The study of time-fractional problems with derivatives in terms of Caputo is a recent area of study in biological models. In this article, fractional differential equations with phytoplankton-toxic phytoplankton-zooplankton (PTPZ) system were solved using the Laplace transform method (LTM), the Adomain decomposition method (ADM), and the differential transform method (DTM). This study demonstrates the good agreement between the results produced by using the specified computational techniques. The numerical results displayed as graphs demonstrate the accuracy of the computational methods. The approaches that have been established are thus quite relevant and suitable for solving nonlinear fractional models. Meanwhile, the impact of changing the fractional order of a time derivative and time t on populations of phytoplankton, toxic-phytoplankton, and zooplankton has been examined using graphical representations. This article presents a novel numerical approach to the solution of the nonlinear Kawahara equation. The desired approximations are obtained from the combination of Dickson polynomials and Taylor's expansion. The combined approach is based on Taylor's expansion for discretizing the time derivative and Dickson polynomials for space derivatives. The problem will be converted into a system of linear algebraic equations for each time step via some suitable collocation points. Error estimation is presented after obtaining the approximate solution. The newly proposed technique is compared with some existing numerical methods to show the method's applicability, accuracy, and efficacy. Background: Microalbuminuria is one of the most common micro vascular complications in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Awareness about glycemic control and complications is important to identify and treat microalbuminuria. The aim of the study is to assess awareness about glycemic control and complications and prevalence of microalbuminuria in known cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus in urban and rural population of Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India. Method: 287 known cases of type 2 diabetes mellitus were included in the present study. Awareness levels were assessed by structured questionnaire. Microalbumin: creatinine ratio was measured using first morning mid stream urine sample. Cases were grouped into microalbuminuria group if microalbumin is > 30μg/mg creatinine. Results: Awareness levels are 28% at 95% CL; CI: 5.19. Prevalence of microalbuminuria is 48% at 95% CL; CI: 5.76. Awareness levels are low in microalbuminuria cases (20%) when compared with normal cases (34%) (P value=0.008). Awareness levels are low in females (19%) when compared with males (32%) (P value=0.018). Lack of awareness is associated with microalbuminuria (P value=0.008). Conclusion: There is lack of awareness about glycemic control and complications, and higher prevalence of microalbuminuria in urban and rural population of Rajahmundry.
