A new N-(4-fluorobenzyl) N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl) dithiocarbamate ligand (fbpm) having structural similarity to clinically approved antihistaminic drugs (viz. pheniramine, chlorpheniramine, and brompheniramine) and its four metal complexes [Co(fbpm)3] (1), [Ni(fbpm)2] (2), [Cu(fbpm)2] (3), and [Zn(fbpm)2] (4) were successfully synthesized and characterized by various techniques i.e. elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, HR-MS, NMR spectroscopy, and absorption and emission spectroscopy. Furthermore, complexes 1 and 2 were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 adopts distorted octahedral geometry around the Co(III) center while complex 2 adopts distorted square planar geometry around the Zn(II) center. X-ray data also showed various weak intermolecular C–H⋯F and C–H⋯N hydrogen bonding interactions leading to supramolecular architectures in complexes 1 and 2. The thermal decomposition study of complexes 1–4 analyzed by TGA shows that they are thermally stable up to 150 °C and also gives strong evidence for the formation of respective metal sulfides at higher temperatures. The antihistaminic activity of the ligand (fbpm) and its complexes 1–4 was examined against clonidine and haloperidol-induced catalepsy in Swiss albino mice of either gender in an in vivo animal model. The result shows that these synthesized compounds have antihistaminic potential to inhibit clonidine-induced catalepsy and may be targeted for different allergic conditions. A series of new nickel(II) dithiocarbamate complexes of general formula [M L2], (where L = benzyl(4-fluorobenzyl)carbamodithioate (L1), benzyl(4-cyanobenzyl)carbamodithioate (L2), ethyl(4-methylbenzyl)carbamodithioate (L3), (4-methoxybenzyl) (naphthalen-1-ylmethyl)carbamodithioate (L4) and ethyl(4-methoxybenzyl)carbamodithioate (L5)) have been synthesized, and characterized via elemental analysis, FT-IR, electronic spectra, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, Mass spectrometry and Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The continuous variation method (Job's method) was used to determine the stoichiometry of the complexes. TGA was used to analyze the thermal decomposition behavior of metal complexes in nitrogen atmosphere. As a result of the thermal decomposition process, all of the complexes produced NiS as the final product. X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX), and Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) studies confirm the formation of NiS nanomaterial. Crystalline size of NiS was obtained between 19.97 to 21.35 nm range by applying the Scherrer equation using XRD. Solid-state electrical conductivities reveal that all the complexes behave as a semiconductor at room temperature. All the synthesized dithiocarbamate ligands and complexes were screened against five human bacterial pathogens (Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Salmonella typhi, Aeromonas hydrophila, and Shigella boydii) by disc diffusion method. Robot manipulators are multi-link nonlinear system with higher uncertainties and disturbances. To obtain desired accuracy and high performance, the controlling of robot should be in real time. Due to higher uncertainties and disturbances like variation in pay load frictions, the performance and accuracy of the system is highly deviated from desired performance and accuracy. This paper presents PD Fuzzy logic controller based scheme to track the desired trajectory of 2-link robot manipulator. In this PD fuzzy logic controller based scheme, the output of the system is fed to Fuzzy logic controller as input. The error and change in error is given as input to Fuzzy logic controller and this control scheme is capable in compensation of disturbances. Four new complexes were prepared by the metathetic reaction of trace heavy metals like Cd, Zn, Cu and Hg with two different dithioligands of the formula ML2 [ M= Cd, Zn, Cu and Hg and L= potassium-1,1-dicyano-2,2-ethylenedithiolate and potassium N-4-fluorobenzyl, N butyldithiocarbamate ] and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-visible, 1H,13C NMR and AAS. Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric measurements revealed that the N- substituted dithiocarbamate ligand are more effective. Removal efficiency of heavy metals than carbon substituted dithiocarbamate ligand. Molar ratio studies show that the complexes have the formula ML2. Solvent extraction measurement indicates that after the extraction of heavy metal in water phase and their dithiocarbamate complexes are completely dissolved in organic phase and are totally separated from aqueous solution.
