This impoverishment of imaginary reinforces the feeling of green-washing with a risk of reification; there is thus a need to explore the outlines of a decolonial ecology. The novel Le Mas Théotime is characteristic of Henri Bosco’s style marked by a syncretic mysticism mixing Pagan and Christian symbols. The pastoral writing illustrates a deep struggle between unknown drives. The hypothesis of this article is that these spiritual forces are linked to old alliances between families. To some extent, the pastoral narrative activates ethnic links between characters that are not always conscious about the power of these relations. By referring to the dream analysis proposed by Carl Gustav Jung, it is possible to read the pastoral in Le Mas Théotime as an ancestral tragedy where old alliances can be betrayed and questioned.

La présente étude revient sur le tropisme de la presse française pour l’expression « modèle suédois » en proposant d’analyser l’évolution des connotations de cette formule dans les quotidiens et hebdomadaires français. Il semble que depuis quelques années l’expression devienne de plus en plus familière pour le lecteur français au point de devenir un référentiel des réformes à accomplir en France. En se concentrant sur les événements de l’année 2022, l’article évalue l’évolution des connotations de cette expression à la lumière des changements importants que subit la Suède. L’expression tend à demeurer un stéréotype positif où le modèle suédois renvoie à la description d’un état d’esprit culturel. En revanche, on remarque une diminution de la portée laudative lorsqu’on compare les usages de cette formule avec les années 2014-2021 dans la presse française., This study examines the French press's fondness for the expression 'Swedish model' by analysing the changing connotations of this expression in French daily and weekly newspapers. It seems that in recent years the expression has become increasingly familiar to French readers, to the point of becoming a frame of reference for the reforms to be carried out in France. Focusing on the events of 2022, this article assesses the changing connotations of this expression in the light of the major changes Sweden is undergoing. On the one hand, the expression tends to remain a positive stereotype in which the Swedish model refers to the description of a cultural state of mind. On the other hand, we note a reduction in the laudatory scope when we compare the uses of this expression with the years 2014-2021 in the French press., Este estudo discute a predileção da imprensa francesa pela expressão pronta “modelo sueco”, ao analisar como suas conotações têm mudado nos diários e revistas semanais da França. Nos últimos anos, ela parece ter se tornado cada vez mais familiar para os leitores franceses, a ponto de constituir um referencial para as reformas a serem realizadas na França. Com foco nos acontecimentos do ano de 2022, o artigo avalia as mudanças nas conotações dessa expressão à luz das transformações significativas pelas quais a Suécia está passando. Por um lado, ela tende a se manter como um estereótipo positivo, em que o modelo sueco se refere à descrição de um estado de espírito cultural. Por outro lado, nota-se uma redução no caráter laudatório da expressão, quando comparado com o seu uso na imprensa francesa no período de 2014 a 2021., Este estudio examina la afición de la prensa francesa a la expresión "modelo sueco" a través de un análisis de la evolución de las connotaciones de esta fórmula en los diarios y semanarios franceses. Parece que en los últimos años la expresión se ha hecho cada vez más familiar para los lectores franceses, hasta el punto de convertirse en un punto de referencia para las reformas que deben llevarse a cabo en Francia. Centrado en los acontecimientos de 2022, el artículo evalúa la evolución de las connotaciones de esta expresión a la luz de los grandes cambios que está experimentando Suecia. La expresión tiende a seguir siendo un estereotipo positivo cuando el modelo sueco se refiere a la descripción de un estado de ánimo cultural. En cambio, observamos una reducción del significado laudatorio cuando comparamos los usos de esta fórmula con los años 2014-2021 en la prensa francesa.

In the first volume of his memoirs, former President Barack Obama commented on the situation with the H1N1 virus in 2010 during his first mandate. Over a few weeks, around 12,000 persons died of the virus, and the President and his staff were confronted with difficult decisions. They consulted veteran task force workers who had been engaged in President Gerald Ford’s government during 1976’s swine flu epidemic (Obama, 2020, p. 468). One of those people gave him this piece of advice: “You should engage in the question (…) but you should let the experts handle the process”(Obama, 2020, p. 469). This person was thinking of President Ford’s hasty decision to make vaccination against swine flu oblig-atory. The vaccination campaign had serious complications and caused scepticism and mistrust in the population. Ex-President Obama followed that advice and made every decision according to the best research available in the field. But what did the best research mean in this context? What kind of experts were consulted by governments and which experts delivered advice? Were experts real political advisors or did they only legitimise political decisions afterwards? If the 1970s were marked by the policy on multiculturalism adopted by Pierre Trudeau, the Quebec question was approached with caution against a backdrop of claims for the sovereignty of this province. This question did not only concern domestic politics, but also arose on the international level, Quebec having been associated, for example, with the beginnings of the organization of Francophonie after the treaty of Niamey (20 March 1970). The objective of this contribution is to analyze the way in which Brian Mulroney himself perceived this positioning of Canada in the Francophonie to avoid on the one hand the delegitimization of the multiculturalist policy initiated in the 1970s and recognize on the other hand the cultural specificity of the province of Quebec. Based on the study of Brian Mulroney’s memoirs and on methodologies from discourse analysis, the findings show that the author has an ethos of reconciliation, concerned with finding a Canadian identity deeply attached to the Commonwealth and the Francophonie. This ethos is antithetical to that of Pierre Trudeau, whose political and diplomatic actions are judged negatively by Brian Mulroney. Positioning on the Francophone question is at the heart of this fundamental disagreement, which at the same time explains Brian Mulroney’s new diplomatic action in favor of a more political Francophonie and in favor of new constitutional agreements to correct Pierre Trudeau’s conception of multiculturalism., Si les années 1970 ont été marquées par la politique de multiculturalisme adoptée par Pierre Trudeau, la question québécoise a été abordée avec prudence sur fond de revendications de souveraineté de cette province. Cette question n’a pas seulement concerné la politique intérieure, mais s’est également posée sur le plan international, le Québec ayant été associé, par exemple, aux débuts de l’organisation de la Francophonie après le traité de Niamey (20 mars 1970). L’objectif de cette contribution est d’analyser la manière dont Brian Mulroney lui-même a perçu ce positionnement du Canada dans la Francophonie pour éviter d’une part la délégitimation de la politique multiculturaliste initiée dans les années 1970 et reconnaître d’autre part la spécificité culturelle de la province de Québec. Fondés sur l’étude des mémoires de Brian Mulroney et sur les méthodologies de l’analyse du discours, les résultats montrent que l’auteur a adopté un ethos de réconciliation, soucieux de retrouver une identité canadienne profondément attachée au Commonwealth et à la Francophonie. Cet ethos s’oppose à celui de Pierre Trudeau, dont les actions politiques et diplomatiques sont jugées négativement par Brian Mulroney. Le positionnement sur la question francophone est au cœur de ce désaccord fondamental, qui explique en même temps la nouvelle action diplomatique de Brian Mulroney en faveur d’une francophonie plus politique et en faveur de nouveaux accords constitutionnels pour corriger la conception du multiculturalisme de Pierre Trudeau.

Si les études autochtones sont marquées par la visibilité grandissante de certain.e.s poètes et écrivain.e.s des Premières Nations au Canada, il est possible de repérer des innovations esthétiques qui, au-delà de la poésie et du roman, intègrent de manière plus forte le point de vue des destinataires. C’est le cas du dialogue initié par Natasha Kanapé Fontaine et de Deni Ellis Béchard évoquant le racisme et l’ignorance de l’histoire des Premières Nations dont celle de la nation innue. En s’inscrivant dans une tradition épistolaire classique, Natasha Kanapé Fontaine et Deni Ellis Béchard s’adressent à un destinataire québécois en lui proposant de reconsidérer l’histoire du Québec et du Canada en prenant en compte l’héritage de la nation innue. Cet échange de lettres prend l’allure d’une conversation vivante et est utilisée comme une forme de didactisation des débats de la Commission de vérité et réconciliation du Canada sur les abus systématiquement commis dans les pensionnats. Cette Commission a rendu son rapport en 2015 peu avant la parution de Kuei, je te salue en pointant les racines d’un racisme institutionnalisé. Si la littérature autochtone s’affirme sans aucun doute comme un acte de ”survivance” culturelle, il semble que ce dialogue soit davantage habité par la création d’une empathie. This is the case of the dialogue initiated by Natasha Kanapé Fontaine and Deni Ellis Béchard dealing with racism and ignorance of the history of the First Nations, including that of the Innu nation. By connecting to a classic epistolary tradition, Natasha Kanapé Fontaine and Deni Ellis Béchard invite Quebec people to reconsider the history of their country by taking into account the legacy of the First Nations. This exchange of letters takes the form of a lively conversation and is used as a form of didactization of the debates of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada on the systematic abuses committed in residential schools. This Commission issued its report in 2015 shortly before the publication of Kuei, My Friend by pointing out the roots of institutionalized racism. While indigenous literature undoubtedly asserts itself as an act of cultural survival, it seems that this dialogue is more inhabited by the creation of empathy. Using the methods of nonviolent communication, the article analyzes the way in which this work strengthens intercommunity relations in Québec from the perspective of intercultural pedagogy. The article focuses on the editorial peritext, the musicality of the dialogue made up of chorus, refrains and comments with the discovery of the last letters.
