG signals. A various set of features are applied to the epilepsy and non-epilepsy dataset. Features such as time domain frequency which include mean, skewness, variance, kurtosis, standard deviation, approximate entropy, zero crossings, power spectrum and frequency domain features that include signal energy and total signal area, average DWT coefficient, signal relation features and human brain graph features. Further, considering these features, feature fusion and optimization aka FFO is carried out which helps in analysing the features in an optimal way for further classification. Moreover, feature fusion and its optimization helps in exploring the new features that helps in enhancing the distinguish between classes. These features help diagnosis of the brain disorder in a very time efficient manner with higher accuracy. In this article a novel distributed amplifier configuration consisting of cascaded-transistor cells is presented. For a given transistor and total gate periphery (number of transistors) in the amplifier, the new configuration gives higher gain-bandwidth product than conventional distributed amplifiers. A novel hand-pass distributed amplifier design concept is presented. The amplifier can be realized in monolithic form using GaAs FETs. The amplifier has excellent widehand gain and phase response characteristics. It shows promise for applications in the millimeter wave region. BACKGROUND Cervical cancer is the leading cancer in Indian women and the second most common cancer in women worldwide. Even though cancer screening has become prevalent with an aim of early diagnosis and treatment, about 60% of patients still present in late stage. Treatment for advanced stage carcinoma cervix is a combination of external beam radiation and brachytherapy. Conventional external beam radiation delivers a dose of 2Gy per fraction with standard pelvic portals with antero-posterior or box field technique. Overall treatment time has considerable effect on local control and survival. In hypofractionated treatment the overall treatment time is reduced. In our institute, we focused on hypofractionated radiotherapy, which is a modality without additional burden to the, patients. We therefore conducted a clinical study to evaluate the effect of a fraction size of 3 Gy on local control in advanced stage cervical cancer. AIM To evaluate the efficacy in terms of locoregional response & toxicity of a hypofractionated chemoradiation regimen of Carcinoma Cervix vs. Conventional fractionated chemoradiation MATERIALS AND METHODS 52 eligible patients with FIGO stage IIB-IVA non metastatic squamous cell carcinoma Cervix reporting to JKCI OPD were randomly divided into two groups of 26 patients each: GROUP I ? EBRT/ 60 Co / 46 Gy / 23 # / 4½ week /to pelvis o With concurrent cisplatin 40mg/m2 weekly followed by ICRT 6 Gy weekly x 3 weeks GROUP II ? EBRT/ 60 Co / 39 Gy / 13 # / 2 ½ week /to pelvis o With concurrent cisplatin 40mg/m2 weekly followed by ICRT 6 Gy weekly x 3 weeks RESULTS Between January 2014 to July 2015 a total of 52 patients were enrolled, 26 in each group. The median total treatment time in group I was 8 weeks and 6 weeks in group II. Response rate was comparable between two groups, with complete response in group I and group II 73.07% vs. 69.23% respectively. On comparing the incidence of acute toxicity (grade III) nausea and vomiting was 15.38% in group I vs. 23.07% in group II; GI toxicity (grade II/III) was 50% in group I vs. 57.6% in group II. Skin and mucosal toxicities(grade III) were 11.5% in the former group vs. 23.07% in the latter whereas haematological toxicity 20% vs. 23% in group I and group II respectively. CONCLUSION In locally advanced carcinoma cervix hypofractionated radiotherapy with concurrent cisplatin weekly followed by Brachytherapy is a reasonable alternative to the standard fractionated regimen with concurrent cisplatin weekly followed by Brachytherapy offers advantages of decreased overall treatment time with comparable response rate and toxicity profile. INTRODUCTION: Breast cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in women. There is considerable geographic, ethnic, and racial variability in breast cancer incidence. Ethnicity and national origin rank highly as predictors of risk for breast cancer with up to a 10-fold variation throughout the world. MATERIALS AND METHODS: 2060 carcinoma Breast patients registered in J K Cancer Institute, Kanpur between January 2008 to July 2014 were retrospectively studied and various factors affecting the disease and its management were analysed. The various factors were then grouped into 3 categories namely Patient, Tumor & Management characteristics. RESULTS: We found in our study a) Breast carcinoma seems to be increasing in younger women( 0 to 45 years ) of about 43% b) There is 62?diction to tobacco. c) Immunohistochemistry reveals: ER+ve PR+ve 68% ER+ve PR-ve 6% ER-ve PR+ve 3% Her2neu+ve 24% TNBC 20% d) About 16% of patients had history of pre-malignant conditions. e) Only 9% of patients have been operated by an oncosurgeon. The rest were operated by General surgeon out of which 68% had residual disease at the time of re-evaluation. CONCLUSIONS: Breast cancer was found to be more common among post menopausal women of Lower middle SE status, aged b/w 41-60 years with parity more than 2. Most of the patients showed a characteristic of addiction to tobacco chewing which may warrant a larger sample size study to evaluate it as one of the risk factors. 16% of patients also showed a history of premalignant lesions like fibroadenosis, fibrocystic disease, duct ectasia Tumor was mostly lateralized to the left breast & the most common HP was IDC. 23.3% showed triple negative hormonal status which is considered to be a poor prognostic factor. The article discusses the mass flowering and pollinators of Strobilanthes (S.) consanguinea in the Western Ghats, India. It mentions that plant species that show mass flowering pattern take many years to produce flowers characterizing monocarpy and usually die after seed set. It says that bees, ants and butterflies are among the different insect species attracted to the flowers of S. consanguinea.

Soil erosion is a highly complicated phenomenon consisting of many component processes. On upland areas, these processes are usually thought of as detachment and transport of soil particles by rainfall and surface flow. One of the most difficult processes to quantify is sediment transport. This process depends on a host of factors including sediment type, size, size distribution, and concentrations on one hand and the flow regime relative to rates and velocities on the other hand. The effect of all of these factors is influenced by soil surface cover and surface roughness conditions. The National Sedimentation Laboratory has in recent years conducted a series of basic laboratory studies to better understand sediment movement in shallow overland flow. These experiments involved super-critical flow regimes in a 7 m long and 10 cm wide channel in which sand-size material was seeded at the upstream end at controlled rates in a super-critical flow regime with Froude numbers >1. Particle sizes were coarse sand (1000 to 1400 µm), medium sand (600 to 850 µm), and spherical glass beads (600 to 1000 µm). Measurements included particle velocity and particle concentrations using photonic probes. Three modes of transport were noted: a saltation mode at low concentrations, sediment waves in which sediment moved in regularly spaced waves, and a meander mode. The latter two modes were attributed to particle interactions. The transported sediment was continuously collected at the downstream end by a rotating sampler. A curvilinear increase in transport rate was noted with an increase in seeding rate until a critical saltation limit was reached, after which a decrease in sediment movement occurred with the formation of organized sediment structures. The small structures were waves with spacings of the order of magnitude of tens of particle diameter, while the larger-scale meander had wavelengths of hundreds of particle diameters. The measured pseudo-equilibrium transport rates were smallest in the meander mode, followed by the wave mode. A relationship was obtained that described the transition from the saltation mode to the wave mode in terms of a critical solid concentration. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Low and unstable fruit yield, poor quality of fruits, and excessive fruit dropping are major problems in a lime crop and are due to either micronutrient deficiencies or nutrient imbalance. A study was conducted to assess the micronutrient status in a lime orchard at the Central Soil and Water Conservation Research and Training Institute (CSWCRTI)'s research farm in Kota, Rajasthan, India. Plant and soil samples were collected during September and October in 2006-2007. The micronutrients extracted with diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA) in soils were in the order of manganese (Mn) > iron (Fe) > zinc (Zn) > copper (Cu). The mean values of DTPA Mn, Fe, Zn, and Cu in surface soils varied from 13.98 to 22.70, 2.48 to 8.66, 0.79 to 1.19, and 0.14 to 0.46 mg kg-1, respectively, whereas in subsurface soils they varied from 12.94 to 23.06, 4.84 to 6.52, 0.51 to 0.83, and 0.07 to 0.20 mg kg-1, respectively. Results reveal that except for Fe, the other DTPA-extractable micronutrients decreased with depth. Total Mn, Fe, Zn, and Cu in plant leaves varied from 22 to 83, 70 to 630, 40 to 932, and 37 to 3057 mg kg-1, respectively, indicating greater or toxic concentrations of total micronutrient in leaf samples. Total Mn, Fe, Zn, and Cu in petiole samples varied from 7 to 60, 235 to 574, 70 to 827, and 101 to 2623 mg kg-1, respectively. High concentration of Cu and Zn in leaves resulted in Fe and Mn deficiencies (exhibited as leaf chlorosis) in lime plants. Results of the study indicated that Fe and Mn deficiencies are major disorders in lime plantation. Similarly, the measure of DTPA-extractable micronutrients showed the low statuses of Fe and Cu and marginal status of Zn in soils along the Chambal region. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The depth of the wetting front within a soil sample in infiltration measurements, especially in soils that develop cracks on drying, is difficult to ascertain simply and nondestructively. A technique was developed to determine wetting front locations on prepared soil beds, with a miniature penetrometer probe of the needle type, immediately following a simulated rainfall event. The method involves placing a 0.5-kg weight atop a miniature penetrometer probe and measuring the penetration depth of the probe relative to a known datum. Five texturally different soils were tested under similar laboratory conditions to evaluate this method. The penetrometer-based method provided accurate estimates of the wetting front position in laboratory simulated rainfall infiltration studies for clay, silty clay, and sandy clay soils that differed from visually observed depths by <1 mm. For the silt loam soils, however, this method underestimated mean wetting front depths by as much as 4 mm, with a standard deviation of 1.6 mm and 95% confidence limits of ±2.5 mm. The penetrometer method was especially useful for detailed characterization of wetting front depths in soils where wetting was highly variable or irregular (e.g., cracking clay soils).
