Cílem článku bylo posoudit přesnost fotogrammetrických výsledků pomocí snímků nízkonákladové kamery, mobilního telefonu Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro a profesionální digitální zrcadlové kamery Canon EOS 6D Mark II. Pro analýzu byla vybrána kaple. Na kapli vytvořeno celkem 51 vlícovacích a kontrolních dbodů a byla naskenována i pozemním laserovým skenerem. Blokové vyrovnání paprskových svazků a tvorba mesh modelů proběhla v programu Bentley ContextCapture. Statisticky byly testovány směrodatné 2D polohové odchylky a směrodatné výškové odchylky na kontrolních bodech a odchylky vůči referenčnímu mračnu bodů z terestrického laserového skenování. Z výsledků vyplývá, že při vhodně zvolené konfiguraci snímkování lze dosáhnout kvalitních fotogrammetrických výsledků i s využitím nízkonákladových kamer. The aim of the article was to assess the accuracy of photogrammetric results using images of a low-cost camera, a Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro mobile phone, and a Canon EOS 6D Mark II professional digital reflex camera. A total of 51 control and checkpoints were created at the chapel, and it was scanned by a terrestrial laser scanner. Bundle block adjustment and mesh model generation were performed using Bentley ContextCapture. 2D standard deviations and standard deviations of elevation at checkpoints and deviations from the reference terrestrial laser scanning point cloud were statistically tested. The results show that with a suitably selected imaging configuration, high-quality photogrammetric results can be achieved even with a low-cost camera

In this thesis the author analyses the potential of aircraft manufacturing industry of the Czech Republic on emerging markets. Czech manufacturers have been operating only in two of the main sub-segments of the whole industry. Three main manufacturers were selected based on their revenues and each analysed from the financial, product portfolio, sales, and R&D point of view. The markets were selected applying the rating approach. For the purposes of the selection process a multi-criterial matrix was constructed of eleven parameters and two specific superstructures for each of the segments within the range. In the last part, the economic impact on the Czech Republic was estimated, specifically in terms of the labour market and contribution to the state budget via taxes and foreign trade balance.

The aim of this work is to prove a hypothesis whether Russia is sick with Dutch disease or not. In the theoretical part, the author expounds the model of Dutch disease by Corden, Neary (1982) and places the phenomenon into a historical perspective. Further on, the author identifies four main symptoms of the Dutch disease, i. e. an increasing dependence of a country on the export of natural resources, appreciation of the real exchange rate, a decline of the manufacturing sector and a growth of the service sector and, finally, an overall wage growth. In the empirical part, the author tests the presence of the particular symptoms of the Dutch disease in the Russian economy on the data set for the years 1998-2015, drawing upon the research of Oomes, Kalcheva (2007) and extending it by adding the symptom of increasing dependence of a country on the export of natural resources (the 1st symptom) and by prolonging the time series until 2015. The author presents her own multiple regression model with the dependent variable of real effective exchange rate and independent variables interest rate, oil prices and government expenditures, proving a positive correlation of 83% between the real effective exchange rate and oil price. Next, the author proves that the service sector and the natural resource sector increased their respective shares of the GDP in the economy by 6 and 5 percentage points between 2000-2015, while the manufacturing sector decreased almost by the 9 percentage points. By this, the author supports the assumption about the ongoing indirect deindustrialization process and, in effect, supports her assumption about the presence of the third symptom.

This paper raises the question whether OPEC actually acts like a cartel, given the fact that there were many controversy surrounding the organization due to its coordination failures, which resulted to an oil glut between 2014-2016. Consequently, the oil industry experienced a dramatic decline in oil prices due to the oil surplus. A comparison was made between OPEC's allocated quotas, and its actual oil production to investigate whether the members of the organization adhere to the assigned quota, to achieve highest possible prices.

The thesis deals with the differences among phenomena of Homo Oeconomicus and Human and their presence in the financial markets. Furthermore, it aims at revealing differences of behavior in alignment with the phenomena among groups of people involved and not involved in the financial markets. To do so we use an experiment with its assessment based on the Anchoring Index. For the purpose of the research of behavior in alignment with the Prospect theory, the thesis defines new index of assessment of human behavior the Human Index upon which it draws conclusions about the two groups. The results show no significant difference in propensity to bias and marginal difference in behavior in alignment with the prospect theory where the group involved in the financial markets reveals less Human behavior. Altogether, the findings are no remarkable difference in behavior among the two groups, i.e. both the group of people involved in the financial markets as well as those not involved are Human at very similar levels.

This study selectively surveys, unifies and extends the literature on the volatility of prices on commodity goods, in particular oil and its effect on the government budget of Norway in the period from 2005 until 2015. It employs an analytic framework that examines the sensitivity of the economical channels that connect the government budget of Norway to the offshore economy. Data was gathered from the reports provided by the Ministry of Finance, Statistics Norway and Norges Bank. Findings suggest that oil price is an important factor affecting the government revenues and expenditures and that from the assesses channels only the channel of Government Pension Fund Global in Norway is the least sensitive to fluctuation in the oil prices.

The rising popularity of blockchain technology otherwise known as the technology that underlies the Bitcoin protocol has been the subject of a lot of investigation and enthusiasm among financial organizations for its potentially revolutionary properties that will likely change how the economy works in the future. The blockchain is a decentralized open source ledger that records bitcoin transactions and is maintained by a distributed network of miners. Blockchain technology however has many applications beyond currency and can be applied in various areas including the firm organizational structure and law. This thesis examines how blockchain technology would lower the transaction costs involved in organizing the firm and how it would thus change the role of the firm. Coase (1937) in his article (The Nature of the Firm) explained that firms exist and continue to operate in a hierarchal manner because of the transaction costs that are involved in using the market mechanism. This paper also examines how the blockchain would lower the transaction costs of resolving disputes through carrying out market transactions that were mentioned by Coase (1960) in (The Problem of Social Cost). In order to achieve this aim Coases framework is used to theoretically model a future firm and legal system which are blockchain-based and that use bitcoin in their transactions. The results indicate that blockchain technology would reduce the transaction costs pointed out by Coase in such a way that it would cause the firm to become less hierarchal in nature and would allow it to adopt a more inclusive and distributed management system. Similarly in the case of law the transaction costs would fall making it easier for parties to resolve their disputes using the market mechanism instead of having to rely on a central authority.

This thesis explores the efficiency of the reforms on the labor market of Spain in 2012. The main goal of this work is to evaluate the effectiveness of undertaken reform against its own objectives. Relevance of this topic is that after the Global Financial Crisis of 2008 many country s economic situation significantly worsened. Searching for the way out of the complicated and undesirable economic situation countries applied new reforms and development plans majority of which didnt contribute into the improvement of country s economy. Concerning this fact it appears extremely important to analyze measures undertaken by Spanish government and its efficiency. To evaluate the effect caused by the reforms I have analyzed long-term results of it its influence on the selected indicators and overall unemployment.

In recent years such constellations, like global aviation alliances were formed and they have been developing a lot. They heavily affect the airline market. Using the data from annual reports of 11 different airlines on operational and financial performances, I run a panel data model. The main objective is to understand the effect of global aviation alliance membership on the performance of airlines - revenue and passenger flow in particular. Using different methods and models, such as fixed effects and first differences based on panel data I was not able to document a significant result. Therefore, I could not conclude that it is either beneficial or not in terms of revenue and amount of passengers for airlines to enter an alliance. However, it is not the only thing to take into account and there is more to be researched in this industry, as well as a possibility to improve this research.

The ongoing debate around a successful reunification process is dividing Germany, not only geographically but also socio-economically and politically. There have been some remarkable achievements during the reunification, especially during the first years, but the period 1990-2012 has also seen some negative developments. Analysis is based mainly on databases from the German Socio-Economic Panel (GSOEP), as well as other administrative data sources such as the Deutsche Institut for Wirtschaft (DIW). In examining and comparing the roles of demographic changes, productivity, the implementation of active labor market policies (ALMPs), labor participation, unemployment, education, the gender gap, and wage inequality, we analyze the development of the german labor market by its main determinants, in order to conclude whether the German government has succeeded in the reunification of East and West Germany.

This thesis explores the emergence of the newest type of economy the sharing economy one of the fastest growing economic phenomena in contemporary times. This thesis cites numerous research papers that encompass the sharing economy alongside other papers in different fields such as marketing and experimental economics. The main goal of this thesis is to disentangle possible channels that may have led to the increase in use of the sharing economy-provided services. To do so, we conducted an experiment using tools provided by the field of experimental economics. In the theoretical part of this thesis the main aim was to broadly explain what the sharing economy is as well as introduce the concepts to be used in the practical part. At the beginning I focus on defining the sharing-economy concept including its many definitions when it first appeared and the three phases that account for its emergence. I then explain the sharing economy concept providing the reason it is gaining worldwide recognition as well the main enablers behind it major companies involved with it the three main systems operating within it and the economics behind it. Finally I explain the many angles associated with its success, such as the concepts of Web 2.0 and P2P. Towards the end of the theoretical part I introduce the concepts that are relevant to the practical part and the experiment including risk-preferences information cascades and peerpressure. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the experiment including methodology designs treatments results etc. In the practical I present the hypothesis and the econometric model used for running the regression in order to test my hypothesis. Lastly I present the outputs I have obtained after running the regression, and comment on their significance and relevance to my hypothesis.

The purpose of this paper is to provide insight into the most efficient allocation of salary in the National Hockey League, with respect to the positional groups of forwards, defensemen, and goaltenders. With the hypothesis that the most efficient method by which to allocate salary is disproportional between the three groups, three different regressions are run. The results of the regressions and subsequent tests confirm the hypothesis that teams should perform better if they do not allocate their available salary proportionally. It is found, holding spending on goaltenders constant, that teams should perform better if they invest more in either forwards or defensemen. The results are in support of previous papers, written by Marchand et al. (2007) and Simmons & Berri (2011), that an egalitarian pay system is not ideal.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the austerity measures implemented by Greece during the Eurozone sovereign debt crisis. After providing information on the structural deficiencies of the Greek economy and how they created the crisis and affect economic growth, this thesis provides academic literature and empirical research on the austerity effects on the Greek economy and the Greek people. Furthermore, it criticizes austerity and the fallacies of the IMF, while also debating the Keynesian and supply-side approaches. The results show that albeit remarkable achievements in fiscal consolidation, austerity caused an ongoing recession, while failing to tackle existing structural problems of the Greek economy and increasing regional inequalities and deterioration of the Greek peoples physical and mental health.

Weber, Blais and Bets (2002) found that difference in risk attitudes and behaviour can depend on the context: individuals can change risk attitude across different domains. Among these domains are financial, which consists of investment and gambling, social, recreational, health/safety and ethical. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the differences in risk attitudes between the Czech Republic and Russia. For this purpose data for the empirical analysis was gathered using a questionnaire based on Domain-Specific Risk-Taking (DOSPERT) Scale proposed by Weber, Blais and Betz (2002). The collected data were analyzed using linear regression, following Weber, Blais and Betz (2002) and Breuer et al. (2013). The main findings revealed that there is a difference in risk attitude: the participants from Russian sample tend to be more risk-seeking in financial domain, especially in gambling, than the respondents from Czech sample. Also interesting finding is that Russians are more interested in getting profit or any other kind of benefits from the participation in risky activities, while Czechs decide to engage in risky activities by first taking into account their individual perception how risky these activities could be.

Unsustainable business practices coupled with an illusion of the masses plagues the higher education model in the United States today. It used to hold that college was the key to a successful job for fresh graduates. . . . We are in the midst of a speculative bubble composed of inflated expectations about the university system. This paper aims to analyze that there is indeed a speculative bubble of the US Higher Education system. The increased demand for college, skyrocketing tuition and room & board fees, as well as easier access to loans for funding have contributed to the formation of this bubble.

With help of regression analysis it was concluded that there is positive relationship between real GDP and Brent oil price. Also the positive dependence was found between real GDP and both index of industrial production and real personal consumption expenditures. On the other hand the relationship between long-term interest rate and real GDP was negative. Unemployment rate and consumer price index were not significant and had negative dependence with real GDP. The aforementioned hypothesis about the negative relationship between GDP and price of oil was confirmed in line with initial theoretical predictions based on detailed review of Russian economy.

This thesis focuses mainly on analysing leading indicators of business cycles within the USA since the 1960s until the present, while providing theoretical background to the coincident and lagging indicators. United States is a country with incredibly rich amounts of data, which enable a thorough analysis of individual variables. First part is dedicated to different theories that explain the behaviour of cyclical fluctuations, such as a monetarist, Keynesian, or real business cycle approaches are included, followed by defining individual cyclical indicators with the provision of examples. Second part consists of actual analysis starting with dating post-war cycles and real GDP development. Three leading indicators are then analysed and evaluated, specifically the amounts of building permits issued, spread between a 10-year Treasury constant maturity bill and Federal funds rate and finally the unemployment insurance claims. Evaluation is based on individual success rates obtained from historical data. The third and final chapter attempts to forecast the economic outlook of the current business cycle using obtained data from the previous chapter. Conclusion provides an overall summary of individual parts along with pointing out the main findings.

The purpose of the thesis is to analyze the available information on the technological unemployment issue. The hypothesis of the thesis is that displacement of workers because of technological development has reasonable chances to happen in the future. Technological unemployment is hotly debated issue. Some part of economists argue that technological unemployment is a short-term problem; others see it as a risk for society. Thus, at this stage it is important to identify controversy in studies, analyze proposed policies and suggest the possible strategies. In order to gain the in depth knowledge required for the thesis a literature synthesis methodology was used. The concluding recommendations for researchers and policy makers include three important point to design an appropriate policy measure: number of population in a region, specialization of a region, previous placement of a worker. The effective solution is considered a mix of policies to target the problem from different prospective.

The bachelor thesis aims at answering the question if the regional and European Union Cohesion policy correlates with a decrease in unemployment rate in Romania. The thesis starts the analysis with a controversial theoretical background, including the convergence and divergence views and the related economic theories, as Solow and AK models. The study proceeds to a short description of the Cohesion Policy, its funds and targeted aims. The bachelor thesis then analyses the challenges of the Romanian labor market, the reasons that bring to a non-competitive labor environment, and further on focuses on the vulnerable groups of population most affected by unemployment. At the same time, at this section the paper provides a final distinction between two time horizons: before joining and after joining the European Union. The last part of the research is composed of an empirical work concerning Cohesion policy funding and the effectiveness on a macroeconomic indicator, as unemployment. The correlation between unemployment rate and Cohesion Policy is found to be negative, as expected from the theoretical background.

The present concern of most member countries in the EU is the short and long term impact of the influx of the Syrian refugees on their economy. The crisis in the Syrian territory has caused citizens to seek refuge and safety in nearby countries, thus creating an imbalance in the micro and macroeconomic activities of the receiving countries.The quality as well as the quantity of labor an economy can access has a direct influence on its GDP growth. An influx of labor to an economy as a result of the massive migration crisis caused by war, if not strategically harnessed and economically managed, could induce economic challenges. The aim of this study is to examine and estimate the economic impact that migrants coming to the EU due to the Syrian civil war will have by doing a regression analysis of immigration on the European Union labor market with variables such as wages, fiscal positions and employment. This research articulates from its findings that this has further augmented economies with available labor, and as a result, inducing an increase in unemployment, wages, and GDP growth.

This thesis examines the impact of technological advancements on employment and wages in European Union. In order to examine this relation the date set for period over 1990-2010 of 10 European Member states were used. The data represented statistical information for Austria, Germany, France , Finland, Spain, Denmark, Netherlands, Ireland , Italy and the United Kingdom. With the help of regression it was concluded there is significant relation of employment and wages with technological advancements. I use the R&D expenditures share of GDP as main proxy for technological advancements, unemployment rate and average wage for dependent variable. Using the Fixed Effects estimator, I found that there is negative relation between R&D expenditures and Unemployment rate. Similarly, I found that there is negative relation between R&D expenditures and Average Wages. Thus , I discuss possible explanation for this paradox.

This thesis examines the impact of exchange rate fluctuation on trade balance. In order to examine the effect of depreciation of domestic currency on the trade balance, the data for Russian Federation was used. The time series analysis includes quarterly data since 2000 till 2014. With help of cointegration model it was concluded that there is a long-term dependence between exchange rate and trade balance. Regression results suggest that the impact of depreciation of national currency on trade balance of Russia is positive after one quarter, while response of exchange rate depreciation without time lag is deterioration of the balance of trade. This empirical evidence supports the pattern of movement described by the J-Curve.
