The purpose of the present study was to analyze Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly (APAQ) publications over the journal's fourth decade (2014–2023) and compare them with previous documentary analyses of the first 3 decades. Consistent with prior documentary analyses, publications were coded and analyzed based on the use of theory, research participants, topic, whether the study was an intervention, first-author country affiliation, and research method. The total number of published research papers increased substantially (n = 61) from the third to the fourth decade. Similar to prior documentary analyses, most of the research was quantitative (n = 140; 57.5%), followed by qualitative research (n = 96; 39.5%). There were far more qualitative-research publications in the fourth decade compared with the third decade (n = 34). This may reflect the continued acceptance and growth of qualitative research compared with 10–20 years ago. It may also reflect the value of rich in-depth exploratory research using small samples. Additional trends included more review papers and meta-analyses, possibly reflecting the increased knowledge base in particular areas requiring synthesis. The diversity of topics also increased, with papers on dignity, classification, coaching, and the Paralympics playing more prominent roles. The number of international publications also grew substantially. The article discusses research which assessed the extent of publication delay of systemic reviews (SR) or original research articles in dentistry. Findings indicate the top domains of SR including oral medicine, orofacial pain and oral pathology, as well as the importance of recency of primary studies concerning the publication time of an SR. Data shows the descriptive statistics of included SRs and the duration of publication intervals. Potential solutions for SR production flow are offered.

This column is intended to address the kinds of knotty problems and dilemmas with which many scholars grapple in studying health professions education. In this article, the authors address the challenges in proofreading a manuscript. Emerging researchers might think that someone in the production team will catch any errors. This may not always be the case. We emphasize the importance of guiding mentees to take the process of preparing a manuscript for submission seriously.

Traditional GBR procedures have been associated with frequent complications and compromised peri-implant esthetics. Tunneling techniques have been proposed as a promising alternative in this regard. More recently, a subperiosteal minimally invasive aesthetic ridge augmentation technique (SMART) was reported to have been clinically successful in a prospective case series. This technique includes the use of a bone graft/recombinant human platelet-derived growth factor-BB combination delivered to the site by a tunneling method. However, published histologic information regarding the nature of the regenerated tissue has been limited. The current study evaluated the histologic and histomorphometric findings of four human specimens harvested at 2, 5, 9, and 14 months after ridge augmentation using the SMART method. Evaluations of the wound healing and bone regeneration sequence over time found that the ridge augmentation was the result of extensive new bone formation that progressed through the woven bone to lamellar bone stages, with remodeling of the xenogeneic graft material and replacement by patient bone. Publishers face an existential threat from a variety of news aggregators, such as free aggregators (e.g., Google News, Yahoo News), micropayment-facilitating aggregators (e.g., Blendle), and subscription-charging aggregators (e.g., Apple News+). The authors seek to theoretically examine whether publishers can collaborate and compete with the different types of news aggregators and, if so, what pricing and content-sharing strategies publishers should pursue. In the absence of a news aggregator, publishers sell their content as a composite publication; this intensifies interpublisher price competition and hurts publishers' profits. A free aggregator, however, could help unbundle the articles of a publisher. Moreover, if publishers share articles on the same topic with a free aggregator, they can completely eliminate interpublisher competition and replace it with competition between the aggregator and the publishers, but they only partially eliminate interpublisher competition if they share articles on different topics with it. Yet, the free aggregator needs to bring sufficient additional traffic to the publishers to motivate them to share content and collaborate with it. Conversely, publishers will be willing to collaborate with a micropayment-facilitating aggregator even if it does not bring additional traffic to the publishers. This is because a micropayment-facilitating aggregator helps publishers unbundle their content and price discriminate. Lastly, publishers can be motivated to collaborate even with a subscription-charging aggregator that is powerful enough to dictate the terms of the revenue-sharing arrangement with the publishers. BACKGROUND: Despite the pivotal role of clinical trials in advancing orthopaedic oncology knowledge and treatment strategies, the persistent issues of trial discontinuation and nonpublication are significant problems. This study conducted an analysis examining clinical trial discontinuation rates, associations between intervention types and discontinuation/nonpublication, and the role of funding, enrollment size, and their implications for trial success and completion. METHODS: This study, conducted on May 1, 2023, utilized a cross-sectional design to comprehensively analyze phase 3 and 4 randomized controlled trials within the realm of orthopaedic oncology. We specifically incorporated Phase 3 and 4 trials as they are designed to evaluate prolonged outcomes in human subjects and are more likely to reach publication. Study characteristics of interest included the intervention utilized in the clinical trial, presence of funding, whether the trial was published, completed, and trial enrollment size. The investigation involved an examination of ClinicalTrials.gov, a prominent online repository of clinical trial data managed by the National Library of Medicine of the USA. Descriptive statistics and multivariate logistic regressions were used to determine statistical significance. RESULTS: Among the cohort of 130 trials, 19.2% were prematurely discontinued. IntroductionThe analysis of surgical research using bibliometric measures has become increasingly prevalent. Absolute citation counts (CC) or indices are commonly used markers of research quality but may not adequately capture the most impactful research. A novel scoring system, the disruptive score (DS) has been found to identity academic work that either changes paradigms (disruptive (DIS) work) or entrenches ideas (developmental (DEV) work). We sought to analyze the most DIS and DEV versus most cited research in civilian trauma.MethodsThe top papers by DS and by CC from trauma and surgery journals were identified via a professional literature search. The identified publications were then linked to the National Institutes of Health iCite tool to quantify total CC and related metrics. The top 100 DIS and DEV publications by DS were analyzed based on the area of focus, citation, and perceived clinical impact, and compared with the top 100 papers by CC.Results32 293 articles published between 1954 and 2014 were identified. The most common publication location of selected articles was published in Journal of Trauma (31%). Retrospective reviews (73%) were common in DIS (73%) and top CC (67%) papers, while DEV papers were frequently case reports (49%). Only 1 publication was identified in the top 100 DIS and top 100 CC lists. This paper explores the potential of language models such as ChatGPT to transform library cataloging. Through experiments with ChatGPT, the author demonstrates its ability to generate accurate MARC records using RDA and other standards such as the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set. These results demonstrate the potential of ChatGPT as a tool for streamlining the record creation process and improving efficiency in library settings. The use of AI-generated records, however, also raises important questions related to intellectual property rights and bias. The paper reviews recent studies on AI in libraries and concludes that further research and development of this innovative technology is necessary to ensure its responsible implementation in the field of library cataloging. This paper reports on the Dotcoms to Watch session at Academic Publishing in Europe (APE) 2024. Objective To summarize the publications to date from a large obstetric cohort of nulliparous individuals. Study design We summarized all of the publications from the Nulliparous Pregnancy Outcomes Study: Monitoring Mothers-to-be (nuMoM2b). We descriptively summarized the most common outcomes and exposures reported in current publications. Results Fifty-six publications to date are discussed. The most common primary exposures reported are participant baseline characteristics such as body mass index (24%), sociodemographic characteristics (22%), and sleep factors (16%). These exposures were most commonly measured in the first trimester (77%). The most commonly reported primary outcomes were related to adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs, 51.6%), with 25% using a composite of multiple APOs as the primary outcome. At least 8,000 participants were used in the analyses of over half of the publications. Conclusion The nuMoM2b study has generated a diverse array of publications and conclusions on factors associated with APOs. The publicly available data set from the nuMoM2b study continues to hold potential for considerable advances, new insights, and future research opportunities to optimize pregnancy and pregnancy-related health. Stock price prediction with financial news is beneficial for making correct investment decisions. Recent researches mainly focus on extracting sentiments from news. The publishers as a crucial part of news, which can reflect the authority and reliability, but are usually neglected. In this paper, we propose a novel hybrid deep learning model for stock price prediction that considers the financial news publishers. Specifically, a novel feature about financial news publishers is constructed by classifying financial news publishers. Furthermore, a novel hybrid model named 2d-CNN-AM-LSTM is proposed by combining Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), Attention Mechanism (AM) and Long Short-term Memory, so that it can fuse textual and numerical data in-depth. To verify the superiority of the proposed model, numerous baselines are employed to conduct experiments with representative stock datasets. The experimental analysis demonstrates that the proposed model considering financial news publishers surpasses other benchmarks and achieves outstanding prediction performance. Objective: The purpose of this study is to identify and visualize from different perspectives the topic on occupational exposure in operating room (OEOR). Methods: In the Web of Science Core Collection (WoSCC), all the half-century data were retrieved from January 1st, 1973 to December 31st, 2022. CiteSpace, VOSviewer and Excel 2019 were employed to analyze and visualize data, based on publications, countries, institutions, journals, authors, keywords. Result: A total of 336 journal papers were found. The increase of publications virtually started in 1991, peaked in 2020 and has been slowing down ever since. USA played most significant part among all the 49 countries/regions, while Universidade Estadual Paulista out of 499 institutions published the most papers. International Archives of Occupational and Environmental Health bears the most documents and citations in all the 219 retrieved journals. There are 1847 authors found, among whom Hoerauf K is the most influential one. "Occupational exposure", "nitrous oxide" and "operating room personnel" are the top 3 co-occurrences keywords. Conclusion: The trend in the field lies in "anaesthetic gas", "blood borne pathogen", "radiation" and "aerosol", while "surgical smoke" and "occupational safety" are the recently researching hot spots in this study. This study examines e-lending dynamics in Scandinavian public libraries, by exploring the relationship between libraries and publishing houses. We ask how representatives of both fields perceive the public library’s role. Public libraries and publishers have traditionally served different roles in the book sphere: the library as a key cultural policy institution providing access to information and culture, and the publishers as involved in the production of books, operating on commercial premises. This relationship is affected by the change from ownership to licensing of digital book collections, which occurs along with changes on the national book markets. As a theoretical and analytical tool, the study uses the institutional logics perspective to explore the relations between different perceptions. We argue that this relationship can be illuminated through the dynamics of public service logic, market logic and digital logic. The study is empirically based on 26 in-depth interviews interviews with representatives of Danish, Norwegian and Swedish major libraries and trade publishers. Findings indicate that the relationship is nuanced and multifaceted, more than if it relied on a simple opposition between the public and the market. Both libraries and publishers share a common understanding of public service and market logics; however, they differ in perceptions of library’s role which is amplified by digital logic. The Open Science movement is taking hold around the world, and language testers are taking part. In this Viewpoint, I discuss how sharing, collaborating, and building trust, guided by Open Science principles, benefit the language testing field. To help more language testers join in, I present a standard definition of Open Science and describe four ways language testing researchers can immediately partake. This article analyzes the concerns and activities of the B.W. Huebsch-led Booksellers' School in New York City (1912–1918) to argue how certain fundamentals of bookselling met with a strong emphasis on a national (American) literature partly through a series of lectures run by Van Wyck Brooks. The School sought to educate sellers in national canons of literature and help them sell the fledgling American one. In bringing together the profession of bookselling and literariness the Booksellers' School offered a blueprint for a new form of bookselling—one which embraced an idea of literariness as a commercial tactic. By addressing the ideas on bookselling and American literature Huebsch and Brooks forwarded at the School I show the potential influence it had on the bookselling landscape in the early twentieth century. This article begins by tracing the reception history of an influential 1984 article in Marcan studies by a long-standing member of the Catholic Biblical Association. Published four decades ago, Augustine Stock's article "Chiastic Awareness and Education in Antiquity" has enjoyed a high number of positive citations in the downstream literature in the decades that followed its publication, and the upward trend line for commending citations continues to the present. The analysis offered here is an exercise in post-publication peer review. The main argument is that the acclaim directed at Stock's article has been misallocated. Nearly every positive reference to Stock's 1984 study in the downstream literature should have been directed instead to the books and articles by a host of authors whose works were excerpted verbatim and near verbatim, without credit, to constitute the bulk of Stock's celebrated article. The implication of this study is clear: there are strong reasons to think that the discipline of biblical studies has a largely undiagnosed misattribution problem. Stock's 1984 article is not a unique case to Marcan studies or to the larger field of biblical studies. An examination of two further publications exemplifies the scale of the problem. Since the advent of replantation techniques, there has been uneven progress in terms of success—even considering whether success is defined as continued perfusion of the digit or long term functional outcomes. Early enthusiasm and success have not been maintained despite increasing familiarity with microsurgical techniques and greater understanding of how to optimize outcomes for the individual components of replantation such as tendon repair, nerve repair, and osteosynthesis. Practitioners participating in the care of patients undergoing replantation should be familiar with the history and current understanding of both the indications and contraindications for the procedure, post-operative rehabilitation, and factors contributing to functional outcomes. A review of the literature from the first publications on the topic demonstrates evolution in practice and understanding of which patients should be indicated for replantation. Indications can be considered in three broad categories: injury factors, patient factors, and care context factors. These factors intersect with one another and can inform the surgeon pre-operatively regarding the most likely outcome for a given patient. The article introduces a new publishing model for clinical practice guidelines by the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) in Clinical Infectious Diseases (CID). Topics include the shift from comprehensive, large manuscripts to smaller; the process of releasing guidelines first on the IDSA website before publishing in CID; and the rationale behind this change, evidence-based recommendations for clinicians and policy makers.

We examined the use of person- and identity-first language (PFL, IFL) in scholarly writing about autism by reviewing 12,962 journal abstracts from 11 autism research journals (mostly covering the years 2001–2022). We found a preference for PFL (64.68%) over IFL (15.83%) when considering aggregated, within-journal breakdowns (with abstracts using both representing 19.50%). However, when examining language use longitudinally, we observed a general trend toward increasing use of IFL after years of stable trends showing predominant use of PFL. These trends were not consistent across all reviewed journals, as some journals demonstrated preference for either PFL or IFL across all observed years. Notably, we highlight the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders as a special case that offers a 51-year perspective (1971–2022); here, IFL was predominant until the 1990s, when PFL became a stable majority, and in the late 2010s, IFL started to increase. Journal differences in aggregate breakdowns and longitudinal trends are discussed in line with recent policy changes, journal submission guidelines, and shifting perspectives in autism research. Implications for writing about autistic individuals and the role that language plays within the broader autism research scholarly community are discussed. There are many ways to refer to an individual who is on the autism spectrum. A recommended approach has been to use person-first language (PFL), such as "person with autism." A different approach is to use identity-first language (IFL), such as "autistic person." Recent studies focused on different groups of people (e.g. autistic self-advocates, parents, and practitioners) show that some groups prefer PFL (practitioners) while others prefer IFL (autistic self-advocates). However, less is known about how researchers use PFL and IFL in academic writing (e.g. studies published in scientific journals) involving autistic research participants. Our study examined 12,962 journal abstracts (short summaries of scientific articles) from 11 academic journals that publish autism research findings. We wanted to know (a) about the use of PFL and IFL across abstracts, and (b) how PFL and IFL use has changed annually over time. We examined data for all journals individually and grouped together. Our findings showed that journal abstracts generally use PFL (65%) with some using either IFL (16%) or both PFL and IFL (20%). However, journals varied, with some showing a clear majority for PFL and a couple for IFL. Examining trends over time across journals showed that while PFL appeared to be the majority for most journals, IFL has steadily increased in the recent few years. Our study helps us understand how autism researchers write about autistic individuals and offers implications for helping researchers intentionally make choices about the language used in their autism research studies. Diversity is an important issue in higher education communication and media programs. This study shows how librarians can use audit data to assess and strive for diversity in their library's print monographic collections. This article explores aspects of diversity within two fields of study, communication and media, and discusses the results of a diversity audit of communication and media monographs published between 2013 and 2022. The author analyzes thirteen diversity-related topics and their coverage within communication and media. Background: Collaborations are an essential element of scientific activity and particularly important in fields such as pediatric anesthesiology, where the evidence base in general is relatively limited. A recent scientometric analysis revealed a geographic diversification of publication activity in pediatric anesthesiology within the last two decades, accompanied by a surge in international collaborations. Objectives: Given the hypothesis of a similar growth in the activity and dynamics of publications in pediatric anesthesiology, the objective of this scientometric study was to analyze the publication activity and collaboration habits in research in pediatric anesthesiology from Germany, Austria and Switzerland (D-A-CH). Method: This secondary analysis identified all publications on pediatric anesthesiology with an affiliation from the D‑A-CH countries between 2001 and 2020 from PubMed and Web of Science. The query parameters included the timeframe 2001–2020, authors' affiliations tied to anesthesiology departments (using various forms of the term "anesthesia"), and the mention of pediatric interest in titles or abstracts. The data underwent standardization to account for linguistic variations. The publications were assigned to a state, city and institution based on the correspondence address, to a year based on the publication date and to a source based on the journal. The primary endpoint was publication activity and dynamics, represented by the number of publications and the respective growth rates (calculated as the linear regression slope). Secondary endpoints included the share of collaborations within and outside the D‑A-CH region (at the country and institutional level), the distribution of publication activity and the most prominent sources of publications. Results: Between 2001 and 2020 a total of 3406 publications on pediatric anesthesiology involving authors from the D‑A-CH countries were identified. Of these 2807 (82.4%) had a correspondence address in D‑A-CH. The average annual growth rate of publications with a correspondence address was + 2.9% for the D‑A-CH countries and + 7.7% for publications with collaborations. The number of publications in which an institution from D‑A-CH was named as a coauthor from a correspondence address outside D‑A-CH also increased by an average of 7.4% per year during the study period. The majority of collaborations occurred between institutions within the D‑A-CH region, although Swiss institutions exhibited a much higher proportion of collaborations outside the region. Of all publications with a correspondence address 90% originated from 46 cities. The most prominent source was Die Anästhesiologie for publications from Germany, and Pediatric Anesthesia for publications from Austria and Switzerland. Conclusion: The number of publications in pediatric anesthesiology from the D‑A-CH countries has increased over the past two decades, accompanied by a surge in collaborations. The rise of solo self-employment has led to the emergence of increasingly broad categories of workers in search of collective representation, who find no support either in trade unions or in employer organizations. Based on the case of Redacta, an informal group founded in Italy and composed of solo self-employed (SSE) workers in the publishing industry, the article contributes to the debate on Resource Mobilization Theory and New Social Movements by showing that, along with other resources typically available to social movements and activist groups, it is mainly through the combination of institutional and symbolic-performative resources that a process of grassroots organizing—that we call socio-emotional organizing —can be successfully triggered, especially in the case of particularly underrepresented groups of workers, such as the SSE. Children, women, and older people suffer different types of violence, which appears to have been exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic and the relative lockdown. The aim of this study is to analyze the literature about gender violence and abuse in the different ages of life and during the COVID-19 lockdown. Data were obtained from an electronic literature search using various online sources such as PubMed, Google Scholar, Science Direct and Web of Science. The terms "child abuse" were the most frequently used, followed in frequency by "gender violence," "femicide," and, lastly, "elderly abuse." The first studies considered gender-based violence as a purely physical problem, then, progressively, the analysis focused on the psychological point of view of the issue. There was a greater number of studies in 2020 about violence in comparison with previous years. The social and scientific attention to gender-based violence appeared to be very poor, especially in the case of older people abuse. It is necessary to increase general attention to the topic to correctly identify each form of abuse and to be able to take care of the subjects most at risk. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article examines the connection between John Lyly, the Marprelate Controversy, and the 1589 version of Hamlet. It argues that the Marprelate controversy, a pamphlet war challenging the established order, led to the inhibition of stage performances mentioned in Hamlet. John Lyly's involvement in the controversy resulted in the dissolution of the Paul's Boys acting troupe. The article suggests that the 1589 version of Hamlet, known as Q1 or the Ur-Hamlet, was likely written by William Shakespeare and alludes to the Marprelate controversy. The publishing history of Hamlet is also discussed, with Q1 and Q2 being considered legitimate publications, while FF, the collected plays of "William Shakespeare," was printed in 1623. The article concludes by examining the passage in Hamlet where the Tragedians of the City are mentioned and the reasons for their travels. The text explores different interpretations of the term "innovation" in Hamlet, including the rise of child actors and possible official displeasure faced by adult actors. It also discusses historical events such as the Essex Rebellion and the revival of Paul's Boys as potential sources of the innovation and inhibition mentioned in the play. The Marprelate controversy of 1588-1590, which involved a war of pamphlets between Puritans and the Church of England, had a significant impact on the theater industry. The United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aim to eradicate poverty and inequality, protect the planet, and ensure health, justice, and prosperity for all, emphasizing inclusivity. Within the realm of scholarly publishing, the panel discussion Can scholarly publishers change the world? The role of the SDGs within the publishing industry held at Academic Publishing in Europe 2024, highlighted the business advantages of aligning with SDGs and made a plea to reshape the narrative beyond mere moral obligation as well as to galvanize stakeholders to take action and promote engagement, offering a clear direction. This paper expands on the panel discussion, which was moderated by Stephanie Dawson, CEO, ScienceOpen. Background: Cost-effectiveness analysis (CEA) has become a crucial technique in appraising the efficiency of healthcare interventions and resource allocation decisions. Cost-effectiveness analysis is now widely used to evaluate whether the effect of a healthcare intervention justifies additional expenditure. Method: We used PubMed database with search descriptors: "Cost effectiveness" [Title / Abstract] OR "Cost effectiveness analysis" [Title / Abstract] AND "Healthcare" [Title / Abstract]. The common bibliometric indicators were applied. Results: We retrieved a total of 7,561 articles within 2013 and 2023. The growth pattern showed a progressive pattern. Articles with 5 authors signature had the highest number in publication. The most productive authors in cost effectiveness research in healthcare were Liew Danny and Ademi Zanfina. The most utilized journals for the publications were BMJ Open, PLoS One and Journal of Medical Economics. The most productive institutions were resident in United Kingdom with the University of York and University of Oxford at the helm. Conclusion: Scientific production in Cost effectiveness in healthcare research was found to be progressive. Laura Feetham-Walker, Reviewer Engagement Manager at IOP Publishing, recently won the Academic Publishing in Europe (APE) Innovation award for invigorating the peer review process with the launch of the Peer Review Excellence programme, a comprehensive training and recognition programme, and introducing co-review and reviewer feedback. In this paper, we discuss how IOP Publishing has implemented these innovations and how they can future-proof a process that has served the academic community for centuries. This article examines the relationship between emotion, production and sales in the book publishing industry, specifically how ‘book love’ operates in the publication and promotion of Young Adult (YA) titles. Through interviews conducted in 2020–2023, the article examines how commissioning editors, booksellers and associated professionals in Australia experience and use emotion in their production and sale of YA titles. It argues that emotion plays three economic roles in the intersubjective transferral of ‘book love’ through the chain of production, distribution and sales. Australian industry professionals mobilize book love as capital, as labour and as currency in fulfilling the expectations of their roles. Aim: To evaluate the experience and effectiveness of six semi-structured writing retreats on research publication quantity and quality for nursing and midwifery academics and research students. Background: Research publications are necessary to develop a track record to gain competitive funding and for promotion. Publications also improve the standing of universities because their performance is measured in-part by research outputs. However, there are challenges to writing for publication, especially for new nursing and midwifery academics and research students. Therefore, four of the authors initiated semi-structured writing retreats to support nursing and midwifery academics and research students to overcome these challenges. Methods: A mixed methods exploratory sequential design consisting of two distinct phases and data collection methods. In phase one, an online evaluation was administered to collect participant experiences which were then analysed using content analysis. In phase two, data about the quantity and quality of publications arising from each retreat was collected, and descriptive statistics performed. Results: A total of 70 participants responded to the online evaluation. Qualitative analysis of their responses demonstrated that the writing retreats were highly valued as they offered a collaborative environment with dedicated time to focus on writing for publication. Quantitative analysis identified 81 publications were planned over the six writing retreats. Of these, 60 have been published, 5 are under review, 5 have not yet been submitted, and 11 were abandoned. Conclusions: Findings demonstrated that our six semi-structured writing retreats enabled and developed nursing and midwifery academics and research students writing for publication. Semi-structured writing retreats are a research investment that enabled preparation of high-quality publications by offering protected time to write, expert peer review and collaboration and networking opportunities. It mentions that academic freedom has often been overlooked in IR, despite its significance in fostering knowledge production and critical inquiry, especially in the context of increasing authoritarianism and attacks on scholarly independence globally.

Workshops or training sessions on medical writing and publishing exist worldwide. We aimed to evaluate published articles about such workshops and examine both the content and teaching strategies employed. We searched ISI Web of Science, Ovid EMBASE, ERIC, Ovid Medline, and the grey literature. We considered no language, geographical location, or time period limitations. We included randomized controlled trials, before–after studies, surveys, cohort studies, and program evaluation and development studies. We descriptively reported the results. Out of 222 articles that underwent a full-text review, 30 were deemed eligible. The educational sessions were sporadic, with researchers often developing their own content and methods. Fifteen articles reported teaching the standard structure of medical articles, ten articles reported on teaching optimal English language use for writing articles, nine articles discussed publication ethics issues, and three articles discussed publication strategies to enhance the chance of publication. Most reports lacked in-depth descriptions of the content and strategies used, and the approach to those topics was relatively superficial. Existing workshops have covered topics such as the standard structure of articles, publication ethics, techniques for improving publication rates, and how to use the English language. Advancement of mid-career medical writers (MWs) to senior levels requires augmentation beyond the traditional training provided to MWs at all levels. In response to this need, online training and classes taught by more experienced writers in-house, external lecturers, or a mixture of both delivered through didactic presentations should be supplemented with methods that allow for interaction between the trainer and trainees and for a tailored approach. We therefore designed an interactive, engaging, and dynamic training model that would draw on varied perspectives of colleagues. This Master Class Series was led by an external instructor and was based on a structured critique of regulatory document organization, content, and style. In this article, we share our experience from the perspectives of manager, trainer, and participant. The Master Class Series was successful in part because of its dynamic content. The participants felt that this training greatly improved their understanding of the broader contexts in which documents are used and their ability to develop coherent documents. Participants further felt that their ability to implement a top-down approach in strategy documents and in applying lean writing principles was enhanced. They all agreed that they greatly benefit from exposure to each other's creativity in solving challenges in data and content presentation and concurred that it is very likely that they would sign up for a course with a similar model in the future. This research aimed to examine the opinions of classroom teachers about the supplementary resource books distributed free of charge by the Ministry of Education in the 2022-2023 academic year in primary schools. Phenomenology, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. Within the scope of the research, interviews were held with 20 classroom teachers working in primary schools. Looking at the research results, according to teachers' opinions; The explanation of the subject in the supplementary reference books is insufficient, the number of examples is low and they are above the student's level. In addition, the texts and questions in the supplementary resources are designed to be long and boring. According to teachers who compared the auxiliary resources distributed by the Ministry of Education with the auxiliary resources published by private publishing houses, private resources are more comprehensive in terms of question patterns, activity examples, attractiveness, and measurement and evaluation. The publication of Benjamin Franklin's collected works has a long and complex history. William Temple Franklin, his grandson, was bequeathed his papers in 1790, but it took until 1815 until he began work on editing them, and it wasn't until 1818 that the first volume in the series was published. Temple has been much maligned for these delays and for the supposed poor quality of his work. This article rectifies that by looking in detail at the circumstances Temple faced, including the details of his contract with publisher Henry Colburn, the various stages of preparation for the volumes, and the search for a translator for the French edition. Despite the errors and omissions in Temple's London and Paris editions, his volumes were the most complete to be published until considerably later in the century and are still drawn on by modern editors. BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Care plans summarize a child with medical complexity's (CMC) medical history and ongoing care needs. Often, the health care team controls the care plan content, limiting caregivers' ability to edit the document in real time and potentially compromising accuracy and utility. With this study, we aimed to provide caregivers of CMC with online access and shared editing control of their child's care plan and to explore the experiences of caregivers and care team members (CTMs) after using an online collaborative care plan (OCCP). METHODS: Caregivers of CMC were recruited from a tertiary complex care program to use an online, patient-facing platform for 6 months, which included the ability to edit and share their child's care plan. Caregivers and CTMs participated in semi-structured interviews to explore their experiences in using the OCCP. Consistent with grounded theory methodology, a constant comparative analysis was used, which allowed for theoretical sampling and theory generation. RESULTS: A total of 15 caregivers and 20 CTMs completed interviews. Interviews revealed 3 major themes and 9 subthemes, including (1) the navigation of uncharted roles (trust, responsibility), (2) the requirements for success (electronic medical record integration, online access, collaborative care plan review), and (3) cohesive care (accessibility and convenience, being on the same page, autonomy). Themes informed the creation of a theoretical model for the implementation and utility of OCCPs. CONCLUSIONS: Online, collaborative care plans, when implemented safely and thoughtfully, promote shared understanding, improve caregiver autonomy, and increase the accessibility of health information. Together, these benefits facilitate cohesive care and authentic partnership between caregivers and CTMs in the care of CMC. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
