This study investigated the influence of experiential learning (EL) on entrepreneurial intention (EI) of the students through the lens of perceived behavioural control (PBC). To present a comprehensive perspective, we have explored the direct influence of the antecedents associated with the theory of planned behavior (TPB). The data for were collected via a structured questionnaire from 1,250 final-year management science students. The study employed the partial least squares structural equation modelling method approach for data analysis. The results confirm positive relationships between EL and EI (β = 0.266). In addition, PBC mediates and enhances the relationship between EL and EI (β = 0.30). The result also showed that the TPB antecedents, namely entrepreneurial attitude, subjective norms, and PBC, significantly and positively influence students’ EIs. The proposed model explains a 64% variance in EIs. Moreover, the influence of EL on EI gets stronger when PBC acts as a mediator. Therefore, it is necessary to concentrate on PBC and EL.The study has valuable insights and practical and theoretical implications forhigher education institutions, and policymakers on making more informed resource allocations and fostering an environment conducive to entrepreneurship.

This study examines the serial mediation effect of perceived behavioral control and entrepreneurial attitude (EA) on the relationship between subjective norms (SBN) and entrepreneurial intentions (EIs) of students in higher education institutes in India. Based on the theory of planned behavior (TPB), data were gathered using a structured questionnaire distributed to 134 students from institutes offering entrepreneurship education, employing a cross-sectional research design. The structural equation modeling method, specifically partial least squares (PLS), was employed for data analysis and path modeling. The findings indicate that perceived behavioral control and EA serially mediate the connection between SBN and EIs. Entrepreneurial education (EE) moderated the serial mediation effect among SBN, EA, perceived behavioral control and EA. This study underscores the significance of EE in the experiential learning process of students, aiding them in cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset. The insights from this research will guide policymakers, higher education institutes and universities in refining the education content and curriculum design. A comprehensive curriculum will be advantageous for prospective entrepreneurs who will participate in future entrepreneurship education. Recognizing the role of knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship education can bolster EIs, subsequently benefiting emerging economies and fostering economic growth through new venture creations.

It employs the extension of the TPB model by focusing on the intention-behaviour gap, an under-researched area in research. Furthermore, it investigates the moderating effect of entrepreneurial motivation on the relationship between intention and behaviour to improve conceptual model predictability. Methods A structured questionnaire was used to gather data from 1,564 engineering students, and the data were analyzed using structural equation modelling (SEM) with Amos software. Results The results revealed that subjective norms were the strongest predictor of entrepreneurial intention and behaviour, followed by entrepreneurial alertness, perceived behavioural control, attitude towards entrepreneurship, need for achievement, and risk tolerance. Moreover, the moderation analysis showed that entrepreneurial motivation was crucial in moderating the relationship between intention and behaviour. Conclusions The present conceptual model contributes to the existing TPB model by improving predictive power to understand the intention-behaviour relationship. The results of the study will assist policymakers, academicians of higher education institutions, and universities in developing policies, strategies, and curricula to engage more students in entrepreneurial activities.

The future in the services industry belongs to Artificial Intelligence (AI) driven machines, which is a major source of worry for the job market in India. Over 50% of India’s GDP constitutes services, and it is a major source of employment for the skilled manpower of India. The research measures the impact of AI on service jobs in India based on qualitative parameters such as logical, natural, physical, and compassion; and finds which aspect serves the jobs better between machines and humans. The jobs taken over by AI are primarily at the task level more than the job level and for the basic tasks predominantly. The replacement starts with the basic tasks involved in providing service and then it grows to perform all the tasks involved in services. The research finds out that the logical aspects of the service will slowly reduce in the coming 5–10 years as AI will perform all the logic-related tasks leaving more emotional tasks such as compassion for humans. Finally, even these emotional-related tasks will be taken over by the AI which provides us with a very interesting combination of man and machine in the Indian scenario still threatening human employment.
