Luego de varios años de aplicaciones, al realizarse un metanálisis, se revisó la prueba y surgió el TED-R, único medio cientí co de evaluación de la esperanza trascendente. Con esos instrumentos (TED y TED-R) se realizaron 50 investigaciones, sobre unos 8500 casos, referidos a una amplia gama de temas, muestras y variables, que puso de mani esto el carácter salutífero de la esperanza y las asociaciones de la desesperanza con diversas patologías. Se presentan las aplicaciones clínicas de la esperanza, de alto grado de e cacia, lo que con gura un tipo de psicoterapia original, que trae aportes a la estrategia, a las técnicas y a las características personales del terapeuta. Finalmente, se sintetizan los estudios sobre la esperanza trascendente, los cuales tienen la originalidad de ser las únicas investigaciones científicas sobre el tema. La esperanza trascendente es la forma suprema de la esperanza, por su legitimidad lógica, su carácter ilimitado y su valor perfecto.
