Midline interhemispheric cyst with corpus callosal agenesis is a well recognized condition and has been associated with various genetic conditions. Associated extraaxial tumors are uncommon with no proven genetic association. We describe a rare case of corpus callosal agenesis with a dorsal interhemispheric cyst and an extraaxial teratoma in the basifrontal region and review its imaging features along with the etiopathogenesis of concurrence of such condition.

This article examines the evolving character of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) as regards merger review and discusses how CCI has fared in meeting legislative expectations and what is to come—best studied through analysing CCI’s substantive and procedural approaches, its stance in complex merger cases, initiatives for efficient case disposal, and the quirkier aspects of India’s merger control regime. The analysis shows that, through constant reforms, CCI has evolved into one of the most dynamic regulators amongst major merger control jurisdictions globally, displaying a willingness to adopt a business-friendly approach while dealing with complex transactions. CCI appears to be sufficiently adaptable to meet new economy challenges.

Hematogenous spread of osteosarcoma is a common knowledge, with frequent metastases to lungs and bones. Cardiac involvement is rare finding, most of them depicting contiguous cardiac extension through vessels into the right atrium. Tricuspid metastases are rare. We encountered one such rare case of femur osteosarcoma with multiorgan metastasis including systemic veins, cardiac chambers, and tricuspid valve involvement which presented as diagnostic dilemma. Early detection was crucial for further management and prognostication of patient.

Background: Beggars exists in all society law and begging is prevalent throughout the world. Place, prevalence and pattern of begging changed with the living place. It is a social evil in India and in developing world. So that this study was carried out for psychosocial aspects of begging in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. T Aim: his study aimed to assess psychosocial aspects of beggars in Indore and to nd psychosocial reasons of becoming beggar. Data collection Methods: techniques included: (1) survey through head count and (2) structured individual interviews. A sample of 100 beggars was selected through purposive sampling procedure so that all categories of beggars get covered. The interviews were conducted in the months from May 2021 to July 2021. Data was veried manually at various stages, tabulated and analysed in the form of tables, bar diagrams, histograms, charts, etc. In this study, most of the beggars were children and Results: adolescents and were females. Most of them started begging since the age of 6 years and came from nuclear family and living with the parents. They mostly beg for basic needs and supporting family nancially. One fourth were beggars by choice because they don't want to do anything else. About half of the beggars started begging by force of their family. They were begging by means of selling the pens, toys, tissue paper etc. and feigning as if themselves or their children are diseased. 73%, 51%, 47%, 36%, 21 and 13% of total sample size were using tobacco gutkha, bidi/cigarettes, alcohol, solution/fumes inhalation, ganja and smack respectively. There is need of planning for elimination of this Conclusions: problem and beggars could be converted into worthy human capital and workforce for achieving a higher growth rate and ensuring inclusive development.

Background: A sadhu is one who is deeply devoted to the path of spirituality. The term sadhu refers to a mendicant, ascetic, or any holy person within Hinduism who has repudiated all earthly, physical and materialistic attachments with the unfaltering intention of spiritual connection to the Divine. Most of the sadhus are coming from rural background which is 80% of total sample. Most of the sadhus are uneducated i.e. 70% of total sample. 60% of sadhu are never married. Of which 20% are widowed and another 20% left their family in pursuit of inner peace. most (about 90%) of the people become sadhu at 20-40 yrs of age. Most (about 50%) of the people become sadhu to attain salvation and 20% were inuenced by other sadhus. In this about 10% become sadhu to avoid work and rest 10% are running away from their responsibilities to their families. Policies are greatly affected by the dynamic social and political environment in which they are made and implemented. The effects on policies are analysed based on the events that take place around the formulation and implementation of the policy and different political and social impacts are often discernible. The impact on policies is due to the change in “context” and “time” in which the policies are formed and implemented. There exist several independent variables that interact with each other and bring about the changes in policies and their outcome, in this paper these variables are considered as the Temporal aspects. The temporal aspects involved in the process of policy analysis simplify the understanding of the policy formulation and the outcomes as the complexity of the process cannot be simplified by a superficial linear follow-up of the events but has to weigh in the temporal aspects that are involved.

In India tobacco is abused in different forms, chewing is one of them. Unlike smoking, the ill effects of tobacco chewing have been less studied. Tobacco is known to affect the structural and mechanical properties of the arterial walls in many ways. This alters the arterial stiffness which is a strong and independent predictor of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. This study was intended to explore the ill effects of tobacco chewing on cardiovascular system. The study was performed on males belonging to the age group between 20-40 years with different history of tobacco consumption. Artery stiffness index (ASI) was measured via Pulse wave velocity recording which was recorded from the right index finger in sitting position through plethysmographic transducer using the Dicrowin, a PC based PPG analysis system. The signal from plethysmograph was digitalized using 12-bit analogue to digital converter with a sampling frequency of 200 Hz. Artery stiffness index (ASI) of tobacco chewers of less than 10 years duration is found to be almost similar to age matched controls. However ASI of chewers of more than 10 years has been found to be significantly increased. The increase in arterial stiffness has been attributed to the endothelial dysfunction, altering the levels of secretions like prostacyclin, endothelin, vascular endothelial growth factor, interleukins etc. The changes in elastin and collagen proportion, in matrix metalloproteases and advanced glycation end products also play important role. In present study we demonstrated that long term tobacco chewing is associated with adverse effect on Artery stiffness index which is an important predictor of cardiovascular well being. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the information systems (IS) assimilation level of an enterprise system in the post-implementation phase, through the lens of IS governance mechanisms and IS support structures, impacted by the socio-cognitive processes. The research follows a qualitative approach and builds on semi-structured interviews with enterprise system stakeholders in large public sector organizations in India. The study posits that high levels of IS governance mechanisms and high levels of IS support structures lead to a high level of IS assimilation only in the presence of higher level socio-cognitive processes. A not-so-higher level of socio-cognitive fabric results in low or moderate IS assimilation levels in spite of high levels of IS governance and/or IS support structures. Despite close to a couple of decades of IS research on enterprise systems, IS assimilation is still an enigma for practitioners and academicians. The generalizability of the results of this study may be applicable to any public organization in a developing country, like India, which are using enterprise system solutions but are yet to reap the potential benefits. The results present a way forward for practitioners to ensure optimal resources and focus for the triad- IS governance, IS support structures and socio-cognitive processes.

Benign fibrous histiocytoma (FH) is a benign soft-tissue tumor that can present as a fibrous tissue mass anywhere in the body. The involvement of the paranasal sinuses is extremely rare, and very few cases have been reported in literature till date. We here report a case of benign FH localized in the maxillary sinus. The clinical and histological features of the lesion are discussed with a brief literature review of this pathology in the paranasal sinuses.

Solid–solid diffusion couples were investigated at 1100 °C for determination of ternary interdiffusion coefficients at several compositions of the BCC phase field of Ti-Al-Mo system. Some of the diffusion couples developed zero flux planes (ZFP), which indicate the presence of strong diffusional interactions in this system. The composition of ZFP corresponds to the cross-over point of the diffusion path of the couple with the iso-activity line passing through one of the terminal alloys. Ternary interdiffusion coefficients were evaluated at several compositions at which the diffusion paths of the couples intersected each other. The strong diffusional interactions were also evident in large values of cross interdiffusion coefficients. Large negative values of $$ \tilde{D}_{\text{TiAl}}^{\text{Mo}} $$ indicate that the interdiffusion flux of titanium is enhanced up the gradient of aluminum and reduced down its gradient. An empirical relation is proposed between the ternary interdiffusivities and composition. The diffusion profiles were regenerated reasonably well using finite difference method based on empirically fitted composition dependent diffusion data. Availability of such composition–diffusivity relations in ternary systems would help in more accurate predictive design of the alloys and processes as it avoids the assumptions of negligible cross effects and need of complex extrapolations from lower order systems.

Arsenic in the present times has caused lots of health hazards to humans. In developing countries like Bangladesh and India the high prevalence of contamination, the isolation and poverty of the rural population, and the high cost and complexity of arsenic removal systems have imposed a programmatic and policy challenge on an unprecedented scale. Although in India, arsenic poisoning in ground water in Gangetic belt especially the districts adjoining the river Ganges right from Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar to West Bengal. These regions are the problem of concern as due to which major health related problems are arising. To combat the present problem, a pre-clinical study was carried out on Charles foster rats. They were treated with Sodium arsenite at the dose of 8 mg per kg body weight for 16 weeks to make arsenic model and upon these arsenic pre-treated rats seed extracts of Piper nigrum at the dose of 50 mg per kg body weight was administered for 4 weeks to study the antidote effects of this plant extract. The Piper nigrum extract not only eliminated the effects of arsenic but also reversed the normal physiological activity in the animal by normalising the activity of liver and kidney. The present study concludes that this novel plant extract possesses hepato-protective as well as nephro-protective activity against arsenic induced toxicity.

Now-a-days multimedia data is being generated very frequently in text format, image format, audio format etc. Security is the major issue of the multimedia data. Multimedia data can be very easily modified by the intruders. By using Watermarking and Steganography techniques the multimedia data can be protected from unauthorised access. Watermarking technique hides the data in the carrier signal. In the process of Steganography, the digital data (e.g. digital files like audio, video, text etc) can be embedded into some other digital file. The concept of watermarking is to keep the watermark robust from various attacks. Whenever the intruder tries to temper with the digital signal and removes the watermark, the digital data becomes useless as the quality is degraded. This paper discusses about various applications of watermarking, characteristics of Watermarking and basics of image processing. This paper also provides a comprehensive study of available literature on digital image watermarking. Some of the optimization techniques have also been discussed.

Introduction: Dermatophytes are fungi that can cause infections of the skin, hair & nails due to their ability to invade keratin. Dermatophytosis is the most common superficial fungal infection worldwide, more common in tropics and subtropical regions. It may present in epidemic proportions in areas of high humidity. Aims and Objectives: The present study is aimed to determine the distribution and to identify the clinical types of dermatophytosis that are prevalent in Malwa region. Materials and Methods: A total of 298 samples were collected from infected skin, hair and nails for a period of 1 year.Samples were collected under aseptic condition by skin scrapping, nails and hairs clipping by using scalpel or forceps and were then subjected to direct microscopy by potassium hydroxide (KOH) mount. Results: Dermatophytosis manifested more in the age group of 21-30 years, with male predominance. Among various clinical types, tinea cruris was the commonest type. Direct microscopy on KOH mount revealed the presence of dermatophytic fungi in 71.8% of the samples. Conclusions: Dermatophytosis is the commonest disease presenting in dermatology clinics and are responsible for myriad of clinical manifestations in human. Empirical use of steroid/mixed preprations, poor patient compliance due to high cost and changing dress sense are some important contributing factors for the real upsurge in incidence and prevalence of dermatophytosis in the last few years. Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) is a blood cancer, which affects the red blood cells in the bone marrow. Of the possible proteins that are affected in AML, fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) has long been recognized as a potential therapeutic target as it affects the other signaling pathways and leads to a cascade of events. First-generation inhibitors sorafenib and midostaurin, as well as secondgeneration agents such as quizartinib and crenolanib are known. It is of interest to identify new compounds against FLT3 with improved activity using molecular docking and virtual screening. Molecular docking of existing inhibitors selected a top scoring bestestablished candidate Quizartinib having PubChem CID: 24889392. Similarity searching resulted in compound XGIQBUNWFCCMASUHFFFAOYSA-NPubChemCID: 44598530 which shows higher affinity scores. A comparative study of both the compounds using a drug-drug comparison, ADMET studies, boiled egg plot and pharmacophore parameters and properties confirmed the result and predicted the ligand to be an efficient inhibitor of FLT3.

Thyroid nodules are a common disorder of the thyroid. Most of these are benign and only 5%-30% are malignant. Fine-needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) plays a vital role in differentiating benign from malignant and hence directing toward timely intervention. Liquid-based cytology (LBC) has been recently started in sampling thyroid lesions and has shown good results. The aim of our study was to compare the cytomorphology of thyroid lesions by conventional smear (CS) and LBC method and categorize the lesions according to TBSRTC (The Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology).A prospective study was conducted from January 2018 to June 2019 on 131 patients. Thyroid FNAC samples were taken to prepare 2-5 slides for conventional reporting and one sample for LBC preparation by SurePath method. Staining with hematoxylin and eosin, May-Grünwald-Giemsa, and Papanicolaou stain was done. Cases were reported by TBSRTC and compared.The nonneoplastic lesions constituted the major proportion on both CS (83.2%) and LBC (73.2%). The neoplastic lesions constituted only 9.9% of all the diagnosis both on CS and LBC smear. The kappa agreement between CS and LBC cytology as per The Bethesda System for Reporting Thyroid Cytopathology came out to be 0.715, which was statistically significant.Colloid appearance was statistically significant on comparison by both methods. The comparison of ill formed epithelioid granulomas was statistically significant in autoimmune thyroiditis cases. In malignancy cases, nuclear and cytoplasmic details were crisper on CS. Cytoplasm appeared fragile and fragmented on LBC smears.

Digital Watermarking is a technology, to facilitate the authentication, copyright protection and Security of digital media. The objective of developing a robust watermarking technique is to incorporate the maximum possible robustness without compromising with the transparency. Singular Value Decomposition (SVD) using Firefly Algorithm provides this objective of an optimal robust watermarking technique. Multiple scaling factors are used to embed the watermark image into the host by multiplying these scaling factors with the Singular Values (SV) of the host audio. Firefly Algorithm is used to optimise the modified host audio to achieve the highest possible robustness and transparency. This approach can significantly increase the quality of watermarked audio and provide more robustness to the embedded watermark against various attacks such as noise, resampling, filtering attacks etc.

We consider the problem of energy management in microgrid networks. A microgrid is capable of generating a limited amount of energy from a renewable resource and is responsible for handling the demands of its dedicated customers. Owing to the variable nature of renewable generation and the demands of the customers, it becomes imperative that each microgrid optimally manages its energy. This involves intelligently scheduling the demands at the customer side, selling (when there is a surplus) and buying (when there is a deficit) the power from its neighboring microgrids depending on its current and future needs. Typically, the transaction of power among the microgrids happens at a pre-decided price by the central grid. In this work, we formulate the problems of demand and battery scheduling, energy trading and dynamic pricing (where we allow the microgrids to decide the price of the transaction depending on their current configuration of demand and renewable energy) in the framework of stochastic games. Subsequently, we propose a novel approach that makes use of independent learners Deep Q-learning algorithm to solve this problem. Through extensive empirical evaluation, we show that our proposed framework is more beneficial to the majority of the microgrids and we provide a detailed analysis of the results.
